1) Wolves have a chance of dying every Monday morning after they turn 15 years old. Before that they cannot die. Not sure what the question is about the monday part lol
2) If the female is in your pack, then you can check out the sales chat to see if anyone is 'studding' their wolves, or you could go to the Trading Post tab under Realms at the top of the screen, then check the box labled 'for breeding' to see wolves in the game who are up for breeding.
Click on the male you want, and there should be a dropdown bar next to how much it costs to breed to him. This dropdown bar will have all of the females in your pack who are able to breed at the moment. Then you select the female and click breed. Same way to breed a male from your pack to a female outside of your pack, but usually you should ask the person who gets the pups if the female is from another pack. Some things to take note of:
- wolves cannot breed until they are two years old
-females can only breed once a year and are pregnant for about 4 real days, or 96 hours, and go into labor for about 4 hours.
-Males can breed 3 times per season.
-The female can have 1-3 pups. The amount of pups is based on the amount of charisma the male has (in the CP list on the wolves' page) and the amount of maternal CP the female has (also on the wolves' page). The higher these stats are, the more likely you are to get more pups.
-Two wolves cannot breed if they are both from your pack, unless they are the alpha male and female. The alpha male and female cannot breed to any wolf outside the pack, and can only breed to each other inside the pack.
3)Free range is just a place people send wolves they don't want (the 'leave pack' option on your wolf when you scroll to the bottom), or where wolves go when they are born in a den with no spots for wolves left. This is why you don't want too many wolves pregnant at the same time, because if there isn't enough room, pups will be free ranged.
Wolves are randomly selected from the free range section and set off to auction, one set of wolves a day. Check the free range page to see when bids start and end. Basically it's like a normal auction.
4)There aren't really giveaways so much as contests, such as the Full Moon Celebration. Go to the 'Games' page under the Realm tab. Full Moon Celebration is from the 5th to 9th every month.
Apples (currency that is bought for around 1000 mush each, on average, and can be used to make customs) can be won for first and second place, and mush for 3rd place, in Howling, Wrestling, Ancestor Finding, and Hunting. Usually premium members, or more experienced members, win these. These games are only during the celebration.
You can also win small prizes of mushrooms in the normal games, or through exploring and defeating enemies. Sometimes in the Forum section under Contests there are also giveaways, but these are done by players.
5) You can't gift wolves. The only way you would be able to do this, if you aren't a premium account, is to put the pup up for sale and PM the person it's for sale. Premium accounts are the only people who can set up private sales.
You could tell them to buy it, then gift them mushrooms, so that the pup technically ends up being free. Or set for 0 mush and tell them to buy it (wouldn't recommend this, someone would probably nab him. Set him for an expensive price, then when the person buys it you can give them back that same amount of mush). You can gift mushrooms by going to Account underneath the Pack tab. At the top of the page there is a "Gift Mushrooms" section. Type their pack number (it's on their page) into the right section and the amount you want to give.
6) There is no way to change affinity unless you buy "Make Friends" for apples in Barter underneath the Realm tab. Other than that, no, affinity cannot be changed.
But affinity only affects how fast wolves will heal when injured, but feeding and watering wolves will increase pack happiness a bit anyways. I usually don't worry to much about affinity.
