Plot / Background:

Wolf-dogs from low content and ultra high content have become pests in the human world. Not exactly pets, but not exactly wild. Wolf-dogs have a more conflicted mindset especially in low content ones. Unstable and unpredictable, but still social and confident around humans. As a sanctuary that saves wolf-dogs from different situations to give them a place to be free, but around humans. As the sanctuary over the years have had litters from their own wolf-dogs or rescued. They slowly began planning to introduce wolf-dogs into the wild.

A group of wolf-dogs ranging from low content wolf dogs to ultra high content ages 1-3 have been raised together to form their own social hierarchy. They know each other and some get along and some do not. The humans were very careful to not overly socialize with the species or interfere with the social hierarchy. Though it doesn't mean the wolf-dogs did not get attached to their luxurious lifestyle. But also the wolf-dogs could still get emotionally dependent on humans to a point. The pack of wolf-dogs were soon sedated and placed in soft release kennels for their experiment in the wild. The wolf dogs will wake up lethargic and dehydrated from the sedation. A mass of confusion and even panic will spark in their minds. All new sights and scents will overwhelm the pack, some may welcome it and some may be afraid. Since the wolf-dogs are young and do not fully depend on humans. They have a surviving chance to tap into their wolf instincts to be wild animals. The wolf-dogs must learn to fight and hunt together as a pack. They must learn to trust one another. They will face threats of larger apex predators. They may possibly come face to face with their wild side of lone wolves or packs.

The wolfdogs will also have to figure out the inside of their pack roles. Will they keep the same ranking as their sanctuary life? As the wolf dogs will realize that they have e collars that tell the humans locations and vitals. Will the pack divide to help the humans or ruin the experiment? The wolfdogs will be dropped off in the middle of a plain in the late summer. Only with the harsh cold winter around the corner, will they survive or perish? But with that, the wolf dogs never knowing what it's like truly to be wild and on their own. Will they figure out? And to establish pack laws if they can figure out to stay alive together..

Weather and Starting out Day:

Season: Late summer

The air will be pungent with the scent of flowers and new aromas. The wolfdogs will begin to awaken during midday when the sun is at its highest peak. (noon) The wind blowing at 5 mph from the south that brings a warm breeze. The temperature will be humid and hot at the high being 85 degrees Fahrenheit or 29.4 Celsius, some will love it and the ones with longer fur will despise it.

The wolfdogs will be awakening in separate kennels that are open for them to leave and begin their journeys. The crates will be plastic with small slits for air movement. They will be placed in a circle where all the wolfdogs can see each other when they awaken. The wolfdogs will notice a collar around their necks that are in different colors and shades from their packmates. (Merlin is light green, Doji is light purple, Anubis is bright red). They are a GPS tracking device and to monitor the wolfdogs' vitals to the humans. (Don’t forget this is an experiment for humans). All of the wolfdogs will find themselves being quenched of thirst, drowsy, and lack of appetite from the effects of being sedated. In severe cases for very few of the wolfdogs (only 2, ask first) will have trouble walking on their own.

The wolfdogs will awake in a field with no shelter or water at an eye distance. The wolfdogs will be surrounded by tall grass that reaches to their mid legs and some patches where it will cover their whole bodies. They will need to find shelter and water as their first priority. Food will have to come later due to their lack of appetite and what is more important finding water and a base camp . As wolfdogs can survive without food for almost 2 weeks. The day will be objectively tasked with finding a source of water and a new place to call home.

Merlin | Alpha | Male | Mentions: Open

The dark fur wolfdog was curled in a ball in the back of his cramped kennel. Merlin was starting to stir as he smacked his head in the side of the kennel wall. He awoke with a grunt of confusion and daze. His yellow eyes were wet from his exhaustion and tried to blink away the tears of his arrival of sleeping. Then his blurry vision begin to face away as he came aware of his new surroundings. A kennel that was definitely too small for his satisfaction, but it hit him. The new scents that were lurking outside and the familiar scents of his pack. Merlin had begun to feel fear and panic that he had the inkling knowledge of what happened to them. They were dumped into a place. They were left for dead. He kept back a snarl in disgust and disbelief of his new lifestyle.

Though a small part of him felt a twinge of excitement and curiosity of this new environment. The sanctuary was doable, they still be wolfdogs and be free and roam. But this was a different world and place that was meant for the wolfdogs. They had to call on their inner wild instincts to survive and be what they truly were. Wolves. Even if they had the short hand of the stick of being part domestic dogs, their instincts will show who will survive and succumb.

Merlin stumbled on his heavy paws that caused him to feel dizzy. He began to pant out of thirst and overall exhaustion. His eyes were sunken and drained at the cause of his sedation. A deep sleep that woke him in a vulnerable state. He stumbled out of his crate and felt the grass under his paws. He collapsed to lay down on the softer floor of the ground than the crate that made him sore and ache from the tight fit. Merlin eyes looked around at the other wolfdogs that were still knocked in their coma state. Merlin slowly rises to balance himself from falling over as he begins to have more access to his lower limbs.

His mouth was salivating from the lack of water source and the dehydration began to arise. The beating sun was upon them with no shelter except their crates. Merlin personally would rather die of heat exhaustion than fit himself back into that crate. He sat on his haunches waiting for someone to awaken. Merlin was ready to move for his pack’s safety and to find what they needed. A home. His tail was thumping on the ground in excitement and impatience. He was ready to see and explore, but more importantly provide the safety and stability for the pack as they need it more than ever.

Merlin sat in his thoughts pondering Why would these humans leave us out here? Did we do something wrong? Some of us can survive out here but some will struggle to adapt to the new changes. Did they just really leave us out here to die?

Merlin watched as the birds flew high in the sky, cawing at them and circles around them. He tilted his head at the sight curious of the why. He could faintly hear the rushing of a river as it was far from what he could see as he couldn't even see it. But he could hear it faintly. But at least a water source is nearby. Merlin looked to see a mountain range north of them, that the very top still had the white snow from the lack of oxygen and frigid weather up top. The beauty of nature and wildlife but Merlin had no clue of how truly dangerous it is aswell.

Echo/Subordinate/Female/Mentions: Open
She felt something was wrong and when she moved only to hit something did Echo realize that she was in something. Something way too small and restricting for her to move but to her relief she could smell others. Tiredly she started scratching at what she assumed would be the exit as she started panting from thirst and feeling the hunger hit her.

The minute that she was out of what had ended up being a crate and glancing around. So many new strange sounds and smells that hit her. Shaking herself and nearly stumbling before getting her balance.

Where are they? How many of them are here?, thought Echo as she calmed down.

Her blue eyes looked around and took in everything around her.

Sable/Subordinate/female/mentions: Echo and Merlin

Sable slowly stirred awake. She felt like her limbs were made of lead. She tried stretching her legs, only to be met with the sides of the transporter. She quickly opened her eyes, not recognizing where she was or all the new scents. Her mouth felt like it was full of cotton; she would do just about anything for a drink of water right now.

Cautiously, she moved out of her crate, looking around for predators or something lurking, only to be met by the scent of the others. Then she noticed Merlin. Surely, he would know what to do in this situation. She sat down in front of the crate she had woken up in and looked around. It confirmed what she had been thinking. They weren’t at the sanctuary anymore. She looked at Echo and Merlin, the only two out of their crates right now, and noticed the collars they both had on, only then did she realize she herself had one of those annoying things on her.

Kiran/M/Subordinate/M:Open
Kiran shuffled within the crate slowly shaking it, he Blinked twice before observing where he was, he stumbled to his paws his head banged onto the ceiling of the inclosed crate
Oof he grunted before sinking back down to stare around the enclosed crate, panic started flaring in his eyes as seperation anxiety began settling in his breath became more fast as he looked around desperately smelling the air, as he sent merlin and the others he let out a sigh of relief now that he knew he wasn't alone questions began spinning and realization set in.
He looked around as his eyes adjusted to the light pouring in.
Grass? He though before hesitating to move forward, he sighed gathering up courage and stepped out the crate, he looked around in awe taking in the sight, endless plains, high mountains and a river?

Recon | Subordinate | Male | Mentions: Open

The brindle male laid on his side, his nose pressed against one wall of the kennel while his hind end brushed against the opposite side. There was a throbbing pain in his head and his limbs felt like tar, sluggish and hard to move. His thoughts flowed like molasses, where was he? What happened? But no answers came. Recon tried to lift his head, but instead of a fluid motion, his snout just whacked itself against the metal wall. He let out a low rumbling groan and began to open his deep blue eyes. It seemed to take a moment for his body to respond as he looked around, suddenly feeling cramped and slightly claustrphobic. But as his body worked to wake up, a freight train of new scents assulted his nose. For a minute it was hard for him to seperate the familiar scent of his pack from the hundreds of new smells around him. It was overwhelming and he buried his nose in his paw for a moment, taking a few deep breaths to calm himself down. The more overwhelmed he got, the more stressed he became, the more likely he was to be down for the count for awhile. He couldn't afford to have an episode, not now. Not when he needed to assess the new environment and protect his packmates.

Recon slowly pushed himself up onto his paws, wobbling and tripping over himself to land on his other side. He grumbled to himself for a moment before managing to get himself to his paws and take a slow step out into the grass. He felt dizzy, like he would fall over at any moment and he didn't really appreciate that feeling. Once he was out of that nasty crate, Recon laid down, taking a moment to breathe and get a good look at the world around him. He breathed a sigh of relief as he noticed a few of his packmates were already out of their crates. Thank the stars everyone seemed to be alright. He glanced up at the sky, already beginning to feel incredibly warm. And now that he thought about it, his mouth felt like a desert.

Recon rolled over onto his side, resting his head in the grass as he panted, trying to cool down, even just a little bit. As he tried to shake the heavy feeling from his body, he couldnt help but wonder how many of them were here, why they were here, and what had happened to cause them to be sent wherever here was.

Doji | Female | Subordinate | M: Indirect : Recon,Merlin,Echo,Kiran

The multi-colored wolfdog woke up in a panic with a loud yelp smacking her on top of her kennel. A panic of where she was made her uneasy and agitated. Her fur bristled as her light amber eyes adjusted to the brightness of the outside and she saw some of her packmates awake. She relaxed a little seeing the familiar faces of her friends. They were out of the sanctuary and somewhere in the unknown. The scent of flowers and fresh water filled her nose, making her drool from the quench of her dry mouth. Her bobbed tail was high and alert. Her legs were wobbly as she moved silently out of her kennel.

Her eyes landed on Recon laying on the ground panting from the heat most likely. Her heart ached and wanted to help, but she would stray away. Her eyes narrowed at the others regaining their senses and looking confused.

Doji silently exited the kennel as her feet was light and she pushed into the large grassy plain that covered her whole body. Doji could not sit and wait for the others to wake and talk about what’s going on. She hated going off on her alone as it was incredibly dangerous, but they all needed water. Everyone was beginning to have symptoms of dehydration or already were. It quickened her pace as her mind was racing thinking of everyone’s need of survival. The sun was beating down on her pelt making her tongue lounge outside of her mouth to keep herself cool.

Doji couldn't focus on the beauty around her as much as the dangers and everyone’s threat of dying. Though it was beautiful to pass by but not truly take in and experience it. Her ears listened for the sound of the rushing water as she was heading the wrong direction, she turned her body more south and set off from there.

Doji was panting and the saliva of her mouth was dripping as moved. She did not fully run or walk as it was more wobbly now as she continued. Though she would not let herself rest. She won’t even let herself experience what she was feeling or let herself take a break. Her mind was focused on the task she had given herself. Doji’s light amber vision was going in and out, though she pushed on the pain.

After a short while, she found the water as she took a gulp of water. Doji laid on the bank enjoying the soft water sprays to cool her down. She collapsed but she was awake. Her mouth and throat was too dry to say anything.. Her limbs were now limp and out of her control. Doji let herself take in the beauty around her. A selfish thought for her to do. The loud roar of the river and the fish she saw swimming down the current. The daffodils flying in the breeze decorating the blue sky of small white petals. Doji accepted her new home, out with the old and to take on the new.
