Hi! I want to start doing digital art! I see lots of people doing it and it always looks so cool!

I want to make adopts to sell, and I think that WP is a good place to start... I am nervous about putting my art on social media like Instagram or Twitter. Anyways, I want mush and apples! I made a really cool custom and I want her soooo bad!!!

How big of a canvas should I have if I want to make a reference sheet for a character? I want it to have non-potato quality and for it to look c r i s p ! !

(Sorry for grammatical errors - english is not my first language!)

@Polargisst

That's a really large canvas, I wouldn't recommend that big. Oh heavens no.

@milk

I think you would probably want at least a rectangular canvas shape for reference sheets. So lengthwise say... 1100 and width be 900, etc. It's generally not recommended to go over 1500 pixels since that creates a huge file size.

But I think it also depends on your style of art as well. Definitely work on putting a few pieces together and then see what people think.
