This is an interactive "game" explore thread in which participants of Kin of the Styx will go on short adventures to catch or befriend a Kin. ONLY post here if you have been accepted and your introductory message is posted. MODS: If this needs to be moved to a different section, please let me know! There are only 3 open slots at any given time, with a 3 slot waitlist once those fill -> Dawnforest Kennel -> Wolf Pride's Kennel -> Open Waitlist -> Open ▩ Locations ▩ -> Cinnamon Field This is a large, vast expansion of rolling, grassy hill, littered with wild cinnamon plants. It gives off the distinct scent of cinnamon with every step, and it's a common place for canines to frolic. -> Dense Pine Forest A very plain-looking forest with lots of trees that are often difficult to weave around. It is a great place to find flora, fauna, and wandering canines, but beware the potential of getting lost yourself. -> Silver Plated Grotto The grotto is a cavern where rich soil's buried into the cracks and bloomed rows of silver-leaved poplar that sticks up and hangs down in every direction. Agouti rabbits are plentiful here, making it a valuable hunting spot for canines. -> Old Carpentry Dump This is a place filled with scrapped projects- unused pieces of wood, broken or warped furniture- splinters galore. However, it's also typically avoided by predators such as bears who know there's little food in it, so it's an option to find canines if you're a fan of risk. -> Arowana Wetlands A wetland containing a slow-moving body of water known as blackwater, which contains colorful Arowana fish. Even the canines know they're too precious to eat, but young adults and pups are often found trying to scoop them out of the water. Edited at June 17, 2024 05:56 PM by Ludicrous Hills

@Dawnforest (Dawnforest Kennel) Your journey begins as the shuttle comes to a screeching stop in front of the hiking trail, a small, bent sign reading Silver Plated Grotto in discreet sterling-silver lettering. The path is twisted in tall ferns, bit every few steps a distinct poplar flower sticks up from in between the grasses, giving you a guideline toward the almost ethereal space. You're left with a simple choice. (A) Follow the trail directly to the main entrance of the Grotto (100%) (B) Move off the path and look for a lesser-known entrance to the cavern, but risk getting lost (C) Follow the hiking trail even if the petals are luring you elsewhere Edited at June 17, 2024 05:19 PM by Ludicrous Hills
