Myrul Pack History: Amid the marshy lands of the SouthEast, a group of desperate wolves came together during the Dark Age, forming a strong alliance in order to survive the waging war between Fenguard, Vespen, and Kavu. Though they came together at the 4th anniversary of the war's starting, it wasn't until three years later that they declared themselves a Pack, two weeks after the war ended with the massacre of Kavu's remaining members. Their leader at the time, Zenith, made no efforts to get on beneficial terms with the other two packs, despite the fact that they had just formed a strong alliance in order to destroy Kavu and could easily be seen as a massive threat to the newfound pack.
It was because of this, that a mere three months after having declared themselves a pack, Myrul's Alpha was killed by a Fenguard elite, having taken a small hunting party of himself and three capable hunters outside Myrul territory. While stalking their prey, the group was attacked by the three Fenguard Elites, sparing only one of the hunting party so he could bring back word of their leader's death. Though the strike swayed the young Pack's confidence and rapid growth, it did not prove fatal, a new leader rising within the month. The ruthless female, Nadina, strengthening the pack and bringing a new age of prosperity to Myrul. Now, four years later, these golden years are slipping away as another war threatens, this time Myrul amidst it all. Vespen, a Pack relying heavily upon the pure blood flowing through their veins, has found that their Alpha male was a casualty of the winter's White Cough, having been unusually brutal. The Alpha Female, Sarafina was left to care for the only litter she had from their marriage. It became known across the lands that the litter bore two pups, one male and one female. This was perfect for the pack, those two being the main priority from then on as they would become the Alpha pair and uphold the pure bloodline. Yet, not days after this news had passed through the ears of even the loners who traveled the shoreline, a wolf slipped into the den in which the pups were being cared for, kidnapping the male heir and killing one of two guards who patrolled the territory around the den. Outraged, Vespen called for revenge, searching far and wide for the stolen heir and placing the blame on Myrul, as they were known for their Shades(skillful warriors who had mastered the art of slipping into enemy territory and uncovering information, or assassinating valuable targets). Despite the fact that no member of Myrul had left the territory when the kidnapping had happened, they refused to let their territory be searched, claiming that their oath of innocence should be enough. Culture: Myrul's dark start and many years under Nadina's ruthless guidance have forged the basis of their tough ways. The pack, unlike most others, does not have designated hunters, instead training their young to all go through the 6 month training period it takes to be a warrior. Once a member is a warrior, they are able to split off into different factions of the pack, each with a special purpose and an additional training period correlating to the difficulty of the skills required in that faction. Myrul takes great pride in the training of their young, seeing each new warrior as an addition to the pack's strength and prosperity. Because of this, they have shaped their pack around protecting and seeing to their pups and juveniles, the future of the pack weighing down on the shoulders of each young wolf. As a result of the important role pack prosperity plays in Myrul's daily life, a tradition from the first litter born to the pack has allowed them all to thrive even more. Out of each litter that has finished their 6 month training, it is possible that the pup with the most potential is chosen by the Lead Shade to be trained in the ways of Myrul's greatest warriors. Any pup that refuses is let choose their own faction, but becoming a Shade is an opportunity that many ambitious young wolves would never pass up. Once the year of harsh, difficult training has picked out the strongest applicants, any wolf who makes it to becoming a shade is greatly respected by the pack, their health and strength being extremely important and allowing them to hold priority to other wolves. A Shade is highly respected, and many pups aspire to become one. Religion: Having been started by wolves from all across the lands, Myrul has no main religion. Individuals are allowed to choose who and what they wish to believe in, religion holding no importance to the pack. Many members of Myrul are atheist, choosing to believe in only what they can see, touch, or hear. Rituals and Ceremonies: Tradition is not something that extends far in Myrul, but certain rituals and ceremonies have been established. Coming of Age: For a pup coming up on their first birthday, the six month training period to be a warrior has just come to an end, their training finally completed when they choose a faction to join at their Coming of Age Ceremony. From then on they will join the den-site of their faction, commencing their training to become a skilled, helpful member of the pack. Full-moon Howl: After having finished their faction training, a juvenile is able to join the pack for their first Full-moon howl, where they are given their first faction task and accepted into the pack as an adult. The Full-moon howl happens every full moon, the adult members of Myrul gathering in the rocky clearing at which Pack meetings take place to howl as a pack. Their joined voices give each wolf strength and travel far across the ground, displaying Myrul's strength to other packs. Territory: Myrul territory is mostly open marshlands. Because of this, trees and canopy are often difficult to find. Prey such as mink, raccoons, opossums, muskrats, beavers, frogs, turtles, and many species of birds and insects are commonly found in Myrul marshland. Towards the Northeast of their territory trees become more common and the marshes come to an end. The open land and scarcity of large prey such as deer, elk, moose, ect. have forced Myrul to have a different den-site for summer and winter, their territory stretching across 37 square miles. Because of the sheer size of their land, the pack is only able to patrol and maintain protection for 24 square miles at a time, the boundary of their active territory shifting at least 2 times throughout the years the pack moves to a different den-site. Landmarks: Coming soon... Foreign Relations: Vespen - Negative Fenguard - Neutral Joining: The amount of training each pup goes through to secure a rank in Myrul is extraordinary, but leaves little space for outsiders to join their ranks. The close ties of loyalty to the pack put non-pack-members at a disadvantage if they seek to join the ranks of Myrul. To a wolf not born to the pack, the faction of Shades are off-limits, and any wolf who wishes to join Myrul must first be approved by the Alpha and go through a 3 month trial period. During this time, the wolf will rotate through factions, spending a month in each one(Other than the Shade Faction). After this time has passed and the wolf has proved their usefulness, the faction leaders will gather along with the Alpha and decide whether to accept the new wolf into the pack, and which faction the wolf will join. Individuals in this trial period are called "Shadows". Edited at April 30, 2020 03:45 PM by ArrowStrike

The Code: "The Code" is what Myrul members refer to when speaking of their Laws, the code that governs their behavior and actions. The breaking of any law results in banishment, meaning that if the banished wolf is seen again, they will be killed on sight. - Leaving the territory is not permitted unless you are given permission by your faction leader or the Alpha, but you cannot go to the leader of a faction you are not a part of and get permission to leave the territory. An outing such as this must last no more than 2 days.
- Every upcoming adult must go through the Full-moon Howl before they are given their first task as an adult.
- Never betray the plans or secrets of Myrul to an enemy.
- Mating with wolves outside of Myrul is not to be accepted.
- Outsiders are not to be let into the territory, although they may enter if they are deemed not a threat and have a good reason for entrance.
Factions: Guard Faction: The main purpose of the Guard Faction is to keep the territory safe from outsiders and any threats. They can join in on the occasional hunt, but are mostly patrolling the land or sending out small groups to take care of located threats or predators. Because of the large territory Myrul holds, those in the Guard Faction are forced to remain very fit, their stamina built up for long runs across the open territory. As well as this, Guards spar with each-other often, training hard as their life may depend on it. Additional training: 3 months Lead Guard: - Zuko || Male Guards: - Aleka || Female Hunting Faction: The members of the hunting faction are primed to track and kill prey, providing food and the means to survive for the rest of the Pack. Each Hunter is capable and strong, and without these wolves the pack would not be able to sustain itself. Additional Training: 3 months Lead Hunter: - Sierra || Female Hunters: - Maya || Female - Ace || Male Omega Faction: Though technically a faction, the Omega Faction is made up of only one or two wolves. The job of the Omega Faction is simple. They clean the dens, pup-sit for mothers and keep the peace. Oftentimes Omegas will tell stories to youngsters, passing down Pack history and teaching important lessons such as obeying The Code and always remaining loyal to the Pack. Oftentimes Omegas are preyed on by wolves as a way to vent their stress and if they don't learn to avoid certain members, Omegas may not last for long. It can be a stressful life, but in the end an Omega enjoys a free outlook on life that many other individuals do not have time to sustain. Additional Training: 1 month Omegas: - Rico || Male Shade Faction: The strongest warriors in the Pack, Shades, use their skills to sneak into other packs and extract important information or assassinate a certain target. They are masters of deception, learning to remain difficult to spot even when standing in plain sight, their senses heightened by their training. Shades can easily sneak up on others without being heard, and learn to mask their scent as well, hiding their trail with expert ease so as not to be followed. Their leader is known as the "NightShade" and fear for the title is common across loners and other packs alike. Additional Training: 6 months NightShade: - Ravi || Male Shades: - Hakan || Male Alpha Faction: Though not acknowledged as a faction, this group is made up of the Alpha pair, their wisdom and expertise guiding the rest of the pack through any difficulties that might come. Alpha Male: - None Alpha Female: - Nadina Healer Faction: The healers provide cures and treatments for injuries and illnesses, helping Myrul to fight through battles and outbreaks of disease. Healers: - Anzu || Female Others: Pups: - Nyla || Female Apprentices: - Okami || Male - Mohawk || Male Elders: - Evander Total members: 13(7 male, 6 female)

They were very close, but Hakan was more ambitious, while Lallo was playful and easy-going, kinder than his brother and able to make friends easily. Neither of the pups knew of what their Alpha was doing to the other packs, and neither were strong enough to protect themselves when Vespen and Fenguard attacked. Hakan ran into the forest to hide, watching from his cover as his mother and father were killed by a Vespen warrior. He hadn't seen his brother, but knew that he as well must have been killed in the attack. Hating himself for not having been strong enough to protect his family, Hakan ran away, his aching paws carrying him far from Kavu's territory, where he was found by a she-wolf who he soon learned was called Anzu, and a member of Myrul. Seeing that he was just a pup, Anzu took him to Myrul’s Alpha and asked to raise him as her own pup, as she was sterile, unable to have children despite that being one of her only wishes. The Alpha agreed, and Hakan was taken in by Myrul. When his Coming-of-Age Ceremony came, Hakan had trained very hard during his six months in Myrul, and Ravi saw much potential in him. He took in the pup as his apprentice and Hakan began to learn the ways of a Shade. His skills grew and he became a very skilled fighter, yet it was never enough for him. He continued to train, growing and growing as he obsessed over becoming the best. It was his fear that there would be another attack, this time on Myrul, the fear that in this attack, Anzu would be killed and there would be nothing he could do about it.
