Name: Silas Alexander Thompson Age: 19 Gender: Male Sexuality: "Straight" ;) Personality Silas is a very thoughtful and considerate person. He is a little more on the quiet side. Here's introverted but yet he has this persona about him that draws strangers toward him. He always wears a friendly expression on his face and has a relaxed posture. He takes pride in always appearing friendly, relaxed, and happy...even if it isn't always true. Silas is really into animals, nature, and expressing himself creatively which often includes music and writing. He lives his days coming up with lyrics and songs to capture important moments in his life but he will shyly deny to share any of his creative passions toward people. He is a difficult person to read, always appearing friendly and relaxed around others. On the inside, he is hurting and very in touch with his emotional side. He spends most of his days processing his emotions and working through them. He is sensitive and very wise despite his age. However, only those close to him would know that once he is alone, he is anything but happy, friendly, and relaxed. He loves isolating himself and letting all his emotions out onto paper. With that being said, Silas does have an emotional support animal to help regulate his struggles with anxiety. He also has high-functioning autism. Silas personally hates strongly extroverted people, they are emotionally and physically draining for him. He also hates to be touched unless it's by someone that he is extremely touched to. Silas' love language is more on an emotional level than physical. Once he trusts and connects with a person on the emotional level does he open up toward physical touch. He also values communication and support from his partner. When it comes to intimate relationships, touch can be a difficult thing for him but he will try his hardest to make sure his partner feels loved and appreciated always. Appearance Silas is always smiling and if he's not, his expression is relaxed to convey that he is comfortable. He is on the shorter side with an average sized body frame. His skin is a soft ivory tone and bares quiet a few freckles. However, his face only has one freckle and that's on the side of his nose. His eyes are a light grayish-blue shade. His hair is a dark raven shade that is wavy and unkept most of the time, his hair rests just at the nape of his neck. He is completely uncovered with tattoos or piercings, however he does want to get his ears pierced and get a tattoo of a butterfly on his middle finger. He is normally seen wearing a pair of ripped black jeans that have more of a straight leg fit and a button down shirt. Strengths Caring--Friendly--Intellgiant--Thoughtful Weaknesses Stubborn--People Pleaser--Too Serious--Quick to Judge--Has trust issues Small Backstory Silas grew up in a once loving home until his parents fell out of love with each other. They fought over him and his autism, blaming each other for him being the way he was until it drove them to a divorce. He lived most of his days with his aunt who has too high of expectations toward him and didn't really know how to handle or treat somebody with his...condition. With his aunt, he was never given any freedom or any chances to isolate or simply just be himself. However, he still loves his aunt and views his aunt as more of a parental figure than his own parents--whom he hasn't contacted since he was 10. Interests/Likes Animals, music, writing, going on nature walks. He craves to feel close to someone emotionally and craves for something more out of his life. Dislikes extroverted people, not having space to be himself, loud noises Other He has an emotional support cat, by the way. Edited at June 5, 2023 05:09 PM by Ashes of Night

Alas, the big day was here. Move in day. Silas was excited for the fresh start that this year was going to bring. He just finished up his high school classes and now he was driving toward his new home away from home. He had to do classes over the summer to graduate in time. Turns out that writing lyrics in your freetime didn't actually count as a music elective, believe it or not. But that was in the past. He could forget about it all now. He was going to university and he was going to have a grand time. He pulled down the university's main drive, an older man greeted him with his parking pass and student ID. The older man directed him to on-campus parking and he went where he was directed, giving a friendly smile and nod. Once parked, he was greeted by a group of baseball boys that towered over him in both height and weight. One of them introduced the team. It turned out the team was here to help the new freshman unpack and carry things to their dorm. Silas was grateful for the help, even though somebody else touching his stuff made him uneasy. "I'm in Ely Dorms, South Wing, room 204," He told the baseball players as they grabbed everything he had packed from the back. He personally grabbed the last item himself which was a cat carrier. He didn't pack much. Just two storage bins, a storage bag full of his cat's needs, a suitcase and a mini-fridge. The dorm building he was staying in had a kitchen area so he figured he wouldn't need a microwave. If he did, he could always pay home a visit. Once everything was set in his dorm and the baseball team had moved on to help somebody else, Silas took a moment to catch his breath, leaning against the plain wall and closing his eyes. He needed a moment to recollect himself and a moment of peace. He started to let his mind wonder, thinking about his roommate. They had a few conversation via text but he was worried. He worried that they might not get along, that his roommate would be overstimulating, or something would go wrong. After all, sending a few text messages didn't mean instant friends.

It was time. Skylar was finally going to University for sports. He plays hockey and Lacrosse. He was taking them both but he was afraid it would be too much and he would have to drop one. That would definitely be one of the hardest decisions in his life. He arrived, driving through the front and getting checked in. It looked like he had a lot of stuff but really it was mostly his gear for his sports. He had one suitcase and a storage bin, then two duffle bags of his sports stuff. He pulled up to a parking spot as students were walking over. They offered to help and he gladly took it. He did not want to drag all his luggage to his dorm after that long drive. It was about a 2-hour drive. He often thought about his mom during the drive seeing as that she would be alone. She would have his cat with her though. He told them what dorm he was in then made his way there himself. He didn't know if his roommate was there or not. He didn't mind having a roommate but he also didn't like the idea of sleeping in the same room as a strange for so long. He knew it wouldn't be too much of an issue once they became more acquainted. Sky grew more nervous as he got closer to his dorm, once he arrived he saw the door open implying his roommate was there. He walked in to see a boy shorter than him by a few. He smiled at him and then spotted his bed. "Yeah you can put everything on the floor or bed, It doesn't matter." Sky said to the students with his luggage. His voice was calm and friendly. Sky then made his way to his bed then sat on it. He faced the boy and smiled a bit. "Hey, you're my roommate right?" He asked just for clarification. He assumed it was so he just wanted to make sure. The dorm was rather spacious nd appeared to actually be meant for two people. When Silas was touring other colleges, all the dorms had been barely large enough for one person much less two. Like the other dorms though, this one carried two unbanked beds, two desks, two dressers, and one closet for them to share. The closet was built in the room and open but luckily, Silas had thought ahead and brought a curtain rod and curtains to keep their clothes out of public eyes. He heard loud footsteps making their way up the stairs and it wasn't long before he realized his moment was over. By the time his roommate had opened the door, he had composed himself into the friendly and relaxed person that everybody else saw. He watched the man and the baseball players carry in gear before his gaze found the one man that wasn't in a baseball uniform. Silas' gaze studied him for a moment, taking in his long hair and piercings. "Hey, you're my roommate right?" By the time the other addressed him, Silas was digging in one of his storage bins to look for bedsheets for his bed. He wanted to get his bed made and make sure his roommate was settled in before he let his cat out. As if the creature knew he was thinking of them, the cat let out a high-pitched distressed meow. "Hi," Silas realized he had been silent for a while, the meow reminding him to be social. He turned around sheets in hand and gave him a smile,"That depends on if you are Skylar Jones. If so, then yes and welcome to room 204." Edited at June 5, 2023 08:56 PM by Ashes of Night

Sky cocked his head at the sight of the boy. He looked so innocent and friendly. "Yeah Im sky." He said as he looked down at his suitcase. He decided to unpack his storage bin first. All of his clothes and bed stuff were in there. He found his bedsheets as long as his pillowcases, they were black. He requested two pillows. He couldn't sleep without two. He had also somehow fit his blanket in there since they weren't provided. He then shot the boy a smile as they both unpacked in silence. There were already plain white clothes hangers in the closet, he grabbed as many as he needed and started hanging his clothes. He hung up all his t-shirts and hoodies then moved on to the dresser. He filled up his dresser pretty quickly being somewhat neat. He just wanted everything to be done. He ran his hands through his hair sighing as he closed the now emptied storage bin. He shoved both his duffle bags at the bottom of his side of the closet, one on top of the other. All he had left was his suitcase, filled with essentials. He had his hairbrush, toothbrush, and skincare products, you get it. He brought his suitcase to his now-made bed and opened it. He then took out a few things he would need within 24 hours from now. His phone then buzzed. His mom was calling. A smile grew on his face. "Hey, mama." He said as he answered. "Yes I got here safe and I'm just now unpacking. Most of it is done just my suitcase." He smiled as he spoke to her. He was definitely missing her but he knew he would be okay. His mom just wanted to check in on him so the call wasn't too long. After a couple of minutes, she hung up. He then kept unpacking glancing at the boy sometimes.

"Silas," He responded with a friendly nod, moving to put his sheets on the other bed. The dorms did provide pillows but Silas didn't trust that so he made mental note to run to the store later and get some. The two boys unpacked in silence. Silas didn't mind the silence whatsoever. It was comforting in a way and eased some of his nerves about Sky being an extrovert or someone that would overstimiluate him. Clearly that wasn't going to be an issue. Once his bed was made, he moved his dresser out from undneath of it and to the side of the bed instead. He wanted something to sit his stuff on and the room was big enough to have one dresser not underneath the bed and not cross into Sky's half of the room. Once the dresser had been moved to his liking, he put his clothes inside. He didn't bring that much clothes, he packed very light so he wouldn't have to make multiple trips. Anything that he needed, he was privledged enough to have his own drivers license and car. He would go to the store to buy later. He couldn't help but throw his new roommate a few side-glances as he unpacked. It seemed like the boys moved in union with each other, when Silas was unpacking and putting things in his dresser, Sky was hanging clothes in their closet. Then they switched. Sky went to his dresser and Silas went to hang up his own shirts before they wrinkled. He couldn't stand wrinkly shirts. As he finished unpacking his stuff, except for a few hygienetic products, he heard a buzzing noise. His gaze drifted toward the direction of the noise and saw his roommate pull out his phone. When he answered it, a smile flickered across his face. Silas couldn't help but admit that the man had a pretty good smile. The only thing that was left to unpack was his cat and the cats' supplies. He was going to ask Sky if it was okay if he let his cat free from the carrier but he didn't want to come off rude and interrupt the boy's conversation on the phone with his mom. So instead, the raven-haired boy found a notebook and a pencil. He paused for a moment, jotting down a few words in thick dark ink. Challenges and changes, The path stands before us, A chance for freedom, I can feel it in my lungs. Another meow could be heard from where Silas' cat anxiously waited to be let out of his carrier. Silas put his finger to his lips and a soft "shhh" could be heard from him. Sadly cats did not understand when somebody was on the phone, you be silent.
