Aight, so since imma post first, It'll start with the prison break out and whatnot. I figured I'd have your character get snatched in like, the "royal courtyard" while His and Her Majesty's are in a meeting. - He'll basically be taken in an area thats high stakes. Meaning there will be witnesses of his kidnapping. And it'd have to be high stakes anyways because your dude is a valued Imperial Knight.

True, true. That'd work- perhaps His and Her Majesty are in a meeting with some important person, and he's in the courtyard waiting for them to come out. I think there'd be around a good 10 people there, seeing as it's broad daylight in a royal courtyard. Say some normal knights, perhaps another couple Imperial Knights, pages/stabeboys/grooms/servants etc and then.. I dunno, maybe some other guards. . A courtyard would have to be somewhat open, right? What I'm thinking is, the main entrance to the building- castle, or whatever- opens into a cobbled 'street' of sorts, with guards on either side. Where visitors enter and all (the servants would have a different entrance, obviously), and that opens up into the courtyard, with a barrier of sorts near that of course. There'd be some kind of stable also? Maybe? I have a vague idea of medieval castles lmao. . So maybe Zeke enters through the servant entrance, makes his way to the courtyard, snatches whoever looks vaguely important (in this case, my dude), and gets out through the main gate. I'll leave the specifics up to you, but I feel like this might work?

Ugh, writer's block is hitting just as I'm typing up Malachi's sheet >.>

Hah, thanks for doing the hard work for me. pff, yes. This is much more brilliant than what I was initially thinking. Speaking of a stable, I could totally imagine Zeke taking a horse with them. Just to be sour, he'd pick like, the prize winner too. - Also, writers block is np. I've had it for A WHILE. You don't have to type up like 10 paragraphs of appearance either like I did. I was aiming for only three but got carried away. ;-;

Lmao, no problem. I enjoy doing this nitpicky plot stuff. Oh, totally. Like the horse of some snobbish delegate, all decked out and ready to be ridden and then Zeke swoops in like "I like you, you're mine now" - Oh good to know, phew. Your writing intimidates me tbh, but I'll get over it once we start. Also, I'm really sorry but I doubt I'll be much on for the next couple weeks. Life's getting in the way :( Possibly I'll manage a post every few days, but yeah, just as a heads up.

Also, I'm imagining the Imperial Knights to sort of be glorified accessories, essentially. They all have to *finger quotes* look the part, and basically be impressive not functional. So they'd be well-taken care of, (though they'd also have various regulations and rules imposed on them) which might have some resentment, I imagine, from other knights. The fact that you have his antics down to a T. - No worries btw. I'll most likely be averaging around 4 paragraphs in the rp so there won't be any monster posts and eye-sores. Lmao. I often find extremely long posts quite boring to read. And if a post requires an immediate reply, I wouldn't worry about the length of 2 paragraphs because of it, being too short. Filler words suck tbh. Also, i'm a tryhard regarding character sheets lately because I'm almost never satisfied with how they turn out. For once, I am content with what I have done with Zekes form. - Adding off of what you just said, I agree. Since the Imperial Knights are favoured and well groomed by both high-society and the royals, there would definitely be some issues between them and the ordinary crusaders. Being a royal entourage, I think they'd have basic training regarding protection and what not, but ultimately, the Imperial Knights are made out to seem more threatening then they actually are. - I can see some squabbling over the fact on both "knight sides". And who knows, maybe because there is such resentment, when the royal unit is sent after Zeke and Malachi, maybe there's some "bad apple" knights who'd rather trade Malachi to some rogue group of convicts than safely return him to the capital. - You don't need to worry much about activity btw. We all have lives. I'd much prefer simple updates than burnt out posts in the 1x1. ;-; --Malachi seems lovely so far btw. Can't wait to guess their dynamic. Edited at April 12, 2022 05:50 PM by Edera

Ookay, poofed for a while there, but I'm back! At least, til I disappear again, but I won't abandon this completely. - Oh, good lmao. I honestly find long posts quite fun to read, but that's only when there's either stuff happening or the writer's style is engaging. Also when I don't have to match it. I think filler words are fun, but hard to find exactly the right ones to make it seem not too clunky or stuffed- y'know? Same here, I often find myself going back and editing character sheets even after the RP's started. - Yep, you got it perfectly. I would think the Imperial Knights would only socialise with the others of their rank, and not many others. Since the resentment would prevent them from making connections with the ordinary Knights and perhaps the other servants, and the royals would essentially see them are glorified accessories. So they'd be quite isolated, I would think. Maybe not even interacting much with each other. - Oh that is interesting. I think there would be. But maybe their thought process would be that if Malachi never returns to the capital, once of their own would be assigned to his place as Imperial Knight. Of course, there would only be one vacancy, but there's sufficient greed for the privilege granted by that position that they would act first, think later. They would try to even negotiate with Zeke, though after realising he doesn't want Malachi, only money, they'd maybe think of other ways to stop him from returning the Imperial Knight for the ransom. - Good, here's hoping I finish Malachi's sheet soon lmao :'^ Edited at April 16, 2022 03:24 AM by Jack Of Stars
