Name: Bodhi Kazan Ariti 𝓂𝑒𝒶𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔: 𝐵𝓁𝑒𝓈𝓈𝑒𝒹 𝒶𝓌𝒶𝓀𝑒𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔 (very ironic, I know) Age: 16 Gender: Male Pronouns: he/him Sexuality*: Bisexual, with a slight preference for women Appearance: Despite his human nature, Bodhi walks with an aura of a demon, or some other dark and unsettling form. When walking the streets, he is often avoided by young ones, and even some of the older children hang back at his seemingly ghastly presence. His skin is pale, almost deathly so, and despite nearly every moment of the day he walks the streets, but the sun seems to barely touch his ghostly flesh. His porcelain skin is something he prizes, obsesses over, even. He takes great care to keep his hands unmarred as possible. His back is nearly covered in scars, but he never speaks of where he gained these. He seems to thrive in the moonlight, when he stalks the streets, seeming even more devilish than he does in the sun. His eyes are the colour of bitter coffee, dark, and unyielding, framed by strangely feminine eyelashes. He has high cheekbones, and a jawline sharp enough to cut diamonds. His dark hair is cut raggedly, longer on the top, and cut close around his skull on the sides. He has a lean, muscular build, and stands around 5'10. His shorter stature leaves people uneasy, wondering if his height is going to leave him at a disadvantage to them, or whether he will use it against them. He often speaks in a low, raspy voice, which doesn't quite seem to match his face, nor his age. His lips are round and full, a dusky rose colour. Despite the fact that they are often turned down in a frown, when he does smile, it lights up his whole face, causing one small dimple in his left cheek to appear. He is rather self-conscious of this feature, and this is a tiny part of the reason he normally chooses to keep his emotions hidden. Bodhi dresses quite classily, in dark fabrics, often accentuated with gold or silver designs stitched in, such as paisleys (his personal favorite), roses, and feathers. These threads are usually hidden amongst the dark ones, causing the light to seemingly sparkle off the black and dark grey threads, which adds an air of mystery that he likes quite a bit. He has a tattoo on the back of his neck, a crow in flight, and a tiny sun on his right thumb. He has no piercings or any other man made marks upon his body, besides his scars. He normally stays as covered up as he can, in suits to rival Armani. Bodhi is rather broody, and often his face shows no emotion, besides a bit of a frown. He walks with a slight limp, due to a childhood injury, and is highly irritated at this. He tries to act as though it doesn’t pain him at all, but once one knows him well, it is easy to catch the slight grimaces, and flashes of pain in his eyes. Personality: Bodhi isn't really that well known by anyone. He's mostly closed off, and those who don't know him well are eager to spread rumors. Often described as cold and ruthless, Bodhi is willing to do almost any job for the right amount of money. He is rather manipulative and conniving, and is keen to let others know that he is in control of any situation. He is quick witted, and always has a trick up his sleeve, unless he's with someone he trusts with his life. He isn't a huge fan of trust, and will exploit almost anyone for his gain. Despite this, he is fiercely loyal to those he does love and trust, and once his trust is gained, it is not easily broken. Bodhi is normally aloof and indifferent, hiding his true emotions behind a cool façade. However, he holds grudges close to his heart, and vengeance is practically his hobby. There isn't much you can do to rattle him, besides strong emotions. If someone is crying, or honestly feeling anything too strongly in front of him, he gets skittish and unwieldy. This stems mostly from his traumatic childhood, and he struggles with the fact that he doesn't really feel anymore. One of Bodhi's biggest fears is mirrors. As a child, he learned to dislike his own appearance, and although he takes great pride in it now, he prefers to do as much of it as possible. This fears also comes from his uneasiness with how mirrors distort images, making him on edge with how appearances are not always what they seem. Bodhi sometimes comes off as paranoid and lost in his own mind, he is good at riddles, problem solving, and is quite the perfectionist. When he finds his crowd, he is slightly more easy going, but for the most part, he prefers to be left with those select few, rather than in a group setting. Backstory*: WIP Likes: -dark clothes -money- -riddles- -sleight of hand- -knives- -poisons- -foxglove- Dislikes: -mirrors- -emotions- -bright light- -overly cheerful people- -deep water- Theme Song or Quote*: Some Nights by fun. It was just the start of a beautiful summer, the sun was shining down on Matt, making his honey eyes glow. He was in the passenger seat of his mother's car, his sister was in the back and his dad was driving the moving truck behind them. A horse trailer was attached to the back of his mom's car, it was holding a black Mustang named Raven, Matt's horse. They have been driving for quite some time, they even had to stop at a hotel last night to get some rest. This whole thing was hard for Matteo to process, and having a horse made it much harder. A couple more hours of driving went by and they arrived at the new house around noon. It was such a relief but there was still so much that needed to be done, getting everything inside, unpacking, and bringing Raven to the stables in town. Raven was what he was worried about, he wanted to get her to a stable and get her some food and water where she could be comfortable, though it would take her some time to adjust probably. The nearest stables was called Silver Creek Stables. To Matt, it seemed good from the photos he had seen online. Matteo registered Raven for one of the stables on the phone so nothing else was on his plate moving day. As they pulled up to the driveway and came to a stop, Matt unbuckled his seat belt and got out of the car. "Finally." He sighed as he quickly made his way to the horse trailer. "Don't worry girl, as soon as most of the stuff is inside I will be bringing you to your stable." Matteo said to Raven, petting her nose and head softly. Matt didn't pet her for long, he made his way to the moving truck as soon as it was parked. All the furniture, then box after Box, and the occasional garbage bag, everything was inside. "Mom I'm going to bring Raven to the stables now, I really don't want her being in there for long." Matt said with slight worry in his voice as he looked over at the mare. "That's fine, I'll go get your dad to move the moving truck out of your way." Cassandra replied and threw her car keys at him. Matteo caught the keys and just nodded his head before making his way to his mother's car. He started the car and then waited for the driveway to be cleared. Once the coast was clear, Matt began to reverse and then he was on his way. It took him about 5 minutes to get there. He parked the closest he could to the horse stables. He smiled at the sight and made his way to Raven. "Okay girl, we're here." He said as he sighed out of relief. He quickly unlocked the trailer door and got her halter on. With a click of the tongue, he led her out of the trailer and straight away made his way to the stables. Once they got into the barn, he looked on both sides, looking for her stable. The guy who owns the stables said that he would put a nametag on the one that's hers. "Aha" He said quietly as he spotted Ravens stable. He opened the stable door and led the mare in.

Bodhi had lived in the town of Clearwater Bay for three years now, and he still hated it with a burning passion. It wasn't a big town, and the only good part was the stables. He loved the barns, and went there often, secretly enjoying the sweet smell of hay, the distinct tang of horse. His family was well off, so he was able to keep a couple horses at a time. Right now, he had an older mare, and a young stallion that he was working with, hoping to be able to turn it into a good riding horse. His brother, Jordan, also had a couple of horses there, but now that he was in college, he didn't go and see them often. Bodhi's younger sister, Rosella, had one mare, and loved her more than life itself. He got in his low slung sports car, and drove to the stables, flicking a piece of his dark hair out of his eyes, making his way inside. Oblivious to everything happening, he barely paused at the stall to grab a halter, and walked out into the fields, whistling for his mare. The horse trotted over, and he let a rare smile flash across his face, patting the equine's strong jaw. "Hello, darling," he said softly, patting her lean, arching neck. The horse was named Lazy Days on The Danube. Bodhi had always had a flair for the dramatic, and when he'd come across the name, he'd fallen in love. However, around the stables, the horse was know simply as Danube, or occasionally Danny. The young man led the high stepping equine back into the barn, absentmindedly going through the motions. He hooked the cross ties to the halter, and dropped his bag of supplies besides the horse, softly chattering to her to keep both of them calm and at ease. He pulled out brushes and picks, cleaning her up, and carefully moved around Danube, studying the easy going movements of the mare. Then he moved on to something that he would never admit that he enjoyed: prettying her up. He glossed her hooves weekly, and now, he fed her a supplement, and started braiding her mane, intricate twists turning into hearts, and tiny silver and black beads glistened in her light hair. Danube was a beautiful Appaloosa, with wonderful bloodlines, and had cost Bodhi quite the pretty penny, but she was worth it. He leaned closed to her, smoothing out the last twist, which completed the look. As an afterthought, he patted her rump, and did a tiny braid down partway, hanging a tiny moon bead on the end. He smiled, and slipped her halter off, replacing it with a gilt bridle, and her shiny back was soon covered with a black saddle pad, and saddle. Bodhi studied the arenas, both were empty, but the inside one was the one he preferred. However, he was feeling too lazy to ride just yet, so he patted one of the barn cats, and watched the people moving around the stables.

"Okay Raven, Once your stuff is set up I have to leave." Matteo spoke to the mare. He loved talking to her, especially when nobody was around, even if she didn't quite understand. Matt looked around as he closed the stable door, locking the mare in for now. There weren't too many people in the barn, one boy caught his eye though. He was quite pale with dark features. Matteo didn't look at the boy for long. He looked around the barn slightly before making his way back to the car. He had one big box of all her stuff and her saddle in the back of the trailer since it was bigger. He grabbed the saddle first and put it on top of the box from the car before picking it all up. Matteo made his way back to the barn a bit slower with all the added weight, it was nothing he couldn't handle though and he didn't want to make two trips. He set the box down as soon as he got to Raven's stable. He got out a hanging storage bag and hung it on the wall beside the stable door. He then placed everything he could, leaving out all of her tack. He put all of her tack into the box and walked down the barn, keeping his eyes peeled for a tack room. He spotted that same guy he had seen earlier but was quick to look elsewhere and not pay any attention to him. Once he spotted the tack room, he walked in and looked around. He went to an empty space and hung up all of the tacks. He hoped nobody would touch his tack since he didn't have a set spot and nametag yet, he would have to make a nametag when he got home and he would also have to customize Raven's door better. Those both were projects for later though. Matteo picked up the empty cardboard box with one hand and left the tack room. It was now time to fill her food and water before he left, then he would be stuck with unpacking for the rest of the day. He went back to Raven's stable and poured the rest of her food into the food bucket that was already in the stall. He needed to buy more food now, he didn't buy some before he left because he knew he would have just enough by the time they get to the new town. Matt then stood there for a moment as he looked at the water bucket. "Fuck." He said under his breath. Since he hasn't been here at all, he doesn't know where he could fill up her water bucket. He then looked over to where the boy was before, stressing slightly. Thank god the boy was still there, He thought as he started to walk up to him. "Hey, where is the hose to fill up my horse's water bucket, I'm new." Matteo said as soon as he got close enough to the boy and made eye contact. He brought his hand up to his head and scratched it. There was a slight worry on his face because he knew she must be thirsty.

He was still preoccupied with the finishing touches on the mare, and barely noticed a boy hurrying around inside the stables. He did, however, notice his sister, who wandered over to talk with him. "Hey, she said cheerfully. "Did you drive over?" He nodded, already knowing she had a follow up question. "Perfect!" She said, "Mom dropped me off. You can drive me home." Bodhi sighed, but reluctantly agreed to let her ride home with him, and he watched her scurry off into the pastures. Rosella was the polar opposite of him: she had bright, blonde hair, shiny blue eyes, and a bubbly, enigmatic personality. The only reason some people guessed that they were siblings was their one shared feature, beautiful porcelain pale skin. She had just turned fifteen...or was it sixteen. Guilt flashed across Bodhi's face. He wished he could remember, but he didn't want to ask her, it would only hurt her feelings. He sighed, and shook his head, turning his attention back to Danube. He patted her newly exposed neck, flicking a speck of dirt of her bridle. Bodhi truly did love the mare more than life itself, and although he couldn't express it in words, she was his lifeline. All his horses were, they had saved his family from ruin many times. He glanced into the stables, watching Rosella scurry past that boy who'd been there earlier. He frowned deeply, not wanting his sister talking to strangers, but to his relief, she hurried past, not even looking at the new boy. Bodhi's frown and confusion deepened as he watched the boy put food in the stalls, and was about to walk over, but then the boy started walking towards him, so he waited patiently, leaning lazily on the fence. He listened as the boy sputtered out his question, and pointed with one hand, using the other to gently steer the boy's shoulder to point towards one of the outer walls of the barn. "Spigot's right there, help yourself. It should be cold. Leave it running for a couple minutes if the cats come over." He hesitated, but felt it was his duty to say something, so he coughed slightly, and held the other boy's gaze. "I know you're new here, so I don't want to sound rude, but you don't feed your horse right now. There's a schedule, we feed them in the mornings, and the evenings. There's a feed room in the back, and you'll be put on the rotation to come in every one in a while to help feed them. In the summer, horses are allowed only fly spray and fly masks, and spend all time not ridden in the pastures. In the winter, they're allowed blankets, and spend the nights in the barn. If you want to feed your equine a supplement, you have to fill out a form, and get it approved. Oh, and your horse won't go in the main pastures yet, but you probably already know that." Bodhi finally caught his breath after the long spiel, but he was used to saying it, given that he was almost always there, and was usually the one to introduce new riders to the rest of the usual clan at the barn.

Matt stood there, his eyes slightly widened from all the information he had just been told. It was a lot for him right now, causing him to stress more. "Well, Im not going to let her starve, we came here from hours away and I didn't get the chance to feed her this morning." Matteo replied kind of snippy. He gave a annoyed smile before turning around. His brow furrowed and the annoyed smile left his face. Matt knew it was probably just his job to let new comers know all of that information, so he tried his best not to be rude about it. Matteo returned to Raven's stall and grabbed her water bucket. He walked down to the faucet and turned it on, putting the bucket underneath. He leaned against the wall and let out a sigh. Pulling out his phone, he checked the time and figured once he got back he would be done unpacking by midnight. He popped his phone back into his shorts pocket and looked down at the waterbucket. He made sure no cats were coming before shutting the faucet off. He then picked up the heavy water filled bucket and made his way back to Raven's stall. Once he set the bucket into place, Raven immediately started drinking from it. A small smile formed on Matt's lip as he watched the mare drink, though he felt kind of bad since the trip was very long. He pet Angel's neck and mane as he watched her drink. "Okay Angel, I got to get back, I will see you later or tomorrow morning." Matteo said quietly, giving her a quick kiss on the head before leaving her stall. Before he made his way back home he made sure Raven had everything set. "Food, water, tack and everything else is good." Matteo quietly said to himself. He then looked quickly went through her storage bag attached to her stall. He grabbed the empty cardboard box, giving a quick glance to the boy he had spoken to earlier before turning around. Walking down to the car he looked around, it was pretty and he was liking it so far. Matteo just couldn't wait for everything to be settled in. Matteo broke down the cardboard box and tossed it in the backseat before hopping in. He then took a moment to think before starting the car. He knew it was going to take a while to adjust, because it was all so new and it was much different from the stables he was at before. He started the car and made his way back home. Back at the house, Matteos family had gotten most things unpacked, but truly they were worn out and needed time to rest. Matt wanted to get all of his things unpacked though, no matter how tired he was, he wanted his room to feel like home as quick as possible. He gave back the car keys to his mom before going to his room to unpack. Thry all didn't bring much with them, it would have been a lot harder if they had to do two trips with the moving truck but luckily they didn't have to. Matteo opened a box and started unpacking. Bodhi's jaw tightened, and he bit his cheek to keep from snapping at the new boy. He was internally grateful that he hadn't bothered to introduce himself, and turned away. Danube nuzzled his arm, and he forced a smile for her, but leaned into her neck, taking the weight of his pained leg. His mood had been killed, and he didn't want to ride anymore, so instead, he called over Rosella. She was happy to have any attention on her, which made him even more guilty. The Ariti parents were very well off, but didn't really care much about their children. Well, except Jordan. Bodhi frowned deeply, and sat down on the mounting block, watching his sister ease Danube into a trot. Jordan was the eldest, and the golden child. He'd done everything just right, and his parents couldn't help but be proud of him. When their two younger children didn't measure up to Jordie, they had stopped even trying. Danube had a high, loping trot, and Bodhi watched lazily as Rosella moved her body to move in on sync with the equine. She looked happy and at peace, and he noticed that she was also chattering to the horse. He thought briefly about his project horse, he really should do *something* with him...but he was already tired, and he and Rosella had feed duty that night, so it wasn't worth it. He'd come in early the next day. After a half hour, Danube was well worked, and the two split up: Bodhi to take his mare back and get her untacked, Rosella to go get the feed cart. They met at the front barn, and both took one side of the stable, reading the name off the container, slipping into the stalls, and dumping the feed in, then plopping the containers back in. Then, they spread out into the pastures, and collected all the horses, leading them in to eat. They repeated the process in the back barn, and then headed to the feed room. It smelled sweet and earthy, and they worked slower, reading the charts, but for the most part, going off memory. They dug deep into the huge bins of grain, creating the perfect mix for each horse, tossing in supplements or other things when necessary. Then, all horses were turned back out into the pasture to enjoy the warm summer days. When Bodhi got to Raven's stall, he frowned, his mood dampened by remembering the boy. Nonetheless, he tossed a halter on and led the horse out to a smaller pasture, where it would be alone for a bit, until the owners of the stables talked to the owner of the horse, made sure its vaccinations were up to date, and then they'd make a joint decision as to where it would go. He patted its neck, and walked away, hanging the halter back on the stall. Rosella met him at the doors of the stables, and he flashed her a tired smile, heading out to his car. It was late, and they were hungry, so he drove through some fast food place, and then they headed home, each splitting off to their own room. "Rosie," he called. "I'm going to the barn at 6 AM sharp tomorrow. You wanna come?" She nodded, and he grinned, heading off to shower and go to bed.
