How will the Elements choose their vessels?

The recently deceased humans are chosen by not how they died, but by how they lived. So a sweet, calm, and loving person who's died will be chosen by a related element. They will appear and be judged by the element council, this group of older vessels who gave up their element powers are the ones who pass judgment. If they acquiesce your soul, you are sent back to earth--not as a human but as a vessel to an element.

Who are the Element Council?

EC are old vessels. They are VERY judgmental, old geezers who can't understand the emotions of others. They are wise though, so their knowledge is sought.

Do the main elements have control over the vessel?

While some elements are against others, yes. Due to being passed down, elements alone have emotions. They can fully take control of their human vessel, or be mute.

do the elements live in places separate from humans? do humans know they exist? does contact between two elements create another element or is it when two elements feel strong love for one another?

The elements realm( The Divine Nexus)is a stunning place to visit when you have recently died. Their realm is separated by a gateway to Earth, any element can access it through their powers.

The only way a new element can be born is when both elements are in their natural state. Not necessary to have strong feelings for each other, as long as their vibrate some sort of “ feeling” and the contact is made through a single kiss--a new element is born.

okay this is a bit dumb but are there houses, tailors, bakeries, and things of the like in the elements realm? is there a monetary system or are things just more available to the elementals that are more important?

Elements don't necessarily have homes or a town. Their realm just Consists of the divine nexus. Which holds just the judgment center and meetings. Some elements stay in their natural habitat, as the Earth element would stays in the woods, Wind element sits on clouds. Etc.

Let's say one element got in trouble and needs help, or assistance from another. They would have to go to the elderly council of asshats and request a hearing. But some elements are treated differently then others.

are some people who are elementals from the 80s, Medieval times, and the 1700s or are they all from one time period? can they all understand each other or do language barriers get in the way?

Yes. Elements aren't just powerful orbs, they come from periods of each era. So let's say my guy is from 2003, his element is super old and my guy would have slight visions of the year 1800. Hence those elements can control their vessel. ( This is considered a GOOD thing. The council doesn't need the humans getting out of hand so they try and pick the most feeble humans to control )

Time: 8'o clock

Weather: Raining

How long have they been going back and forth? What was Isozaki doing, as his arms lifted in the air, he couldn't stop this burning inside his chest. It felt like he was dying, like his heart was being shattered into pieces, his locs tied up behind him became loose--til they were so loose, the tie slipped from his hair; grabbing the tie before it could fall Isozaki retied his hair, just in time to come to his sense on to why he was yelling at his beloved.

" I can't even look at you right now Cinnamon..." Just upon saying his nickname, Isozaki clenched his hands into a fist---how could his beloved, his lover do this to him; if anything maybe Isozaki could forgive him, maybe move on from this heart break-yes! They could still be together, they could still have their beautiful moments together again, so why did Isozaki want to push Ciman? Maybe if he felt as much pain as Zaki, he could understand why he felt this urge to make him pay.

Revenge? Was that Zaki, his greenish eyes stared at the floor, as his head hung low--his sorrowful expression didn't give enough back-story, no--just being sad wasn't enough for Ciman, this man wanted him to cry, he wanted Zaki to be enraged. Some people would ask who the other guy was, but not Zaki--all he cared about was Ciman, so while speaking his voice cracked," How dare you Ciman! How dare you treat me like I don't matter, yes...we're having hard times together but you decided to leave....to find someone better than me...without...any warnings...you decided I wasn't enough." Deranged by his madness, Zaki grinned, taking a step forward to the man," Does he know all your secrets? What have you told this man about yourself? How often did you smile at him---just..." He paused.

Zaki was many things, selfish---a bit crazy and possessive. Traits you think a person should get rid of, no; Ciman knew what he was before dating--if anything Zaki assumed the man enjoyed being talked about like an object, something to show off and hold close. Maybe he was wrong. Wrong for months? Shaking his head, Zaki started laughing," I wish I never knew you, you aren't....you have decided that free will was more important than just putting up with my bullshit.", Sighing, Zaki lifted his hand and cupped his face, leaning slightly back to give his shoulders a nice stretch.

Laughter. Joy. Zaki never knew he would understand these sensations until later on in life," I'm going to kill whoever took you, I'm going to get my Ciman back..." And with those final words, Zaki turned away to walk out the front door. Pondering why he even came over here, this man couldn't bear another moment staring at his beloved, all he could see was someone else kissing those soft lips--staring into his eyes, touching his face. That was his job! Those belonged to Zaki and only him, how dare he give another man the chance to touch his property. Zaki found himself at a crossing road, the light was red; giving him some free seconds to think.

" Someone else touched him."

" They have seen him smile, and laugh. They were probably laughing at you!"

Taking shallow breaths, Zaki clenched his jaw tightly and glared at his phone," Who is he Ciman?! Dammit! How fucking dare!! That fucking bitch! That fucking man, that liar, he lied! He sat in my face and lied, how fucking dare he--fuck him, fuck him and that little bitch he's now seeing! Fuck their whole family, even the dog!!", Everyone knew about Zaki's outbursts and his poisonous thoughts. It would consume him before he had enough time to think rationally, yet it seemed like he didn't care.

Caring. As Zaki said, fuck their dogs. He lifted his head and watched as the heading lights turned from red--to--green. He stepped forward walking, how could Ciman find someone who could probably treat him better--that's against the rules, he played so dirty. But something in Zaki ached, Ciman had to watch him walk away.

Zaki is alot of things, but boy did he love Ciman more than anything--it was literally killing him to hear him yell at Ciman. And sure it happens often enough for Zaki to get used to it, but at the same time, he didn't want to make Ciman seem small, worthless. He would never want that---

" Truck! Dude Truck!!"

Abruptly Zaki was yanked from his thoughts to see headlights through his eyes," Fuc-!!"

drip

drip

Zaki made a quick promise right then, he'll be back. His story wasn't finished and he'll be damned if he was going to leave Ciman alone. Even after death, Zaki had this beautiful man on his mind. Ha. What a joke, what a pathetic joke played on Zaki's part. Some might even believe Zaki was laughing as his limp body was being examined.

What would become of Ciman if he left? Would he be much happier? Would he be sad; questions Zaki answered for himself; he was so hateful toward the man, he didn't even want to hear his voice--he told Ciman he didn't want to look at him anymore. How could he? Maybe this was faith.

" Ooo, I get a very angry one"

Circled by darkness, Zaki blinked and opened his eyes to find an orb floating in the air, its brightness blinding him," W--who are you? Are you God?", He asked, inching closer to the warmth it provided, it was so cold; speaking of cold, Zaki glanced around," Where am I? It's so dark...", Maybe this was hell, maybe Zaki was being punished? Hasn't he suffered enough?!

" I am Xemteus, can you see me, child?"

" I can. "

Zaki stared upon the being, inching even closer until he was crawling," I....need your warmth Xemteus...may I have it?" He begged, reaching his hand out to take hold of the orb, only for it to inch away--it was like a game of catch," Have you forgiven him...? Has that burning sensation in your chest ameliorated?", Not understanding the question, Zaki stood up--stumbling here and there before finding his balance and even then he was like a newborn fawn. His green eyes darkened," I have not...I wish not to forgive him." Xemtreus floated closer, thinking upon itself that this man was a good vessel to use--he was perfect.

Finally being able to reach Xemtreus, Zaki grabbed the orb and fell to his knees. What to do? Well, he opened his mouth and swallowed the orb, smacking his lips to favor any taste it felt behind which was zero to none, Zaki only blinked once before standing before a court of people," The hell?",

" He swallowed Xemtreus...that's new." They spoke as one, staring upon Zaki," You are now this human, find us the Ice Element that is your life goal and only purpose of living Fire Element."

Tilting his head, Zaki blinked," Why do I have to find him.?", He asked, taking in the scene of the group," Your only purpose is to find the Ice Element, whoever his vessel is---"

Ciman was silent. His lips were pressed so tightly together that it looked like he never had lips at all. Leaning against the counter, Ciman looked away, anywhere except Zaki’s eyes. It was not that he did not have the courage to admit what he did— he admitted the truth to Zaki himself so courage had little to do with it— but it was just that was what he had been conditioned to do. “Conditioned” was not the right word, more like “trained.” Like a fucking animal. It was not just Zaki, so it was impossible to blame him for everything, especially when Ciman had only realized just how much he had been trained— the word was now starting to make him gag— about a month ago. It might have been to prove something— that he was not just some object— or a culmination of their arguments, but two nights ago, Ciman went home with someone other than Zaki. This morning, Ciman admitted the affair to Zaki.

Her name was Daliah. Ciman was rare to laugh or smile with strangers but he could not help it when Daliah spotted him at Ciman’s work. Her eyes bulged out of her head as she screamed— across a goddamn mall, mind you— quote: “Oh my fuck! It’s that pencil guy!” Somehow, Daliah recognized him from General Education class because Ciman had one bright pink pencil he used for taking notes. Needless to say, Ciman could not help but laugh as Daliah, a classmate he barely knew, was dressed in a shrimp mascot and screaming about him. She lost the job she was trying out for due to her outburst, but she seemed more concerned with apologizing to Ciman after the fact. She didn’t even know why she did it but it made Ciman laugh each time it was brought up. Since then, the two had been friends. Daliah was passionate and energetic, loud and occasionally obnoxious, but she was sweet and gentle. Maybe that was why he went to her and not Zaki when he got extremely wasted, a sobbing mess. Maybe that was why he cheated on Zaki with her. Maybe…

Ciman could never say who it was he slept with, of course.

Zaki would murder her.

The air between them was dense and heavy like a cold, misty fog with his body feeling numb as if to prove this. Ciman’s nervous eyes looked up slowly in Zaki’s direction, as if the mere act of looking at the other would spark him into a burning ball of rage. Ciman flinched as Zaki’s fists clenched and he barked in a loud, harsh tone, preparing himself internally.

“You’re right… we… I should have talked to you,” Ciman admitted quietly, squeezing his eyes shut as he sucked in a sharp breath as Zaki stepped closer. So much for trying to break down what he had learned. His jaw tensed. Dammit, why couldn’t he say something— anything? Zaki had a right to be mad, but this? This shouting should not have been tolerated! “Why do you assume it was with a man? Is it so hard to believe I preferred a woman?” I preferred a woman over you. Ciman’s words were cold and harsh, sharper than he had intended but it was at least something. Ciman needed to have said something or else this one act of rebellion would have been for nothing.

Despite how harsh Ciman had been— Ouch— Zaki’s words hurt far more.

“I wish I never knew you, you aren't....you have decided that free will was more important than just putting up with my bullshit.”

Ciman only hoped his punishment ended with those words, but it only escalated as Zaki grabbed his face.

Jerking at Zaki’s touch, Ciman gripped the counter and pressed as hard into it as possible in a faulty attempt to escape. Zaki’s wild, crazed eyes burned Ciman with passion, anger, jealousy, love, possession, and fury and Ciman froze under his gaze as he stumbled to find his words, his footing, his breathing— was he even breathing?— due to Zaki making his thoughts run in an endless stream of screams that never ended or so much as paused. Ciman’s weak brown eyes were terrified.

I’m going to kill whoever took you, I'm going to get my Ciman back…”

My Ciman.

Zaki let him go, turned sharply, and left.

My Ciman.

Ciman’s grip seemed to turn his knuckles white as he stared off in the vague direction where Zaki had been.

My Ciman.

After a moment, when Ciman was sure Zaki— no, Isozaki— was gone, he slid to the floor as his eyes welled up and he brought a hand to his mouth.

My. Ciman.

Biting into his palm as he began to silently scream, his head thumped into the cabinet of the counter behind him as his fists slammed repeatedly into the floor. The words “my Ciman” played continuously in his head, a broken record finely crafted from hell that he tried to silence with each pound of his fist. He was unsuccessful in every attempt. Vision blurry with tears, chest brimming with adrenaline, and fist plagued by numbness, Ciman only stopped when his phone began to buzz. His red eyes could barely make out the name that appeared but he already knew who it was.

Her husky voice answered the phone as soon as he hit the green button.

“Ciman, I need you to go pick up something for your sister. She needs lunches for this week and has not stopped asking for more and more and— Christ. Ciman, I miss you so much. I— I remember how you never used to complain like this. I don’t know where I went wrong with her. She just never stops complaining. You need to visit me more often… Please, it can be just like old times with just you… and me…” Ciman rubbed his eyes, his expression now back to being as blank and empty as it was back when Isozaki first yelled at him. “Ciman?” There was a pause. “Are you there?”

Yes…

Ciman did not remember how long she talked for, but he remembered how it ended, his head repeatedly banging back against the cabinet as he hadn’t moved from the floor. He had opened an orange container at some point and popped enough pills in his mouth to numb his pain. Clearly not enough to get him through this whole conversation without any hiccups.

“I love you.”

“Uh-huh.”

“Say ‘I love you’ back.”

“I love you back.”

“Ha. You’re very funny these days…”

“Tell Chesil I said hi.”

“You can’t give me a proper goodbye yet you want me to say hello to that brat?”

“Yes.”

A sigh came through from the other end as he could distantly hear her fingernails drumming against a table. “… Alright, I will say ‘hi’ but only for you, my—”

Ciman hung up.

Moving from the floor to the store seemed to take no time at all and every movement felt like some distant fever dream. Soon enough, he was opening the freezer door of the small market but he had no clue what to grab. Pizza bites? Fish sticks? Fuck, he had no clue what Chesil would even want. His little sister was always so resilient and resourceful, but she was a picky eater. Middle schoolers, am I right?

Ciman continued to stand with the door open, the cold slowly spilling out when a little girl rushed next to him and reached past him to grab the dinosaur nuggets. She looked up at him for a second and he looked down at her. Her hair was as orange as the bag with freckles like Ciman all over her dirty-covered face. After a moment, he smiled and stuck his tongue out at her. She repeated his action with a growing smile. Suddenly, Ciman stuck his pointer fingers in his mouth and pulled his lips into a big smile, crossing his eyes and sticking his tongue out further. The little girl squealed, the bag in her hands crinkling as she held it closer to her chest with a repressed giggle. She had a gap between her teeth, which was only seen when she gave a large, childish grin.

“Zoe? Zoe?” a concerned voice called. Ciman instantly stopped the goofy face as a burly woman with bright red hair rounded the corner, the wrinkles under her eyes contorted with worry before spotting the little girl. “Oh, Zoe! Where— Never run off on me again, you silly goose!” She seemed to be trying to sound mad, but the girl never seemed to buy the act as she only giggled, leaving Ciman to cling to her mother’s leg. Ciman looked up to the woman who held Zoe close with a warm smile as she shook her head.

Looking at Ciman, the mother silently mouthed “thank you” and Ciman just chuckled, taking a page out of Zoe’s book and grabbing chicken nuggets for Chesil.

Only one of the resisters was open at the time and the cashier was seeing one customer already. Ciman’s eyes glanced around the store and down to the bag of nuggets in his hand. Maybe he should go grab more? Maybe some gummy bears— Chesil’s absolute favorite— to make her lunches better or… Ciman’s eyes wandered and landed on the man by the cashier and on the… on the… Holy shit.

The customer had a gun.

His skin was deathly pale like fresh snow and his leg bounced anxiously, hissing “come on” and “hurry up” at every second like a snake held by its tail. His face was mostly covered by his hoodie and ball cap, but his bloodshot eyes would dart back and forth between the near-sobbing cashier and—

“What the fuck are you looking at?!” the man barked at Ciman.

Ciman blinked, staring at the man absentmindedly before looking away coldly. “Nothing. Sorry.”

The man stared at Ciman, his eyes melting Ciman before turning and landing back on the cashier. Young, dark haired, and shaking, the girl, who must have been in highschool, did her best to slip money out of the register and probably into some bag Ciman couldn’t see from where he was standing.

“Hurry the fuck up! Do you want to get me caught??” the man whispered to her, clicking the hammer back, causing her to flinch and make the sound of a mouse being stepped on.

Ciman grit his teeth. He could not just stand back and watch this. As much as he wanted to not get involved, that girl deserved better. Fuck, of course, he had to be the hero. Ciman took a deep breath.

“Hey dipshit!”

The gunman looked up in time to have the nuggets thrown directly at his face, both splitting open to distract him and giving an opening for Ciman to punch him square in the jaw, knocking the man to the floor. The gun clattered against the floor and Ciman’s fist met his left cheek, then his right, then his left again. The man raise one hand to try and deflect or stop the punches with little success as the other flailed on the floor, leading to yet another blow to his right cheek before—

Bang!

At first, Ciman did not feel it. It felt numb, if anything. Then, an overwhelming burning sensation dug into his flesh as the man pushed Ciman off of him.

“J-Jesus… Jesus fuck! I shot him! I fucking—”

Though a loud ringing filled his ears, he could faintly hear the cashier shouting, the gunman leaving without another sound. Ciman flopped over on to the cold tile floor, gasping painfully for air. He began to grasp and claw at his chest, praying for the pain to fade. He wanted to scream to sob to speak but a mix of blood and coffee from this morning rose from his throat as he choked on the taste of bitter copper. He stared up at the luminous bulbs, their lifeless light illuminating his final moments as he died on the cold tiles of a off-brand supermarket in a small fucked-up town.

What a pathetic way to die.

I’m sorry Daliah. Sorry Isozaki. And fuck Chesil! I am so… so…

The pain subsided, dulled, numbed, and Ciman closed his eyes.

Ugh…Another boring vessel full of regrets…

Ciman’s eyes burst open as pain burned in every vein of his body, like icicles injected into him and piercing him from the inside out. He was surrounded by empty nothingness and he looked around desperately to see something, anything. His head, his lungs, his chest, all ached from the cold. Every inch of him shook and shivered and he never felt so alone.

“Is-s-s anyone th-th-there?” Ciman’s words were nearly incomprehensible with how much his teeth banged together. “Please…! I need… I need…”

The name Jökla is my own,” a booming voice from behind him called. In all this nothingness, there sat a sphere that radiated a cool glow, illuminating the void. “Am I seen by you, tiny fool?

“Yes-s-s…” Tears welled up in Ciman’s eyes but they froze to his skin the moment they touched his skin. He reached a shaky hand towards the orb and suddenly the pain in his hand faded. His nails scraped against the ground in a poor attempt to pull himself closer. “Pl-Please…! It all hurts-s-s!”

Do you have the will to take control?” The haunting voice was devoid of emotion and only grew more powerful the more Ciman managed to crawl towards it. “The capacity to resign yourself to either pain or the strangling cold?

Ciman’s lungs ached as he struggled for air. That orb, the closer he got, dulled the pain. Ciman needed to get closer. Pushing himself onto one knee then his feet, Ciman stumbled back a step at first before steading himself, gasping for air.

“I’ll do—” he shuffled closer one shaky step— “whatever—” he lurched forward a stronger step— “it takes…!” Ciman lunged for the ball, managing to grab it in his twitching hands before he fell to his knees. Supporting himself on one hand, Ciman’s locs hung in view as he looked at the sphere in the other.

With Jökla finally in his grasp, he pulled the orb to his chest, holding her close and bringing her into his wound. He was not sure why he did this but it just felt like the right thing to do. Ciman closed his eyes as he finally felt some semblance of relief. When he opened them, he was no longer in the void.

“What the shit…?”

Suddenly he was standing in front of a court of people and lo and behold there was—

“Isozaki??”

" Is he broken? "

" Did Xemtreus chose wrong?"

Isozaki stared at the beings, his hands gripping the empty air as he clenched his jaw into a crazed deranged smirk," W...why am I here huh? Why am I burning inside? Why do I wish death upon everything! Huh! Huh! Answer me you fucking weird ass robed bastard!", He stepped closer to the council who gave each other glances. Ioszaki assumed they were laughing at him, they had to be--even if they didn't have faces or a single voice, they were bitching about him. They had to be, no other could explain Isozaki's rage. He had enough to deal with, suddenly they spoke together;

" You're dead?"

As if they were confused about why Isozaki couldn't tell if he was dead or not, they stared at him shaking. Upon shaking his head slowly, Isozaki laughed," Haha! That's a good joke, you think I'm dead? I.....no...I was...walking and." Why couldn't he remember anything?

" Xemtreus, this vessel is rather peculiar, don't you think?"

The element was noiseless.

" Who the fuck is Xemtreus?! I'm Isozaki. I'm...Isozaki...you know." His voice strained and his eyes lowered, how did he get here?

" Xemtreus is fucking around." They spoke out of character with a growl, lifting their strange-like hands, and as a circular vision of magical emptiness appeared, Isozaki turned toward it, his eyes scintillating.

It was him this morning!

He stared at himself, did he always look like that? Did his eyes have dark bags under them, he lifted his hand to touch his face and stared back at the vision; he was walking," See! I was walking.....I was always walking...I never stopped!", He tried to convince them, but their response was nothing short of help, he turned back to the void and frowned, he noticed how he would walk, with such anger. He blinked reflecting on why he was such in a mood," My boyfriend! He cheated on me! Listen, I need to get back to him! I should have never yelled at him, can I leave here? A door? A door somewhere?!", He shouted staring around until he heard the words--

" Truck! Dude truck!?"

That's right. The slow culmination made sure to relish every bit of Isozaki, he first shook his head and smiled," I didn't...did I? I....couldn't..I evaded...I vaulted...I moved?", He lifted his head to stare at his own lifeless body, his face curled into disgust at his death; how could he die like this? How could he require help from anyone other than himself? Slowly blinking his eyes he turned toward the group and offered a warm terrifying smile," Whatever you have done to me, I don't care...", He spoke softly, moving his hand to remove a necklace from his pocket--a necklace with Ciman name on it," I don't know if my beloved would be sad of my passing, but I want a favor." Lifting his eyes, he noticed they were tuned in," Make me disappear."

" Disappear?"

Without skipping a beat, Isozaki explained himself," My beloved has such a weak heart, he hurt me sure....but he's fragile. Like a stunning flower among weeds. Sure he cheated, and sure I have yet to revenge my aching heart." Clinching the necklace, he gave a low growl," I hate him sure, and wish nothing but heartache in return of mine. Yes. Much heartache." Isozaki never wanted to forgive Ciman, but that doesn't mean he needed to know of Isozaki's demise. " Make my death nothing more than a thought! I don't want my beloved to know I'm dead, he doesn't deserve to know I....loved him til death. " Ciman wasn't going to make Isozaki a fool anymore.

He slid the necklace back into his pocket and awaited a response," We do have great power, much to your fantasy of this...beloved of yours. I'm sure they aren't thinking of you.", Ouch.

But they were right, why would Ciman even give his death a second glance? This man stared at his burning hands and frowned, he was a monster now--even if he managed to free himself from this cage, he was dead. He couldn't do much anyway, his slow breathing made him realize his long locs changed color, the redding tips visible now, He untied his hair and retied it, Recalling all the times Ciman and him were together, kinda like a flash of his whole life.

It always started at home. His father was never around, and his mother would always blame him--Isozaki for that cause. " If only I gave you up, he would still be with me! If only I stopped caring about you early! How could you do this to me Isozaki?". Funny right? How could Isozaki be so selfish? He wasn't thinking of his mother's feelings when he was born, he only thought of himself and cared about himself ever since he opened his baby fawn-like eyes. Teenager Isozaki was no better, receiving the backhand of his mother as she recalled being in love and finding her one and only--only for Isozaki to scare him off, his father came back sometimes. But the man never actually saw Isozaki, his mother learned her lesson from the last time she tried to introduce her son to his father.

" Never again right Mother? I shall stay hidden so you can find happiness."

When Isozaki grew older, all he did was breathe and eat. Nothing more and nothing less. Until he met Ciman. His beloved. Maybe his mother's act of love followed him, how he would protect what was his--how he would make sure no other man or woman stared at his Ciman. He claimed Ciman before they even knew of each other--they were faith. Even if Ciman believed his control over Isozaki was falsified, the story always begins with one person willing to kill life itself to protect what belongs to them---and that was Isozaki. The many fights, the many assumptions. Isozaki couldn't even go one day without Ciman, because back then all he had was him; so in truth maybe pushing himself onto Ciman and expecting things to change was the fault of the relationship. Isozaki only had one rule--

" Don't find anyone better "

And what did Ciman do? He found better. Were they better in bed? Did they please him better than he could ever, where did they touch---did he like it like that? Was he always into that? Isozaki might be a crazed hurting soul, but he was always gentle. Always. He never took their fights to bed, no matter how bad it was, but again he only had one rule and it was broken. He couldn't help but feel insecure about himself, he wasn't good enough for Ciman now--he found better. He found a new soulmate, a new beloved. All those times they laughed together were replaced with fighting, those times Isozaki told him what would happen when his mother would get railed up again about his nameless father. All those times Isozaki felt nothing but pain, Ciman was there.

One memory jolted in Isozaki's uncompromising state.

His locs were just starting, and his eyes were filled with confusion," She told me she didn't want me...", A familiar voice echoed within Isozaki. He turned to answer yet his voice cracked upon the words he wanted to tell himself. The familiar voice spoke again," I ruined her life, didn't I Ciman? I have no family, I was born just to be alone. Why? I was born just to be treated like an unwanted disease. I'm worst than shit, I'm nothing....just an emptiness. Ciman...why do I have to carry on...when I don't too!", Almost forgetting how distressed Isozaki was back then, he cupped his face and shook his head.

" Why are you showing this to me?! I have nothing left to give, I gave everything! I gave everything to everyone who ever accused me of loving me! I deserve to rest in peace! Just give me that! Give me the peace I deserve." Father forgive Isozaki. For he has sinned for so long, for he has been walking around with such on his shoulders he forgot Ciman wasn't God. Ciman didn't have any leverage over his life. He tried his best right father? Isozaki was too fucked up to ask the real questions, he's been at his lowest since day one he never realized that this cage was circled by warm orbs, his skin tingled as he finally opened his eyes.

So this was it right? This was his final goodbye.

" Xemtreus seems to have chosen a good vessel. He'll be perfect for the coming war."

They spoke as one.

" You humans are weakened by loved ones and drugs." The committee tone wrecked with disgust," We give---"

Suddenly the cage-like room got noiseless. Not knowing why, Isozaki narrowed his eyes and saw someone who he thought wouldn't give a damn if he perished. Someone who for the first time saw the wet drops that formed in eyes drip down his cheeks, Isozaki was never one to cry--his mother didn't like seeing him or hearing him yell out, to watch how his tear ruined her nice flooring. So he bottled everything up, never letting that bottle go--the young Isozaki swore to his mother to never let the bottle go, he swore that she would never see a man cry no matter the age of the man, he made himself swear to her name to never show weakness and to grow up protecting her feelings rather than addressing them. Now look at him. Such a vile bastard, Isozaki was more than cruel, he was unsympathetic. How could he break a promise to his mother, how could he stand there staring at his beloved with tears in his eyes and water dripping down his face? How could he be so weak, so careless to allow those bottled-up emotions to free themselves? Well. Isozaki was debilitated.

Isozaki reached out his hand and stumbled toward Ciman because he knew. He knew why he was here. The only reason. Yet he was confused," D--Did you follow me Ciman? D...Do you love me so much you became my longing stalk?." Isozaki was deranged. He couldn't tell who was real or which reality he was in, he was delirious. He laughed. And laughed until the laughter was cracking into a sobbing state, he reached more for the man he would ever hold so dearly once his arms were to touch his body---until he recalled why he was here. He stopped cold in his tracks.

" Is that your beloved my child?"

Xemtreus was muted for some while, so Isozaki answered him like any other," Touch him and I'll kill you myself." " a normal response to anyone referring to Ciman. No one dared to speak ill about Ciman, because Isozaki was everywhere and listening, only good things were to be spoken. He didn't bother wiping his tears from his hot cheeks, he just stood there gazing at Ciman, wanting to ask him how he died....who dared to kill his beloved?!

" I want to return.."

The committee stared at the two, but their attention on Isozaki was fixed.

" I want to return home. Whatever you need done I'll do it".

The only reason Isozaki wanted to return home wasn't because he wanted to apologize to his mother who was waiting for him to return home with some food. Not because he broke their 10-long-year promise and wanted her to curse at him for being careless, for allowing such emotions to show themselves after all these years, but Isozaki wanted the names, the names of those who watched Ciman succumb to the kiss of death, he wanted every single last one of their names. This man! After everything, after every fight and the endless sleepless nights sitting on the edge of the bed watching Ciman sleep peacefully because dealing with him was so stressful; he still cared. He didn't care about the facts, Isozaki only cared about one thing and that wasn't himself. Didn't he make a promise to protect Ciman? His Cinnamon. A nickname he gave the man on their first date, a date that was so magically Isozaki ordered roses to his doorstep, to his job. Everywhere Ciman went he would be greeted by roses and a message that read:

[ I'll one day buy you a necklace of hope, I told you to run away with me so we both will be free. Free to do whatever and be whoever we want to be. No stranger to me my beloved. Without your kisses, I'll be sure to miss them. ]

Isozaki was always the romantic type. He never truly stopped sending Ciman roses, he just made sure to do it in person just in case someone was teasing the man about receiving gifts. And now to stare at Ciman after realizing he, himself was killed felt unreal.

They still were confounded. Maybe since the elements were supposed to speak for the vessel, yet this strange human told Xemtreus he would kill him if he ever touched this other mortal. This rather weak human threatened an element, something that's supposed to be immortal. Which was the subject of the day," Our elements are dying left and right," They started.

" We need you Xemtreus....and Jökla. We the committee need your strength to kill whoever is killing us." They spoke indirectly.

Isozaki blinked. So this was his life now huh? Lifting a hand to rub his chest, Isozaki did recall someone named that, he swallowed him--

" And I have yet to forgive you, you weird ass human being! All you had to do was grab me and I would have been absorbed into you. Eating me was disrespectful and mean." This element seemed to whine a lot, so Isozaki blinked giving a curt lowered nod.

He wouldn't dare to stare at Ciman.

Ciman’s head was heavy and his body felt numb. He was standing and— God, why was it so bright? Ciman had to open and close his eyes as everything before him was a blur. Holding up his hand to block the incoming brightness, Ciman was only able to vaguely see the silhouette of someone standing before him. Retracting his hand as his eyes began to adjust, that was when he was able to make out the figure before him.

“Isozaki??” Ciman was, at first, filled with a wave of relief. There he was, Isozaki, his dorkish, short-tempered but hot boyfriend. Ciman couldn’t help but smile lovingly until… until he remembered what they last spoke about.

Fuck.

Fuck.

There he was, Isozaki, Ciman’s now ex-boyfriend after Ciman cheated on him to get some semblance of control in their not-so-perfect relationship. His memories seemed to be revealing themselves to Ciman through a haze like remembering a party through a hangover. All he could think about was how angry and scared he had felt back when he was speaking if speaking was even the right word as the conversation was so one sided.

Ciman felt that sense of fear return to him as Isozaki burst into laughter like a maniac— a goddamn madman. Ciman clenched his fists and went rigid as Isozaki watched him, analyzing his every movement like a bunny analyzing a wolf. Isozaki’s mad laughter rang through the room as Ciman looked past Isozaki and at the older figures which loomed over them with an ominous aura from their seats as if Ciman was on trial for something. Why did Ciman feel so cool? It was as if he was fighting for even the slightest of movements, forcing frozen blood to crack enough that he took a step back from the now sobbing sounds that left Isozaki as Ciman’s eyes darted around the room.

“Where… Where am I…? What is going on?” Ciman muttered as his body shook in terror. Out of nowhere, he felt a lukewarm liquid sliding down his hands. Lifting his hands up for him to see, Ciman was frozen with fear as blue blood spilled from crescent cuts in his palm. His nails had pierced into his flesh yet the only thing he vaguely felt was the warmth of the blood. Ciman’s mind was swarming with questions and he stumbled back another step as horror had now engulfed him. His questions were muted by the thumping of his heart as he realized he could not feel anything— no, nothing, absolutely fucking nothing— throughout his entire body and that his blood was blue— as in the color blue, bright, bright blue.

“Your stress levels have increased, it seems,” a voice muttered seemingly right in his ear. Jökla— the name Jökla— seemed to belong to the voice and for some reason Ciman was now grasping at pieces of his memory of seeing a… a floating ball named Jökla? Ciman whipped around for the source of the voice but the voice only continued. “Is that not the one you care deeply for?”

“Where are you…? It sounds like…”

“I am inside of you, do you not recall?” Jökla replied with a scoff. “You held and forced me right inside your chest. A rather strange process to put me through your fatal wound, I will admit…”

Inside me? Fatal wound?

Ciman only felt a deep sickness in his stomach.

“I—”

“Touch him and I will kill you myself.”

Ciman suddenly flinched at Isozaki’s loud tone and shut his eyes tightly, hugging himself. Isozaki was not making Ciman’s distress any better. Jökla was silent but this silence only lasted a short while.

“Shall I help you eliminate the threat?”

“What?”

“The threat. The irate creature before us. He seems to be causing some of your anguish, no?”

“Isozaki? What— No no no no no!” Ciman quickly muttered under his breath in response, feeling as insane as Isozaki looked as he whispered to the voice inside his head. Even that sentence sounded crazy, reading it aloud. “Isozaki… he just… it’s… it’s complicated, alright?”

That was when Isozaki spoke, saying something like how he would do whatever they asked, to which Ciman quickly interrupted.

“What? Isozaki, why in the hell would you say that?!” Ciman asked as he walked right up to him, pushing his fears aside temporarily as his nature kicked in. “Don’t just agree to do whatever these people say, we— we don’t know what we are getting ourselves into!”

That was when the people in their fancy chairs towering over them spoke once more— mentioning something of elements and killing, whatever that could mean— but Ciman was already glaring cold daggers at them.

“Look, I have no idea what the fuck you’re talkin’ about our what you want from us but why the hell should we help you and what are you giving us in return?”
