- Plot - The Tewa Herd, sensing the looming threat of the impending winter storms that swept across the mountains with a ferocity unmatched in recent memory, comes to a unanimous decision to migrate southward, seeking refuge from the brutal cold. The once tranquil valley, their home, has become increasingly dangerous, not only due to the harsh weather but also because of the wranglers who have been trickling into their territory, driven by greed and the promise of profit. With each passing day, the herd feels the chilling winds biting at their flanks and the ground beneath their hooves beginning to freeze, a stark reminder that time is running out. The journey ahead is fraught with peril; the path is riddled with obstacles, including treacherous terrain and the lurking predators that have been drawn to the weakening animals. Will the herd, with their strong bonds and instinctive wisdom, be able to navigate the dangers that lie ahead, or will they succumb to the crushing storms of winter that threaten to engulf them? The uncertainty looms like the dark clouds gathering on the horizon, and each member of the herd can feel the weight of their fate hanging in the balance. As they prepare to embark on this dangerous migration, the question echoes in the hearts of the horses: will they survive this arduous journey and find a safe haven, or will they become victims of the merciless elements and the increasing number of threats that stalk them? Only time will tell, and perhaps, in the face of such adversity, they will discover the true strength of their spirit and the power of unity. As the first flakes of snow begin to fall, the herd takes a deep breath, ready to face whatever challenges await them in their quest for survival. |

- Roleplay Rules - 1.) All of WP & Eve's (Sixbears) rules. 2.) You may have up to 2 characters, this may change depending on this roleplay's demand. 3.) This is a semi-literate to literate roleplay, meaning I expect at least 300 words per post if not more. If you are suffering from writer's block or you will be gone for a while, please let me know! 4.) No Mary/Gary Sues, Weeping Willows, etc... 5.) Going along with that, make your characters unique! Your character should not be perfect, everyone has their weaknesses. 6.) Dont have your character be the one always starting up drama, it gets annoying quite quickly. 7.) All horses must be mustangs and if not- at least a mix of two or more breeds. 8.) Reservations last 24 hours! You may ask for a 6-hour extension if needed via PMs. 9.) Hate the character. Not the player. 10.) I do love romance roleplays but please do not make that the main idea of this roleplay. Any riske scenes should either be faded to black or kept away from. 11.) There is a co-host of this roleplay, Ivy Thicket. She and I will control the time and weather of the roleplay, if you have any ideas however- please feel free to reach out to either of us! 12.) Please respect your fellow roleplayers and the hosts of this roleplay. Any disrespect to anyone will result in an immediate kick from the roleplay. 13.) - Hierarchy - . Head Mare - The dominant and highest-ranking female in the herd. Typically an older mare (but not always) she is wise in the knowledge of survival and experience. She is responsible for the herd's well-being and is in charge of making laws. This female is usually one of the only mares in the herd to produce offspring in the spring months. This position cannot the overtaken unless it is passed down to the mare's eldest heir. Head Stallion - This male, usually the mate of the Head Mare, is responsible for defending the herd from dangerous competitors or loners. He reinforces the Head Mare's laws and intervenes with any conflict within the herd. This position cannot be challenged. Deputy - This position can be filled by either a mare or a stallion and is described as being the Head Mare and Stallions adviser of sorts. They help the leaders with large decisions and are also responsible for reinforcing the Head Mare's laws. They are to take over leadership if the Head Mare and Stallion are gone for any reason and their word is to be followed if such events take place. This position can be challenged. Shaman - This position, like the one above, can be filled by either a mare or stallion. They are experienced in the healing properties of nature and are, in simple words, the medic of the herd. They are responsible for taking care of any wounds that herd members may be dealing with and are expected to gather herbs throughout their time in case of emergency. This position cannot be challenged. Shaman Apprentice - Usually filled by a younger herd member who has grown up around the Shaman most of their life, learning slowly how to use the earth's herbs for healing purposes. This position cannot be challenged for and usually isnt, as foals can choose what they apprentice in from a young age. Head Legionary - The lead warrior/scout of the herd. They are in charge of training juveniles who wish to become Legionnaires when they've grown. This highly respected role could even be described as the Head Stallion's right hand. They work with the Head Stallion in defending the herd from intruders and are in command of the Legionnaires. This position can be challenged. Legionary - The warriors and scouts of the herd. They make up the bulk of the herd and are in charge of protecting it against any dangers that may patrol their borders. Legionaries can train juveniles if need be, but they usually leave that job to the Head Legionary. This position can be challenged. Mothers - The mares of the herd who are currently pregnant with or nursing their foals. They are known to step down from their usual roles in the herd to take care of their offspring. However, they are expected to return when their foals reach a year old. Juveniles - Foals that are between 1-2 years of age and are currently training with either the Deputy, The Shaman, or The Head Legionary. They are fully weaned and will graduate to their desired role in the herd when they turn three. Foals - The offspring of the mothers in the herd, their age ranging from newborn to a year old. They are to be protected at all times as they are the next line of horses in the herd. Elders - The oldest horses in the herd. Herd members are allowed to move to this position as soon as they reach eight years of age and are required to step down from their postions in the herd to this role when they reach ten years of age. Elders are to be respected at all times and are usually some of the wisest members in the herd. Loners - Horses who have either been exiled or born outside a herd. Not many of them pose an actual threat to the herd but there are certain individuals that may wish to overtake the herds leaders... |
