Appearance
Josephine is a pretty young woman, although her beauty is something seen only by certain standards. She's a smaller woman, standing at a height of 5'2 and having a smaller stature. She has small, narrow shoulders and arms that are slightly muscular from farm work. Her legs are long and nicely toned, which she often likes to show off. Josephine is not quite the dainty feminine woman that people often look for, but she's not that far off. She doesn't really look like she's built for farm work, but then again, neither does her mother. Her curves are there, but they may not be the most noticeable thing. Her waist curves softly into her hips, which are a little wide set but not too wide for her frame.
Josephine is fairly proportional, with a small ribcage and a chest side that isn't too big nor too small for her size. Overall, she's built like your average young woman with a few little quirks. Her skin is a little tanned, although pale on the shoulders and the upper thighs. Scars are abundant, ranging from little cat scratches to jagged gashes. They are littered throughout her body. On the back of her right hand is a jagged scar, slightly raised up and a pinkish tone that stands out from the rest of her skin.
Josephine has long, wavy dirty blonde hair. One could argue that it's just blonde, or that it's brown and not even considered blonde. Some strands are a lighter blonde, some are a light brown mixed with darker browns. It really depends on the lighting. It falls to about her shoulderblades, and is usually kept down or braided. Her eyes are one of the best features she has. Soft doe eyes that always seem to have some sort of innocent look to them. Baby blue in color with a pale green around her pupils, giving an array of blues and greens. They're framed by long, dark brown lashes.
Her nose is a very unique feature about her. It's a little narrow and straight, but at the end the tip of it is upturned slightly. It's not the most extreme thing but it's definitely noticeable. Her nose is paired with her soft, full lips in the shape of a defined cupid's bow. Her brows are slightly arched and a darker brown in color. She has a gentle heart shaped face and full cheeks with high cheekbones. There arent many signs of aging on her face since she's still young, but she often does have bags under her eyes.
Josephine has dimples on both sides of her cheeks, small little divots that only appear when she smiles or laughs. Her teeth are a little interesting. Her canines are oddly sharp, almost like the fangs on a cat. They're pointed sharply at the ends and it's a feature she really, really hates about herself.
Personality
Backstory
Josephine is sort of the black sheep of the family. The outcast, the one who stands out. It isn't that her family excludes her or views her as different- no, they love her all the same and she loves them too. But for generations her family has settled on the same plot of land, maintaining the family farm with no desire or interest to explore the world. This is where Josephine differs from them. Ever since she was a little kid, she's always been very adventurous, like most kids. And being raised on a farm allowed her to explore to her heart's content and learn every little dip and divot in the land. Every little nook and cranny.
Josephine has no interest or desire in staying and inheriting the family farm. She's made that very clear from a young age. She yearns to get out and explore the world, to go further than the edges of their land and the local town. Many things hold her back, though. Where would she go? Is it safe to go alone? Will she ever see her family again? Such things keep her grounded but the anchor is slowly coming loose. As the youngest of three, her siblings have always been tasked with keeping a close eye on her to make sure she doesn't attempt to vanish into the night. Her family has always been particularly religious and such thing rubs off on her.
She's scared to betray the rules set by those before her- such as not abandoning family. But it's not abandoning if she leaves a note for them, right? That's what she tries to convince herself of. Every passing day she grows more and more antsy, more eager. She'd jump at the first chance for adventure like a starving dog to a hare.
