Ah okay. The forums seemed a lot more inactive than when I was last on. I didn't know if there was a dedicated "looking for partners" page

There's just the forums, RP with me and what Tony said.
In the forums you can put the key word Literate in there and search in the 1x1s ?

Can always get the pack number and search forums for rp posts they've done

No way to filter literate RPer's from the who's online list?

I suppose it depends what exactly you're looking for. 1x1 sometimes has some pretty decent RPer's. Sometimes group ones are good to find people too.

There's always the online packs list which should have markers of who's up for RP's

Yeah I guess group RPs work, I just hate how redundant 99% of group RPs are. Same stuff, same intro, etc. By the time it kicks off anywhere half the people have dropped out

Specific to 1x1s? Group rps are a great way to find rp partners but you have to be good joining a group at least once ^^"

I'm not scared of breaking them any more though because when my 4 year old sister was 1 I was changing her and she stood up on the changing table and fell and I kneed her in the head on accident while trying to catch her cause we had concrete floor in out room and another time she fell head first out of a shopping cart at Walmart

She was fine both times so no big deal

I'm unhappy with my art at the minute,if I'm honest. I don't know what it is that I hate, because all of ye seem to like it. Maybe it's the 'floofs'. Maybe it's the lack of realism. Who knows.

I'm handing my gallery over to you guys. Critique it, praise it, destroy it, put it back together. All of this helps in the long run.

Thanks. ^^

I think what bothers me most, is the nose.

It's... odd. Not quite Wolf or canine like anymore since you got the tablet. I don't know if it's because you can't see or what, but the nose is odd. But I think the cheek floofs, though signature, should only be on wolves/canines. Try drawing stuff without them.

Thank you for your opinion!
I must agree, I feel the way I have drawn noses has become rather odd to me too. I'll take on board what you said, and try to practise drawing animals without the fluffs.

Thanks again ^^

Okay, so the following I will be saying is not meant to be rude, but as a sort compliment I guess.

Your art is amazing. What I love mainly about it is that it has so many flaws that go so perfectly together, creating a new and very unique style. All those flaws makes it look perfect in my eyes. Thinking about it, they wouldnt even be considered flaws in your art, because they seriously make your art better.

A way to search for styles is by looking at other artists and tutorials. Ehh, experiment with art, I will suggest.

Its truly amazing in my eyes currently, so I wont feel any need to change it. But I for sure know art changes over time, so there will be a chance that you find a style you enjoy, which is perfectly fine too.

Jesus christ these were some wise words :')
I am impressed

I am speechless. That was beautiful. Thank you. :')
Have you considered becoming a poet? Lmao

I'm somewhat glad it has those flaws pieced together to create nice art, as you say, because, I dont know, I have my own flaws that make up me? We all do.

Thanks again. :)

You've improved greatly since you've started posting your art in the Art Gallery, and the drawing you made for me of Ezhno was very beautiful, but I've noticed that you're beginning to struggle with drawing, and, even though I'm not an artist, I have some tips to help you improve:

1 Study the anatomy of what you are drawing. Since you typically draw canines, I'd suggest you study the entire (note, the entire) anatomy of a canine. Study the bone structure, the muscles, the skin, and the way the fur covers the body. Specifically, learn the skeletal system and the muscular system since these are the most important.

2 Experiment with different brushes with every drawing and see what suits it best. I've learned over the past few days of studying, most artists use five or six, if not only two or one, brushes to make the most perfect masterpieces, so keep the number of brushes you use to a minimum and experiment during beginning sketches.

3 Go to fellow artists and learn their techniques. I recommend checking out a user known as "Chickenbusiness" on DeviantArt. She has a Free Resources tab where you can see her techniques. Here's the link to that page: https://www.deviantart.com/chickenbusiness/gallery/42525407/Resources

I'm gonna use this one just cause it features a lot
https://i.postimg.cc/SN8j4nsK/1548794032635.png

I think a big problem is the muzzle? It's sloped down too much. It doesn't necessarily look bad, but if you're going for realism or semi-realism, you'll definitely need to tweak it.

Fur! While you have the beloved cheek floofs, there's not much indication of fur anywhere else. Either with colouring or linework, you can show where the fur is thicker and where is it shorter. Because right now the body of the wolf has no indication of fur and it makes it stand out less.

Colouring/shadows. Your shadows aren't very prominent, and with the sun shining behind them, why would they have shadows on their back? And why would there be more light on the side facing away from the sun?

As for colouring, I'm gonna be pretty blunt here, it looks streaky and pretty odd. I get it if you're trying to show fur overlapping and stuff, but fur doesn't go in straight lines on the tail and belly and stuff

But I do still love your art. I hope this helps!

Yeee this helps so much :D
I'm gonna be honest, I never even noticed the sun was shining behind them, oops. And now I realise that's a very bad mistake to make, as it messes the whole point of shading up.

I will have to practise fur more, I agree. :'D

And snouts. Snouts have been a problem for me for quite some time. I guess I never bothered to practise on them.

Thank you so much for your constructive criticism! It really helps. <3

Well my favorite part about your art is that it's so unique. I would keep most of your style, but maybe tweak a few things.

I agree with mavi, I think you should make fur and shadows more prominent! Maybe experiment with lighting too. I've found that lighting can definitely make a piece a ton better. If the sun is behind the characters, add a brim of light around their fur.

Use references when practicing! It's the only way to improve your anatomy. I know for me whenever I'm stuck between styles ,I get a bunch of pictures of a bunch of animals and just doodle a bunch of em. Some realistic things can transfer over to your current art style. Don't forget to credit though. ;')

Last thing, regularly practice realism! It's will really help with everything, I promise.

All that being said, you're one of my favorite artists. Hope this helps !
