I suppose you could call it a soft update. It was never announced in the news, unfortunately, which would benefit a lot of players and artists, I'm sure. As of now, digitally drawn/cartoon/chibi human art is allowed anywhere on site, provided it has the proper credits attached and is not hotlinked. The main documents of the site do require an update though, and hopefully that'll be done soon.

Right! So, I'm aware that cartoony human art is now allowed on the forums as stated in the art rules on the forums. There's been a bit of confusion about whether we can sell human art, but I think the general consensus is,, well,, yes.
In the game rules, however, it still says that '28. Pictures/Art of humans that show identifying features are not allowed.'
So, does this mean we're not allowed to post human art in our bios, avatars and banners? Or has it just not been updated yet?
There's so many players who seem to be not aware of the rule change, and I've seen many posts around the forums telling artists not to post human art though the rule has been changed. It's a little confusing, honestly.
So, my main questions are is human art allowed everywhere on the site? Can we sell human art in the form of commissions and adoptables? And will the game rules be updated to match the forum rules? Edited at March 12, 2021 11:21 PM by Eternity

There wasn't a news announcement, that's part of the confusion around recent changes. Edited at March 11, 2021 06:50 PM by Eternity

Alright! Thank you for your clarification on everything. This should clear up some of the confusion both for myself and hopefully other players.
I suppose we'll wait and see for when the main documents are updated.
