Other Info Merfolk commonly have vibrant colours hair and tails, as well as scales in certain parts of their upper bodies, such as arms and faces. The underwater city is in the deep sea, so little to no sunlight reaches the bottom of the ocean. Merfolk are acusomed to living in a dark environment, but they're night vision is limited, that's why the people of the city grow luminous mushrooms and corals to iluminate the city. Glowing jelly fish drift in groups above the city, and light up the sea like stars in the night sky. Merfolk can breathe underwater and posses gills. They can also communicate with each other through fin, tail and hand movements. They prefer to speak with their native language, which they can speak underwater. All Merfolk are brought up as obedient and respectful children, but some never liked to be controlled. - The Moray. The Moray are a gorup of rebels, working to overthrow the Delmare and free the city people. The Moray are Merfolk who meet up in secret places, and leave messages for each other. The Moray consists of normal civilians, workers in the Delmare palaces and even some of the higher Delmare themselves. - The Delmare. The Delmare are the Merfolk who created the city. They built a safe home for the Merfolk. The Delmare posses magic known as The Art of Irvan. Little is known about this sorcerry, and the Delmare never mention anything about it. They are rarely sighted among other Merfolk. The rules of the city are decided by the 14 members of the Delmare. - Aging. Merfolk age the same as normal humans do, so there'll be no confusing in that i hope! - The city. Na Mara Muriel consists of a many winding streets and alleys, along with housing made of corals and stone. The heart of the city is were the palace was constructed. Five storeys high and open in many places, the palace is a mysterious and magical place (more on that later!) Most Merfolk live in houses dotted around the palace, and their architexture resembles that of a suburban town. The Delmare however live within the walls of the palace. what lies within those enchanting walls is unknown to the commonfolk. the secrets of the city are yet to be discovered! - The Palace: Now you're probably wondering... What about the palace? The palacec is constructed out of while marble and corals. The large building is the tallest in the city, and can be seen from miles away. The heart of the city, The home of the Delmare and the Realm of Magic. Mysteries and Secrets are yet to be uncovered - The Moray Meetings: I've mentioned earlier how the Moray often meet to plan out how they are going to overthrow the Delmare, they're meeting places change frequently however, and secret messages are left within libraries and public gardens. The Moray like to use an eel twirled around a glowing orb as their symbol. Edited at May 15, 2024 12:19 PM by Devil town

Incase you're wondering about Delmare and what they can do: - So basically they each have sort of different powers. They are worshiped like royalty. So there are 14 of them. Half have construction powers sort of. They can build anything they want to in a matter of seconds. The others powers are sort of different. They can create any light source, living or non living. For example, they can spawn bioluminescent jellyfish or mushrooms, or they can create weirdly shaped glowy things. They're powers arent THAT strong, so they can only create small things. None of the normal Merfolk know what they can do, and theyre not immortal, they age with time. But the Merfolk think of them as gods with amazing powers, and treat them like royaly. They rarely leave the palace, so no one knows them. Except of course, the few Delmare who chose to be Moray. They frequently leave the palace to meet with other Moray. The normal merfolk don't know anything about their powers other than the really old ones, which were alive when the Delmare first created the whole city. The Moray on the other hand, know about the Delmare and their powers. Because one or two Delmare work in secret with the Moray, the Moray know most of Delmare secrets. Works for me! Do the Moray know that some of the Delmare are Delmare? Or do they just know they're part of the Moray?
