Name:Ashton Fern Nickname:Ash and some call him Fern. Alias Name:Blaidd Age: 22 Gender: Male Sexuality:Gay Superpowers: Hearing, speed and electricity (though he hardly ever uses this power) Appearance: Ash has a diamond face shape with undefined cupid shaped lips and a roman nose. He has big dark brown eyes and light brown curly hair cut into a crew cut. Ash stands at around 5 foot 9 and has a muscular build. Ash has a sporty clothes style. Blaidd wears a tight one piece jumpsuit sort of looking item. It has a leathery sort of look to it but is a more flexible, breathable material. Blaidd accompanies this with a large chunky belt with silver studs and a small yellow lightning bolt in the middle. To finish this outfit Blaidd wears a full face mask grey in colour with Blaidd shaped ears. The only feature you see from this mask is his brown eyes. Personality:Ash is typically a very quiet, shy person. He doesn't have many friends- none that he can trust anyway- mainly because he finds it hard to start conversations. He has alot of nervous habits when talking to new people making him seem awkward-which he is rather. To most it would seem like Ashton likes to be alone but that's far from the truth, he wishes he could find a loyal friend. He knows himself that he can be loyal aswell but has never been given the chance. If talked to he is fairly polite though mostly he prefers to keep quiet and let the other person speak. As soon as he's Blaidd though the person Ash wished he was he becomes. Blaidds confident and sarcastic. He doesn't take too kindly to mockery but will brush it off with a smirk or raise of the eyebrow. Blaidd would the person to stroll up to anyone he found interesting and start a conversation but he has rarely got time for that. Blaidd is a very determined, independent person who likes to work alone finding it easier to think that way. Mostly Blaid is alone and trying to find new tactics to use or villains to catch. Blaidd has a crazy ability to keep calm in any situation and very rarely loses his temper, it takes alot to annoy or faze him. Anything else?:X Edited at November 24, 2022 08:17 AM by Starstruck

Name:
Afton Reign Fletcher
Villain Alias:
Venandi
Latin for "Hunter"
Age:
21
Gender: Male
Sexuality:
Bisexual
Superpower(s):
Afton is a bit unusual in regards of superpowers, he has multiple. Three to be exact. While all three are still classified as superpowers, they would be what people like to call "passive". A passive power is basically enhancing the person's natural abilities, like hearing or sight.
-Speed-
While far from the level of those who are able to move at the speed of light or faster, he is still able to run quicker than a typical person. It's faster than the average person, but not absurdly fast like those with actual super speed. As with all three of his
-Reflexes-
As with the other two powers, his reflexes are also enhanced. His reflexes allow him to react almost as soon as a movement is made; which have been a huge help to him in many situations. It allows him to escape situations where the plan went south; and he has found that in combat, his better reactions is a boon for sure. There have been times where he had found himself moving in reaction to something without processing it completely, though he's gotten used to it and it has been a while since he's startled visibly when that inevitably happens.
-Agility-
Another very useful power is enhanced agility, and most of the stunts he does, he wouldn't be able to pull off without the agility, or speed, or reflexes, but the point is there. Predictably, this means that he is able to change directions quicker and is more graceful or nimble in movement; technically, agility is a hard thing to define, but there is no doubting that he is an agile person. More so than what it typical or natural for a human.
These three powers honestly make him dangerous and a formidable opponent. While they aren't like fire manipulation or a more showy and destructive power, they aid him in many situations. He is swifter than normal humans in general, has lightning reflexes, and is very light on his feet; it is very easy for him to juke someone out and then be gone in an instant; to take a split second opening in a fight that may very well be lethal for his opponent, for him to strike as fast as a rattlesnake at a weak point; or to take a chase onto buildings, onto higher places where a single misstep spells disaster, places where people without his level of agility or without flight cannot follow without majorly risking their lives. Appearance:
Standing at five feet ten inches tall, Afton has a decent height. Not the tallest in the crowd by far, but certainly not the shortest either. In terms of build, he is rather slender in frame, being built for speed and agility rather than durability and brute force; but he's not to be underestimated, he's not as delicate or weak as his build would lead some to believe. He is muscled in the way that some athletes are, lean strength through the arms and legs and body, not large muscles by far, not like those you would see on a bodybuilder or someone who works in a profession where a lot of strength is needed; but rather in a more active way, like a runner or swimmer would be muscled.
He has black hair, a dark shade that gains a slight brown around the edges in the sunlight. His hair is typically cut short, nothing longer than ear length; he does personally favor having shorter hair, low-maintenance, for the practicality, and just because he prefers it to be that way. Although he had been convinced once to have his hair longer, that didn't last long, to say the least. His skin tone is on the lighter side in a natural way, fair or around that; and there are a few scars on him, most of them from confrontations with an enemy or accidents, they're easily covered up by normal clothing though, so he doesn't have to worry about those. His eyes are a verdant shade of green in color. Not a blueish shade of green or yellow-green, coloration-wise they are most similiar to Kelly green. Startlingly vivid against pale skin and dark hair, his eyes stand out from his face; and from his physical features that would be considered average or typical.
Now, as Venandi, his appearance is naturally a bit different. His outfit is more on the practical side, rather than flashy. He wears a pair of black standard hiking pants, higher quality, as they are durable and allow for flexibility and agility in terms of movement, and the added bonus of the higher quality ones not making sound when he moves around. As for his top, interestingly enough he wears a hoodie, a slim zippered one that's hand painted by himself, but it's a standard hoodie all the same; on the right arm and shoulder, there's a swirling pattern painted on, some lines thick and some a bit thinner, but clearly meant to show the royal purple paint off instead of having it blend into the black hoodie. As for a mask, it's pretty simple; designed to be a full face and head mask, and made out of a light breathable fabric, it isn't much. The fabric is light enough so that he can actually breathe, but heavy enough so that even in good lighting, his face can't be seen; maybe the most someone will see are the vague outline of eyes and such, at most, in very strong lighting. But nothing that will reveal what he actually looks like. As for his vision, he actually has like, small places where he can see out of without the world being tinted purple; he's arranged the eyeholes in a manner so that while he can see, other people won't be able to see into the mask or even see where the eyeholes are, and he's tested this extensively, not willing to have a mask that people could see him through. And the fabric, instead of the black that dominates his outfit, is a royal purple, like the color of the swirling patterns on his jacket. . .
Personality:
At a first glance, Afton is not a remarkable person in terms of personality; someone you wouldn't think is a supervillain. He comes off as a person on the quieter side, not the type to talk your ear off, yet willing to converse if approached; not too open, but not closed off either. He's not too friendly, too out there are some people are, not someone who wears his heart on his sleeve; but he's not withdrawn, and is a more polite sort, reserved could be a good descriptor for him with people he doesn't know.
Which, he really is on the more reserved side, that isn't wrong. But there's a lot more to him than those first impressions.
Part of his initial reservation is due to cautiousness, he knows there is some bad people out there. Is well aware of the fact that he's also considered one of them. And it never hurts to be wary, better safe than sorry, he doesn't want to end up being mugged in an alley due to being heedless. And so, he's not overtly friendly or open with people he doesn't know, but he's not unwelcoming or cold either. It balances out to being more on the polite side.
Afton has been and is probably many things, but stupid isn't one of them. He is a smart man, and sometimes can be on the calculating side of things. He is a quick thinker, and can come up with things to get out of a nasty situation or just a tight or uncomfortable situation in general; although his ideas can come off reckless, especially when pertaining to things like a fight or something. Either way, he is good at thinking on his feet, and is a clever person; though he does have his moments of obliviousness, as does everyone.
As Venandi, he is quite different from what people usually see him as. The moment the mask is on, the parts of him that are typically not seen by others rise to the surface; it's like he feels safe enough to let himself be himself when he's Venandi. He is more confident, it's present in his actions and bearing; how he holds his head a little higher, a little prouder; how he will traverse precarious heights with a certainty that not many would dare to have. Sometimes, he pulls stunts that to a spectator would seem amazingly reckless, with no regard for his well being; but he knows what he's doing, he's aware of his powers and their capbilities, and probably wouldn't attempt them if he didn't think he'd be able to do it, not unless he is absolutely forced to.
Another thing is that he gets more, chatty sometimes. He's much more prone to talk, to initiate a conversation; although as a villain there's not much putting that to use unless he's in the company of other villains, or someone he's encountered more often. He can be quite a smart alec when he wants to be; it can be especially annoying when he's in a fight with someone. Also, he's a little bit more social, in a way; he knows several other villains he's on good terms with -and he's picky with who he considers friends, so they aren't too bad from what he's seen- and he has even been known to work with them sometimes. It's more than what he usually has as a civilian. So, he is a bit more social, but not overly so with heroes or villains or vigilantes he isn't too familiar with.
Now, while he doesn't really come off as the sort, as Venandi or plain Afton Fletcher; he can be dangerous. An opponent can see glimpses of this, how he seems to strike viciously in a true battle, or how the air around him seems to gain a dangerous feeling; maybe in a smile that shows a few too many teeth, one that verges on the edge of a snarl. Despite how he appears, there is a predator in him, and it is not a good idea to get on his bad side, to truly provoke him; for he will gladly show why his alias means hunter.

High above the ground, a figure crouched motionlessly, like a bird of prey on its roost. He was in a truly precarious position, crouching on the very top of a building in construction, with nothing but his own balance keeping him atop the pole. It was a height that would be dizzying to most people, but the man didn't seem fazed; not by the sharp winds nor the heights. He was completely still, save for the movements of the head as he looked around. Then after a moment, he leaned back on his heels, a hand covered by a fingerless glove tugging at the purple fabric covering his face, adjusting it, before resuming his previous position.
With his mostly black hoodie and black pants, the man nearly blended right into the darkness of night. But it was not like anyone would see him anyways, people rarely looked up, and lights rarely shone high enough to illuminate his perch. The sight, if anyone could see it, would be sinister in a way, especially considering the late hour; the way he was positioned in his crouch was reminscent of a predator waiting for prey, or perhaps like the way a hawk or eagle will survey the land far below it.
The man was Venandi, one of the city's many villains that ran free. And one of the most dangerous ones that roamed the streets.
Venandi lifted his head, gazing up into the starry sky. At this height, with no artifical lights nor any other buildings framing his view, it was breathtaking; and it made him feel so, so small. The same way anyone feels when standing next to a mountain, or in a field with no buildings in sight. His grip on the pole tightened as an instinctive response, and conversely, his body relaxed a tad, a little bit of tension melting off the masked man's posture. He knew that he was safe up here, to his knowledge, no hero with flight capabilities was patrolling tonight, and vigilantes typically were neutral to a villain unless said villain was actively trying to harm others. As for fellow villains, most didn't attack each other without good reason, unlike most heroes, who would attack villains on sight.
With a quiet sigh, his head leveled out to the normal position again, shifting his weight as a hand rose to tug the hood forward a bit more. He was honestly bored, nothing exciting happening at the moment, and it didn't seem like anything interesting would occur either. Edited at November 24, 2022 04:06 AM by the Wayne pack

Pacing, Ash tried to think of something to do. Boredom had struck again,a regular occurrence and he still hadn't figured how to shake it off. Maybe it was due to the fact that Ash spent alot of time outside so being indoors kept him feeling restricted. Most of the day had gone casually, nothing too extreme to mention. Early in the morning Blaidd had patrolled around the city then continued just daily things as Ash. Days seemed to jump in extremities, some where extremely chaotic and busy while others dragged with not much to be concerned about. For someone like Blaidd who liked to keep busy it was nothing short of frustrating. He understood that it was good when villains created minimal violence although Blaidd found that he always wanted to be doing something. This was a prominent trait that Ash and Blaidd both shared. A sudden gust of wind caused Ash to jump. He faced the window and looked out just to see a bird already nearing its landing. Ash sighed, sometimes his power could be very helpful but it also caused many unnecessary frights. Shaking himself off Ash sat on the end of his bed and looked out of the window longingly. With a quiet sigh, a whisper of a noise that was barely audible, Venandi slowly unfolded from his crouched position, rising into a stand. He was still for a moment, head tilted to the heavens, the dark sky dotted with thousands upon millions of tiny white pinpricks, before moving to one of the beams near him, movements careful yet confident. Methodically, he made his way down the framework of the building, unhurried, often pausing on a beam or a board and standing there for a few moments before continuing on. As he was daring to drop down to the next level, there was a quiet crackling sound in his ear, where he had placed the small communicator that night. While Venandi was known for working on his own, it didn't mean that he did not have friends. All of which were villains, obviously, but it had been decided that a way to get into contact with each other quickly was the best choice for their...professions. A moment later and the crackling levelled out, only to be replaced by a man's voice.
"Ven..? Where, uh, where are you?" It came through in a whisper, and the question and tone made the man pause just as he was about to leap to the roof across him.
"On top of a building. Far southwest. Why?" Suspicion crept into his tone on the last part. A moment later, he sprang and landed on the roof in a roll, the impact forcing a grunt from him.
"Oh good. By the way, don't be concerned by the explosion." The other villain then hung up his end of the line, a brief static fizzing before going silent. It left the black and purple clad villain motionless for several seconds, very confused as to that little check-in.
By the time he shook his head and mentally shrugged his shoulders, a loud boom cut through the silence, echoing off the buildings nearby. The villain jolted, his head snapping to the direction of the noise. There was a brief moment of indecision, and then he turned in that direction and set off. He wanted to see what his friend, the villain Shadowmere whose power was the manipulation of shadows, had gotten up to; it was not usually him who did things with expolsives or fire.
