It's hard to grind like a normal pack and still make a good profit from explore because I have to constantly spend mush to make my explore wolves better at exploring. On top of that, I have the added risk that I'm forced to retire any wolf who gets gravely injured in battle and I'm on a hot spring timeout for 2 weeks so I'm in a tough spot

Characters created 2017-2018 start here

Sahar Isra Kasabian
Immediate Bloodline➸ 3/4 Jinn x 1/4 Human
Age➸ Appears around twenty-one years of age, but Jinn's age differently than humans.
Gender➸ Female
₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪
Appearance➸
A Flickering Shadow
Sahar is beautiful like a smooth stone is beautiful: There is something elegant and serene about her, even with her bumps and blemishes. She isn't perfectly sculpted or thin. Her skin is brown, with golden undertones. Her face is rectangular and her jawline is sharp. She has full lips and cavernous dimples on each cheek when she smiles. There's a slight upturn to her button nose and she has a small, gold septum piercing.
Her thick hair has been described as her best feature, being glossy and black like a captured piece of night sky. It's wavy, but not quite curled, and it's always in distress. At the slightest hint of rain it frizzes up and it has the uncanny ability to tangle itself no matter what Sahar is doing. Despite these frustrations, Sahar likes to keep it long, though she often secures it in a knot on the top of her head to keep it out of her way.
She is a healthy weight, with a curved figure and large hips. Her normal dress consists of a patterned choli top that exposes her midriff and shalwar trousers. Despite her estrangement with her mother, she embraces her Jinn identity and is annoyed those who suggest she should change her style to better fit in with those around her. She also dislikes tight clothing to the extreme and will go to immense lengths to avoid anything even remotely resembling a corset.
The Debts That Must Be Payed
Sahar has scars, both small and large, snaking in thin, silver lines on the back of her legs and arms. These scars were not put on her by any living creature, but rather were the price of using her Jinn magic.
Personality➸
Lawful Murder
Most would not suspect Sahar to be the kind of person that kills for a living. Such dirty work doesn't seem to match up to her appearance or personality. Indeed, who would suspect such a quiet, mild woman to have the capabilities of dragging her blade across another beings throat?
In truth, Sahar takes no pleasure in her work. It is simply a task, passed down from her father, who received it from his father, who received it from his mother, and so one and so forth. Her family has always been proficient in killing quickly and painlessly.
As a young girl, Sahar was chosen over her brother to become the next Royal Executioner, due to her calm disposition and empathy for living things. She is bitter about this, as she once had dreamed of a life beyond her family's dismal work. But alas, her brother was deemed too cruel and too likely to misuse his position for evil. Eventually, Sahar hardened to the bloody tasks, as all Executioners do. She views her work as the dark, but inevitable part of upholding the law of her kingdom. Still the guilt eats at her and she has trouble reconciling with her actions. While he was alive, her father would comfort her, telling her it was better to feel too much rather than too little. But then he passed and with him, Sahar felt as if she had lost the only person in the world who truly understood her position.
Sahar enjoys people, she enjoys the sound of voices and gentle laughter. Her curse, of course, is that people normally give her a wide berth. Her identity is not a secret. People see her as some sharpened weapon, a necessary evil, and while they recognize her worth, they avoid interacting with her at all costs. This disheartens Sahar greatly. She is often depressed, but she tries her hardest to put on a smile and appear cheerful, despite her loneliness.
The Passion In Movement
Sahar dances with a fiery determination. The shells of her meek exterior fall away as soon as she's on the dance floor. Every movement to her is an art.
Abilities➸
A Curl Of Smoke
Because of her Jinn blood, Sahar has two separate forms. She can appear as herself, a very human, vulnerable creature, or she can appear as a cloud of dark, swirling smoke. This form lasts for mere minutes and is very depleting of her energy. Transforming into a cloud of smoke outdoors when wind is blowing is extremely dangerous, as Sahar could become scattered and separated, causing her to be unable to return to her true self.

Abilities Continued➸
The Wishmonger
Jinn have been known through the ages as twisted wish givers, who, according to legend, can be forced to grant three wishes to any person that can hold them captive. While a well worded wish may very well have been a dream come true, many Jinn lived up to their reputations, twisting and contorting the word's of their captor into a horrific nightmare. The age of capturing Jinn as slaves has since come to an end, but their wish granting abilities live on.
Sahar comes from the ancient line of these wish givers. Though her Jinn blood is diluted, she too has been blessed (or cursed) with the ability to grant wishes. It is not quite as glamorous or all powerful as it sounds. All wishes come with a price, a price the wish giver and the receptor both pay in full. The greater the wish, the greater the price.
Something cannot come from nothing, and for someone to gain something, they must lose something of equal value.
There are tales of folly that ever Jinn learns as child - gory, ruthless tales that warn of the consequences of granting wishes. Sahar herself has learned the awful repercussions first hand, when her own mother granted a wish so disastrous it caused the deaths of over twenty innocent people, including Sahar's father and only sibling. Since then, Sahar has halted using her magic in all except the most desperate of situations.
Sahar cannot grant wishes for herself. Ever.
The Executioner
Sahar is the Royal Executioner, a grim job that has been designated to her family for years. By order of the current ruler, she kills criminals and traitors. If need be, she will hunt down those who pose a danger to the citizens of Toutes Sortes.
Battle Is A Dance
From the time she could walk, Sahar was taught two things. From her father, how to kill. From her mother, how to dance.
Sahar is an excellent fighter, though she may not appear to be at first glance. She is not trained for wars or senseless onslaughts, but rather assassinations and mercy killings. She uses pressure points and a hooded katar dagger to wreak havoc on her opponents.
She is also a very skilled belly dancer, trained in the tradition folk style of her ancestors. She enjoys it as a hobby can often be seen pestering musicians in the palace to play for her so she can practice. The dance consists of continuous, fluid arm, leg and torso movements.
Weaknesses (try to have a few)➸
The Shapeless Fear
Sahar is burdened with guilt, coming in waves the crash over her head and push her beneath the surface endlessly. She has taken countless lives in the name of Justice, but at times, she feels like a murderer.
Sahar's guilt can be incapacitating at times. She will lock herself in her room and refuse to eat or sleep. The late Queen Amelia, whose Sahar worked for, alone would be able to lure her out. Now that Amelia is gone, Sahar once again feels the loss of a mother figure in her life.
The Sins Of A Mother
There is one person in the world that Sahar despises more than anyone else: Her mother. There was a time when Sahar was awed by the woman's abilities as a full-blooded Jinn. Nothing seemed impossible for her.
But then, tragedy struck. Her mother believed herself to be more powerful than she really was. She tried to a grant a wish that no Jinni should ever even think about. And she payed for it. A small village was struck down. People say their screams could be heard for miles. Sahar's father and brother both also lost their lives. Sahar had the fortune of being away at the time of the incident, but she returned to her home to find it completely gone. Her mother had vanished, and whether she is dead or not, Sahar does not care. Mere mention of her mother can set Sahar into a mood. It's a topic best avoided if you want to say on her good side.
Creature Of Lamps And Chains
Enslaving a Jinn may be forbidden in Toutes Sortes, but it can still happen. Powerful sorcerer's with the rare ability to Jinn Charm can bind a Jinn's will to themselves. When this happens, the Jinn can only be released if their captor is killed or if all three of their captor's wishes are fulfilled. While Sahar is not completely Jinn, and thus is less susceptible to Jinn Charming, a powerful spell could still take away her freedom. When a Jinn is enslaved, they have no choice as to what wishes they give or what wishes they don't. They are compelled to obey, no matter what. If their captor forces them to grant something too large or powerful, the Jinn will die a painful, excruciating death and chances are, so will many others.Jinn, however, still have the ability to twist wishes whether they are enslaved or no. Children are instructed on how to change and contort the meaning of words and adults will sometimes practice in in non-harmful ways on each other.
Magic's Price
All magic comes with a price and all wishes must be paid for in full.
For small wishes, such as changing an emotion or granting little comforts, the price is a small bolt of pain: Thin cuts will appear on a Jinn's body as soon as these wishes are fulfilled. As wishes grow bigger, however. so do these wounds. A large wish can cause the Jinn to perish in a mess of blood and screams. A wish of immense proportions, like bringing someone back from the dead, can spread the pain to the person who wished it and other innocents, in addition to killing the Jinn.

Kage Blaxton

<div align="center">Immediate Bloodline➸ Witch x Human<div align="center">Age➸ 23<div align="center">Gender➸ Male<div align="center">Appearance ➸<div align="center">
<div align="center">Witches Come In Many Forms<div align="center">
<div align="center">Kage is tall and thin, with a scarecrow like figure. He has sharp cheekbones, unnaturally pale skin and tousled black hair that falls a little past his ears. The nostrils of his pointy nose flare when he's angry, and his thick eyebrows are always drawn together in a concentrated frown above his silver-gold eyes. There's something otherworldly about him, especially in his gaze. He always looks as if he's peering into a world that doesn't exist, like his eyes are searching another plane of existence.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Personality ➸<div align="center">
<div align="center">Chaos and Calculation<div align="center">
<div align="center">Kage is a bright, but ill-tempered young man with a thirst for knowledge and a hatred of trivial conversations. He is known as a prodigy in the medicinal arts and despite some reservations because of his bloodline, he has risen to be one of the most famed, up and coming medical physicians in the kingdom. He enjoys spending long hours in his study, where he locks himself away from the rest of the world. In that large, but cluttered room he dissects things, studies anatomy, mixes herbs with other substances to try and create cures, and tries to gauge human response to all sorts of plants and poisons, often times using himself as a test subject. Besides his large cache of herbs, there are also a wide range of more magical substances stashed away, with Kage having inherited an affinity for potion making and charm casting from his father.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Kage dislikes people. His is bluntness is incurable and he's proved himself to be rather socially awkward, sharing his opinions and observations brashly at the most inconvenient of moments. He is honest to a fault and severely lacking in bedside manners, having the sensitively of a raging bull. No matter how uncouth, he is unafraid to inform his patients of what they are doing wrong about their health and how they should fix it. He likes cats and crows, though admits he finds this very cliche of him. Even so, he keeps a pet tabby cat named Alfred and an angry, squawking bird named Petunia with him at all times. These animals may or may not be more than meets the eye. Who knows?<div align="center">
<div align="center">Abilities➸<div align="center">
<div align="center">Genius With A Green Thumb<div align="center">
<div align="center">Kage is, of course, nothing short of a prodigy. He's whip smart and dedicated to his work, having been working with medicine and patients since he was a boy. He grows herbs and can identify a multitude plants and remember their uses. In his spare time, he enjoys making all sorts of concoctions, some for healing purposes and others for more...sinister reasons. Indeed, while Kage can and does heal patients in the palace of their ailments, he's always very proficient in poison brewing. Over the years, he's concocted several mixtures of his own invention and then created their antidotes, testing them on himself with reckless abandon.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Double, Double, Toil and Trouble<div align="center">
<div align="center">Kage is the descendant of a witch, and because of it, there are magic abilities he has inherited. He's, of course, an excellent potion brewer and charm crafter, well known as one of the palace's supplier's for 'all your magical enhancement needs'. There are two familiars he keeps with him, a cat and a crow. Cliche, he knows, but don't mention it to him.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Weaknesses➸<div align="center">
<div align="center">No spells, please<div align="center">
<div align="center">One of Kage's biggest embarrassments is his inability to cast spells on people. They always backfire on him miserably and he refrains from using any and all magic directly on humans. If you don't want to accidentally be turned into a toad (or a newt, even if you might get better), it's best not to ask him. If you want to drink his potions or carry his charms, fine. Just no spells, please.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Kindness Is A Virtue I Lack<div align="center">
<div align="center">Kage is not nice or caring. He has no close relations besides a tenuous connection with Sahar, as he often bothers her to let him look over the corpses of the criminals she eliminates. People find him rude and uncomfortable to be around. He has a habit of asking inappropriate questions, wittingly or unwittingly and digging into peoples medical histories instead of, say, discussing the weather. Small talk is a plague on his existence and he just wont do it. If you don't have anything useful to say to him its better not to speak to him at all.<div align="center">

<div style="text-align: center;">

Merin (Rin) Ellis

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Age: 16 1/2<div style="text-align: center;">Gender: Female<div style="text-align: center;">Sexuality: Bisexual<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Appearance before:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Blooming<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Merin was a bit overweight, with those awkward chubby cheeks and gangly limbs that all children eventually grow out of. Her family and friends called her a late bloomer - but their words didn't bother Merin much. A smile was a permanent fixture on her face. Her brown skin glowed. Her pretty, luscious black hair was always braided into perfect glossy rows. Her lips were painted the bright shades of her older sister's stolen lipstick more often than not and she liked to doodle henna on her hands with different colored sharpies. There was always a very mischievous glint in her large honey-brown eyes. From her father she obtained the nickname Puck, after the devilish fairy from the Shakespeare classic.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Appearance now:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Wilting<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Merin is drawn. Her skin has lost its childhood luster and her eyes have an eerie, unfocused look to them. She is thin, having grown into her body and now stands taller and much more proportional than her past self. Her curves are small and delicate. The black hair that adorns her head is kept loose and long, falling behind her shoulder blades. She has a thin, silver scar on the right side of her face starting at her eyebrow, traveling straight down past her eye and then curving inwards across her cheek bone until it touches the side of her nose. A few other tiny scars dot her forehead and behind her ear.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Personality before:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Dandelions and Roses<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Everyone who met Merin described her as chipper and energetic. She liked to tell stories and dance. Her room was filled to the brim with old drawings and paint-by-numbers masterpieces. She lived for crafts, made mock info-commercials with her old video camera and bugged her older sister insistently. With her friends she was always kind and caring, though a bit bossy at times. She liked to be in charge, didn't like to follow other's commands and often got in trouble with the adults in her life for talking back. Whenever she was hurt or sad or scared, she managed to bounce back quickly. However, she always had the lingering insecurity that her friends and family would leave her. She had night terrors often enough to have her taking anti-anxiety medication.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Personality now:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Left Behind<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Merin feels out of place, frozen in time since the night of the car crash and unable to let go of past hurts. While everyone around her, including her mother, has moved on with their lives, Merin's mind goes back again and again to that terrible sound of squealing wheels, crunching glass and her sister's guttural scream. She sleeps too much, spends most of her spare time reading her father's Shakespeare volumes or watching the movies from her sister's collection. She's a decent student, average in everything, and she avoids large crowds.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Searching For An Unclouded Sky<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Merin is not quiet, but she's not loud. She has opinions that she isn't afraid to share, but when it comes to social conversation and building relationships, she declines to participate in any and all verbal discussion. She still doodles on herself, she picks fights with her mother and has grown closer to her stepmother, Ruth, though she still refuses to acknowledge her as a parent. With dismal melancholy, she flutters through her days aimlessly, and she herself has admitted that she's searching for something.<div style="text-align: center;">But she doesn't know what.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Relations:<div style="text-align: center;">Merin lives with her mother, Salma, and stepmother, Ruth, both of whom she has a good relationship with.<div style="text-align: center;">She has two Beta fish named Oberon and Titania.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Backstory:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Swimming Down<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Merin was born into a middle class family that lived in a small, but good suburban neighborhood. She had a very care-free childhood, running off on fun adventures with her close knit group of friends, watching black and white movies with her aspiring film director older sister, Sarah, and dragging her mother, Salma, and father, Paul, to the park so she could play on the swings. Everything was as it should be for a very long time.<div style="text-align: center;">But then, tragedy struck.<div style="text-align: center;">Her family was driving on a normal, moonlit night, when they swerved off the road, down a steep incline, and into the forest below. The car flipped twice before resting against the trunk of a tree. Paul perished upon impact and Sarah died a few hours later in the hospital during surgery.<div style="text-align: center;">Merin's face had been cut up by the glass. Both of her arms were broken, as well as her ankle and she'd lost a lot of blood.<div style="text-align: center;">Her mother came out miraculously unscathed, with only a few cuts on her left arm and a glaring bruise from her seat belt.<div style="text-align: center;">Merin will never talk about what happened that night to cause the crash, but clearly, she will never be the same.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Abandoned Unfinished<div style="text-align: center;">Merin's mother moved them a month after the accident, forcing Merin to leave her friends and childhood home behind, but she didn't protest the decision. They got an apartment in the city, her mother started working at an insurance company, where she met Ruth. Two years later, Ruth and her mother started dating, and five months into the relationship they were married. Merin, for the most part, kept to herself in the city. She dated one boy but they parted as friends after deciding the time wasn't right. She still keeps in touch with him.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Slowly Losing Yourself<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">After living away for many years, Ruth got a promotion and ended up getting a job in Merin's home town, so the small family moved back into a fixer-upper apartment with peeling paint and dingy carpet floors.<div style="text-align: center;">Merin feels odd and disconnected from the place she once called home. It's not that she dislikes the past, but she just doesn't live there anymore.<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">

Crown Princess Maven Elenwe Ross of Salveria

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Age: 20<div style="text-align: center;">Gender: Female<div style="text-align: center;">Sexuality: Straight<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Appearance:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Daughter of Stone and Jewels<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Maven is lissom and willowy, with golden brown skin and near black eyes sheltered by thick lashes. Her jaw and cheekbones are both well defined. Her nose is slightly turned up. There's a red undertone to her otherwise black hair, which is wild with unruly ringlets and always pinned up in some kind of restraint. Her neck is long, her shoulders are broad, and she can often be found cocking her head in a bird-like fashion off to one side - especially when she is thinking. She has a look of a statue about her, rough and stoic, with an unreadable gaze and a hint of sorrow in her eyes.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Personality:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">The Crown Must Not Fall<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Maven is dutiful and intelligent, with a mind made for logical analysis and a heart that's bound to her throne. In her room, she keeps hundreds of maps - one for nearly every known location in the world - and she has a keen interest in cartography. She has very few friends and any casual social interactions she has takes place with the palace maids in the morning while they light the fire places. Above everything else, she attempts to assume the looks of a promising future ruler, attending classes, court sessions, rulings and executions with the intent to learn how to govern a nation. However, within the confines of her quarters, she often breaks down, the fear of failure and the insecurities piling on top of her mercilessly. But after a few hours of this, she wipes her own tears, takes a deep breath and tilts her head up high before stepping out of her room and back into the chaotic world of the palace. The crown must not fall. She is determined not be remembered in history as the weak link in her families long, proud history.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Role: Salverian Heir<div style="text-align: center;">Kingdom: Salveria<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Backstory:<div style="text-align: center;">I would like to save the complexities of her long backstory for the roleplay and give the bare minimum that would general knowledge to the people in her kingdom.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Princess Maven Elenwe Ross was born third in line for the throne, the youngest of all her half-siblings and by far the most reclusive. The people rarely saw her, except on rare outings with her mother, the second wife of the king.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Her eldest half-brother Raphael was the Crown Prince, beloved by all but considered too kind-hearted by many in the Royal Courts. His twin sister Princess Fiona, who was second in line for the throne and his junior by only a few minutes, contested Raphael's right to the throne. She said he was too soft to take on such a position and that she, an avid tactician and proved warrior, would be much more suited for the role. The noble houses were split on who to back. On the day that Raphael and Fiona were supposed to meet to discuss a peaceful solution to the conflict, Raphael was found murdered in his chambers. Fiona declared her innocence immediately, claiming she had nothing to do with the knife found in his back. However, the evidence pointed in her direction and despite her cries of innocence all the way to the gallows, Fiona was executed.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">From there, Maven was the last descendant of the aging King, born of the second Queen Merewen, after Queen Hilde had passed away. She was ten years old when given the title of Crown Princess. From that day onward, her previous life of tranquility was transformed into something chaotic and terrifying.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">She is, to this day, determined to be the kind of ruler her older brother and sister both would be proud of. She misses them both dearly and refuses to comment on their deaths. Her relationship with her father is icy, and rumors have spread that she believes him to be, in part, responsible for the incident that took place between her two half-siblings.<div style="text-align: center;">

Kaia Makamae Keli'i

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Zodiac Sign: Cancer the Crab<div style="text-align: center;">Age: 17<div style="text-align: center;">Sexuality: Bisexual<div style="text-align: center;">Gender: Female<div style="text-align: center;">Tattoo: <div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">A moon, being held in a crab's claws, on the nape of her neck.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Personality:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Kaia Keli'i is turbulent, like the uneasy waves of the sea before a storm. While there is kindness in her deep, brown eyes, there is also unease and turmoil. A well nurtured Cancer like she might have turned out differently - warm and soft and glowing - but Kaia has spent too much time bearing witness to the cycle of trust and and betrayal. No matter who you are or how you present yourself to her, the girl is slow to trust, prickly and standoffish at first. Her intuition is second to none, and she can easily pick out if someone wants to harm her or not. This, as it turns out, has not increased her ability to trust but decreased it drastically, as almost everyone around her from her early childhood had some sort of ulterior motive.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">While relationships are slow to form with her, once you gain her affections she becomes loyal to a fault. Even if she is nearly drowned by those she loves again and again, she will keep coming back to them. The girl is unable to see that people change for the worst sometimes and has difficulty letting people out of her life. Her friend's pain is her pain. Their joy is her happiness. Their anger fuels the tempest inside her.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Her emotions are unpredictable. They wax and wane with the moon, and a passionate maelstrom of fury can suddenly still into a docile ripple in a matter of hours. She is strong willed and not easily deterred from what she wants, yet at the same time, she is extremely sensitive and willing to draw back into her shell at the slightest offense. She doesn't forget the people that have wronged her; while she is quick to forgive those whom she has come to care for, it is hard for her to understand their reasons for hurting her.. In arguments and verbal warfare, she is the last person to deliver petty, harmful insults and she is often the first person to burst into tears. It is difficult for her not to take things people say personally.<div style="text-align: center;">Kaia is also very sympathetic to those in need. Her ability to sense the emotions of others around her assists her almost maternal desire to care for those who are hurting or ill. Just because she comforts someone or ties a bandage around their arm doesn't not mean she trusts them. However, seeing people suffer does humanize them in her eyes, and helps her relate to them on a more personal level.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Appearance:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Kaia is small in stature and well built, with a large chest, a broad back and shoulders, a healthy waist and large hips. She is not skinny, nor is she overweight. Her face is slightly rounded, framed by luscious black hair that is curled in spirals. There is a certain depth to her wide, brown eyes and it makes her look older than she is.Her skin is freckled from long days spent in the sun and her right leg has a long, jagged scar from a fall she took as a child on Kaneapua Rock . There are stretch marks on her thighs and stomach. A round birthmark sits behind her left ear.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">History:<div style="text-align: center;"><div align="center" style="text-align: -webkit-center;"><span style="text-align: left;">Experiencing technical difficulties adding back story >.<<div align="center" style="text-align: -webkit-center;"><div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;"> Other:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Familiar Name: Hokulani<div style="text-align: center;">Appearance:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Hokulani is a ghost crab, and though she appears white on most occasions, she has the ability to gradually change her pigmentation to match her environment. She is tiny, spanning only around 7 cm wide and her legs, while stubby looking are extremely fast. She can scuttle like lightning, albeit not always in the right direction, but her speed is unmatched by any other species of crab.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;"> While she may not be the fastest of the Zodiac familiars, she has the easiest time escaping into tiny crevices and cracks to get out of harms way. Her club like eyes are extremely acute, and with them, but her vision spans three hundred and sixty degrees around her. She may not be psychic, but she sees all, and is a force to be reckoned with on any occasion. Her claws are no laughing matter, and while they don't do much damage, once she latches onto you it is extremely hard to get her off. And she's not easy to dodge. At her best, she can snatch insects out of thin air for a tasty snack.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Personality:<div style="text-align: center;">Hokulani is perceptive and feisty.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Abilities:<div style="text-align: center;">- Is extremely fast<div style="text-align: center;">- Can harden shell briefly to prevent being crushed or injured<div style="text-align: center;">- Can summon large waves under the moon<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Limitations:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">- Very small<div style="text-align: center;">- Is weakened by the sun<div style="text-align: center;">- Easily defeated if not near water<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Story of how your character first met his/her familiar:<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">A young Kaia Kei'li was walking along the shores of Lana'i at sunset, collecting shells, when she saw a crab struggling in the current, having been flipped upside down. She went over to assist the crab, and as she did so, the crab spoke to her.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">" Hoaloha, " the crab said. Kaia was very startled. She dropped her shells and ran home to where she and her grandmother lived. Upon arrival, she breathlessly told the old woman what had happened - and was scolded for having such a wild imagination. Kaia stubbornly defended herself, and the next day, she returned to the beach in search of the crab. To her joy, she found it.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">"Hoaloha," she replied back to the crab. The two have been friends ever since.

<div style="text-align: center;">

Nimue Devereaux

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Age - Seventeen<div style="text-align: center;">Gender - Female<div style="text-align: center;">Species - Witch<div style="text-align: center;">☾<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Familiar?<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Nimue owns a temperamental Red Spitting Cobra named Hapi, who does not live up to his name. He is reddish brown, with small scales and black, beady eyes. Being a Spitting Cobra snake, Hapi must be handled with extreme care. His venom is rarely fatal, but can cause permanent blindness if it comes in contact with the eyes. Nimue was trained on how to enchant and sooth him from a young age, which enables her to handle Hapi safely. Normally, he stays curled around her arm, once in a while peaking his head out from beneath her sleeves.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Abilities -<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">The Devereaux family, while not as magically inclined as the other seven, are extremely adept in brewing potions and poisons. While some accuse them of not being true witches because their lack of any real control over the element of magic, Devereauxs are extremely competent, resourceful and skilled. Basic charms, hexes, and spells are not beyond their abilities, but Devereauxs have no magical ability to wield and instead use the more tangible magical resources around them to make up for it. Because of this, many say that the Devereauxs main family element is earth, though some Devereauxs are also born with an affinity to liquids.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Nimue herself isn't sure of her elemental ability yet. While she feels a pull to the bubbling liquids in the cauldron, she also feels in tune with nature, effectively utilizing and harvesting plants, animals and other natural objects for magical use. What she is sure about, though, is the Devereaux blood flowing through her veins. Brewing and memorizing things are second nature to her. She's always coming up with new recipes and categorizing plants for her family's multi-generational journals - which are an accumulation of all Devereaux knowledge, passed from one person to the next. The girl knows her human anatomy up and down - what can stop a heart and what can cure a headache, how to brew a luck potion and how to paralyze a grown man. This knowledge, course, is useful, but cannot be applied unless Nimue has all the ingredients to craft the potion or poison, and many of the dangerous and potent ones are made up of extremely rare materials she doesn't have access to.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Strengths -<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Nimue is extremely intelligent and focused on her craft. She is also immune to a variety of poisons.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Weaknesses -<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Nimue has a difficult time actually wielding magic. Her family has no ties to any specific type, whether it be conjuration or divination, and she's clumsy and unskilled with a wand. In fights, she's nearly defenseless, though she has her Cobra familiar, Hapi, for a measure of protection and can toss poisons that erode the skin/cause ailments at her enemies, otherwise she's out of luck, especially if they're far away. She is best paired with a powerful, offensive magic wielding student that she can assist with her unique expertise. Otherwise, it's better she be left in the labs, analyzing and recording and creating.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Nimue is also considered a social outcast. Her family, the Devereauxs, have had difficulties with the other seven throughout the years, causing a stigma to hang in the air around her. The Devereauxs are also dying out. There are very few left, and Nimue herself is the only one to be born in the last twenty years.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Personality -<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Nimue is an odd soul. While she does tend to be reclusive by default, with the Devereaux family being a pariah among the magic families, Nimue doesn't exactly dislike people, either. She isn't shy, just well trained by the elders of her family to lay low, stay out of trouble, and don't make friends with people you can't trust - which means don't make friends with anybody. Her family's paranoid nature has somewhat rubbed off onto Nimue as well and her world view is tainted so that she believes everyone harbors some sort of ulterior motive when dealing with her. As the youngest and only Devereaux born in over twenty years, Nimue is focused on self-preservation in order to ensure her family's survival.<div style="text-align: center;">She's curt and extremely patient, sitting in the brewing labs for hours on end, testing out the affects of her potions and poisons while scouring through the old Devereaux family journals which contain nearly every plant and ingredient in the world, plus their uses. Nimue's favorite concoctions are snake venum poisons and their antidotes, applied to the skin or injected into the blood stream for the best affects. She will often swab Hapi for his venom to experiment with.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Appearance -<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Nimue is a witch born into a dying family, and you can see it in her eyes. While she looks her age in most ways - a youthful face, a curved figure, an scalding glare - there are aspects of her that seem old and worn down. She has pools of shadow gathered in crescents beneath her hazel eyes and a far off, distant stare. There is disconnected feel to her, as if she's not always grounded or there in the moment with everybody else. Her long, dark brown hair is kept tied neatly back at all times and is often braided with charms or beads that act as wards against gods know what. There are chemical burns and small scars up and down her angled wrists, petite hands, and spindly fingers.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">Other - Sorry the writing's a bit rough. I'll clean it up in the morning.<div style="text-align: center;">☾

<div align="center">⊱ E l i x i r⊰
<div align="center">Name: Lyra Mason<div align="center">Age: 17<div align="center">Gender: Female<div align="center">Sexuality: Bisexual<div align="center">Side: Wavering Transcendent?<div align="center">Power: Healing<div align="center">
<div align="center">⊱ ━━━━.⋅ ⋅.━━━━ ⊰<div align="center">
<div align="center">Appearance: Lyra looks like spring, on the outside. Her figure is soft, dipping and curving in all the right places. She has a light brown complexion created from a plethora of different backgrounds - she truly is a mixture of many races. She's not tall, but not short, not skinny, but not overweight, managing to stay in limbo between one extreme or the other. Her wavy black hair tumbles passed her shoulders, as glossy as raven feathers, and her eyebrows are the same dark color. Her face is round, though not as round as her doey, moss green eyes, framed by eyelashes that look as if they could swirl up storms with every blink. Her nose and cheeks are splashed with freckles that stand out like a dusting of starlight at dusk.<div align="center">
<div align="center">A scar slices through her lips, and makes its way under her chin, before tapering to an end beneath her left ear. Three round, quarter sized burns mark the left side of her neck and shoulder. Her thighs and hips have stretch marks like lightning bolts tracing up and down them, and she has several claw like scars striping the backs of her legs, along with a circular blemish that looks suspiciously like a brand. Her bottom lip is often bloody - she bites on it when she is nervous, and tiny crescent wounds are commonplace on her palms, from her habit of clenching her fist a little too hard when she is upset.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Personality: Lyra is winter on the inside, with bare branches for bones and evergreen needles in her eyes. Her voice is soft, like a silent snowfall, but as cold as a frozen lake and fairly void of emotion. There is a hollowness to her laughter, and her eyes glint with warning when someone stands too close to her - she likes her space. There is something restless about her - the way she notes all the windows and exits in a room, the way her feet shift back in forth when she's forced to stand in one place, the way her fingers ceaselessly drum against any surface to prevent them from rubbing old scars. She's not quiet or shy, but rather, direct. She says what she needs and nothing more - and she's not ashamed of her opinions or her upbringing. There was a time when she was different, long ago, but little girl dreams morph and molt, shedding wistful skin to reveal scales beneath, as hard and sharp as iron.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Strangers make her uncomfortable, but around friends, Lyra visibly relaxes. She's a bit more easy, a bit more willing to show her softer side. She likes younger children, and can be mothering in a protective way. She's not the type to lick other's wounds, though, she's the type to take action and deliver swift retribution. If someone hurts a person she feels responsible for, she becomes extremely aggressive. Her days of being a big sister may be over, but she herself hasn't quite come to grips with that fact yet.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Loyalty is a concept she struggles with. To an individual who puts in effort to gain her trust, she will be dependable to the death - but to a group, her loyalty wavers. She's not sure what or who she's fighting for anymore. The city let the people who murdered her brother walk without spending one day in prison. The same city she endured a thousand different types of pain to protect. If they don't appreciate her, don't protect the ones she loves, or at least avenge them, then what's the point? If their way is justice, then what way is evil? She turns these thoughts around her head, like a hard candy she can't quite break with her teeth. <div align="center">
<div align="center">⊱ ━━━━.⋅ ⋅.━━━━ ⊰<div align="center">Strengths: Flesh and Bone - Lyra has an extremely high tolerance for pain. She's had years of exploring her body's limits, and by now, she's able to take on a lot.<div align="center">
<div align="center">A bark and a bite - When Lyra is involved in a fight, she can hold her own. Physically and Verbally. Her rough upbringing taught her to survive.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Vocally talented, in more than one way - Lyra likes to sing. By herself. When no ones watching. She also has an uncanny ability to come up with very creative insults.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Weaknesses: No one's invincible - Using her powers drains Lyra's energy considerably, and that's not weighing in the pain. The kind of wounds she heals aren't mere paper cuts, and no amount of conditioning can help one prepare for the agony of a bullet to the leg or a punctured lung. Over the years, she's developed a high tolerance for pain, but no one's tolerance can be 'that' high.<div align="center">
<div align="center">The weight of human lives - Lyra has the power to bring people from the brink of death, but she's failed to save those closest to her. And now, the city is turning on her. Lyra's guilt is immeasurable, and the anger? A hot geyser, bubbling beneath her skin.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Touchy subjects - There are things that you don't mention around Lyra.<div align="center">
<div align="center"> Personal things. Like her past, or her bad habits, or her adopted younger brother who recently passed away. And do not inquire about the scars. Ever.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Grudges - Forgiving isn't a word in Lyra's vocabulary. She's 'trying' to get better at it, but not really. She just says she is to get people off her back.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Relationships: (pm me to be added to the list)<div align="center">
<div align="center">I'll always protect you - Lyra's little brother, Sammy, was her entire life. She would have done anything to protect him. But when he needed her most, she wasn't there. And now she has the rest of her life to wonder, would he have survived, if she had come home just a little earlier that night?<div align="center">
<div align="center">What are dreams? - Starstorm and Lyra's relationship was complicated, to say the least. Her skepticism about him morphed into a sort of admiration. But he too disappeared from her life. Another failure of hers, perhaps? Deep down inside, she seems to think so.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Little Miss Never Around - Lyra lived with her biological mother until she was ten, when social services obtained custody of her. They rarely talk.<div align="center">
<div align="center">Crush: Eh, maybe? PM me, I'm open to ideas :)<div align="center">
<div align="center">Other: Starstorm the traitor

(I'm using parts of this profile for many different characters because I'm lazy.)

Phaedra has the looks of one war hardened and war weary, the glimmers of her youth gone from her loam-brown eyes, supplanted with the wide, hollow vacancy of one who has witnessed death over and over again in an unceasing circle.

Her hair is a lighter shade of brown, a silver blue brown, almost iridescent, as if staring at the bottom silt of a pond through the water. Its tangled mess was once plaited into soldier's braids, but is now let loose and cut choppily at her shoulders. The feathery softness of it is gone, has been gone, for a long while. Her lips are sliced down the middle by a very deliberate scar, which stops halfway down her chin and intersects with another, oxbow shaped mark on the end of her chin that curves upwards with the shape of her face. Her body has suffered from imprisonment - she's as thin as a stem, and the golden brown hues of her skin have lost the warm vibrancy it once had.

Her long neck has a ring of blotchy marks around it that dip, down to touch the ridges of her collarbone - scars formed by bruises that never quite healed, as if the fingerprints of the enemy that tried to choke the life out of her are permanently seared onto her skin. There is an inward curl to her shoulders, and she shows no signs of the rigid posture she was forced to carry day in and day out during her five years as a soldier. Ribs poke out from underneath her skin, giving her a sharp, undernourished appearance. Her hands, once smooth and painted with designs, are now calloused and hard from wielding a sword she never wanted. Her arms fare no better, littered with silver and pink lines from when the thorn-sharp side of a blade would slice through her skin.
