The Storm Ahead The mountains of Alaska are home to some of the bravest, most toughest dogs and people out there. Through the bitter cold, they race to deliever the mail around Alaska. From Nome all the way to Sitka. They had the adventures of a lifetime. But, it wasn't long before horror striked the town of Sitka. Sickness rushed upon the towns inhabitants and the only cure for it was in Nome's hosptial. But, a storm was bound to hit, and Sitka was over a weeks trip driving. So, what other way to do it than the best ride in town? Through the harsh cold of the storm, the dogs would have to pull the sleds and their "drivers" through the toughest of trails and across the fridgid biomes to be able to get to Sitka. But, will they survive the massive amounts of danger? Avalanches, Ice that they could fall through, Possible Starvation? Both dogs and sled drivers will endure a lot. Will they make it? The mushers must work together with their dogs in order to make sure all teams make it with the life saving medicine. Will you be of help? My Roleplay Rules - This is a semi-literate and realistic roleplay. - Follow ALL of Eve's rules - No godmodding, your dog will not be able to be buried and not suffocate - Since this is realistic, the romance pairings will be MxF - THIS IS A REALITIC RP; Which means, only dogs usually used for sleds can be used. A great dane wouldn't be able to survive the harshness of Alaska winters. If you've read this far, put you favorite dog breed in other! - Reservations last 48 hours, I may consider going longer if you tell me you need it, but no promises - Wolf Mixes are allowed! - Only THREE sled dogs per person can be used.(musher is included in the 3 if you make one) On second thought, put your favorite number somewhere in your submission (bold it) - You can have as many characters as you please! :D - You get THREE warnings then you're out! |

Art by Matsi-Doodles on DA Lead dogs: Some say the most critical part of the team, lead dogs set the pace and keep the other dogs on the trail. They are the dogs that respond to the musher's commands of “gee” (right turn) and “haw” (left turn). In which they lead the other dogs in the right direction in order to pull the sled correctly. Swing(Or point)Dogs: Positioned directly behind the lead dogs, the swing dogs help steer the team around corners. As lead dogs make a turn, the swing dogs pull the team in an arc that keeps the other dogs on the trail and brings the sled and musher safely around a corner. Team Dogs: The team's core. They pull the sled and maintain speed or pace. There can be several pairs of team dogs, depending on the size of the team. Wheel Dogs: These are the two dogs closest to the sled. Not necessarily the largest of the dogs but sometimes they are the most agile, often needing to cross over the main line while going around corners and then return to their original position. |

She has a very long body with medium length legs. Her ears are large and if folded over that cover most if not all of her face. Dakoda has a beautiful blue merle coat with blue eyes. Personality Dakoda is a rather loving and caring dog. She loves to run and wouldn't want to do anything else. She is very confident in her ways and doesn't take criticsism lightly. One Appearance SaigeSaige is a rather petite yet muscular female. She is an average height for a female wolf and weighs little more due to her being pregnant. The females pelt is a light grey color, her face like a dark face mask with a white hole around her left eye. She has tiger-stripe like markings on her back and her back legs looks like they have wrap on them of some sort. On her front legs is a dark color like her face. She had dark eyes, just as dakr as the fur surrounding them. She also has rings around her tail that are lighter than the rest of her fur color. Personality She is a rather out-going females and she cares greatly for others. Though, Saige can also get rather depressed, especially when her late mate is brought up. Her heart is a big one and loves to help anyone she can. Saige is not afraid to put her life on the line for others, and won't hold back to protect anyone. His red fur is a bronze color and his white fur is as white as snow. He is strong but a little on the skinny side but you would not be able to tell because he is very poofy. Personality: Blizzard is sometimes aggressive to new dogs he dose not know. If he is not watched he might steal something. He is a very sneaky dog and will disappear if you look away. Likes: He loves to be outside for long periods of time, and running in the snow.
