▕▔▔▔▔▔▔▿▔▔▔▔▔▔▏ Burning Embers ▕▁▁▁▁▁▁▵▁▁▁▁▁▁▏ The Kingdom of Ederia is famed for a lot of things, attaining high praise from all those that look upon her. However, there is one thing Ederia is most renowned for: Dragon Riders. The only Kingdom to have come up with a way to tame the legendary beasts, to ride upon their backs as one. It has been like this for decades, perhaps even centuries, few really know. And, together in harmony, Dragons and Humans have lived, creating a proserpous nation. The Dragon Academy of Ederia is like none other, literally there are no others known to the world. A place where young students who have been lucky enough to be chosen by their dragons go to learn to become the most revered role in all of Ederia: Dragon Riders. Few are selected, as dragons are known to be an entirely selective species, but those who are chosen must learn quickly, and that is where the Academy comes in. Exerpienced riders teach the fledgling riders and their dragons how to work together as one, as well as everything the youths will need to know about dragons and what they are up against in the world. It sounds like a beautiful, wonderful place, right? Too bad all good things must come to an end. Jealous nations, wanting to claim the glory for themselves and bring down Ederia have set their sights on destroying the Academy. It was only a matter of time before the succeeded too. One night, the forces of another Kingdom infilitrated the Kingdom, intent on burning it all. And they did. The Academy was destroyed, the cities burned, and it's occupants, the ones who tried to resist and fight back, were slaughtered. In hopes of preserving a little bit of their legacy so that hope would remain, the Leaders of Ederia and the Dragon Riders commanded the students to flee, to survive, to learn. As the battle raged on for Ederia, the students fled, looking back on the carnage behind them, hoping that one day they could come back and restore their beloved Kingdom.

The Rules of the Roleplay Follow all of WP's and Eve's Rules. 1. Be Active. Sometimes I'm not on for a couple of days, but I expect everyone to be as active as they can for the rp. Unless you are waiting for someone to post, you should be posting. 2. Reservations last 48 hours. You know how I work if they aren't done in time. 3. Finish the characters you post first, before creating new ones. 4. For now, limit of Four characters per person. 2 Rider, 2 Dragon. 5. Semi-Realism and Semi-Literacy are required. Please do not make me explain myself. 6. Dragons are classed solely by their colors and abilities. Stick to their base descriptions for your dragons, and expand from there. 7. The riders are new, they will not be experts at Dragon Riding. Mistakes will be made, and they do not know everything. 8. For now, your dragon and your rider cannot be partners, this it to prevent people from not having others to post with. Please find a pair for your characters prior to the rp starting, if you do not, I will asign them. 9. Ask permission from the Roleplayer if you wish to be their character's partner, however, do not try and force it. There will be someone else out there for you. 10. Try to keep things even with genders, it's much more interesting if things are diverse. 11. LGBTQ+ is welcomed and allowed here. 12. Please put your favorite Dragon movie or book in the other section of your form if you've read everything.
The Academy Rules 1. No romantic relationships while enrolled between students. It's forbidden. 2. Curfew is 9 PM. Dorm checks will be done to confirm students are in their rooms. 3. Opposite Genders are not allowed in the other dorms after 8 Pm. 4. Tardiness is not allowed. If you are late to class more than 3 times, you will receive extra work or chores as punishment. 5. Riding outside of School Grounds Without Permission is Strictly Prohibited for your Safety. 6. Violence among students is not acceptable, unless in a specific class like Sparring. 7. Dragons: Do not eat the students. Please. 8. Students are expectedt o provide and care for their Dragons. 9. Any Students Found Mishandling Dragon Eggs will face Expulsion! (Gregory)

About the Academy The Academy was found by some of the first generations of riders, wanting a streamlined way for new riders to learn and grow safely. It features basic education as well as everything revolving around dragons from care to flight to sparring, and everything in between and beyond.
The Academy is much like modern day college, in the fact that the chosen riders leave home to live on the grounds. Their dragons also live on the grounds in the rookery, though are typically much less happy about it than the humans. The humans are split into two dorms, one for boys and one for boys, and are assigned rooms that they share with two people in each room. Each of the dorms have common rooms where the students can relax on down time, and a dining hall for meals, though they aren't always required to eat there.
The Dragon counterparts stay in one of the two rookeries. The first is the top level of the school, carved out and fitted so that each dragon has a little outcropping of space for its nest. It's a very large and open room, and spans much of the building. It has openings on either broadside that the dragons can enter through by flight or glide. There is also a human door that allows the students access as well.
The second rookery is underground, a expanse of cave systems that gives each dragon a bit more privacy than in the first rookery. Each dragon has its own cave, and the nests are all connect by a system of tunnels which then connect to the large main tunnel, which can easily fit multiple dragons in it at once, that leads to the entrance. Ironically, the tunnel entrance itself looks like a cave mouth until one were to venture within it further.
About the Dragons There are a variety of dragons in the world, though everyone single one of them fall into one of the classes listed below. Each Class has been determined based off its characteristics and its singular special ability. While each dragon within a single class will vary considerably, they all have similar traits that they carry and specifications they fall into.
All the dragons in the Rp are the same age group of young adult, which is the stage where they are 50 years old or above, becoming full adults at about 250 years. The older a dragon gets the longer the aging stage lasts, ergo ancient is longer than adult, which is longer than young adult, which is longer than their adolescent stage, and so on and so forth. Dragons are considered semi-immortal but it has never been proven what age they die naturally at. Below each Class of dragon will have a basic description that each dragon has in its foundation. It will include things like height, traits, etc that you will need to include. Classes Each Class of Dragon has color variations within it, all dragons within that Class share a special power that the other classes do not have.
Fire Class Common Special Ability: Extremely Hot Fire Breath The Ability is to breath hot fire, varying in degrees through their control. It isn't enough to melt Dragon Scales, however, it can melt metal, stone, wood, etc. Relies upon the dragon being well fed to sustain the flame. Lack of food = lack of flame. Use does burn energy. Color Variarions: Reds & Oranges Size: 7ft - 14 ft at the Shoulder Traits: Hot-tempered, Aggressive, Stubborn, Territorial, Confident Build: Large and Muscular, but with more Athletic Build. Leaner than Earth Dragons, Thicker than Light Dragons. Habitat: Deserts or Volcanos Strengths/Weaknesses: Impervious to Heat and Fire, Can't breathe fire in cold climate, Must be well fed to maintain fire, Loses Energy through use of fire breath Available Slots: 0/3
Water Class Common Special Ability: Boiling Water For Fire Breath Rather than breathing fire, these dragons are able to "breathe" streams of boiling water at others. The, like fire dragons, can adjust the temperature of the water. They must be hydrated to use. Lack of Hydration = Lack of Water. Usage does dehydrate. Color Variations: Blues & Purples Size: 7ft to 12 ft at the Shoulder Traits: Calm, Disdainful at Times, Intelligent, Resourceful, Territorial Build: Lean and Muscular, almost Lanky. Built for endurance and stamina. Webbed feet build for swimming. Small wings designed for aiding in swim and gliding, not able to use them for true flight. Not scaled, instead thick, leather like skin. Habitat: Beaches or Aquatic Strenths/Weaknesses: Get dehydrated faster, skin is sensitive to fire and heat, efficient swimmers and can hold breath for long periods of time, unable to fly but can glide, must be hydrate to use water blast, using ability dehydrates them Available Slots: 0/3
Air Class Uncommon Special Ability: Freezing Breath Not to mistaken for Ice Breath, which is the Breating of Ice, Air Dragon's have Breath so cold it freezes things. They obviously don't always use it, so it is an elective power they have control over. Like the others, this requires energy, the more they use it, the more tired they become and less effective it is. Color Variations: White & Pastel Colors Size: 6ft - 11ft at the Shoulders Traits: Peaceful, Passive, Compassionate, Light Hearted, Easy Going Build: Slim, petite dragons with large wings for their bodies. Fastest of the dragons when flying. Not very hardy in comparison to others, slim figure built for speed and agility. Smallest of all the dragons. Habitat: Mountain Tops Strengrhs/Weaknesses: Lungs are better able to filter oxygen, can fly higher for longer, resistant to cold, can alter the temperature of their breath from normal to cold, don't handle warm temperatures well, fast flyers and few larger dragons can keep up Available Slots: 0/2
Earth Class Uncommon Special Ability: Acid Spit This is an ability that's primary function is to air in burrowing. The spit has a mild decaying aspect, and soften hardened ground to make digging easier. It's relatively harmless to dragons, though irritating to them and more so humans, however, it's entirely painful and can cause terrible damage if taken to the eyes. They have acid glands, which have a limited quantity that replenish over time (talking hours). Color Variations: Greens & Browns Size: 10ft to 16ft at the Shoulders Traits: Calm, Serious, Determined, Hard Working Build: Earth Dragons are one of the largest classes, and are the bulkiest. Heavily muscled, the carry around a heavy assortment of scales. They can be built like battening rams which can make them slow. They cannot fly, but can have small wings or frills on the legs and sides that allow them to glide. Habitat: Forests Strengths/Weaknesses: Large and Powerful, Cannot Fly, Can Glide, Climb and Burrow, Slower Moving, Need lots of Rest, Acid Breath is Mild and is only a mild irritant to others unless it gets in the eyes, Naturally more Armored, Sensitive to Cold Available Slots: 0/2
Light Class Rare Special Ability: Blinding Light Light Dragons can emit a flash of blinding light, think flash bang without the bang, which can temporarily blind and/or stun opponents. They have one good charge in them before they need to rest for an average of 3 hours to even get enough for anything useful. They can all use it in a more mild manor where they illuminate their body, something that doesn't require much energy, and might even be more natural. This is controlled though, and can be turned off. This is recharged through the sun. Color Variations: Gold, White, Silver, & Opalescent/Pearlescent Size: 5ft - 15ft at the Shoulder; Their Wings Make Then Look Taller Traits: Good, Calm, Kind, Open, Intelligent & Wise Build: Light Dragons, like Dark Dragons, Vary Considerably in Size. They can either be smaller to large, with wings that are commonly on the larger side. They tend to have leaner, but powerful builds without being overtly bulky. Because they're rare, there is less known about them. Habitat: Anywhere, Like to Live Among Other Dragons (Espeically Air Dragons) Strengths/Weaknesses: More Fragile Wings (Due to Size), Can Radiate Light When Needed And Can use it as a Flash of Blinding Light, Highly Intelligent, Absorb Energy from the Sun which Powers their Ability, High Fortitude Available Slots: 0/1
Dark Class Rare Special Ability: Smog Breath Able to emit noxious gas that is dark in color, Dark Dragons primarily use their ability for defense. It provides cover, the dark plume both physically hiding them as well as causing confusion within anyone trapped within the fog or inhales it too much (3+ breaths). The gas is fueled by a chemical reaction caused from stored minerals gain from mushrooms. When those stores are empty, they can't create it. The smog can also emit from glands beneath the wings and at the tip fo the tail. Color Variations: Black, Near Black Colors, Iridescent Size: 8ft - 16ft at the Shoulder Traits: Elusive, Solitary, Highly Intelligent, Wary Build: Lean and Muscular, but with more Variation than some of the Other Species. Almost Cat Like in Movement, Very Graceful. Well Balanced Proportions for Speed, Grace, and Strength. Because they're rare, there is less known about them. Habitat: Any place that isn't easily accessible or darkest Strengths/Weaknesses: Immune to Most Toxins, Stealthy, Silent When Flying, Can use Smog Breath to Create Cover, Breath is Highly Flammable, Sensitive to Light and Fire, Camoflauges Well, Sensitive Sound and Scents Available Slots: 0/1
Please PM me in regards to any questions about the dragons, and exceptions that might be made. Available Slots means how many spots remain open of the spots created for that class. Squad Leader & Their Dragon
This is the Rider and Dragon Pair who will be basically taking command of the New Recruits. He/She is their Lead in School, and once they've been trained, he/she will be their Command Leader out in battle if they become warriors.
They will be slightly older than the New Recruits, about 20-24. They are bascially fully trained and battle ready, but because they were chosen to lead the new recruits, they were not sent out with their original team, now being the leader of this one. Being Chosen as the Lead is an honor for any Rider.

Name: Calemira; Often called Mira, or Mir-Mir by the Other Dragons Age: Young Adult About 114 Years Old Gender: Female Class: Light Dragon Appearance:

Calemira is a dragonness who believes herself to fierce in appearance, even though, in reality, she falls a bit short of it. Both literally and metaphorically. Mira is a whopping 5 feet tall at the shoulder right now, putting her at about the same height and size as a smaller horse. She has a leaner build than a horse her height, with a slendice bodice, and elegant curved features. Her legs and slim and relatively long in terms of her size, carrying her in smooth motions whenever she walks. She has a slightly longer body too, not too long as to be viewed as odd, but it definitely creates a slightly more fluid motion to her movements.
The female's head is on the more narrow side with a slightly more diamond or triangular shape. It's a bit wider at the back of her head, getting slightly narrower as it gets to the tip of her nose. There isn't a huge gradient in size. Her muzzle is definitely on the narrower side in comparison to other dragons, coming to a ridge tip that is almost beak like in it's appearance, though it isn't a beak in the slightest. Ropey and sinewy muscle covers the female's body, her neck, which is a bit on the longer side, again without being too obvious, is graceful but muscular. There is, despite her size, a lot of power in her jaws, as there would be any dragon, the muscles of her jaws combined with the muscles in her neck give her the great capability of being able to shake something with vigorous rage.
The slender dragoness sports two winds attached to her body around her shoulder area, and aren't anything to scoff at in terms of size. With a wingspan of around 11 feet, close to 12 feet, wide, the female has wings that are as long as she is tall, capable of carrying her easily and quickly through the air. Due to her size and strength, she can't carry much weight, and anything that is too heavy will cause her to strain and struggle. Anything over 125 lbs would be a bit of a feat for her to carry over any sort of distance. At the top of her wings there is a long, hook like claw that she can use to latch onto surfaces when climbing, or use to latch her wings together around her chest. It can also be used as a weapon to slash, just as much as it can be used to grip. Her wings also have sharp claw like spikes at the end of each bone in her wings. These are for protection, and are able to be used when fighting.
Along the female's bodies, joining the scales that protect her, are various different spikes and ridges. Along her spine are several inch long spikes, the scales along either side of them forming ridges for further protection. They shorten as they reach and go down her tail until there are known left for the last half of the female's tail. They are longest at the base of her neck, and at the center of her back, just below where her wings connect. The female also has spikes that line her cheeks in several fan like layers, providing protection from the side to her throat, as well as several ridged layers of spikes at the nape of her neck and the base of her head. These are all for protection as well, and relatively short for now. As she ages, they will continue to grow, becoming even longer and more deadly with time.
Also atop her head, and quite possibly one of the things she is most proud of her, are her horns. They are long, almost abnormally so, and reach up high into the air. Growing from her head, the head up and then arc backwards, before they eventually arc upwards and again and then forward. They are elegantly curved horns, often adorned in various gold or jem accents. They aren't terribly sharp tipped, but enough so that, when applied to anything with pressure, they will cut through it. Her front feet are tipped with long, curved claws that are thick and difficult to break on surfaces. Mira is careful to keep these filed sharp, as she prefers to use them when fighting. Her back feet, though, hold a duller set of claws, and while they'll still hurt, they aren't quite as deadly as the front. She also has spikes along the back side of her front legs that offer protection from anyone trying to damage them. Her tail, which is also a useful tool, is quite long, over the length of her body, that narrows until it ends in a point. It isn't sharp or anything like that, but it is basically prehensile, capable of gripping a plethora of different things, whether it be for mundane reasons or for combat.
Beside her smaller build, Calemira is known for her unusual appearance in terms of coloration as well. While her siblings all vary with beautiful colors and flashy appearances, the female is the equivalent of an albino. Her scales are all white, not pearlescent or grey, but stark ivory. Some of them almost appear translucent at time, the pink of her skin showing through them, but, besides that, the only color within her scales is the absence of it. It's obvious the female is an albino due to the skin that shows through her scales, or can be seen wherever her skin is exposed, but also because the membrane of her wings has a pink hue to it, as well as her eyes being a reddish pink color.
The only other thing to keep in mind about her appearance is the female's front feet and claws always seem to be slightly stained red from blood. She's a violent, nasty little thing with a penchant for literally opening up those who displease her and spilling their insides on the floor. Sometimes she might even play with them. Kind of depends on the mood.
Accessories or Armor: There are several accessories that Calemira wears upon her body at any given time.
At a glance it is pretty obvious that the female enjoys all things that are gold, or, at least, gold in color. She often has different gold bands on her horns or tail. She also has gold cuffs that she sometimes wears on her front legs, made to fit so that they shield the front half of her wrist. The female will pretty much adorn herself with any type of gold jewelry she feels like at the time, and won't hesitate to throw ina jem or two in the process.
The other accessory she is almost never without her is eye covering. It's basically a sheer, light material that is similar to a shawl or a scarf, and used as a blindfold for her. She often makes it seem more intricate and elegant than just wrapping it around her face though. Instead she either will wrap it once or twice around her eyes, and then around her neck in a criss cross pattern before she lets it hang down at her shoulders. The other way she wears it is by wrapping her eyes once or twice, and then crossing the ends above her eyes and pulling the material loosely over the top of her horns and letting it fall back behind them and over her neck. She has multiple different eye coverings that she wears, coming in a multitude of colors, though they all her light wear with a more sheer material.
For this Eye Covering, she almost always has it on her neck, but only places it over her eyes when the sun is out from behind the clouds. She doesn't always have to wear it during the day, only when the sun is actually out. I there are clouds that the sun is hiding behind, her eyes can be out.
Besides the jewelry and the covering, the dragoness also basically puts makeup on herself. She often lines her eyes with a sheer gold power, believing it to accentuate the pink hued orbs. She also with rub it on different places of her body, like her neck or shoulders, as a form of high lighting. She will change colors as she feels, some days opting for darking colors, or other light colors. But the female loves the color gold, so it's her primary go to. Personality: An Oddball.
For most of her life, Calemira has stood our for two reasons: her size [or lack thereof] and her.. er.. unique personality. It's never once in her life bothered her that she was a bit different than the rest, accepting herself for how she was without even a second thought. Should that be a mild concern for everyone else? Absolutely yes.
The young female is someone who has been called, both affectionately and not, the little lunatic. Known for her percision in violence, Mira is no stranger to blood, death, gore, and killing, in fact, she generally quite enjoys it, though she does her best not to harm those around her who aren't deserving of it. That does not apply to those who enter her cave uninvited. Heathens.
With an intellect that is almost scary, but with the unfortunate defect of being a bit scatter brained, Mira's intelligence is known to be cunning, calculating, but also choppy. Sometimes focusing is trying to steer a ship during a hurricane for her, and sometimes it's like locking onto a rabbit with eagle's sight. When she's with it, the female could probably come up with 10 different ways to destroy the world before breakfast, but on days when she isn't all there, she wouldn't even know how to add simple numbers.
It's evident by just looking at her, watching her, that there is something almost fractured in her mind. She's an incredibly social butterfly, but with such weird oddities that others are off put by her. Not that she's ever minded though, the opinions of others, with the exception of the other dragons, have never meant anything to her. Perhaps if her mind worked the way it should, they would matter though. None of that matters, though, because Calemira, the social butterfly she is, is confident in herself and that's kind fo all that matters.
Behind that social butterfly is the more true Mira, the part of her that seems to terrify others and keep them at bay. This is the naturally violent side of her that things eviscerating someone is fun. That painting with their entrails is art, and fileting flesh is a skill. Bones, jewelry, gold, and pleasant materials all appeal to the collector in her, but the other part of her also relishes playing in a recent kill, and separating spinal columns from muscle without nicking the bone.
The little female, the little lunatic, is pretty unhinged, but in a rather controlled way. She hasn't lost all her marbles yet to go on a killing spree. And she cares deeply for those she bonds with, she just shows her affection, adoration, and love in very unique ways. Very.
Despite her size. It's important to note that Mir-Mir can be realtively aggressive, and is almost always the first to jump into a fight. Just because she cannot finish a fight, doesn't mean she won't fight someone, and she won't hesitate just because of size. She has no fear of death, and thinks it would be an absolute thrill.
She's not okay. But she's fine. Rider: Open Abilities: Calemira Prefers to Fight with her Claws and Teeth. She won't necessarily be winning any fights on her own, but she's unlikely to lose many races.
- Mira is a very calculative and cunning individual, one who's mind and wit seems to know no bounds, nor does her moral compass seem to steer her either.
- Despite being relatively small, Mira tends to primarily use her claws and teeth for fighting. So when in a close up battle, the female isn't afraid to get down and dirty.
- While she's good at aerial maneuverability, and her combat in the sky is primarily reduced to fleeing. Which she's very good at. Or dive bombing.
- Calemira has the will of iron, and is a resilient little thing with a more durable fight within her than her own body is. Weaknesses: - She is small girl, and isn't very strongs in dragon terms. She won't win any 1v1 fights against larger, stronger opponents. That's why she has Vasuki.
- Mira's eyes are sensitive to the light, and though her eye sight isn't bad, she's often left a little blind either due to her eye covering or being exposed to the sun. Light in her eyes is a sure way to piss the little female off though. Which if you don't see the irony, I can't help you.
- Calemira doesn't have the capability to carry more than about 125 lbs while flying, and is forced to fly much slower than normal due to the strain it causes. Even on the ground, she will get tired faster if she's forced to carry something too heavy.
- MirMir is a bit blood thirtsty? Violent? The perfect word is unknown, but she's a bit of a wild card, and highly unpredictable, but she will always to be the first to rush into violent battle. She doesn't always use strategies either. Sometimes it's just launching herself at others' faces. Affiliations: Vasuki - WIP Other: The female often vocalizes, creating a variety of different chirps, hisses, growls, etc. that she uses to communicate with those around her. Her rider would have to be pretty tiny for her to carry, so I will be picky about one. Calemira is an outlier when it comes to the Light Dragon class in terms of her personality.

Name: Nicodemus Brooks; Commonly called Nico, Demus, or Brooks Age: Twenty-Three Gender: Male Appearance:
At a glance, Nicodemus can be a relatively intimidating sight, especially for those who aren't familiar with him. Standing at six feet and five inches, the tall young man tends to tower over most who are around him, catching the eyes of everyone without putting in any effort. Who's eyes aren't drawn to someone who literally stands above the crowd? He's not one of those super tall guys with pole like structure either, instead, Nico his meat to his bones, albeit not as much as others. He still holds a lean figure, but one that is athletic with toned muscle clearling lining his physique. He's in good shape, with defined muscle presenting itself where ever there is skin exposed. Nicodemus is by no means rock hard muscle, though he do have perfect choking hands if you know what i mean, or anything of the sort, but he's not someone to count out just because he isn't a double wide either. With his height, even his lean build isn't a light weight, as he comes in at about 213 lbs. He's no push over by any means, and with his muscular build, is capable of holding his own in most fights, but also capable of moving with grace and efficiency. Nicodemus keeps himself in good shape by constantly pushing himself in, well, everything.
Even without his height, it's likely that Nico would still catch the eyes around him for others reasons. The second being his hair. It's long, inky tresses are much longer than one might expect from a man, as they reach down to about his waist, maybe just a bit above. It's naturally straight which makes it's length easier for him to keep well groomed, though it's thickness and weight make it heavy sometimes. The hair is pleasing to the touch though, as it is well kept and is often quite soft to the touch. Not that he's going to let anyone touch his hair. That's a no no. It might be tempting to touch his locks, but it's not something he is going to let just anyone ever do. So avoid the temptation and keep your hands.
Truthfully, though, Nicodemus has a rather striking appearance, as if the combination of height and hair weren't captivating enough. His skin is a pale ivory color, the shade definitely being cold toned, as there is seemingly no warmth in his at all. Being a shade or two above alabaster, his fair skin is relatively unblemished by anything, with the exception of a few scars he has gained across his body. His skin is in great contrast to the inky mane of hair he holds, but the pair of slate gray eyes seem to tie the features together a bit and soften the devastation of their appearance despite being as cold as steel themselves.
Nicodemus' features all hold a familiar trait amongst them, they're all cold, straight edges. His jaw line, which is strong but narrow, sharp enough to cut glass, something that his cheek bones share. His eyes are a mix of almond and hooded, fitting the features of his face, as anything too round or big would look out of place on the recesses of his face. His eye brows match the shape of his eyes, being straight as well, though well groomed and not overtly thick in appearance. His cheeks are a bit taut at times too, though they only ever truly look hollow whenever he is under the weather and feeling quite sick. Otherwise they give him a very defined look, as if he was carved from stone. Nico's nose is like the rest of him too, straight nose, one that has yet to be broken, as he is always careful to protect his face. His lips are a medium fullness, though they always seem to be thinner than what they actually are because he usually has them in a thin line or grimace. Truthfully, Nico rarely smiles, so the full extent of his lips often goes unseen. And, as if that wasn't enough, he has eyelashes that most women would absolutely die for. They're long and thick, and curl up naturally too. It's like he has a thin layer of mascara on constantly, except that's just how his eyelashes are. The gods are unfair.
In terms of identifiable features, Nico has a few of them. The first is, and smallest, is the beauty mark that appears at the outside bottom corner of his left eye. It's barely bigger than the tip of a pencil, but it's there, and it just further accentuates the male's beauty. If anything, it somehow softens his features. The next are the pair of dimples that form on his cheeks when the male actually smiles for once. They're rare, and hardly ever seen, but boy are they glorious when they do show. Lastly, the most noticeable are the tattoos that trace up his arms starting at his wrists and coming up to wrap across his shoulders. They're a flowy style, designed to look like water washing up and over his arms before crashing over his shoulders. They are simply black, no color, and are a stark contrast to the color of his skin.
Lastly, Nicodemus holds a pair of vocals that just seem right for him. They're deeper, baritone vocals that seem to reverberate in his chest. His voice isn't so deep as to be unsettling or at the basso level, but it isn't light or airy either. He also likes to wear a cologne that seems to be inspired from a cold, rainy day. It's delightful.
Clothing: For clothing, Nicodemus doesn't have a very large sense of style. He prefers simple and practical clothing that fits him well and allows him to move without hindrance. He isn't one for flashy colors or anything of the sort, he's more so black long sleeve shirts, either leather themselves or ones that have the ties on the chest, black pants, hide or leather will do, and black boots. Occasionally he will mix it up and wear a white or brown shirt instead. He prefers taller boots that come up to mid-calf to protect himself when riding. On days or night that it is colder, he does have a black cloak that he adorns, and a heavier one lined with fur for when it's much colder.
Nicodemus also tends to do different things for his hair, it's the one thing he does put more effort into it. Somedays he will wear it down, others he will have it pulled back. Some times when he has it pulled back, he will include braiding into it to make it look more fancy. These are things he learned from his mother, as she always took great pride in his hair.

Nicodemus is a creature who prefers to remain as a cold, undecipherably image to others, one where they know well to keep their distance and stay out of his way. He's a relatively calm guy, to a degree, not one to lose his temper and shout in anger, he's never thrown anytihng, or had a tantrum. When the male does actually get mad, more than just mild irritated (which is his constant state it seems), it's in a very cold and sinister way. A completely unremorseful, merciless way that is detatched and and unconcerned with the well being of others. This isn't a side he lets out very often, but once he's been pushed to far, there isn't anything he can do.
Of course, that's the rare side of Nico, most of the time he's generally in a constant state of mild irritation, but remain calm nonetheless. He's critical and hard working, passing judgement on others in the time it takes to snap his fingers, and rather ever differing from that initial assessment. He's an incredibly driven person, the type that once he has his mind set on something, he's going to push and push and push himself until he gets there. He doesn't understand the concept of failure, even though it is very much a thing. This drive gives him very little time for any shenanigans, and if someone tries to throw him off course, even if it's unintentional, with his blunt and honest nature, he's going to rip them to shreds. See, Nico doesn't have to be angry to verbally eviscerate them, he will happy destroy every fiber of their being with a look and not even think twice about it.
Now, it's important to realize something over time. Nicodemus isn't like this because he's just an asshole. Okay. Yes. He is one, but not just because he can be, not completely. He also cares, and he wants to see everyone succeed, so that is why he is so critical, so harsh, pushing people even when they feel like they have nothing left to give. They may not like him for it, but they'll be better of for it in the end. Still, that doesn't make Nico all that likeable, not that he really minds. He can be a take reclusive, prefering to keep to his own company, and that of his dragon's, and keep other people at bay. He isn't the type to get close to anyone, and it's highly unlikely anyone will ever know any secrets about him. The best people are the ones he keeps are a distance, and he is content to make it stay that way. That being said, don't assume that Nico is awkward or anything of the sort when socializing. While he doesn't enjoy it, he is good at it, and is known to be quite charismatic. There's a wickedness to his charisma, sometihng that is so sensually smooth it seems borderline unnatural, and it is, considering he'd rather rip out his own throat then have to converse with someone of lesser intelligence (which is pretty much everyone in his own opinion).
Being the supreme daddy of Edge Lords, Nicodemus is an incredibly intelligent character. He's not only someone who can be three steps ahead of someone when needed, but he's able to apply his inteliigence in multiple different formats. He can even make himself appear less intelligent than he actually is, which is a useful tool in making others underestimate him. Of course, his intelligence in general allows him to be a quick thinker, and while he's not that adaptable in every day life, when it comes to sticky situations, Nico is someone you want in your corner. He's incredibly strategic, able to come up with plans, and their back ups, and change them on the fly when needed. Will he die if he has to wash his clothes on Wednesday instead of Thursday? Absolutely. But can he think his way out of a trap? Also yes. He's reliable in the sense of his duty. If something is given to him, or assigned, it's going to get done, one way or another.
Besides being an absolute grouch, there is a few things Nico just has absolutely no time for, no matter the circumstances. He will not tolerate being dragged into stupidity or drama, he finds it a waste of time, a waste of breath, and literally anything else insulting you can think of. It's probably one of the few things that will cause him to lose that frigid temper of his.
Overall, Nico is a very cold, freezing really, individual, who likes to keep himself to himself, and doesn't really try to be anything other than the unlikeable asshole he's been labeled as. It's not like it's incorrect. Dragon: Brontes; Rped by Ciao Stengths & Weaknesses: Strengths Sword Play - While Nicodemus is trained in multiple forms of weaponry, he greatly prefers his long sword. He's been expertly trained in how to use it, and there is likely very few who can best him in combat when using it. He also can use either arm to wield his sword. Strategic - Nico does lack some leadership qualities, but the one thing he isn't short on is his strategic mind. If there is one thing he can do, and do well, it's come up with plans and be able to adjust them when needed, even on the fly. Intelligent - It's no doubt that Nico is of the intelligent sort, but there is a wickedness to his inteliigence that make him absolutely dangerous when he needs to be. If there is something out there that can be used to benefit him, it's going to be found and used. Deceptively Strong - It's easy for many of those around him to believe that he is weaker than he actually is do to his taller and lean appearance. While he might not be as wide or bigger as more muscular counterparts, he holds an incredibly amount of strength since muscle is what makes up more than the majority of his mass.
Weaknesses Unfriendly - It's no surprise, question, or doubt that Nicodemus isn't exactly the most friendly or social creature on the planet. In fact, he's not overly likeable to begin with, but it's not something that has ever bothered him. Self-Reliant to a Fault - To put it bluntly, he isn't the type to ever rely on others, believing that, too often, they're going to let him down. So, instead, he will push himself far too hard to get whatever he needs done. This means he pushes himself passed his limit, and ends up with whatever consequences come with that. Weakened Right Shoulder - A while a go Nico sustained an injury to his right shoulder, and while it has healed, it has left it slightly weaker than the left, and it gets tired a bit faster, and can't take as much strain. He's worked around this my strengthening his left shoulder and learning to use his left arm more.
