Formerly: The Dark Forest Pack
The Dark Forest Pack has been a succesful and noteable pack, respected by many over the years. Unfortunately for them, all good things must come to an end, and for the Dark Forest pack, they came crashing down. In a war with a rival pack, both Alphas, as well as their only heir, were killed. However, in the corners of the pack, hope has stirred, as the illegitimate heir of the Alpha Male has stepped forth and taken over. Of course, that doesn't mean things went smoothly, or that he was overly accepted by the pack. He wasn't.
Shaking things up further, this new Alpha has demoted his father's previous betas. Leaving a vacuum in their ranks, so that he can choose his own, hoping to have Second in Commands who he can trust. These things haven't gone unnoticed by the pack, many of the disgruntled by the new change in leadership, much of them hoping that the previous Betas would lead instead. Of course, the previous beta know this, and do not have plan to give up so easily. They know his footing as Alpha is unstable right now, so it leaves room for them to insight discourse, perhaps beginning a rebellion even.
With the threat of a possible rebellion, and the knowledge that their Rival pack is still gunning for them, this new Alpha has his hands full. And it doesn't end there. In order to fully solidify his foothold as Alpha, there is one task he must complete first: Find a Mate. A bit primitive in ways, but still true, an Alpha must be able to provide a legitimate heir, so he will need to acquire a mate so that the pack knows he can eventually provide an heir if anything were to happen to him, and therefore accept him. Unfortunately for him, though, being an illegitimate heir of the former Alpha, not many females will desire to become the Alpha Female for any other reason than for the rank.
With all of these things looming over him, somehow he will have to find a way to lead his pack out of darkness. Or perish in the process.

RP Rules 1. All of Eve's rules, obviously. 2. This is semi-realistic, so do your research before making a character. 3. If you have questions--PM us. Do not clog up this thread with unnecessary talk. 5. Credit your images, or else your character will not be accepted. 6. With images also, make sure they are uploaded to an acceptable image hosting site. 7. This is semi-literate. That means we require full sentences for appearance and personality (yes, even if you have an image for appearance. We need measurements and scars/things that aren't shown on the image). Put the word blue somewhere in your form, but not in other. 8. This also means that you need at least 1 paragraph, with at least 5 sentences per paragraph, per post per character, and acceptable grammar. We understand writers block, but we need something to reply to. 9. If you are fighting, allow others to reply, and do not dodge every hit, or land every hit. 10. Be active. Do not sign up for this RP just to disappear and not be active. 11. No godmoding, powerplaying etc.. None of that will be tolerated. 12. Don't have your character be "that guy". Don't have them constantly disobey orders, or constantly wander off--doing this sometimes is okay, but c'mon, really? It doesn't make you fun, it makes you annoying. 13. Juveniles are to be protected at all costs--they are the next generation, and our only hope of continuing on. 8. Relations with outsiders is forbidden. 9. Directly disobeying a higher-up with intent is a punishable offense. The punishment is decided by your higher-ups. 10. Higher-ups, mothers and juveniles eat first. 11. The Hierarchy & Roles Explained
Alpha Male
The Alpha Male of the Pack is the male in charge of the pack. His orders are laws, and he expects for them to be obeyed. The Alpha Male is typically always a dark color wolf, usually black in color, the New Alpha not being so is change something not fond of in the pack. The Alpha, with the aid of his mate and the betas, handle pack politics such as: demotions, exiles, deciding punishment, as well as pairing sentries as young wolves and aiding in their training. The Alpha Male must always have some form of legitimate male heir.
Alpha Female
This she-wolf is the mate of the Alpha Male. The Alpha Female is only achievable through mate-hood with the Alpha Male. While she holds power, she doesn't hold the same amount as the Alpha Male. She could lead on her own if the Alpha Male were to perish, but it would be expected of her to find an appropriate suitor, or raise one of her male pups (or someone else's) to take over. If she does neither, she will be expected to step down to the Betas. She aids the Alpha Male in his duties. One of her primary functions, though, is to provide an heir.
The Beta Male & Female
These are the two wolves below that Alphas that serve as Second in Commands, primarily to their respective gender (the Beta Male to the Alpha Male, and same for the female). The Betas helps the Alphas lead, acting as an advisor and a supporter. They also lead hunts, war parties, etc. And when they don't they, if the Alpha doesn't, may select someone to do so. The Beta Male is also responsible for acting out punishments that Alpha decides upon. He is almost like an enforcer. Whereas the Beta Female helps the Alpha Female raise her young, often with her own. This is so the Alpha's Pups always have a high rank with them.
Sentries
These are the 8 wolves stationed at the borders (north, south, east, and west), and are in charge of patrolling and looking for any sort of attack from other packs or rogues. There are two wolves per border, so that if there is an attack, one can stay to keep tabs on whoever it is, and the other can run back to report to the pack. Sentries are highly trained wolves, receiving extensive training from the age of a year old. They are chosen and carefully paired together at a young age, and trained together so that they know how to fight together, they know each other inside and out, almost better than they know themselves. Northern Sentries will be NPCs, and are strictly all while wolves to blend in with the snow of the mountains. They spend days, sometimes weeks, on the nothern border, before coming back to the camp to recover before heading back out. The other sentries all HAVE to be darker colored wolves, primarily black, having carved out hiding spots for the months they don't easily blend into the shadows. It's important to know these wolves tend to be in their prime, as they don't finish their training prior to then. Sentries are highly respect among the pack, revered even at times.

Pack Members
These are all the other adult pack members in the pack. They are the main force for hunts, fights, etc. They are the base of the pack. Each wolf in the pack knows when it's time of year it is to go one hunts, which is based off their coat color. They understand their responsibilities in the pack, and what the punishments are if they do not perform.
Demoted Betas
The are the two wolves, the mated pair, who were the Betas to the old Alphas. They were demoted when the New Alpha took over. It is well known within the pack that they hoped to take over when the old Alphas perished. It is also well known that they encouraged the old Alpha Male to rid the pack of his illegitimate heir when he was born, and even after too, so the New Alpha is aware of this fact. They do not intend to give up just yet on taking over and will be looking to make it happen.
Trainees
These are the wolves who are 1 year to 2 year old. Think of them like appentices, they are undergoing training to take their roles within the pack. At 1 year old, they are also up for examination from the Alphas and Sentries to decide if any of them are to be paired to be trained as sentries.
Pups
This is pretty self-explanatory. They are the offspring of the wolves, the mated pairs, in the pack. Pups are to be protected at all times.
Elders
These are the wolves older the 12 in the pack. It's a hard rank to achieve within the pack, but not impossible. They are highly respected wolves, and not expected to do anything other than enjoy their final days. They often act as story stellers. |

Lore & Stuffs The Pack The Dark Forest Pack has been called many things--mysterious, unusual, odd. Regardless of when these things are positive or negative, they are all true. The element of surprise is the friend of these creatures, it has been this way since their creation, and they have been rumored to simply disappear before the eyes of attackers. During summer and spring, it is black wolves that go hunting, primarily at night. They blend in with the shadows, stalk silently through the grass and trees, and disappear into the welcoming arms of the darkness. Throughout the autumn months, wolves of shades of ginger, brown and tan leave the camp to go out and hunt, hidden beneath the falling leaves of brown and ginger, hidden within the oranging grass. During the winter months, the wolves of cream and white, paler hues than the rest of the pack, go out to hunt, hidden within snow storms and falling flakes. If the alarm is called, if a singular sentry rushes back towards the pack with news of intruders, the pack splits up into groups of four wolves--different colors depending on the season that the intruders arrive within. If it is spring or summer, winter and autumn wolves stay within the camp whilst the others go out, and vice versa with the other seasons. These groups of four hide themselves in places near the place where the intruders were spotted, sentries hidden among them, and prepare themselves to defend the borders. If it is an attack that overwhelms their numbers, they send one of the sentries back to the camp to rally the remaining, unhidden members and bring them to challenge their attackers. Their dens are dug out beneath the roots of trees, done so carefully that, if you aren’t looking for them, you would miss them. Their food pile is in a similar fashion, hidden beneath trees and in the dirt. Their entire existence relies on being invisible, on being hidden, on the element of surprise. Their battle strategies and hunting strategies rely on not being seen. It always has. It always will. The Sentries The new generation of sentries are, initially, chosen by the alpha--although, they are paired together by the sentries, and the sentries test each individual pair. If they are to be trained as sentries, all of the current sentries must agree. It must be unanimous. If any one of the sentries has doubts, one of the trainees is put in a new pair, or both are put with regular trainees and an entirely new pair is trialed in a similar fashion. They are paired together as yearlings, before they are trainees, and, when they become trainees, they are taught the ways of the sentries. They train their entire lives for the honor, for years after other trainees have begun their lives as fully-fledged members of the pack, until the old sentries retire, and they take their place. The sentries are forbidden from having mates and offspring. This is to prevent them from being distracted from their duties to the pack. A sentry pair will be stationed at their border for anywhere between one and four days before returning to camp to recover for a day or two, and report their findings to the alpha(s). It depends on how much they see, what they see, and how comfortable they are leaving the border unattended for a brief time. The Eastern Sentries [Blank] and Ronin The Northern Sentries NPC and NPC The Western Sentries [Blank] and [Blank] The Southern Sentries [Blank] and [Blank] The Territory The territory is large, large enough to hide such a wolf pack. Primarily, it is dark, dense forest, hence their name. Their main dwelling, the camp, is a rather large expanse of dens burrowed out beneath trees. The dens all face east, so that they catch even the smallest hint of the morning sunlight as a time to begin their day. The pack alone knows where their campsite is, and it is not marked by anything other than a medium-large sized boulder in the middle of all the dens that no one but the alphas are allowed to stand upon--the alpha stands upon it to address the entire pack, typically in times of need. The dens themselves are not distinguishable from normal trees unless one knows exactly what to look for, and further keeps the pack hidden in times where they need to be invisible. Even throughout the daylight hours, the forest is dark and shadowy, and it is pitch-black at night, near impossible to see. The wolves of the Dark Forest Pack are more adapted to this every-day darkness than other wolves, and can still see outlines and shapes, whereas others would be completely blind. Due to the north having mountains and snow, and snow melts, there is a large river that comes down the side of the mountains. It slows and slims down the further it gets into the territory, and has many, many branches of little streams running off of it and go throughout the different parts of the territory. One of the larger streams that come off of the river flow into the lake to the west, filling it with water to drink. To the north there is a high, expansive mountain range with snow starting at about half-way to the top. It encompasses the entirety of the northern border, making that direction practically impregnable, although the sentries have spotted strangers there before. It is almost impossible to make it to the top by simply scaling the side, and there are hidden pathways that only the northern sentries know of to patrol their border. To the west, the border remains within dark, thick forest, but there is a clearing somewhat close to the border with a small lake. Prey animals and intruders quench their thirst here alike, and the west sentries must be vigilant that loners do not come into the territory for a drink, and steal some of the prey or go further into their home. To the south, there is a meadow--it is one of the only parts of the territory that is not forest. The border goes in an odd circular shape around a large portion of the meadow, controlling all of the large game within it. Herds do not live there permanently, but they are in the area, the meadow is where they remain. It has rolling hills and is a grassy expanse with varying heights of grass. Some areas have grass so tall that it could completely hide a wolf whilst they were standing, and other areas have grass so short that it barely tickles the pawpads of a canid. Prey in the meadow may include, but are not limited to, elk, caribou, musk ox, various kinds of deer (mule deer, fallow deer, etc), various kinds of rodents. Wolves in this area, though, must remember that they are not the only predators there. The eastern border is possibly one of the most dangerous borders. It is the border that is directly neighbored by their current rival pack, and the most likely border to be invaded. It is the border that the previous alphas died fighting for, and the sentries here must be experts at being invisible, even more than the others. If they are seen by an invading party, they will be killed. If they are seen by a patrol of the other pack, they will be killed, or fought. This is the sentry pair that returns to camp the most frequently, often to report scuffles with the patrols, collect food as they are practically unable to hunt for themselves whilst they are being so closely monitored by the other pack, and report activity that they see. The border is in an area that is not quite as dark as the rest of their territory, but it allows them to see further into their rivals territory, and for them to disappear not too far from the border if they need to. Leviathan is a large male who can be easily intimidating to others. He has a large figure, something he gained from his father, and stands at about 34" tall, and weighs easily around the upper to mid 100s. He is heavily muscled, a strong source of power and strength. The male is heavy, not built at all for speed, instead relying heavily on his strength and power in fights. He is also a highly durable male, quite capable of tanking several hits before truly slowing down. He has a long muzzle, and long legs that can carry him at quick speeds, though not as quick as other wolves. His coat is thick, and dense, and a bit coarse to the touch. It aids in protecting him in fights, like many wolves' do, and can be difficult to penetrate by teeth and claws.
Unlike the Alpha Male before him though, his father, he does not hold the stereotypical dark black coat. Instead his coat takes more after his deceased mother, a more medium brown in color. He has hues of chocolate brown mixed in with tans and cream, with the occasional splash of grey on his back, shoulders, and face. His coat is primarily the chocolate color, with cream and tan high lights along his legs, chest, throat, and face. It adds a dynamic look to his coat, and causes it to appear lighter, which can be off putting towards other wolves who believe he should hold a dark coat since he is Alpha.
Leviathan holds a pair of frosty green eyes, and a scent of wood smoke. His voice is a comfortable baritone, it isn't unnervingly deep like a basso can be, but it's still low and a bit husky.
Personality:Leviathan is a male that often comes off harsher than he actually is. Having had to fight tooth and nail to get where he is in the pack has left Leviathan a little rough around the edges. He can be quite serious, with a rather growly personality. He likes to get things to be his way, and he doesn't enjoy it when he doesn't get things his way. It's known that the male can be quite be quite dark, having no qualms with fighting, blood, or anything in between or beyond. He isn't necessarily unfair, but he also into a push over either. He won't tolerate disobediance or disrespect, but if someone approaches him reasonably, he is likely to hear them out and see if a conclusion can be met if their request or complaint is reasonable.
Because of his upbringing, the male is, as stated above, a bit rough around the edges. But he is learning to smooth out a bit. He isn't the most patient male, but he is working on his tolerance and his temper. He understands that listening before reacting is important, and just being understanding in general can be important too. Truthfully, the male wants to be a more benevolent leader than his father was, and wants to see his pack change a bit, but still thrive and hold true to their values and traditions. At least to an extent. Are there somethings he wants to change, or is opening to changing? Yes, but he doesn't want to change was the pack is about. Leviathan is also surprisingly an adaptable male, able to think on his feet when the time needs it. He has had to learn to survive, and a big part of surviving is learning how to flow with the punches. This is something he wants his pack to be able to do as well.
Deeper beneath the surface, Leviathan is a softer male, generous with his affection and considerably loyal. He has a hard time letting others in, but once he does, he can be quite the dedicated and loving male. He is attenative, but protective too. If he were to have a mate, he would happily tend to her needs, and dote on her, and yet he would be incredibly protective of her, and their pups. If anyone were to threaten those he loves, they would be met with an unmeasurable force of violence.

- He is an intelligent male, who is quick on his feet.

- Because he is such a large male, he isn't capable of great speed or agility.
- He doesn't have the best stamina for running either, only running quickly for short distances.
- The male doesn't trust others much, and isn't the type to rely on others in a fight. So he can get in over his head.

Ronin is a female who is large in size, a she-wolf that can often be mistaken for a male because of her appearance. She is tall, standing easily at a bit over 33 inches, and weighing well into the 100s. Her frame is wired with ropey muscle, some of it lean, while some of it is more heavy muscle, built for strength and power. She has more of a lean build than some of the hefty males, but she is more thickly built other females. Some could describe her as thicc, with two c's, maybe three.
Her lean figure comes with a bit of a shorter muzzle, which is not wide, but narrows a bit at the end, giving her a feminine look. She has shorter ears, and fluffy cheeks, softening the hard look that her eyes are normal set in. She has long legs, that are muscular built with power for running and fighting. They end in wide, large paws that help move her through snow. All of her is covered in thick, dense fur, which aids in keeping her warm and also helps protect her in fights as it's difficult for teeth and claws to penetrate. It isn't as long as other wolves' fur, but it still holds body to it. Her chest, especially, is a bit fluffy, giving her the appearance of a deeper chest than what she has. Her fur is definitely thickest and longest around her neck, whether it be her nape or her throat, and while it isn't long enough to considered a mane or anything, it's perfect for cuddling into.
For her color, Ronin used to be an all black wolf, but with age she has begun to grey out. Of course this is expected of black wolves, and it isn't that bad, and does little to make her look older. Her fur has almost a charcoal hue to it, not coming across as completely black, but it's close enough. She is darkest along her back, her fur lighting the closer it gets to her belly. Her cheeks, throat, and belly are all alight grey color. Her nose is the same grey color that matches her coat, and her eyes are a similar flat grey color, though there are flecks of amber, or maybe it's gold, giving her eyes a metallic look. Ronin's scent matches her chilly attitude, it's unusual, like iced raspberries. Fruity with a small hint of something like menthal or icy. Her voice is a lower octave for females, not masculine, but not high pitched either.
Personality:Ronin seems like a female who was raised since birth to do what she does, and they wouldn’t really be wrong. The only pup of her parents to earn the esteemed title, Ronin is a proud female, one who doesn’t take anything from anyone else. Confident and strong, there is a seriousness to the female that offers an aura of indifference towards others. There is a cold way to the female, a simple glare in one's direction can be enough to send them scampering away. Despite being a highly trained wolf, she has no tolerance, no patience, for disobedience or disrespect. She is a highly loyal wolf, not only to her higher ups, but to those who she cares for and those who have earned her respect, which is not an easy feat.
Being a Sentri, the female tends to be rather quiet. She communicates a lot through body language, and isn’t an overly talkative she-wolf. Ro isn’t the type to play games, or relax, part of her almost always seeming on edge. She is highly observant, something that was trained into her at a very young age, along with her stealth. She is rather secretive as well, excellent at bull facing others, and hiding things, even things they want to know, from them. If she doesn’t want someone to know or find out about something, they won’t. If they do, it wasn’t because of her. She tends to keep things rather close to the vest as well, trusting very few enough with the thoughts in her head. It is a lot of work to not only earn her respect, but her trust too.

1. She is a highly trained female, so while she isn't as fast or agile as some wolves, she has learned, through training and experience, how to counter such things.

1. She isn't as fast as smaller wolves, and while she is trained, they will always be faster or more agile than her.
2. She is a darker colored wolf, so she stands out in the colder months when she isn't in the shadows.

Kyomi is a female of average size, not being too large, and not being too small either. She stands at about 30 inches even, maybe a smidge shorter. She typically weighs about 90 - 95 lbs, but she has gained weight with her prengancy putting her about 100 lbs or so right now. She has a more average build, kind of being a happy medium between strong and powerful, and fast and agile. This makes her faster and more agile than larger wolves, but not as strong as them, and vice versa for the smaller wolves. This mean she can hold her own against most thing, at least until back up arrives to help her. She has a feminine build with lean muscle, the softest part of her figure being her belly which is beginning to show.
Her coat is thick and dense, much softer to the touch than most. Her fur is a medly of tan, grey, black, and cream. She has the stereotypical markings of a wolf of her species, black markings along her back, shoulders, and head. The tan of her pelt is along her sides, shoulders, and head, often being found just below the black of her coat. She does have grey on her face, functioning as highlighting for the black portions of her features. The cream of her fur is primarily on her underbelly, legs, neck, and face, and, like the grey, highlights the tan of her coat. I suck at describing it, just look at the pictures. ;-;
She has a pair of soft golden eyes, a bit pale in color so they appear more of a yellow in color. Her voice is soft, and a bit low, but not unfeminine, it isn't high pitched or grating either. Her scent is something comforting, almost soothing; a mix of jasmine and rosemary.

Personality:Kyomi is a female with a very gentle and calm disposition. She is, for the most part, a kind female, one who can be compassionate towards others. She can be a bit quiet, especially with everything going on, but she isn't by any means rude or mean. If someone displeases her she might become a bit frosty towards them, but she isn't going to turn into a mean or aggressive creature bent on blood or revenge. Instead, Kyomi tries to handle everything with grace, trying hard to be mature and set a good example for younger wolves around her who might be looking for guidance.
The she wolf is surprisingly patient despite her youth. She doesn't really seem to have much of a temper, and even if she did get frustrated or angry, she isn't the type of she-wolf to snap and get angry. Of course, being pregnant, there are hormones involved, and she does get a little moody and snappy, but it isnt anything like wolves who are predisposed to aggression or anger. Kyomi is a good listener, always one who tries to be there for those she considers her friends, and tries even harder to supportive to others. All she wants is for everyone to be happy, and that does include herself.
Unfortunately, Kyomi has a bit of a hard time trusting others completely nowadays. Having had her heart broken at least once, she finds it hard to fully trust others and let them close to her heart. She isn't mean, but she can be a bit distant when it comes to highly personal matters. She isn't the type to burden others with her troubles, even if all she wants is someone to confide in. This particular issue with trust extends primarily to males, though it has made her a bit hesitant towards other females as well.

+ Being pregnant, Kyomi is starting to develop those maternal and motherly instincts.
+ Those that she is close with she knows would put it on the line to protect her.
+ Being averaged build, she can normally hold her own in most situations.
- Kyomi isn't the most confident wolf in large social situations.
- With her situation, not everyone is fond of her.
- Being average sized, she normally could hold her own, but not as well against larger wolves. Especially not now. Likes & Dislikes:
+ Eira. She is basically her wife. But they're best friends, and Eira is everything to her.
+ Her pups, and most pups in general, she loves all of them.
+ Cuddling. The female is affectionate and loves to cuddle/touch. She's one of those wolves who kind of casually always is slightly touching whoever she is most comfortable with. It's a comfort to her.
- Crowds, large gatherings, anything with a lot of wolves (3+) make her a bit uncomfortable.
- Feeling useless is a big one for the female. Being pregnant she is a bit limited to what she can and should do.
- The idea of courting again makes her a bit wary, because of what happened before, she is afraid of being abandoned, used, etc. Crush:
