This was really helpful! However, I have a question. How do you get birth defects? Is it that you just keep breeding until one's born, or is there something else to it?

Breeding is the only way. You'll get them by random luck

No. These affect the maximum CP a wolf can have in a certain attribute.

Sounds exactly like the defects of the main characters in the book series, Wolves of the Beyond. XD
But those are great ideas.

I believe you get a higher chance for getting a birth defect is that one of the parents (for me usually the mother) has one. I have a wolf with double kidneys and many of her pups had that. (Almost one in every liter!)
