Long ago, all the types of fae were at peace. Then, a vampire coven struck. They stole the legendary book, held secret, and secrets, to all but the High Guild, Salicaceae. Salicaceae is an ancient book, and all the High Guild and Royals have access to it. The Salicaceae is where you can see the future, present, and past. It also holds every spell ever cast, and every power and possibility that a young fae can have. Because of its extreme powers, the book is under lock and key every day, all day. But the day it was stolen, there was inside help.
The King and the High Guild were furious and killed all the Guards. Thenforth, anyone who wanted to be a Guard had to be tested.
Soon, the Queen gave birth to twins, exactly identical. Both girls and they were the most beautiful children to ever be born. They were the next targets.
They grew up under strict rules, one following the rules, and the other not. Their parents died, and the firstborn took the throne. The twins learned about the vampires and studied them. They both wanted to go to war to save the book, but meanwhile, the vampires wanted the twins to die.
The vampires who stole the book only stole it because they were pulling a prank. The prank went too far, and the coven leaders destroyed the younger vampires. They kept the book and wanted to keep it. But then, the King and Queen had twin daughters. They were mesmerized. The vampires knew that they would be unkillable if they drank the blood of the twins, so it was their goal to kill them.
The only thing is: Aspen is in love with a lead vampire, and so is Ezmerelda.
