[ you don't remember the fall ] you boarded a flight early that morning to exotic far lands, hoping to score a sweet vacation on the beach of some low population island. you and around 15 others all had the same goal--disappear from the rest of society for about a month along the glittering coastline of an ocean. the plane flight, albeit expensive, was riddled with luxurious meals and first class seating that was meant for royalty. [ the engine explodes ] there's a cacophony of screams and puncturing steel. the right engine suddenly combusted, the fan falling out from the cylinder and the plane starts to experience turbulance. the head pilot comes onto the speakerphone, inhaling close to the mic, and assures everyone that a sudden, but safe, landing can be made. the screams die down by an inch, but the plane cradles side to side while sailing through the descending clouds. [ and suddenly… ] and suddenly the left engine combusts. whether there be a fault with the plane or the staff doesn't matter now, it's surviving the almost promised death ahead of you. before you know it, the plane takes a sharp, downwards dip and you headbutt the seat in front of you, immediately knocking you out. you loose complete consciousness, and forget the final events that transpired before your death. [ what happened? ] you awake, being plunged into the water at full force. the steel protection that once surrounded you is gone, however, you remain buckled to the seat that pulls you deeper into the water. you hurriedly unbuckle it, struggling to surface before you drown. you make it just in time, taking in a gasping breath of air, and begin to float easier. [ i want to live ] you struggle to swim over to a floating piece of metal, grasping onto it for safety. you turn your head, assessing the situation, and see that the private plane you took on your rendezvous has been smashed, nozzle-first, into the sandy beach of an untouched island. flaming bits are scattered all over the beach, and the failed engine's fan suddenly drops out of the sky into the water behind you, pushing you forward to the coast. you instinctively swim closer to the sandy banks, releasing your grasp from the metal plate and scrambling onto the land. it's so good to be alive… you think, despite all the chaos. [ where is everyone else? ] you flick your head one way and the other, scanning the beach, and seeing a few people bobble up from the water, or pick themselves up off the sand. seems like most people survived the crash… besides a few unlucky ones. the unlucky ones were the ones who hit the sand or the forest, immediately dying on impact. someone's friend, someone's lover, and someone's sibling. [ what now? ] your biggest goal is to survive. make it through the initial night, and continue to prosper on the island. build rafts, campfires, tents--anything you can to make island life a bit better, until you hopefully* are found. * = never promised. [ the crash's ruins ] here lies the remains of the plane. amongst the rubble, you find the following: - 5 flare guns - 2 medic packs - enough rations for 50 days for 10 people - wires, circuitboards, anything connected to the control center - 10 water bottles - air filtering devices - a life jacket for each person (ideas) items for your luggage (* is optional): - clothing - shoes - *snacks - *religious objects - *books imporant notes: - there is no water filter found on the plane. in order to get clear water, one will have to boil it. - if someone picks a role, like say, "the survivalist," that character might have a compass or a great sense of direction. if someone picks a role like "the doctor," that character would be great at healing others. [ the advertisement ] you are stranded on an island, far from any other part of the world, due to a plane crash that scattered your memory, and your sense of self. survive on this island, or at least attempt to, in this battle between life and death. [ the rules ] i won't go into detail on these rules, you guys know the jist! 1. follow basic wolfplaygame rules. 2. hate the character, not the player. 3. be respectful of others. 4. this is a semi-lit to lit roleplay. no one is forcing you to write over 2 paragraphs, however. you are allowed to mirror responses! 5. romance is allowed. 6. lgbtq+ is allowed. 7. this isn't really a rule, but i encourage drama. i encourage new plotlines, and i encourage anything new. stuff like mutinys, betrayal, romance, teaming up--i invite it whole-heartedly! 8. cursing is allowed. 9. do not be any -phobic of any kind. 10. a newer role, 2 characters are allowed per person. [ roleplay status ] open / closed * reserve your characters now * for your character sheets, it is totally freeform. all i require is a "role" (ie: the teacher, or the dentist, etc.) Edited at September 27, 2021 09:24 PM by Popee The Performer
