What determines a wolf's weight? Does genetics and the amount of food I feed them have any effect on the weight of my wolves?

A wolf's weight mostly depends on genetics, and chance.

It is determined at the wolf's birth, and cannot be changed.

So I can get wolves of a certain weight by breeding wolves of a certain weight? What is the best weight to breed?
