Void's Pov - 1st Person I was nervous, the meeting was going to start soon. The kings agreed to have their whole families attend, that way there could be more ideas. Except they met on the middle ground, in the middle of the battlefield. The war had gotten nowhere, our kingdoms were equals and only brought more pain to each other by depleting them of their resources. They can't just drop a war either, they have to come to an agreement. Except neither of the kingdoms want to give up anything, they were both desperate to find a middle ground. The other kingdom's family walked into the tent, I felt the tension in the tent grow. I was one of 7 children in my family 3 girls and 4 boys, I was the second oldest and the oldest girl. The oldest brother, Geroade, didn't want to be heir and took the position of general instead. Since I was a girl I couldn't be an heir and would probably be married off. My mother warned me there was a chance I would be married off to the heir of the other kingdom. I wasn't scared, I studied my entire life. I was taught how to be a queen, not any role lesser. My parents refused to marry me off to anyone lesser, whether I liked it or not I would be married off to be a queen. Edited at November 1, 2022 12:06 PM by Frostyhills24

He was bristling with more excitement than nervousness. He was eager to go to the meeting of the two kingdoms, as his whole life his kingdom had been at war with the other. He wondered what the other royal family was like. His was semi-chaotic, with him being the oldest out of his siblings. He had seven total siblings, and sacred stars were they frustrating a lot. He wasn't scared of what might happen, all he wanted to do was help the kingdoms come to an agreement, whatever that might be. Because of his role of the eldest of the eight, and thus being the Crowned Prince of the Draken Kingdom, he had studied his whole life. On topics like the war, how to rule, and so on. His favorite part of his life was when he got to studying art and writing stories. Another favorite of his was training and sparring. As he walked into the huge tent, he felt the already thick tension rise. Neither kingdoms had met like this before. He quickly scanned the room, analyzing the others already there like he was taught to do. As his gaze came to what looked to be one of the princesses, his thoughts stopped working and he stared at her before internally shaking himself out of it. He sat where he was told to, on the other side of the other kingdom's royal family. He hoped to the sacred stars above that this would go well.

Void's Pov - 1st Person I watched them walk into the tent, my father stood at their arrival. I was standing behind him on his left while my brother was sitting on his right. One of them caught my attention, our eyes met but I looked away immediately staring at the table and my father's proposals. I didn't want to get my hopes up, if I was to marry it would be the heir. I didn't even know who the heir from this kingdom was. The men sat down "Let's get this negotiation started shall we," my father said. They spoke for a great while and to a point, it almost started to sound like arguing. They had gone through almost everything on their lists, both were stumped and agitated. The countries were both independent, neither really needed anything, and had plenty of land. The only thing that would be nice and convenient would be a trading system, but that is always already a part of the aggreement system. My father took a deep breath and sighed, "I have one more proposal," he said almost as if he didn't want to, I had an idea of what was coming. The other king was interested in his struggle to say this idea. "A marriage proposal, between my eldest daughter and your heir." I heard my mother's breath hitch and my younger siblings that were playing and messing around got quiet. My oldest brother looked at my father like he was mad, he was about to say something but I put my hand on his shoulder stopping him. I gave him a comforting look but he just looked at me like I was insane but kept his mouth shut.

His family just stared at the other king, shocked. After a moment, his father opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by him. "Father, this should be my decision. Let me speak." He almost pleaded, not wanting this to start a fight. His father simply nodded, waving his hand to tell him to speak. He stood up, then bowed to the other side with respect. "I am the Crowned Prince of the Draken Kingdom. My name is Eclipse Draken, and it is an honor to meet you." Straightening, he took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I will accept this proposal, only if I can get to know your daughter first. I will not marry her if I do not feel love for or by her." He let those words sink in before sitting down once again.

Void's Pov - 1st Person My eyes went wide, I never expected someone to care so much about getting along with their possible spouse. My father seemed to sigh in relief "If I'm being honest I was hoping you would say something like that," He said with a slight smile "It would be my daughter Void," he said motioning to me. I gave a quick nervous smile, I was never trained for this. I didn't know what to do. My mother grabbed my hand behind me and held my hand, it was her way of trying to calm my nerves. How was this going to work, is it like trying to make friends? I probably looked a little nervous on the outside, but on the inside, I was about ready to panic and walk out.

Eclipse nodded. He then smiled at the princess, who he now knew. "If I may, I would like to take Void and spend time with her?" He asked, tilting his head slightly. Looking at Void again, he beckoned her over.

Void's Pov - 1st Person I composed myself and walked over, keeping my hands positioned in front of me and held together. I step cautiously, we were in the middle of a battlefield after all. There could be sharp objects on the ground, and I was just not about to be carried.
