While Joshua is a recent inductee for the guard, known as the White Masks, who lay down the law of the king, who as of late is imposing more stringent measures, which has caused a few to openly protest. The White Masks bust the guild, and send Emelote on the run. Joshua is then assigned to chase down and arrest/capture Emelote.
However Emelote slips away at the last moment, erecting a Roadrunner and Wil. E. Coyote dynamic between the two. Eventually the two slowly begin to fall for each other, though the Roadrunner-Wil. E. Coyote dynamic stays firm as the White Masks send more guards to hunt down and capture Emelote.

Name: Joshua Fyre Gender: Male Age: 21 Appearance: Joshua sports a basic hide shirt with leather pants. He has simple clothes, but he doesn't mind that since he focuses more on the more essential details than expensive clothes. His guard outfit is a red cloak with the mark of the White Masks on the center of its back. He also has a short club to beat down anyone that causes trouble. With dirty blonde hair and emerald green eyes, he has a rather soft complexion and a face that would lead others to think that he was younger than he really is. He has a scar on his left arm and the back of his right leg. Backstory: When Joshua was young, he had to constantly learn street smarts since the town he was living in was rather dangerous. At the age of 14, his parents were brutally attacked during a botched robbery of his home, so out of precaution he was evacuated from the city and moved to Cille, where he now lives to this day. As soon as he arrived, he was interested in the White Masks and knew that he wanted to become a White Mask to keep others safe and give them the peace of mind that he couldn't have when he was younger. Personality: Joshua is actually rather timid at first, but the longer he is used to a situation the more comfortable he becomes. When he gets emotional, his emotions become locked in step and he needs to be calmed down. When things get dangerous, he'll initially want to pull away from the danger since he was surrounded by it because of his past.

Joshua looked at the mask in his hands. This mask meant a lot to almost all of the citizens in the town of Cille. The mask meant that an agent of the law was close by, and it didn't matter who was underneath the mask... they would always be bound to the simple oath: Before I commit to my daily task, I swear this oath unto the mask; To enforce the law with truth and speed, To serve those who have a need. It was a rather silly sounding oath for him to task when he was inducted into the White Masks, but maybe there was something to it being a simple and straightforward oath to take. Joshua didn't mill on it very long before putting on his uniform, which consisted of a red cloak with the symbol of the White Masks emblazoned upon the center of it. After he had the cloak he fastened the mask to his face before stepping out of the guard quarters to the streets of Cille. Now that he was wearing his uniform, he was now given the authority of the law. He looked around for a moment or so before picking a direction and walking that way, beginning his rounds for the day. Joshua didn't mind this style of patrol, but in recent weeks the unrest that lied within the citizens had increased, meaning that a few would openly heckle him as they walked past, but he didn't mind the words. He's been called worse by a lot tougher, so it didn't bother him nearly as much as it would with the other members of the guard.

"Why... You little swine!"
A young woman looks up from where she was sitting in the corner of the tavern, face hidden by her cloak. In the middle a man and a young boy were facing off in the middle. "You little theif! Give me my money back!" The boy fires back,"I have no idea what you're talking about! I am no theif!" The young woman rolls her eyes, the guild had obviously gotten desperate enough to recruit ones to young to know how to be sneaky. The woman could see the guild's brand, just barely so, but she could still see it. "Aye, why don't we all just calm down here?" The young woman states, intervening and stepping in between the two. The man sneers,"Move out the way lad, and let me give this boy what he deserves." The young woman lifts her face, and golden eyes gleam from within,"I don't dare suggest you do so, unless you want to mess with me." The man snaps,"Move lad, this is not your fight." The golden eyes take on a sinister look,"Very well, as you wish, kind sir." The young woman thrusts her hand forward resting it on the man's head.
The man reels backward in shock, crying,"What have ya done? I cannot see!" The man's booming voice echos the tavern and those who had been to far to know what was happening now knew, and the tavern people began to rise,"Magic! They dare use magic??" The young woman clamps a hand down on the boy,"That is our cue, let us go." The young woman focuses on the illusion she had cast on the man, and expands it to the others inside the tavern, and soon the tavern was in a mess. A lot of yelling, and the sound of things breaking. While the young woman and boy slip out.
"Who are you?" The young woman murmurs,"All you need to know is I am part of the guild. Now go quickly, return back to the guild, and inform them what has happen. I will stay behind and see what happens. That much noise and yelling is bound to attract some guards." The young boy nods,"Thank you." The young woman simply waves him off, and the boy bounds off into the shadows and alleyways.

Joshua continued walking on his patrol, but as soon as he walked down the street and turned the corner, there were other Masks there at a tavern looking around, asking people about what was going on. Seeing the situation, he walked up to them and got up to speed in regards to what was happening. Apparently a young girl set an illusion inside of the tavern to allow her and a young boy to escape, and what's more, the young boy was accused of stealing money. Joshua sighed and shook his head; this was either two random thieves working together, or they were part of the local thieve's guild and they were nearly caught. Pushing past a few of the citizens, he looked inside and took note of all of the damage that was within the tavern, speaking to the tavern owner and looking at all of the damaged and destroyed pieces of furniture and whatnot to record everything and charge the two with damages and abetting a possible criminal. Now that he had everything jotted down, he thanked the tavern owner and walked back outside, where the other Masks were holding a rather drunk fellow in arrest for attacking a few individuals. He doubted that the charge would stay since illusion magic was in effect and it wouldn't take much for him to throw fists because of how much alcohol he consumed, but there was still a chance. But the longer they stayed there, a few hecklers came by and began to taunt them, calling the Masks the pawns of the king and soulless bastards for putting on the masks and destroying their individuality, but Joshua ignored them once again, but as he looked around before he continued on with the patrol, he noticed a young girl staying there and looking at the scene. Wouldn't hurt to ask her about what was going on... He began to walk to her and said "Excuse me miss, I need to have a word with you about the scene in this tavern..." He didn't realize that she was the girl in question, at least not yet.

The young woman stays hidden in the shadows as the Masks start to show up, waiting an appropriate amount of time before revealing herself, hood down and face exposed. That was the best way to make herself seem like a simple bypasser. The young woman tips her head, faking curiosity as she watches. Pretending to wonder what was happening. Though she had to hide a smirk as she heard a few bypassers insult the Masks. She herself agreed, however she kept that to herself. The young woman was about to turn around and leave when she hears someone approach and call out to her.
"Excuse me miss, I need to have a word with you about the scene in this tavern..."
The young woman raises an eyebrow,"I'll answer as much as I can." She replies,"Alas, I was simply passing by and saw and heard the fighting within the tavern. So I'm not sure if I can help you too much." The young woman shrugs, wondering if she could get away cleanly, or if she would need to use her magic again. Already she was still buzzing from the burst of magic she had used, as she often doesn't use it. Only using her magic when it is needed.
Magic received from her unknown father, that she had never met, and had only received a singular gift from him. The sword that rested on her hip was an elven sword gifted to her by a father she believed was unaware of her existence. The young woman only wished she could meet her father, and ask how he and her mother met and fell in love. Because after all, her mother was dead, hung when the young woman was about six years old. The young woman shakes herself out of her thoughts and focuses back on the Mask in front of her.

"Passing by?" Joshua asked her, a slight tilt to his head accompanying his sentence. He looked back at the tavern and the rest of the Masks who were in the middle of grilling everyone that was there before returning his gaze to the woman. "Well, if that's the case then just tell me everything that you saw on your way to this place. Did a young boy and girl rush by you? We're looking for two individuals that are suspected to be in the local thieve's guild." He spoke the last part with contempt in his voice; the guild was always causing not only the citizens and the Masks trouble, but they were also not appreciative of the king and his rule, so they would do whatever they could to further mock the ruler of the land. In the back of his mind, Joshua thought he should bring this lass forward to the tavern owner to see if she was the girl in question just in case, but she was acting rather calm and didn't appear to be lying, so it didn't feel proper to do that, at least not yet.

The young woman nods,"I'll try to do everything I can to help." Then she shakes her head,"Alas, no, I suppose I came after they had already fled the scene, and I stuck around. Partly in interest to see what would happen here. I don't see to much exciting things." At the contempt in the Mask's voice, the young woman found amusement, though she kept it well hidden. The Guild was well away of the contempt and hatred that the precious guards of the king held for them. However, it simply amused them. After all, even though the Guild were thieves they had rules. Children were a absolute no, and if a child was in need of help, then help would be given no matter what. Even if it meant getting captured, and yet even with how many they had lost to the dungeons. Everyone came back, well most everyone, as that was one of the tasks of the young woman. Her magic aided her well in bringing back many of the captured, but alas she could not save them all. And yet, despite all the torture given to the captured, the Guild's hideout still had not been found.

With an annoyed sigh, Joshua knew that he had nothing else to go on in regards to this young woman, so he figured that it was time to let her go on and focus on the scene before talking to another individual. "Well... if that's all you have at this time, then I don't see a reason to hold you up anymore. You're free to go, but if you find anything in relation to this or the Guild, please let one of us know as soon as you can." With that, he gave her a brief bow before walking back to the tavern and continued a talk with the tavern owner, hoping that she would be able to give him more details about the two in question. It was beyond frustrating when it came to pinning down members of the Guild, and even though they would get them from time to time, they would just as likely be sprung out by another member, further making the Masks, and the king by proxy, look like a fool.
