Picture this:
It's dinner time. I have been at a funeral for most of the afternoon (no food).
Hear my dad using the egg beater. The only time this is ever used is if he's making mashed potatoes (dislike) or homemade waffles (best)
Room smells vaguely of waffles. Excitement!! As I have not eaten since breakfast.
Rush downstairs, dad has, infact, not made waffles and has made mashed potatoes. I am very disappointed. I choose to have leftovers noodles over mashed potatoes. My dad insists I have some form of meat with it, so he cuts up a sausage and puts in on top.
Several issues.
1. After expecting waffles, this tasted quite poorly
2. Leftover, so had to be heated up, and was not warm enough (never is)
3. the sausage was rancid.
Understandably upset, I go to have an ice cream treat from the freezer.
I grab a drumstick and begins to cheer up a bit.
Unfortunately the drumstick was expired and the cone was soggy, a discovery I made after eating half.
Goes to get some Easter candy to wash the taste out of my mouth and maybe make me feel better.
The Easter candy was also rancid.
