Kadath:
Better to just put this image here. Open it in a new tab. This is meant to be a human world, but there's a typo or two mentioning wolves when it shouldn't.

This is a pretty dark and horrific world. It's supposed to be a more mature setting where after the world stops moving, the worst in people come out. There's no saving the world or its people because no singular person is able to stop it all. The roleplays for this world are basically characters trying to do their best in a bad situation. For this world, I'm only interested in bittersweet or bad endings. Below are some ideas I tossed up randomly. Please feel free to add your own, revise them, or follow them to a "T"! Note that MC stands for my character and YC for your character:
- MC/YC are the sole survivors of an eldritch hunting group. This event has turned them away from eldritch hunting as a living completely. Each copes with the death of their teammates in different ways. One character is now determined more than ever to find a way out of Kadath. The other wants to be the change the world needs. They clash in beliefs, but end up stuck together because they're the only ones they trust their backs to. But is that a mistake?
- A former member of Ante knows too much and that alone is a crime in Ante. They get framed and sent to DON where they meet one of its inhabitants, a former criminal. The Ante character has to learn how to survive in the wilds -- fast -- if they ever wish to get revenge. The two of them both desire to leave DON for their reasons and they venture into the Deep in search of Moonstone, the only way they can buy their way up North.
- Two mercenaries accept a commission. They are to kill a criminal who ransacked and murdered in a distant village. They complete the job, only to find out that they've been duped into doing someone's dirty work and have assassinated a politician. Now, they have to deal with the consequences of their actions and figure out their next steps.
Two Post orphans get picked off the streets to be part of a renowned family. Elated at the opportunity to ditch the slums, they agree. However, they quickly realize that the family took them in to use them in their illegal businesses. One of them manages to escape but ends up leaving the second behind. They reunite years later.- An Ante noble, YC, is attacked by bandits along rural paths. Overwhelmed by the sheer number of bandits, the escorting party and attendants are killed, leaving only the noble and one of the mercenaries alive. They escape and lay low before trying to travel up North again.
- I'd love for this to be a romance plot
- Some more romance plots:
- This is a very specific arranged marriage plot that requires a lot of lore and plotting. MC (male) has been born, bred, and groomed to be the heir of a prestigious family in Ante. He has struggled to meet his father's expectations his entire life and now, MC fails yet again when he receives news about how he's to be married to someone he's never met, YC. Whether YC has been brought in to connect the two families or whatever reason, YC/MC struggle with each other. They have no affection for each other until much later due to YC struggling to come to terms with the family secret/a betrayal of autonomy (a contract with her life at stake is forced onto her) and MC can't see YC as anything more than an extension of his father's decisions. It is incredibly important that before lovers, they are friends
