Lost can I ask you worldbuilding questions? I mean, I'm going to ask anyway for the sake of not having to make a bunch of posts, but I thought it'd be polite to ask first. ~ 1. What's the general area we're gonna start in? Like, which continent/country. Ifin you could say without spoilers. 2. Weather, what be it? Are we freezing, is the area prone to sudden rain, is it sandy? Also terrain. Is this some abandoned megacity, are we wandering aimlessly in the middle of the woods, is it something between those two? 3. Is there a problem with the enviornment beyond weather? As in, after the apocalypse, were there any hazards caused by a lack of maintenence? A nuclear reactor went critical and now a couple square miles are dangerously radioactive, a chemical got released into the water supply so now nobody can drink from the city's resevoir(s), the air is full of lead particles, something like any of those? 4. So society collapsed three years ago, and a majority of humanity died, right? So how's the resource availibility? Are we talking Easy-Mode Fallout 4 or Spartan Metro 2033 levels here. If you don't know what either of those mean, are bullets/food/etc. falling out of the sky, or is everyone fighting over a single .22 caliber bullet with rocks? From what you've got written down, it seems like everyone died quickly, so was there enough time for the (probably) billions to empty to proverbial shelves, or was this some kind of Thanos Snap event where everyone keeled over to die without raiding the grocery stores? 5. You say pretty much everybody's dead. Is there any kind of major NPC group/faction besides the scientists that might be a threat to our peoples? Are there bands of raiders, convoys of Mad Max-style murderers, or anything of the like? In general. 6. Is this taking place in a time/world where society was at our current level, technologically behind us, or ahead of us? I need to know if there are laser guns for research purposes. 7. You said that all the groups are going to be scattered around the globe, but then how is everyone going to interact with characters outside their own groups? 8. How destroyed is the enviornment? What damage did the earthquakes, hail, flashflooding(?), tornados(?) do? Are we living in mostly stable sturctures, or is everything prone to collapsing at the slightest tap? 9. Animals! Are there a bunch? Only a few? Some middling amount? And which creatures are the most common? Do rabbits rule the world now? 10. Kind of tied to #4, but what resources are availible? Is the place we end up in full of computer parts? Basically, what kind of stuff is gonna be reasonably found wherever we end up. Are cars everywhere? Is fabric a rarity? Is this an agricultural or industrial area? Give me something, I need your lore. 11. What utilities are still availible? Is there still electricity in the main power grid? What about running water? Of course, it's fine! --- 1. So the three groups are actually all starting in different terrains (or that was the initial plan), once a group is complete, the players can all talk and decide what terrain they want, the options will probably be desert, mountains, forests, valleys, swamp/nearby forests, big city (Like New York or LA), and maybe some more- This also means the groups may take a little bit to meet up depending on where they are. The general idea is that the 'disaster' spread people out and tossed them into different terrains (The experiment who can survive where and how long.) 2. Wheather will depend on where your characters are. 3. Yes and no, again, kinda depends on where your character landed. Resources will differ based on surroundings, as will things that were affected by the disaster. For example, if your characters ended up in a big city then things like oil or toxins in the water will probably be a more relevant problem, along with fallen buildings and gas leaks, whereas characters in the desert, swamp, or mountain terrains will probably struggle more with things like lack of water (especially freshwater), not enough shelter, and more wild animals. 4. Yes, almost everyone died, and quickly, but the disaster is very recent. A lot of people didn't have time to do anything, but some managed to survive by getting to a storm shelter... or just being plain lucky. A lot of stores were destroyed, and there isn't really any 'fresh' food left (though you could find some naturally if you were in the forests or mountains.), but canned food isn't super scarce (at least, not where there were previously people), if you're in the big city or come across a village in your own terrain, your characters can probably find something edible. 5. If you'd like, you could make one, though that would probably really only be in the big city. Most people are dead, though there are a few people that survived, and most of them aren't very nice. Typically, your characters would want to avoid them. But, yes, there will be a few crazed, 'just trying to survive' NPC's running around. 6. Current time or slightly ahead. No, my friend, there are no laser guns, sorry to disappoint XD 7. Yes, they will be scattered, so I actually do have an idea for the characters to all meet up at some point. This would basically be the scientists dropping some sort of hint telling everyone that there's 'peace and prosperity' if they get themselves somewhere (undecided) alive. They'd meet each other along the way or when they get there (Obviously, the scientists are liars, so there wouldn't actually be anything. Also, this is one of the few 'plot-driven things I have, so bear with me-) 8. Everything in sight can, and will collapse. Be careful and don't trust anything. (There are a few stable structures, but not many-) 9. Based on settings, big cities won't have many animals, maybe some dogs, cats, and birds, but they'll be scarce. Forests will probably have the most wildlife, and maybe mountains too, but fewer domestic animals. Deserts will have typical desert animals- 10. Also depends on where you are, characters in the big city will have more access to things like cars and parts. People in mountains, forests, etc. will more likely than not find a smaller village with a couple of things, but it's not very likely that they'll find something like a car. A gun, maybe, or some sort of computer, but not a car. 11. In the big city, all the power has gone out, but there is a power plant. No running water either. There won't be any working electricity anywhere else either, and probably not much running water, though it is possible that a smaller village, especially in the desert, could still have running water because of where it's situated.

Since the twins both have their affiliations for each other, I'm deciding to go ahead and post these very WIP affiliation sheets. Kalei’s Affiliations Kase Matthew Jones: WIP Kostas Osborne: WIP Salem’s Affiliations Samira Octuras: WIP Niyol Dezba: WIP Mion’s Affiliations Jake Calhill: WIP Kataru Ocrtati Kouzai: Ah, yes, his twin… They’re childish, sure, but they’re also about the only person Mion would ever consider talking to openly at the moment. And he honestly doubts that’ll change anytime soon. So, yes, while Kataru can be somewhat annoying at times- He’d rather be annoyed by Kataru than be annoyed by anyone else. Of course though, it’s not as though Kataru’s always annoying either. They can get a job done, and he respects that. Even if they’re a bit too talkative at times for his liking. And pushy when it comes to Mion taking care of himself. After all, he is taking care of himself. Quite well too, in his opinion. Kataru’s Affiliations Jake Calhill: WIP Mion Naprotiv Kouzai: Mion! It’s their twin! Their twin! Let’s go! Their twin! Their best friend!… Yeah. They’re a bit obsessed, not by too much though. It isn’t their fault that their only friend is their twin, okay? You’d be obsessed too if it were you and Mion was your only friend. Either way, Kataru’s pretty sure that they’re the only one that can truly read Mion accurately. Anyone else would just be grasping randomly at the information gotten from a year or so of knowing him. Nothing compared to the lifetime Kataru has with him. So yeah, there’s that. But honestly? Kataru wishes Mion wouldn’t be so hard on himself, and to allow himself some freaking hot chocolate! Hot chocolate makes everyone feel better! Edited at December 29, 2021 01:33 PM by Overthink101

Jake Calhill's Affiliations: Cai Argus Caerwyn- {6} Cai is... weird. Jake can't blame him for the genuinely astounding amount of useless trivia he knows, but it's not like anyone could have planned for the apocalypse to happen. Plus, there might be something useful locked in the back of Cai's brain. It's statistically impossible that he knows nothing usefully. Probably. Jake's not a statistics guy, sue him. That optimisim of his is all well and good, as long as it doesn't make Caerwyn naive in the process. The physical limitations aren't too much of an issue either, but just in case Jake's going to encourage him to stay at range. ~ Salen Veida Frez- {7} Being smart is very important and useful when there's no such thing as Google anymore. She's gotta know stuff that's a little more applicable to survival than Jake does, anyway. Bust also, calm the fuck down please. Don't deafen him, ears are necessary. ~ Numerical Scale: 0- Have you considered visiting that old nuclear power plant? I hear it's got some really good loot, and I need someone to watch my back while I gut yo- the place. 1- Run. 2- Begone from this place, lest I attempt to stab. 3- I'm leaving. Good luck with not dying or whatever. 4- Six feet minimum. 5- Who dat? 6- You are tolerable. Congratulations! 7- I would loan you a single knife. If you asked. 8- I would give you a single knife. 9- Do you need someone strung up by their esophagus? 10- I have already commited genocide in your name, and am fully down for round two.
