APPEARANCE. . .
In a world that hadn't experienced a tragedy as great as this one, La Notte would be described by many as an abyss that stares back. Although the areas around his short muzzle, throat, back, and paws have slowly begun turning gray, his fur remains so dark in color—tenebrous, even, and so much so that they cannot even be described as atramentous—that it rivals moonless nights. He is akin to a cat-shaped lump of utter nothingness, the only part of him remotely unlike a void being his eyes: colored a blue so effervescently intense, they stand stark against all his black hairs, glinting like sapphire flames in the dark alleyways of Incomlumis. With his eyes closed, he nearly doesn't exist at all; drowning in shadows is as simple as breathing to him, and considering how preternaturally small he is, that task is done faster than the drones can process him as a threat. Indeed, many would say that La Notte is the night itself; alas, "many" no longer exists in this world, but that doesn't mean that he has no clue about how he looks. No, no, no—La Notte is a cat, a feline creature superior to all others; he needn't anyone to tell him what he is and what he is not.

La Notte has gone through many, many hardships, and this can be easily discerned by the sheer amount of... imperfections marring his person. For one, his entire left ear is gone, lost to something he'd rather not speak about, and the other is shredded so horrifically that it's well on its way to the same status as the former. His body spells years of fighting, of battles where he emerged the victor. On his face are nicks and tears, all running in straight, ragged lines, and along his body are even more, though a vast majority are hidden behind his long fur and are further concealed by their already dark complexion. Just where exactly he got all these scars is unknown, for he couldn't have gotten them from near-death encounters with the drones or the like; no, once those machines have gotten their hands on you, there is no escape, so the cat had to have gotten them from somewhere else. Perhaps he'd merely obtained them from the roughness that comes with constantly running away from the Grim Reaper; after all, hiding and sprinting away into the sunset as often as he does does not come without its plethora of repurcussions. It will likely remain a mystery, considering just how little La Notte talks about himself anyway.
