Mosaic | F | Sakura Pack | Alpha It was Early morning; Mosaic was trotting along the South-West borders of her pack's territory, checking to see if there were any signs of activity made by enemy wolves, she sniffed the cold morning air to see if she could find any nearby scents. Ember shook the ash out of her grey fur. The small cave she slept in often had a thin layer of volcanic dirt no matter how hard she tried. She walked out of the cave and onto one of the paths spiraling up the inside of the volcano until she climbed up to the semi fresh air. She couldn't wait to be able to explore the other two islands of Volcanic pack's territory soon she would though when she became a juvenile.

Hunter lopes along the trail, panting, and stops. He looks out to see if there were any other wolves of any pack nearby. He saw no one. That's disapointing. I was hoping for a fight! Hunter thinks, growling slightly. He starts the run back, flapping his wings for balance. He ran to the waterfall that was close to the border. He smirks at it, and runs back to the heart of his territory. He flies up to the top of the Volcano, and looks out to the village that was small, but still alive. He smiles proudly, and lets out a chuckle. "This will do. This will do just fine." He says, flying down to his den.

Akela woke up from a long nap, it was now around noon. The night before had been tiring, patrolling the borders were a big thing even with help. He shook himself to get the ashes off his pelt, flapping his wings once he crawled out of his small-ish den. Akela walked part way up the spirling paths of the volcano before he jumped down the middle where, if he failed this, it would have ended badly. He did this everyday though so there was no danger when he flew himself up to the top.

Flame | F | Mountain Cliff Pack | Elder | M: Open The early rays of sunlight drifted into the den, warming the stone floor. Flame opened her eyes, looking slightly tired still but that was a normal day. She got up slowly and stretched her legs before walking to the entrance of the den. Looking out over the camp, she noticed not too many were awake yet. Yawning, Flame walked slowly out of the den before stretching each wing. The sunlight shone on them, lighting up the tips more than the rest of them.
Once her stretches were complete, she let herself fall off the ledge. The ledge was long enough to hold two wolves with their wings folded and had a path down to the main camp. Most of the dens were in nooks in the cliff that they lived in. The non-fliers lived on the bottom levels while the fliers could have a bit more fun and fly down or out from their dens.
She took the latter and let herself fall for a moment before dipping her wings, letting herself fall more into a glide than a fall. Extending her wings slightly farther, she pulled herself out of the glide and into flight. It wasn't too breezy today but she was sure the peaks would have the heavier winds. Flapping down gently, she made her way higher into the air. Once at a reasonable height, she let the wind take her, angling her wings every so often to change directions. Flame was flying towards the river near the Saltwater Pack.
Knowing that if she continued in this direction, it would take her to the ocean, she tilted her body and wings to turn. Gliding above the trees, she made her way towards the Eastwing Mountains again. Her morning flight was always the best as there was no one else flying so she had the best views all to herself. Up here, it was like there was no war and that everything was at peace. Sighing, she dipped her wings, almost scooping the wind as she leaned into a dive.
She dived forward until she could almost touch the peaks with her paws. Flame didn't want to get into the heavy winds this early in the morning so she stayed closer to the ground. Lifting up, she skimmed the top of the peak before diving on the other side, heading lazily back towards camp. Pulling out of her dive, she dipped down slightly lower before slowing down. Flame did not want to crash land into camp.
Slowing down slightly more, she landed gently into a walk in the main camp. Sweeping her wings once, she folded them gently onto her back before walking over to her favorite place to sun. Laying down, she spread her wings slightly and soaked in the warm sun as she waited for the camp to wake up around her.

Raven | M | Mountain Cliff Pack | Beta | M: Open Raven yawned as the morning light filtered in. He shook out his fur before walking to the entrance of the den. The camp looked dead. Which was normal sometimes, most of the fliers went out in the morning. A shine nearby made him peer over to see Flame, one of the elders, fall off her ledge and catch herself on the fly. Ah yes, the wonder to fly. He couldn't believe some had never experienced it. It was quite a wonderful experience. Raven stretched out his legs before letting himself fall himself.
He caught himself quickly, even though his den was parallel to the Flame's den. Raven wanted to go on patrol and while the elder was out. Her normal flight took her anywhere but if something was off, she usually let them know. It looked like she was headed for the Saltwater territory border so he tilted his wings so he would be headed for the Volcanic Pack territory. First though, time for some speed.
One of the things Raven adored about flight was the speed and view of it. Right now, he wanted speed so he headed for the peaks. The heavy winds would push him towards that direction fast so it wouldn't take forever to get there. Granted, it could probably take half a day for non-fliers to get to borders in their territories. Flapping hard, he scaled the mountains as if he had done it a thousand times. Which he probably had, but who was counting? Getting to the top, he pushed higher, panting as the air got thinner.
Finally, he felt the harsh winds and tucked his wings slightly, letting the winds shoot him forward. He scooped his wings every so often to stay on course. A young one wouldn't dare try to do these winds, it took experience in flight. But he was old enough to know how it worked. He also had plenty of time to learn how to fly. Raven knew pups would think off the bat, 'Just flap and your flying'. He could never be a teacher with pups asking those questions. Flying was the angle of your wings, your legs and head, the down draft, the up draft and more.
Just flapping your wings would never be enough. At least, not to him. Turning was crucial, he had learned that from Flame and the other elders. Turning quickly and sharply in battle could be an advantage. Not that he was exceptionally good at it, but practice made perfect. And using the environment and winds to your advantage. Raven was close to the border now and snapped out of his thoughts. Tucking one wing entirely, he dove into a tight spiral down.
The wind rushing through his fur made him want to howl for joy. It was exhilarating. In battle, a huge advantage if you knew how to use it. A few techniques could be used to harm opponents but used correctly, a spiral dive could kill a flying opponent. Not that he kept track of how many techniques could be used in a variety of ways. Nope, totally not him.
Raven pulled out of the dive a split second before hitting the ground, skidding to a stop near the border. Prancing slightly in place for a moment, he turned to sniff around before running to take off again. Flapping up high enough to skim the air, he dove back down to weave in and out of the trees. Raven almost ran into a bush more than once but otherwise did alright in dodging the trunks. Coming out into the meadow, he dropped down to land on an unexpecting doe, killing it immediately. Yumm, breakfast.
Pack came first though so he picked it up, beating his wings hard to get to a good height before gliding back to the camp. It was a leisure time, no wolves out at the time. The war had left most of the packs with only a few elders and the top ranks as well as healers. And pups of course. No harm came to the pups. But without hunters, fighters and scouts, it also left them all vulnerable.
Considering that the other packs were in the same boat could mean the lead to peace. Raven wasn't sure what to think about that. His whole life had been war and fighting. Could everyday be like this? Raven didn't think so. Yes, they all had different looks and talents. The Seawater Pack was the best swimmers in the land, the oceans were theirs anyway. None of the packs could live near the volcanoes like the Volcanic Pack could. It was like they were made for that territory. And the Sakura Pack. . .well, the deer like wolves seemed to like the meadows and forests the best. It suited them. His own pack had flight to scale the peaks of the mountains and feathers to keep them warm in the hard winters.
Raven returned to camp and set down the doe in the center. He wasn't too hungry, he could always find a rabbit to eat if he was. He did notice that Flame had returned and was sunning herself nearby. Raven smiled before sitting down himself, tucked his wings in, and waited for the pack to wake up.

Mosaic | F | Sakura Pack | Alpha As Mosaic Trotted along her Territorys border she came to a River, she took a quick look around before lapping up some of the water, After she finished she decided to take a small break and found a spot to lay; it was underneath a large oak Tree that was infront of the river; She laid down as she watched the River water rush, soon after she closed her eyes, resting them as she listened to the soothing sound of rushing water. Artemis looked around the pack, seeing what duties needed to be done, as they trotted along seeing the pile of food was running low. She then decided that she would go on a hunt, to replenish the food. As she walked outside of the pack's cave, raising her head to catch scent of something, it seemed to be a deer. Not being able to exactly pin-point the location or scent, she followed the trail it had left behind. -- (Sorry, this is my first time after a LONG while roleplaying. :') )

Ember spread her wings and took to the sky. She liked flying above the dark clouds. Sometimes she could see the other two islands that made up volcanic pack territory Drifting island and Moon Island. She made a small circle around the volcano before landing on a small ledge about halfway up the volcano where a vent had layered this side of the volcano. Gradually creating the ledge.
