The moonlit valley pack was left in turmoil after the famine that killed both alphas. There is no male heir to the alpha position, and soon, the new alpha female will have to find a mate. Many wolves died, and some are still grieving. But another pack that lives in the woods, the sunlit mountain pack, extends an offer of friendship. Can the two packs, who have been enemies for so long, peacefully coexist and share the forest? Or will the packs become enemies once more?

Silver|Leader|M: none "You are chosen to lead this pack into the light." Those were the last words the alpha female ever said to her. Silver had been hunting. She had recently been promoted to Beta Female, a much desired rank. Most Beta Females would be plotting the death of the current alphas. Not Silver. She knew that the pack was hungry. She had caught a scrawny cotchet, and by luck, a juicy mountain rabbit. She knew that the Elders needed prey. She began trotting towards the camp. She was about halfway to the camp when the Omega came. He was skinny, but she knew he was one of the fastest runners. "Beta!" He cried, showing signs of submission that the omegas knew to display around her. "its the last Alpha! She's dying!" She ran, despite the hunger. Despite the cold. Despite the terror. She flew into camp and directly into the healer's den. Right away, she saw her alpha. She was clearly suffering from pain, cold, and hunger. She looked like a skeleton with fur, and she was getting trailer by the second. No. NO. NO! Silver rushed to her side. "Please, no!" She cried, eyes welling with tears. "Please. Im not ready." She pleaded. She was the heir to the alpha. "The alpha below her remained calm. "You are chosen to lead this pack into light." She whispered. Then took her last breath. Silver fell onto her knees. She was alpha. She was chosen. She closed her eyes, and her tears fell silently on the body of her mother. Edited at November 2, 2023 06:16 PM by Luna🌕

Vienne | F | Delta | M: None, open As she stood in the woodland clearing, Vienne realized she was having the same dream again. It started in the spring and continued every so often, just when she was finally starting to get better. A small pup scampered up to her. "Mama! Mama I found a flower- look!" The gray pup showed a small, slightly crumpled orange flower that they held in their muzzle. They stared up at Vienne with pride gleaming in their hazel eyes. "That's very beautiful, my little sun drop," Vienne heard herself say with a chuckle, nuzzling her pup. It felt like she was being controlled, despite knowing every part of this scene... she couldn't change it. "But be careful next time- we don't want to hurt the flowers, remember. Just look at them and call me over if you want me to see." The pup thought about this for a moment. "Okay! Can I go play by the creek?" Vienne dipped her head, glancing back to the pack dens. "Just for a little while. Be careful though, some hunters were seen nearby.. if you scent them, come back immediately." She watched as her pup scampered off, barely giving so much as a farewell; they were so excited to have another adventure. Dread pricked in her fur. I shouldn't have let him go by himself. How could I have been so stupid?
As if the dream was in tune with her thoughts, the echo of a trap being sprung rang through the clearing, along with a pained yelp. "N-no please!" Vienne whined, half waking up. "Please..." She jolted fully awake with a gasp, glancing around. "Not again...." Bristling in embarrassment, she slipped out of the den, heading off to find a scent trail.
