hello! soo, i was thinking for setting LA or NYC would fit the most. but our characters would probably be spending quite a lot of time in the countryside if they're on the run lol, so it doesn't matter too much, i think |

Maybe a bit of both? Mostly set in the countryside but things like flashback scenes and such (if we decide to include them) would be set in NYC/LA |

yeah, sounds good! flashbacks would be an interesting addition, though they'll probably return to the city eventually for various reasons (and drama lol). So, maybe NYC? So we could incorporate the mafia/maybe the suspect has some connections to them. |

No idea honestly. Perhaps we could start around the time the suspect and the detective meet, so when the suspect is apprehended, and then jump forward to them being on the run? Probably the detective got too close to the truth, so that's why they were framed. |

I like that idea actually. Perhaps if the suspect had mafia connections, that's who framed the detective. What sorts of tropes do you think would fit? (Enemies to lovers etc). I feel like a plot like this could go either way, with romance or without |

Romance would be nice, but I think it would be veeeery slow-burn, lol. So kinda like enemies to reluctant allies to friends to lovers. By the way, we should probably do a quick character sheet of the victim as well, since the plot more or less revolves around their murder. |

Okay, so maybe a popular actor/actress idolized and put on a pedestal by everyone, but in reality they were an asshole/a bad person in general and got murdered because of their connections or maybe because of something else? Whaddya think? |
