I'm glad! It's a really quick process in my experience - literally took under 5 mins for me as my nurse was hella experienced haha. Your nurse/doctor will probably explain what they're going to do first, I'd assume!

My sister used to be so scared of needles she had to be restrained by my mom and a few other nurses to get her still enough to give her vaccines

It helps a lot! My mom tries to help but isn't good at explaining things to me (My sisters understand perfectly, I guess I learn differently?)

I just needed more answers I guess lol

I once had an elderly pt that was so terrified of the needle itself that I agreed to prick myself with a separate sterilized needle & toss it out to convince her to have blood drawn XD

They'll likely ask you to repeatedly open+close your hand to get the blood pumping, and then hold your hand in a fist, or something similar. As for where they draw blood, it depends but for me it was just below the inside of my elbow.

After, you'll probably have to hold a piece of gauze or tissue over the site as they can bleed for a lil bit!

That was my experience anyway - I can't imagine it'll be too dissimilar though.

I hope that helps some! :0
It'll be just fine, I'm sure.

This is my first time drawing digitally. I just used a free drawing app on my old kindle and drew with my fingers.
I was attempting to make a cute picture of my oc Mack, a wolf-mako shark thingamajig.
Any thoughts on what I did good vs bad, constructive criticism, etc. would be very welcome.

I think it's a very bold choice going for a lineless piece as your first digital drawing.

Overall it looks wonderful, though it is difficult to tell what the background is. I would suggest trying to define details like this a little more, but I'm not much of a background artist. As for the character itself, it's absolutely adorable! I don't really have any notes for the character. <3

^^ I agree. I think starting with some defined lineart would be the way to go. Trying to make things stand out and be obvious as to what it is can be very hard with lineless art. If you were to start with lineart, you could practice shapes and poses, moving onto colour then lineless it within your grasp!

Oh sorry, to add one as well.
I'm not sure what program you're using or what device. I find Procreate a really good option - my favourite actually. I used to use Medibang though and I think there is a free version, I really enjoyed this program when I first started out. Things like photoshop, clip studio paint etc are overwhelming sometimes
