Backstory:
"They're Defective", a voice snarled as they slept. A growl leaving the large male that now stood over the yearlings. "Look at it," he growled lowly as he eyed his only daughter, who had been born blind with fur whiter than snow, "It's disgusting! How dare you bring these putrid things into my den? You should have destroyed these two as soon as they left your womb! The eldest is the only satisfactory being of them!" Then there was a snarl of protest from his mother and all hell broke loose within the den"
Two eyes, one a glowing gold and the other an iridescent green shined from the shadows as the young wolf watched his parents fight. His mother stood there, shaking and bloody, a vicious snarl still holding her terrified face as his father stalked closer to her. She had feared this, she had feared that the father of her pups would turn on them all. Now it was happening, and she was not able to protect the three small lives that she brought into the world. She glanced quickly towards the shadows where her pups cowered, then back towards the large male that was growling threateningly at her, a gleam of determination lighting up the green tone of her glowing eyes. Her wings flared wide and the hair on her neck bristled, a fierce roar sounding from her throat as she threw herself at the male! Claws and teeth digging relentlessly as the male released a snarl of his own, grabbing the female by her beautiful, obsidian black wings and yanking his head back. An audible crack and a scream left the female as her limb was crushed and broken, falling limp as she fell from the males side. Yet another crunch sounded as his massive paws landed full-force against her ribs, a deafening whine leaving the female as she gasped for breath. Then, the light faded from her eyes and her once elegant, beautiful body, slumped ragged and motionless to the bloodied ground. The large male turned his attention to the two small forms huddled in the shadows.
The youngster felt his blood turn to ice, his own eyes flaring with color as his small body erupted with a snarl. His mother was dead, his brother was missing, and he was the only one left to protect his defenseless sister. Something inside him screamed for him to fight, to stand up and protect his little sister who sat behind him. Her body trembled, however, she could not see what was happening, and he could imagine just how much it was to only hear these noises and think of what had taken place. He watched as the male seemed to grin and take a step forward. The ground under the young pup's paws began to crack and the snarl that once again left him seemed to shake the very cave, and their father simply scoffed.
"Seems I was wrong about one of you." His attention turned back to the small female, a deadly look in his eyes. He stepped towards her, only to be blocked by her brother, his unmatched eyes glowing with challenge at his father. However, he began yelping and he wasn't sure why. His head felt like it was on fire, He shook himself viciously, pawing at hisears as a shrill ring filled his mind, trying to rid himself of the unbearable pain. He couldn't breathe, couldn't move, he could only watch as a blurred image of the large male approached the white wolf in the corner. He heard a single shrill scream and his world went black.
