Her face is diamond in shape, with a sharp and narrow chin, with a feminine yet strong jawline. Her cheekbones are prominent and sharp, but not enough to give her gaunt cheeks or any sort of exotic look. Her lips are quite full, and a bit too wide to be considered a perfect cupids bow. They also part to reveal a brilliantly white smile that always seems to shine through the darkest of times. Above her lips is her short nose that is narrow and turns up slightly at the tip. Her eyes are a bit on the rounder side, but not completely so, and are often the sharper features of her face so that there is femininity and grace within her facial features. Above her eyes are thinner, pale eyebrows that she keeps quite well groomed. From there, Mal's features are completed by a bright pair of light blue eyes that seem to reflect the color of the sky. Whereas her hair is a halo of golden locks that fall to about her mid back. Her hair is naturally wavy in appearance, though it can be more curly depending on the day. She uses her physical beauty and sensuality to her advantage, employing flirtatious behavior and seductive gestures to get what she wants. She can make people feel special and desired, clouding their own judgment. Mal has a knack for subtly provoking desire and jealousy among others, leaving them to vie for her attention and approval. This often leads to competition and rivalry, furthering her control over whom she manipulates. She can artfully play the part of a vulnerable, misunderstood soul, eliciting a protective instinct to others and then are drawn to rescue her from perceived troubles. She seduction is not a impulsive decision but rather a well-thought-out plan. She patiently waits for the right moments to make her moves, ensuring maximum impact. She is a skilled deceiver, able to craft intricate lies and half-truths with a disarming smile. Her ability to conceal her true intentions by a mask of innocence allows her to navigate intricate social dynamics effortlessly. Mal is adept at manipulating the emotions around her. She can feign vulnerability, envoke sympathy, or stoke desire as needed to achieve her goals, often leaving people entangled in her web of influence. . Full Name: Madison Muriel Gray Heiser Preferred Name: Maddy, Thank You. Nickname(s) Received: Maddy - Everyone calls her this. Except of course close friends and her family members. Leine - Pronounced Lenny, She will usually introduce herself as this to smaller children, and they seem to find it easier. Nicknames Given: TBD- . | ______ ° . ° ✡ ° . ° ______ | . Age: 20 Years Old Birth Date: May 2nd Zodiac: Taurus Alignment: True Good . | ______ ° . ° ✡ ° . ° ______ | . Gender: Female ⁄ Feminine Pronouns: She, Her, Hers Sexuality: Heterosexual . | ______ ° . ° ✡ ° . ° ______ | . Physical Appearance: Standing at 5'7", Maddy is a sight to behold. Maddy is a strikingly attractive you woman, with a graceful, serpentine charm. Her smooth skin is a deep, glowing tan complexion, accentuating her dark emerald green eyes. Maddys tan complexion lends a natural radiance to her face, highlighting her features with a sun-kissed glow. Her complexion is almost flawless, saved from a small beauty mark on her cheek. Her skin is unblemished with the soft luminescence of sage tattoos, their elegant designs carefully descending from her upper neck to her shoulders and down her back to her tail bone. Both of her arms are adorned in comparable fashion of these radiant marks on her skin. Her lithe and agile frame is a testament to her natural athleticism. Her physique is taut and toned, sculpted to perfection, with long, graceful limbs. Maddys body is a classic hourglass, characterized by a slender waist that gracefully curved into voluptuous hips and a well-defined bust. Ever gesture is a sinuous dance that draws attention wherever she goes... Especially if she actually tries to draw attention to herself, which is rare. . Her eyes, reminiscent of emerald gemstones, hold a hypnotic quality. They seem to change colors as sunlight infiltrates them, shifting from a deep, bewitching green to an alluring shade of pistachio coloration. Framing these enchanting eyes, are thick, luxurious eyelashes, which are quite the dark black, which further emphasize her captivating gaze. Cascading down her back like waterfall of midnight silk, her long, raven black hair shimmers. It flows down her back in waves, often in the sunlight, there are undertones of dark blues near the ends, A result from previous hair dyes. Her full lips are usually colored a shade of light rose gold. Her smile is infectious, lighting up any room she enters with it on. Maddy takes meticulous care of herself. Her long, delicate fingers are adorned with impeccably manicured nails. Each nail is a work of art, carefully shaped into a blunt, rounded point, polished, and often painted with light colors such as grays, greens, and pale yellows. . As for Madison's attire, she is a pretty simple girl. On a casual day out or on the beach you will see her wearing a pair of white, gray, or black shorts and a v-neck crop top, thoughher mood on that particular day will determine its color. Other times when she's just chilling around the house, she will most likely be wearing an oversized hoodie (A high chance of it being stolen from another in the house) and shorts, maybe a skirt if she feels like it. If she ever does attend a party, or any special occasion... The girl dresses to impress. Whether that be a dress or a suit, she will never wear sometime basic that doesn't somewhat stand out. Her jewelry and makeup includes pretty standard, basic items. The only piece of jewelry she will wear is the small locket her mother gave to her on her eighteenth birthday and maybe a couple rings. A couple bracelets will also linger on her wrists but nothing too overpowering. Maddy isn't a girl to go overboard with makeup, instead she goes for a clean, natural look most of the time. But again, at parties that may be different. As far as her voice goes, its on the deeper side, not exactly masculine sounding but indeed powerful if it ever need be. But its usually spoken in a soft tone, especially when speaking with animals or young children. She rarely ever raises her voice, but her cousin's somewhat constant out lashes may change that. . Personality: You may not expect her personality to match her appearance when first meeting her, but she's soft, gentle, and probably wouldn't hurt a fly. There's two sides to her- the motherly and affectionate, the impulsive and carefree. She often takes on more of a motherly role in her group of friends and with her family, making sure everyone have their needs met and are all sorted out. And then, there's the other side. Impulsive, reckless, with no care in the world. She'll let loose and do whatever she pleases and whatever comes to mind without a second thought. Although, the carefree side of her is more reserved for being drunk in night out or in. One thing about her is how horribly affectionate and romantic she is. Maddy loves physical attention, and will often come up behind one of her friends closer to her and massage them, hug them from behind, or just rest her head on their shoulder or her forehead against their back. She does not like an empty bed, and prefers to have someone next to her at night. It doesn't even necessarily have to be a person, it could be a dog or even a stuffed animal. And when she likes someone, she'll give hints with romantic gestures or small gestures of love. Compliments, giving gifts, taking them out on dates (although she wouldn't explicitly say its a date.) And with her lovers? Its a whole different story. . With a partner, she's upfront about her affection. Maybe its sultry whispers in their ear, or flirty gestures. Maddy is also a very flirtatious woman, and she isn't shameful about it. She thinks someone's hot? She's going to let them know. One of her favorite things to do is to flirt with her friends, getting as sultry as possible. She loves it when they do it back. It doesn't necessarily mean she's into them, but its just her nature. Maddy is incredibly observant, she always notices when someones in a bad mood or if something is off. This doesn't mean she'll try to cheer them up, though. She is quite intuitive, and is rarely wrong when she makes an assumption or feels like something isn't right. Madison can be viewed as an opinionated person. While she doesn't force her opinions onto others, she will voice them even if the person has a completely opposite view. She is a very patient and lenient person, she is the type of person to sit there and explain something to someone for the 100th time without snapping at them. She's the kind of friend who waits for you to tie your shoes while everyone else continues on. . Maddy is generally likes by most people she meets, but of course, there are people who dislike her. She will act like she doesn't care if someone dislikes her, but really, it hurts her. In her mind, she's a likeable person. Upon meeting new people, she is quiet but does try to make things less awkward and throw in some random comments. But with people she knows well and is close with, Maddy doesn't shut up. She will go on and on about the most random topics for hours. Maddy is calm, gentle, and relaxed. Perhaps its due to her constantly working with healthy friends, but she doesn't really make sudden movements or raise her voice. Its hard to get her to snap, although she does let her frustration show sometimes. Her touches and her movements are always soft and gentle as not to startle people, as well as her voice. . | ______ ° . ° ✡ ° . ° ______ | . Likes & Dislikes: Likes ⊕ Volleyball, It seems to be a family thing. Maddy learned how to play from Mal. ⊕ Reading, She's a book worm. But reading on the beach is something special. ⊕ The Beach, Well anything with water in general ⊕ Dogs, Unlike her cousin, the girl absolutely adores them. ⊕ Rainy Days, and what comes with them. Cozy blankets, reading, the dim light ⊕ Stargazing, its simply magical ⊕ Campfires, Smores, The Whole Experience. ⊕ The Ocean, She'd Go Swimming in it any day. . Dislikes ⊗ Arrogant People, Simply Just not her type. She'd rather not deal with them. ⊗ Cold Weather, She Likes Summer much more ⊗ Parties, She'll go to them once in a while, but don't expect her to be socializing with too many people ⊗ Cats, She's Allergic. ⊗ Small Spaces (Claustrophobia) ⊗ Untidyness, She's a very neat girl. And might just judge you based on how tidy your space is ⊗ Disrespect, She might just tell Mal. . | ______ ° . ° ✡ ° . ° ______ | . Familial Relations: Margarine Heiser (Mother) - To be completely honest, their relationship with each other has been strained lately. The young mother became pregnant with Maddy early in life on accident, and Maddys father wouldn't help out at all. The young mother just had her 38nd birthday which was exciting, but she also seems to pay more attention to Maddys cousins over her. Madison knows she loves her, but its tough to continue to believe that at times. Chelsea Heiser (Aunt) - Oh, Maddy absolutely adores her aunt. They have been keeping in contact ever since they first met when Maddy was 12 years old. Her aunt spoils her, just like her mother spoils her cousins. They are incredibly close and Chelsea would absolutely be the first person Maddy comes to if she ever had a question or problem to fix. William Heiser (Eldest Cousin) - The two met once. Last summer when he had come down from University to hang out for a couple weeks, he seemed chill. Maddy isn't sure if she likes or dislikes the guy, but she supposes any friend of Mal is a friend of hers. Emmaline Heiser (Cousin) - Absolute soulsisters. The two have known each other for who knows how long, she has to be Maddys best friend. They tell each other everything, from other friends drama, to love interests. They know all of each others secrets and are practically sisters. Cousins, whatever. Pretty much the same thing in their book! Affiliations: . | ______ ° . ° ✡ ° . ° ______ | . Character’s full name: Crew Evelyn Harris Sinclair Reason or meaning of name: Crew’s name stems from many familial ties, and most of them can be traced back many generations Character’s nickname: TBA Birth date: 5/27 Age: 22 Physical appearance: Crew is all white teeth, and big smiles. He is sunshine, warmth, and sandy beaches. He is a 6'2 bundle of blonde hair and muscles, and he is beautiful. His big green eyes are captivating, and something about the warmth found there draws people in. He has an athletic build, and uses it to his advantage in everything he can think of. His face is well-built, with a strong, square jaw, and high, sloping cheekbones. His eyes are not deep set, unlike his father's, and his dimples pop whether or not he is smiling, you can see that they are there. He doesn't wear glasses, nor does he wear contacts. The Sinclairs do not need to wear any sort of correction, because, from the outside, they are already perfect. Why would they need something so trivial? His skin is warm and tanned, he has no blemishes that are visible. The few scars he sports along his legs come from sports, and those were to be expected, of course. Crew was born to play sports. Back in Massachusetts, every fall, every break, every time not spent in school was to be spent in physical activity. Tennis, lacrosse, baseball. He is the epitome of a handsome young man from the East Coast, prepared to become everything he was meant to be. His most distinguishing marks are his stature, and his face. The Sinclairs have a very distinct way of look, that stems from generations of tall, blonde, happy people getting married, and having tall, blonde, happy children. Crew follows after these expectations perfectly, with his vigorous height, his cheerful nature, and then hair that is so unmistakable. These blond locks fall long over the summer, when he refuses to have it cut, and it will curl slightly around his ears, softening that clear-cut jawline. He rarely styles his hair, given the amount of time spent in the water, on the beach, or on various sports fields, why would he? It stays neatly out of his face for the most part, so he is satisfied. Crew's voice is rather low and smooth, and his enunciations are clear and precise. Every word is meant exactly as it is said, unless he is in a temperamental frame of mind. Overall, he is found attractive by the girls he knows, and he makes a point to keep it that way. He is the product of two of the wealthiest families on the East Coast.. Why shouldn't he be praised and adored? Treasured and doted upon? Crew dresses like a young gentleman for the most part. He will wear the proper tuxedos and polo shirts, the jumpers over button-down shirts, He will wear the ties as expected, his shirts buttoned all the way up his throat. But the summers are his, and his alone. Linen shorts and shirts find their moments, as do his less casual clothes. However, if he could truly have his way, he would be quite content to wear nothing but his swimsuit, and spend long summer evenings on tiny, secluded coves, sipping a whiskey and sour, soaking the last rays of the sun's warmth. Crew normally doesn't wear many accessories, but occasionally he will wear a simple, silver chain with his sisters' initials engraved on a small pendant. . Personality: Crew is ambitious and smart enough, and uses these to his advantage when he can. He is quick witted, and easy to laugh, but once he's formed an opinion, he is not willing to change it. He is stubborn and articulate, and loves to debate and argue, whether for fun, or if he means it. For the most part, he is curious and creative, and will listen well, especially if it might teach him something new, that he can use to look even more intelligent later. Crew is very adventurous, and is always ready to do something that could lead to danger or trouble. Risk-taking is a trait he is known for, and one his parents have tried time and time again to rid him of, to no avail. He is loyal to a point, but the moment he has a reason to distrust you, he will start to pull away. Despite this, Crew often comes off as arrogant and forgetful, which he tries to not show, but occasionally will surface. His impulsivity can lead to terrible consequences, and he never seems to take anything away from his failures. Some would see it as resilience, others more as pig-headedness. He is snarky, and his sharp tongue can often come off as more harsh than he intended. He is also very disorganised, and his rooms would be a wreck if it weren't for the help his parents inevitably employ. He has a very dry, dark sense of humour, which many people in the upper echelons of society do not understand, nor do they appreciate, which has gotten him into trouble many a time. His greatest joys in life are his athletic endeavours, and his two younger sisters. His greatest fear in life is losing his sisters, especially the one who is only a few years younger than him. He is most at ease when he is with his family, or with close friends, though occasionally he will close himself off if he doesn't know a lot of people. He prioritises his relationships above his academic career, and his academic career above his athletics. When he was younger, he struggled greatly with anxiety and depression, mostly stemming from the pressure of his parents, though he was put on medication for it when he was nine, and never looked back. Who cares if sometimes, he takes a few more pills than necessary? Who cares if he can't sleep at night without having a large alcoholic beverage, or some heavy duty meds? He certainly doesn't. It's perfectly normal, and he is perfectly fine. His life goals currently revolve around finishing college at Princeton, and taking on the family business, which he honestly isn't positive what is. His father prefers to not speak of his job with the family, especially in front of his wife. Crew also plans on continuing to play his favourite sports, and, if time allows, he is hoping to be able to travel around Europe with a group of his friends, or perhaps a partner. . Relationships: Mother (Rosamund Sinclair): Rosamund Sinclair married young, and married high. She was known for being a beauty, and carries on her family legacy with her well-known parties, clambakes, and any other reason to celebrate. She recently celebrated her fortieth birthday, and is having a hard time accepting that she is beginning to grow older. Despite her fluttery nature, she is a warm, maternal figure for all her children, and raised them well. Father (Preston Sinclair): Preston Sinclair is the polar opposite of his wife, especially in public. He is closed off, and keeps his feelings and business endeavours close to his chest. However, at Rosamund’s many parties, he takes time out of his busy schedule to socialise with her guests, and participates in any events she has planned. He tolerates his children, but none of them would ever say they feel particularly loved by their father. He rarely dines with them, and when the Sinclairs head to California for their summers, he does not accompany them. Siblings: -Kennedy Sinclair: Only two year younger than Crew, Kennedy Sinclair is everything she expected to be. A bright, blonde beauty, she is smart and sweet, and fun-loving. She and Crew get along like a house on fire, and when they were younger, were rarely seen without each other. Now, their interests have changed slightly, but they still hold quite an impressive sibling rivalry and affection for each other. Kennedy is planning on attending Harvard, and often helps her mother with the huge parties she throws. -Clementine Sinclair: Clementine is the youngest Sinclair, and a rainbow baby. Rosamund had wanted three children for a long time, but had suffered through multiple miscarriages after Kennedy. She began to lose hope around the time Crew was turning fifteen, but to everyone’s surprise, Clementine made her appearance ten days after her big brother turned sixteen. Now, at six years old, she is taking after her big sister, and any attention from her siblings is greeted with big smiles and joy. Despite her being the youngest, and a surprise, she is not treated with any more favour or affection than her siblings. . Pets: The Sinclair family has always had at least one dog, normally two or three. Right now, they are happily engaged with a Doberman pinscher, Cha-Cha, and a Golden Retriever, Dixie. Cha-Cha spends all his time at the East Coast house, but Dixie travels with the family. Edited at April 27, 2024 10:49 AM by The Tea Drinkers

-:- . -:- Emmaline (Mal) Heiser -:- . -:- . The morning had gotten off to a rough start. Mal had forgotten to set a timer for 5:00 in the morning when the family had planned to get on the road by 6:30. It was now almost 7 o'clock and from the tone of voice her mother was using, she didn't seem to happy about it as she called for Mal to hurry her butt downstairs. Shuffling noises coming from the room across of the young ladies room had met her ears as she swung her legs out of her bed. Walking to the door of her room Mal poked her head out, "Maddy- have you brought your bags downstairs?" She called. The black haired girl appeared in the other rooms doorway and nodded, a big smile on her face, "Yep! Do you need help getting yours down to the car? You have a tendency to pack...A lot." By the time Maddy had finished bringing down her cousins suitcases and bags, Emmaline had finished changing and doing her makeup. Mal finished typing up her hair before stepping to the side to look herself over in the giant mirror that hung on her wall. . The girl had decided on something comfortable for the trip, as they would be on the road for a couple hours to get to the beach house. Mal had changed from her pajamas to some simple light blue denim shorts and a white crop top, making sure to rub on some sunscreen before she had finished. Her makeup was on the simpler side today, being more of a natural look with a bolder eyeliner. She nodded to the reflection before grabbing her purse and sliding on her white sandals, quickly heading down the spiral staircase of the second floor to the first, where commotion from the kitchen seemed to be happening. Emmalines mother, Chelsea, was packing up a lunch for the road and Mal couldn't help but smile. "Mom- we can just get something on the road." She walked to the woman's side. Her mom turned to face her, "Well look who's finally up, get some breakfast and we'll get going." Emmaline let out a small sigh before reaching above her to a cabinet, opening it and grabbing a granola bar. Walking to the giant window in front of the houses dining table she looked out to the car, from the looks of it Maddy had finished packing in her stuff and it seemed Mal's mom had packed her stuff up the night before. She supposed it had been a smart choice... . Breakfast had been quick but it should be enough for four hours on the road, and if a granola bar wouldn't settle her hunger than they had some food in the trunk. Everybody was now inside the car, getting settled and checking to make sure they had everything. Mal was listing items off in the front seat and her cousin was making sure everything was there in the back. If they did end up not bringing something, they could probably call William to drove it over to the beach, and if not he could at least ship it to them. The car engine started up and everyone buckled in, Mal had scrolled through her phone to find the road trip playlist she had made a week or so ago for the trip, connecting it to the car and pressing play as the car hit the highway. Emmaline had been scrolling through her phone when she came across pictures of previous summers at the Sinclair Beach House, pictures of her and the family's only son, Crew, popped up. Multiple of them on the beach, pictures of them with their friends at parties and such. It brought a smile to her face, and she really did hope Maddy would have a good time there as well. As this was only the second time her cousin had come along on a big summer trip like this one. Mal knew it wasn't under the best circumstances, Maddys mother having to send her along with them for some time alone and to find a job, but the two had always been able to find fun together. So Emmaline didn't see why that would be any different this summer.

Crew stared out the window of the plane, feeling the cabin sway slightly. He wrinkled his nose, and turned to his sister who was sitting next to him, half asleep. "Kennedy," he murmured, nudging her arm off the armrest. "Sit up. You can almost see the house. You can definitely see the water." The young lady sat up, yawning, and swiped at her sleepy eyes as she leaned over her brother to peer out the small, round window. Normally, the Sinclairs did not believe in spending lots of money on the actual traveling part of their adventures, but when it involved flying, they *always* took a private jet from Massachusetts, and flew into the LAX airport. Dixie was wandering the cabin, and Crew called her over, keeping half an eye on his mother and youngest sister, who were on the other side of the plane. Clementine was fully asleep, her small frame sprawled across the seat, blonde curls messy and all up in her face. His mother was mostly occupied by her phone, probably planning some sort of party for the beginning of their summer vacation. Crew rubbed his sleepy eyes, pushing Kennedy back into her seat. They had gotten up while it was still dark so they would have half of the day once they arrived in California. He had gotten up even earlier so he could pack, and help his mother get the piles of suitcases, the dog, and his very grumpy sisters into the car with less trouble. Now, as the plane began it's descent, the younger girls started to fully wake up, and Crew turned his attention to thinking about the last few summers spent in the sprawling home on the West Coast. He pulled out his phone, scrolling back to find the album from all their summers there. He frowned at the first pictures, all the way back when he was seven, missing multiple teeth, and looking like a mess. Even worse, Kennedy was looking like a child super model, and that just made it even worse. He rolled his eyes, going to the bottom of the album. These were the more recent pictures, and he studied the last one that he had at all. It was clearly late evening, on one of the beaches, they all really looked the same to him. But on it, he was standing with his two sisters, one on either side. He hadn't really looked at it, but he remembered the night. They had all gone down to the beach, and messed around for just hours. It had been getting late, and on the way back, he had asked a random stranger to take the picture. He looked happy in, tanned and lean, his hair messed up from the salt waves and the easy evening breeze. He hadn't bothered to look at it that night, because of how exhausted he was, and then the Sinclairs had left the day after. His excitement grew, and he sat back in his seat, the anticipation of another amazing summer growing. . Half an hour, they were off the plane, and at the house, attempting to unpack, but everything was falling to pieces. Rosamund was tired and stressed, and wanted everything to look perfect. Clementine, thanks to her nap, was wide awake and energetic, and really just wanted to run around and play with someone. Kennedy was still grouchy from getting up early, and wanted to go out to the beach, and get an iced coffee. Crew was really just trying to keep the peace, and he took a moment to pull his thoughts together. He called Dixie and Clementine and sent them out to the backyard to play, and speed unpacked the kitchen, then told his mother to take a nap, he was going to take the girls out for a drink. At first Rosamund fought back, she wanted to keep cleaning up and getting all her clothes out, but he finally convinced her, and loaded his sisters into the car, heading down to get Kennedy her coffee. It only took a few minutes before they were back, Clementine with a fruity smoothie, now content to play with the dog in the backyard, Kennedy going back to dozing on the couch, and Crew keeping an eye out for both girls, but also half-watching a baseball game on the TV.

-:- . -:- Madison (Maddy) Heiser -:- . -:- . Sitting in the back of the car on the road trip was probably one of the smartest decisions Maddy could have made today. The young lady had gotten up earlier than her Aunt and Cousin, her clock being set for 4:00 in the morning. The reason? Well, to have enough time to get all of her stuff put together, get changed, eat a decent sized breakfast and set up the back seats to her liking. Maddy hadn't put too much thought into her clothing items for today, as she'd probably just change into a bathing suit the exact time they got to the beach house. She had simply put on a dark gray skirt, it having a nice pair of the same colored shorts built into it. She had pulled on a white tank top, tucking the extra fabric into the skirt so it gave her a clean look. She had also clipped her hair up, being well aware that it could get hot outside quite easily in Cali. The young lady had eaten a healthy breakfast consisting of a banana and toast with avocado and a sunny side up egg on top. By that time, it had been about 6:00 and she was fixing up the two back seats to her liking, laying down a cushioned blanket over them with plenty of pillow to get comfortable, as well as books and her earpods. . Maddy didn't completely know what to expect from the Sinclair's Beach House, she had met the father of the three kids at a gathering with her mother there with her. But she couldn't remember any time she had met anyone else in the family, and wondered if the children would be like their father. He had been polite and quite...proper, and it seemed to her like the family was well known and quite a bit wealthy. But from what her Aunt and Cousin's had said about the rest of the family, they seemed like people she could befriend if she wanted to. Mal had especially been speaking of the eldest child and only boy, what was his name...? Crew? Yes, that must be it. She had shown her pictures of them and described their times together in previous summers, he seemed interesting to say the least. Maddys eyes trailed the trees quickly passing by out the window she was leaning on, and how the trees slowly turned into the looks of buildings, sea birds flying above them, woth some French artist playing in her earpods. "Welcome To Manhattan Beach!" her eyes read a sign as they drive into the town full of beach houses. Palm trees and other beach plants were spread around, people in their bathing suits walking down to the beach and out of their houses. . "Alright girls, we should be pulling up soon. Be ready to get your belongings, we don't want our hosts to feel the need to take in our things." Aunt Chelsea spoke, A smile was clear in her tone though. Emmaline was practically about to jump out of her seat the moment the sign had been passed, her eyes brightening and a smile beaming on her lips. "Oh Maddy, I'll have to show you around! Well- first I'll introduce you to Crew and his sisters of course." Her cousin called back to her, excitement clear in her voice, "And then we can change and head down to the beach! There's volleyball nets set up so we can play, if you want to." Madison smiled back up at her, "That sounds perfect, Mal." It really did, and the girl couldn't wait until the sun started setting this evening, and it didn't seem too long, as it was already about 1 o'clock in the afternoon. . The first thing Maddy noticed about the house as the car pulled into the driveway was she sheer size of the place. It was huge! The beach house had a modern look to it, with a couple patios that looks over the town with the ocean in the backyard. The car hadn't even stopped when Emmaline had jumped out of the car, rushing to the back to quickly unpack her items. Maddy exited the vehicle next, along with her Aunt, quickly jogging around back to help out. While bringing out the suitcases Maddy looked over, "You didn't tell me the house was this big...! How loaded are these folks?" She asked, her mouth practically still fallen open as she looked back to the mini mansion of a house. All Mal did was giggle, shaking her head after unloading one of the last packages onto the pavement, "Oh, they are loaded." Aunt Chelsea pipped up, "I just texted Mrs.Sinclair that we've arrived. Be on your best behavior girls."

Crew had been trying his best to stay awake, and it was going poorly. He was warm and full, and Kennedy wasn't being loud and annoying, and Clementine was content to play with Dixie close to the house, and his mother was sleeping. Unfortunately, his peace didn't last long. Only a few minutes after he had settled into a chair, his mother came bustling back in, looking frantic. "They're almost here!" she said, already trying to tidy up the house. He groaned, and stood up, trying to still her nervous movements without acting overbearing. "Ma," he said slowly. "They stay here every year. They've seen you at your worst, and at your best. Calm down." Rosamund sighed, but calmed down enough to not stress out her children, and instead went to the kitchen to start making lemonade. Crew heard a car door slam, and then voices outside in the driveway, and his mother immediately appeared from the kitchen, smoothing her dress, and squared her shoulders. She told Crew to wrangle his siblings, and bring them out front to be introduced to the new girl. Crew frowned, slightly confused, but went to get Clementine from the backyard. . Mrs. Sinclair went out to greet the family, and Crew made sure that the girls didn't look completely awful. *Be a credit to the family...* the familiar phrase drifted around in his head, and he rolled his eyes, catching Clementine's hands. She was not in a good mood anymore, and Kennedy was being no help. She was attempting to fix her pretty blonde locks, and tease Crew all at the same time. Not sure what else to do, he scooped Clementine up, and headed outside, the little girl content to be held. He felt like aa mother, his little sister on his hip, trying to herd Kennedy out in front of him, but he loved them both too much to complain. Rosamund was already partially through the pleasantries, but when she saw her children, she brightened further, clearly proud of her three offspring. Crew walked over to stand slightly behind her, smiling brightly, mostly to humor his mother. He surreptitiously stabbed Kennedy in the ribs so she would match his bright grin, and Clementine hid her face in her brother's neck, shy and upset at all the newcomers. Mrs. Sinclair rested a hand on Crew's shoulder, most of her attention on the one girl that wasn't familiar to him. "These are my children," she was saying. "My eldest, Crew, and Kennedy, and Clementine is the one hiding. Crew is partway through college, he's turning 23 in a couple days," she said. Each one in turn gave a wave or some acknowledgment of their name, and waited while their mother gave a quick run down of ages and accomplishments, and before the knew it, she was catching Mrs. Heiser's arm, and ushering her inside. Crew didn't wait for the situation to get awkward, and he ran his free hand through his thick blond locks. "Let me help you get your bags inside," he said smoothly, gathering up a few things to take inside, and followed the girls inside, making sure they headed up to the bedrooms before he went back out to collect more things. . He was already forming opinions, although he wasn't proud of it. He already knew Emmaline, he'd known her for years, but somehow, this summer seemed different. She seemed so much...older, more mature. As for her cousin, she seemed very odd. More quiet, closed off. At least with him, which was valid, he decided. He was a random stranger to them. Crew carried a couple bags into the kitchen, and couldn't help but smile at the two older women already chattering away. Kennedy followed him into the kitchen, a frown creasing her forehead, and he matched her look, upset that she was upset. "What's wrong?" He asked, trailing behind her into the main sitting room. "I don't like that cousin," she whispered, and Crew pinched her arm, covering Clementine's ears. "Don't say that," he hissed. "They're gonna be here all summer, and you just have to get over it." Kennedy rolled her eyes. "I'm allowed to have opinions," she whined. "Yes," he conceded, "but not ones out loud, especially when they're like that," he argued. She waved her hand dismissively, and Crew frowned, but quickly fixed his face when the girls walked back in. "Do you ladies have plans already?" He asked breezily, trying to make sure that Kennedy's opinions never got to their ears.

-:- . -:- Emmaline (Mal) Heiser -:- . -:- . As the young man made sure the two girls made it to the correct rooms in the house, Mal couldn't help but notice the unsure glances around the place Maddie was giving off and how she picked at her nails, a habit Emmaline had noticed her cousin did whenever she was anxious or nervous about something. Mal tried putting it off as though it was normal, which it was. Wasn't it? Being in a new place with complete strangers is nerve racking for other people sometimes, and she had to remind herself that. While making a mental note to check up on her cousin later, the two were shown to their own rooms by Crew and his younger sister Kennedy. Mal turned into her room, the familiar appearance sending a small realization that this was actually happening. She was back at the beach for the entire summer... The young woman thanked Crew as he set down the bags he had graciously brought up for her, setting the suitcase she had brought up on top of the queen sized beds mattress. As both the boy and his sister went downstairs to retrieve the rest of the bags, Mal let out a sigh, her eyes scanning over the good bit of work she had brought with her. Really- she should learn to pack only the essentials. . Emmaline had only just started unpacking her bathroom and makeup supplies when a knock was heard on her bedroom door. "Mal? Do you have a minute?" Her cousins voice made the blonde haired girl turn, her brow raised slightly before she got back to work, "Yeah, what's up?" "I- well, you've known these people for a long time, but how would I go about..." A small smile appeared on Mal's lips as she turned her head slightly to the other girl, "Just be yourself. It sounds cliche, but also just relax. You'll be fine, Maddy." With a small nod her cousin plopped herself on the neatly covered bed, letting out a long sigh. Mal finished up sorting out her makeup into the drawers of a lighted seating area near the window, which she decided to open to let some of that fresh, beachy air in. She stood up, making her way to the first smaller black suitcase she had rolled up the stairs with her, unzipping it to reveal a small part of the clothes she had brought. She had packed maybe this small one and two bigger ones...? Maybe? Who knew at this point, she went overboard with packing. . As Emmaline opened the dresser, she started sorting the drawers by articles of clothing, the shorts and skirts in one drawer, pants in another, the tops and hoodies that would be in a suitcase that would soon be brought up would go in the last drawer. And of course, all of her feminine essentials in the very top drawer, her dresses would be hanged in the small walk in closet on the side of her room. While Maddy was laying on the bed scrolling through her phone, Mal wondered if she had finished packing, if not, she supposed she would help her out with that later this evening... A distant chatter came from the hallway outside her room, she didn't question it much, as Crew then walked in with the rest of her bags. "Ah, thank you-" she gave him a faint smile, her eyes glancing to his sister as she then smiled at her. She took the bags and placed them on her bed, Maddys half annoyed groan made Mal chuckle to herself as the two bags pushed their way inbetween them. . Emmaline's attention focused back onto Crew, nodding slowly at his words before speaking up. "Uhm, yes actually. We were hoping to head down to the beach sometime later this evening, if possible." She asked in an almost questioning tone. A long pause came after, "Oh, and thank you for bringing our bags up. You didn't need to," she chuckled, shaking her head slightly.

Crew nodded slowly, trying to pay attention to them, as well as keep his sisters in line, which wasn't going well. Clementine wasn't heavy, but she was sort of awkward to hold, especially for him, and Kennedy was being pouty and all around, not a good host. He listened carefully as she explained where they wanted to go, and what they wanted to do the first day there. The house had a good deal of beachfront property, so that wouldn't cause any problems, he didn't think. However, his mother didn't like it when only a few people went down. She was paranoid that someone was going to drown, which he supposed was a valid concern. Back in Massachusetts, both he and Kennedy had nearly drowned, but they had been much younger then, and they had not been supervised. Nonetheless, he wasn't about to fight his mother on rules that she was already steadfast upon, so he smiled, and moved Clementine to his other hip. "That sounds lovely," he said absentmindedly, trying to get Kennedy off her phone with just a look. "Emmaline, you do remember the rules, right? It has to be three or more people, if you're over twenty. If there's someone younger than that, it has to be more." He really only restated the rule for the new girl. Maddy, he reminded himself. "You could take Kennedy, if you want?" he offered, but to his dismay, that was the moment Kennedy chose to disentangle herself from her phone. He watched her big, blue eyes widen with slight horror, and she shifted slightly uncomfortably. Crew forced a neutral look on his face, and caught Kennedy's arm. "Excuse us for a minute," he said. "Take your time to settle in, and maybe throw your suits on. I'm going to take Clemmy down to the beach with Kennedy, so the rule will be irrelevant if you end up coming down." . He hauled Kennedy from the room, and his smile faded as he took her back over to their rooms on the other side of the house. The whole house was done to be beachy and modern, and Kennedy and Clementine's room was no different. The walls were painted light blue, and the statement wall was a sunset beach theme. Crew plopped Clementine down on the bed, and instructed her to go find her swimsuit. While she scrambled off to find it, he used some choice words with his other sister, trying to really drive home the point. He didn't give two shits whether or not she was happy with the newcomer, she had no right to be rude. Finally, she relented, and also went to find her swimsuit. Hot, sweaty, and now frustrated, Crew stomped to his room, and snatched up the first swimsuit he could find. The suit was teal, with little pineapples on it, and he honestly hated it, but he wasn't about to take the time to find it. His mind wandered while he peeled off his sweaty shirt, back to the girls. In his opinion, he still preferred Emmaline's presence. He knew her better, she was brighter, more out there. Her charm had him somewhat bewitched. Her cousin seemed nice, but utterly close off from him. Finally, he collected his siblings, and yelled to his mother that they were heading down to their beach property. Kennedy had clearly chosen her outfit with the intention of trying to look simultaneously like a slut and a model. Her white string bikini was quietly showing off almost every bit of her skin, and the tiny coverup didn't do anything to help. Crew frowned at her, and threw a towel at her, turning his attention back to Clementine. Together, they walked down to the beach, and Crew relaxed slightly. He sprawled on one of the beach chairs, his little sister sitting next to him, making sandcastles. Kennedy connected her phone to the little beach cabana's speakers, and soft music started to play. The sounds of the breeze, the waves, and his sister's soft breathing lulled him, and he covered his eyes with his arm, half asleep, his bare skin beginning to tan in the hot California sun. Kennedy seemed to have calmed slightly, and she was quiet, letting him rest for a few minutes.
