Tucked in the area, a good half hour or so north of Reno, Nevada, lays a large ranch. With long rolling pastures, mostly horses, sheep and a few cows(and chickens of course), the ranch serves it's purpose of helping upcoming youth learn the ins and outs of their future careers in agriculture. (Or, sometimes, it's for public service hours for a variety of projects). Rosanna's Ranch has many different resources for all youth aiming to have a career that works with equine. They feature ranching, rodeo, some veterinary training, herd-work, training, and more. Attendees, or Farmhands, can start at any time and learn many skills that can pass on to their lives now. ---- TLDR: It's on a ranch. Kids go to take care of horses, learn about them (and other farm animals in case that's your character's go-to) and different career pathways. From cattle ranching, sheep herding, horse helping and rodeo-ing. It's all here. Later on, of course, not everything is as it seems. There are strange prints in the dust, fences are broken and sometimes the animals don't seem to act quite right.
Then, the Rancher goes missing. But can you find him? --------- NOT TLDR: Discussion - https://wolfplaygame.com/forums.php?f=36&t=92657 Roleplay - TBD Edited at September 22, 2024 05:22 PM by Zeraphia

Rules: - 2 Characters per person! (This is your kiddo and your horse combined. So you can have 2 kids and 2 horses since they count as one character.) - Farmhands(characters) must be 16+ for the roleplay (but no older than 19 unless you've asked about it and we've discussed how it'll work.) - Semi-Lit (actual semi-lit) which means this is 200+ words (or a few solid paragraphs, I'm not gonna count) with GOOD spelling and grammar. It's like writing a story with other people! Yay! - Horses can not be unbreakable. They wouldn't be on the ranch otherwise. Characters should probably be somewhat friendly with each other. We don't need any Sad Sues, Depressing Daves, etc. be creative! - Magical elements will come in later. So probably leave that out of your sign-up sheet for now. (But be realistic with how your horse looks. Magic shining markings do not exist.) - there's no limit as to where your character can be from, so go wild. Put yeehaw into your signup sheet somewhere. - Reservations last 12 hours. - it's 1986 though, so keep that vaguely in mind when it comes to characters. - Images are allowed but make sure to CREDIT them properly! (HEE images should be allowed I'm 90% sure on that.) Edited at September 15, 2024 11:13 PM by Zeraphia

Name: Quinton Kestler Age: 19 Gender: Male Orientation: Ace/Demi Career: Rancher/Rodeo Appearance: Under normal circumstances, Quinton can totally blend into a crowd. He doesn't have any startling features. There's nothing that really stands out for this particular guy. He has sort of dirty blond hair, soft teal-ish eyes, fair skin with freckles and a height of 6'0" which is pretty standard for most guys. Realistically, Quinton isn't anything special. He's expressive, like most people are, his face more often than not is a storybook for what he's thinking. His clothing is relatively plain most of the time.
He usually wears a dusty grey button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His pants generally swing between khaki or just straight up denim. It depends on the day. Quinton tends to wear a lighter western brimmed hat and dark boots. (c)85543 Personality: Quinton is a relatively relaxed ish person some of the time. But as someone who is healer-coded, his bedside manner could definitely use some work. He's very strict, very to the point and won't take garbage around his work. As the next-best thing to a doctor, Quin is often the first one at the scene of first-aid. He does his best and it's partially why he's looking toward being head of house, to stick around a little longer. Either way, he's sarcastic, snarky, has a witty remark on his tongue almost always. All in good fun, that warm and dazzling grin, a slightly clueless look at times. He does his best to help others have fun as well. But, when he isn't "working" you'll find someone entirely different. Quinton's lopsided grin is more sly and mysterious than he lets on. It's all in who he is. He hides who he once was, all for the idea that it would be better. No one needs to know that, just focus on what he's doing next. He loves to dance, will more than happily teach someone how to dance. Singing? Oh yes. Other: His horse is... to be determined. Yes. Yeehaw my dudes. Edited at September 10, 2024 10:09 PM by Zeraphia

Name: Tainted Rerun Called: Taint Age: 4 Breed: Mustang Gender: Male
Appearance: With a height bordering on the taller side of the mustang breed, Taint has a warm brown base with a white splash of color along his coat. (C)85543
Personality: With a fairly snarky personality, Taint has a tendency to be rather snippy at first. He'll sneak in a nip or two, bump you with his shoulder, test his boundaries and limits and be a pest in general. It isn't until he gets to work with you for a while that he finally might slow down and think about what he's doing.
That being said, Taint has a tendency to fight rather than flee. He'd rather fight back than run away. The only downside to spook-training a horse. They just get dumber. Luckily for Quinton, he has worked with Taint for a few years. They seem to get along fairly well but there's still some hiccups. Edited at September 10, 2024 11:10 PM by Zeraphia
