Plot

The Wild Hunt was nothing more but a story to scare pups into obeying their parents. The elders tell stories about The Wild Hunt. Every story has its take on the pack, but they all hold one similarity: The Wild Hunt are monsters. Wolves whose not afraid of killing their kin for personal benefits. Stories say that three packs united together to chase The Wild Hunt off into the outskirts, and the pack was never seen again. The three packs stayed as one, creating the pack The Golden Sun. Preparing themselves in case The Wild Hunt were to return. Until now, they emerge from the shadows. Vengence held strong within their eyes, wanting to return to Aboveground and reclaim what's theirs. Meeting their old enemy, The Golden Sun-with the two equal when it comes to prowess. Prepare yourself for battle and show no mercy for your foes.

This wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for a usurper-the new emperor of The Wild Hunt. A wolf that grew tired of living underground. One who grew tired of being stuck in the shadows while the other packs thrive. Thanks to his rule, the pack would finally have a full stomach and fields of green to roll around in.

Now, shall the hunt begin?

Rules

1. Be active. Don't join and suddenly disappear. That would ruin the RP experience. I expect posts 1-2 a week, and if you need to take a break or be inactive please inform me beforehand via PM or Discussion.

2. Romance is accepted, but remember, romance can't be between your characters. Also, you are allowed to have your characters be siblings, cousins, etc.

3. Your character can get hurt or killed. They're not immortal beings. When they fight, make sure they get a tad bit injured. No OP or Mary Sue, Weeping Willow's, Gary's, or any characters of the like.

4. This is a Semi-Literate to Literate RP. I expect at least 150 + words per post. Put the missing number somewhere in your form, hidden. Also, I required a detailed and well-written appearance and personality of your character. This includes proper grammar rules. Any form not following these requirements will be declined.

5. No OOC problems. Hate the character but not the player - any instances of unbecoming behavior will not be tolerated, and mods will be contacted if needed.

6. Reservations last for 48 hours. If you need to extend it, be sure to message me.

7. I as the owner of the RP reserve the right to accept and decline forms as I see fit. I will not tolerate rude behavior towards me just because you got declined - if you do get declined, try and work on your form and maybe it'll get accepted due to the corrections. Put, tomatoes, in other.

8. If you use an image, be sure to credit it too. Same if you want to post a picture using an art/drawn image.

9. Any questions are to be asked via PMs - I don't want this thread clogged up.

10. I understand that backstories are fun and giving characters angst and tragedy makes them spicy, but come on - not every single character needs a sob story, but also please don't anyways make your characters have the best or perfect life.

11. Make sure to read everything!

12. Have fun!

Credits to Spellbound for da rules.

The Wild Hunt Territory

Camp

The camp is located underground and connected to a large ravine to the west. To the East is a dead forest known as Bare-Tree Forest, which has little-to-no life. The North has a huge tar field known as the Black Sea-main source of collecting bones. The South is named the Viper Pit, an abandoned quarry filled with venomous snakes and mountain lions. Finally, the West-a dried-up ravine and a long fall.

The Royal Family's Den and Throne Room

To get to this den, you have to reach the other side of the ravine. Using the Bone Bridge to reach the den-the bridge was naturally formed by Mother Nature herself. The Bone Bridge is covered in a variety of animal bones. Yes, even remains of deceased wolves. The den's entrance is huge and so is the inside of the den. The inside of the den has enough space to fit over 20 wolves. In the way back of the den, is the Throne of Carnage-made out of stones and with a bear fur draped over it. On the top of the throne is the skull of the First Emperor. To the left of the throne is the den meant for the royal heir and mate, and everyone but the royal guards is forbidden to enter. To the right of the throne is a den for the royal family: the royal offspring, close family, and the royal wet nurse. Same as before, you're forbidden to enter. Towering over the throne is a balcony with a den which is meant for the emperor and their consort. To get up on the balcony, you have to use two staircases made of uneven terrain on either side of the throne. As for lighting, luminescent stones, in a variety of sizes, are scattered throughout the throne room and the two dens.

The Royal Guards Den

The Royal Guards Den is set next to the exit to the Bone Bridge, making sure no one crosses the bridge without permission. The den is only big enough to hold 8. At the back of the den is a big hole that has a clear view of the entrance to the royal family's den. The nests within the Royal Guards' den are the fur of the first predator-based animal they killed. Outside the den are a stack of rocks: four on the left and four on the right. On top of the rocks are the skulls of the first 8 royal guards. For lighting, when it's the day, the Sun shines perfectly inside through the hole. Once the night arrives, smaller luminescent stones make the inside lit up. The Royal Guard den is the 3rd largest, coming in after the Healer's den.

Healer's Cave

The 2nd largest den after the royal family's, meant to hold a lot of wolves for medical purposes. Located between the squires and chasseurs cave, not far from the entrance. Inside is spacious but lacks any vegetation-besides herbs that are collected. The herbs are gathered with the help of bats that has their little room where they sleep in. Originally, the Bat Room was meant to grow herbs, but due to the infertile soil, nothing can grow. Same as the royal guards, there's a window, but it's only big enough for the bats to fly in and out. Luminescent stones are mainly in the ceiling, lighting up the entirety of the den. The only room that has no lighting is the Bat Room since they prefer the dark. Two dens are inside, next to the small window: the one on the left being the Healer's, and the right den meant for the two apprentices.

The Knight, Soldiers, and Squires Cave

Located on the left side of the Healer's den is the cave meant for the fighters of the pack. A large circular cave, with an elevated stone directly in the center, is meant for the knight. The more older and experienced warriors sleep close to the elevated rocks. The rookies and weakest members sleep away from the elevated rock, hugging the walls of the cave. A quiet hierarchy within the fighter's rank, and one you have to pick up quickly unless you get punished. There are multiple cracks in the ceiling, allowing sunlight and moonlight to seep through to light up the inside. Only a small amount of luminescent stones are seen on the elevated rock in the center. Across the entrance, on the other side of the elevated rock, is a tunnel that leads to the training arena. The training arena is rectangular, with a flat surface surrounded by walls that are covered in dried-up vines. There's no ceiling, allowing the Sun and Moon to shine directly in the center of the arena.

The Shikari, Nimrods, and Hunters

The inside of the den used to be filled with bountiful fresh water and land-a small lake inside the cave. The water left, leaving the litoeral land behind. On the land are dead trees and shrubs, a small memorial of the plant life that used to grow there. Along the wall of the beach is a den made from fallen trees that are held together by deceased vines. This den is for the Shikari-only them and experienced hunters are permitted to enter. The experienced hunters sleep on the island, outside the Shikari den, while the recruits sleep off the island, the small but of land that once stored water. On the right side of the island (a good distance away from the Shikari den) is a tunnel system that leads to the very bottom of the ravine-the training ground for the hunters. The tunnel is a rather long journey,-inexperienced hunters are known to get exhausted during the trip. The ceiling has cracks in the ceiling to allow lighting in, while the tunnel to the ravine is lit up by glow stones. This den is located on the right side of the healer's den.

The Nursery

A den across from the three major roles, a cave meant for pregnant females, nursing mothers, and pups. The nursery isn't anything special, a decent amount of space-big enough for the pups to run and tussle about. Nests are made of fur and bones, with the smaller bones being used as chew toys. When the pups no longer need milk, their mothers may return to their respectful dens to carry on their duties. Thralls babysit the pups until they're old enough to become Unmarked. If the Thralls were to lose a pup, their punishment varies depending on how important the pup's family is.

Unmarked Cave

This cave is located beside the thralls cave, this is for the pups that finally hit the age of 1 and have no official rank just yet. Big enough to fit a total of 15 with ledges and small holes in the walls to sleep in. In the center of the cave is a singular large, rotten tree that's quite creepy to look at. As for the ceiling, there's a huge hole in the center of it-allowing light to shine directly on the tree. If you're a good climber, you're free to sleep in the tree, but I wouldn't recommend doing it.

Thrall's Cave

Their cave is located the farthest away from the entrance to the cave so they won't be able to sneak past so easily. Their cave isn't anything of importance, meant to hold those who have no purpose for the pack or prisoners that are deemed untrustworthy. They're tasked with cleaning up the place, amusing the higher ranks, watching the pups, and used as puppets. Their cave is tight, with barely enough space, so you're brushing against someone all the time. The ground is uneven, with little to no lighting, and the worse place to sleep.

Training Grounds

The Ravine of Despair

The ravine that's directly under Bone Bridge and used as a training ground for the hunters. A long and tedious obstacle course. Used to help build athleticism and stamina within the rookies, and can be used as a race track if needed. The ravine has fallen trees, rockslides, and fog that is hard to see. This ravine is used by mountain lions, bears, and snakes that use this as a pathway. Be careful what you bump into, you might collide with a hungry bear. If a Thrall broke a rule too many times, they're used as prey for the recruits to hunt down and kill.

Arena of Valor

The training ground that's used to train novice fighters. With pathways alongside the walls that are big enough for a wolf to walk and sit along. A more extended ledge that overlooks the training pit is for the knight to observe everything that once. The Knight and Soldiers are the only ones to use these ledges, while the squires remain in the pit. Thralls are used as training dummies if a wolf doesn't have a partner to spar with-even if the Thrall has been on its best behavior.

Landmarks

Viper Pit

An abandoned quarry to the south of the pack's cave. Its purpose is to punish thralls or extreme training method for wolves that want to become a Royal Guard. To those wanting to become a Royal Guard, they have to go all the way down and make it back up while avoiding the reptiles.

Predators

-Hawks
-Eagles
-Snakes
-Mountain Lions

Bare-Tree Forest

This used to be a thriving forest that once held beauty and sustainable food, but now it's barren. Rotten trees are everywhere, with some being easy to break. If you're a clumsy fool or have terrible luck, a tree could fall on you at any given time. There are cases of rivers that used to flow here long ago, but now it's just pathways. A trainee of the Royal Guards has to camp out here for an entire week with no food and water.

Predators

-Bears
-Boars
-Mountain Lions
-Coyotes

Black Sea

A whole field of tar and the grave of the First Emperor is located in the center of a lake of tar. There are no predators as deadly as the nomads that claim these lands, some resulting in cannibalism to sustain themselves. Wolves that are banished from the pack are escorted here and to never return. This is also the final trial for the wannabe Royal Guard, having to cross the tar field and give thanks to the First Emperor's grave.

Predators

-Nomads
-Wolverines
-Oddly enough, spiders
-Vultures

Laws of the Wild Hunt

1: Speaking back to those above you will result in punishment. Respect mannerisms and have utmost obedience.
2: Never question the decisions of the ruler, unless they ask you.
3: You're free to explore, but be sure to ask for permission first.
4: The ruling family eats first, then the royal guards, the leaders, the experienced fighters and hunters, pups, nursemaids, the recruits, and lastly, the thralls eat last. If you are caught eating without waiting, you'll be severely punished.
4: Pups are to be watched over and protected at all costs. Mainly pups born within the ruling family or pups whose family is closely tied to the royal family.
5: Having pups without permission would result in punishment-not only towards you, but the pups as well.
6: All ranks can be challenged except for the royal family. If caught planning to overthrow, the punishment is a swift execution.
7: Despite being a pack built off of blood, infidelity is scolded upon. Caught doing such acts, you'll be demoted to Thrall and will remain there.
8: Do as you're told and there won't be any issues. Rebel in any way, you'll be demoted to Thrall temporarily.

Pack Mannerisms/Labels

Emperor/Empress

Address them properly: imperial majesty (name), emperor/empress (name), his/her majesty (name), the emperor/empress (name). Failing to do so would result in punishment for you and your family. Be sure to remember this well and keep it lodged in your head. Never look them in the eye, unless you're permitted. You must bow when they approach, head lowered and body arched into a bow. You may rise when they ordered you to, and speak to them formally. Children of the rulers should be called: royal highness (name). The royal heir and heir-consort should be addressed: the royal heir (name) and heir-consort (name).

The Royal Family

Close family members should also be addressed with respect and formality. Never look at them in the eyes and bow slightly as they approach. If you're not a member of the royal family, address them as duke/duchess (name). Their children are addressed as young duke/duchess (name) and should be held the same amount of respect as their parents. If the emperor/empress were to disappear, the royal heir would step in. If there's no heir, the oldest family member will step in and take over.

The Royal Guards

The guards are called Sir/Lady (name) and should also get respect. You don't have to bow to them, but be sure to keep your distance unless they approach you first. If you offend them, they have every right to punish them. Insult them verbally or physically, the royal family will intervene-depending on the severity of your actions. They're allowed to have children since the royal guard is a rank that's passed down through the family.

Healer and Apprentices

Address the Healer as grand-healer (name) and their apprentices as healer-apprentice (name). You're free to look them in the eyes, but don't do it for too long. No need to bow to them, yet show a moderate amount of respect to the healer. They're not allowed to have pups or have mates-they're main priority is healing the sick and injured.

The Knight

The knight is addressed as knight-commander (name) by everyone, even the royal family out of respect for their service. You must nod your head in salutations before approaching, yet you don't have to bow or avoid eye contact. Those within the fighting rank would call them knight-commander too, but those close to the knight-commander are free to call them by their name. The mate of the knight-commander is labeled as sir/madam (name).

The Shikari

The master of the hunt and the main source of getting food for the pack. Without them, everyone would starve to death, as such, it's right to respect them. They're addressed as master-hunter/huntress (name) by everyone, even the royal family. As mentioned before, those close to them are free to call them by their name without the formal title. The mate of the shikari is addressed as sir/madam (name). Give them the same amount of respect as the knight.

Unmarked and Thralls

They're to eat last and only speak when spoken to. They have to keep their head down, and eyes down in the presence of others and can never refuse any given order. They may not fight back whenever they're being punished. The Unmarked are not allowed to have mates unless they're able to prove themselves to the pack. However, the Thralls aren't allowed to mate in general. They have a curfew, despite having different caves for themselves. Caught breaking the curfew, they'll be punished accordingly.

The Wild Hunt

Highest Ranks

Emperor/Empress (1/1)

Those who hold a position of power over their subjects, as they are responsible for leading pack hunts, establishing territory and ensuring its safety, accepting strangers into the pack, or driving away despicable wolves. To maintain order and control, the leader must take many precautions to make sure the pack isn't disturbed. They're always the first to eat from a kill, getting the biggest portions and the best cuts. As a rule, the pack is told what it should do, where they need to go, and how it should work. They demand respect and are in the position to punish or banish those who do not show it. Their command can not be disobeyed without consequences.

-Dragoslav (Cereal)

The Royal Consort (0/1)

Locked for now.

The mate of the emperor/empress should always be treated with the same amount of respect as their mate. If they have no chosen heir, they're free to take over the pack while they're gone. If you disrespect them, then you're second-handly disrespecting your ruler. If you value your tongue, keep your words tightly sealed. They have the same amount of responsibilities as their mate, but only if the mate were to leave for whatever reasons.

-Closed

The Royal Offspring

Locked for now.

The children of the current ruling family, but the royal heir gets more power than their siblings due to their level of importance. Instead of going by the firstborn, they go by the strongest pup out of the litter, so picking the heir is quite a difficult task.

Royal Heir and Heir Consort

-Closed
-Closed

Princes and Princesses

-Closed

The Royal Family

Locked for now.

Close relatives of the emperor/empress, and can be next-in-line if they're no heirs to the throne. If there is no available heir, consort, or royal offsprings, and the current ruler was to leave temporality. They're free to take over until they get back. However, only the oldest member of the royal family can take over the throne at that given moment. They're the deltas of the pack.

-Lavinia (Cereal)
-Amaterasu (Spellbound)
-Closed

Mid-Ranks

The Royal Guards (1/8)

Personal protectors of the royal family and only express true loyalty to their beloved ruler. These wolves are handpicked at a young age and have to go through difficult courses to become this rank. They cannot be challenged and are considered closet allies to the royal family. Insult them, you're insulting your beloved ruler. They know the territory at the back of their heads, are experts when it comes to survival, and masters when it comes to fighting. Surpassing the knight-commander when it comes to fighting. If they were to die, their offspring can take over their rank and have to go through the same training.

Healer (0/1)

The medic of the pack, also known as the shaman, and one who has a vast knowledge of herbs. Or poisons. it depends on what you want. The healer does daily check-ups on their pack members to ensure the pack remains strong. They help with soon-to-mothers and check on the healthiness of the pups. They can train up to two apprentices and have to remain unmated and childless as their duty should be their top priority. They're added by bats to help gathered herbs, and to make sure the bats are well-kept too.

-Reserved by Spellbound

Apprentices (0/2)

Young wolves training to be the next healer, there are two in case one of them were to mysteriously die.

-Open
-Open

Knight (0/1)

The master when it comes to fighting (not as strong as the royal guards) and expert when a strategy is involved. They're tasked with pairing the experienced wolves up with the rookies to ensure training is going smoothly. With the assistance of the emperor/empress, they order patrols and what routes that need to be patrolled. They can be challenged, especially if they're starting to lose their strength and momentum.

-Open

Shikari (0/1)

The master of hunting and in charge of setting up hunting expeditions. If needed, they can send the hunters on scouting missions. Normally, skilled hunters are accompanied by one other and some rookies to show them how it's done. They're in charge of daily training and ensuring the hunters are up to speed every day. This rank can be challenged if they're growing too old and can hunt no longer.

-Open

Low-Ranks

Soldiers and Squires (0/10)

Fighters and defenders on the pack. Mostly filled with stocky and large wolves, which makes them quite slow when it comes to running, yet professionals when it comes to battles.

-Open

Nimrods and Hunters (0/10)

They're given orders by the Shikari, acting as both the hunters and scouts for the pack. Much smaller and nimble wolves, weak when it comes to fighting, yet masters when it involves hunting/tracking.

-Open

Nursemaids (0/3)

They're that want to help raise the pups, where the royal nursemaid serves only the offspring of the royal family. If a she-wolf wants to remain as a nursemaid, like stepping in when a mother can't produce milk, they can. They're also free to rejoin the rank they previously were in. Elderly females are nursemaids to help new mothers through the mothering process.

They're not allowed to speak unless spoken to and can tag along on missions with the hunters and warriors.

-Open

Thralls (Unlimited)

The servants of the pack and doesn't need to be shown respect. If anyone is caught being nice to them, they'll be instantly demoted to the rank of thralls. Thralls are prisoners of intruders, rival packs, outsiders wanting to join, or traitors that are trying to redeem themselves. Until they're able to show their clear loyalties, they hold no importance.

-Open

Nomads and Banished

┍━━━━━━━♔━━━━━━━┑

Dragoslav

"the Sun-Eater"

┕━━━━━━━♔━━━━━━━┙

"I don't tolerate foolishness and cowardice. If you can't handle one measly battle-you're not worth my time."

Name:
Dragoslav

Age:
6 Years Old

Gender:
Male

Rank:
Emperor

Desired Rank:
Satisfied, indeed.

Apperance:

(credits to Fall-of-rain on DA)

Dragoslav is a large and muscular male, with a height of 7 feet and a weight of 175 lbs. With him being large, he has to be careful with how he uses his stamina. For an odd thing to say, Dragoslav is pretty to look at, even though he can rip out your throat with ease. He has a light-cream-colored coat with eyes as blue as the cloudy sky. His left ear is torn halfway, but he pays no mind to this scar. In his case, having scars is honorable and will show stories of fascinating battles. His body is decorated with battle scars from harsh training and small, forgetful wars. He's not afraid to show off and share how he got them. Dragoslav's nose has a rigged scar on it. On his neck are teeth marks he got from the previous emperor that he killed. Cherishing his neck scar like it's some sort of trophy.

Personality:
He's ambitious as can be and wants to expand the limit of his power by any means necessary. You see the sunset as something beautiful to gaze upon while he sees the far distant lands as something conquerable. Once his eyes are set on something, he wants to have it, even if it means killing off his kin for his own greedy needs. His father tried to sway his aspiring mindset, wanting him to believe that it was his imagination playing tricks on him. Indeed, Dragoslav did have an odd sense when it comes to mind. He thought about taking over this pack that was filled with lazy slobs. Soon, his daydream became a reality when he finally had the strength to do it.

Every ambitious king has flaws, with his main flaw being that he's paranoid. Believing that everyone will stab him in the back if they got the chance. To keep himself safe and sane, he keeps his distance from other members unless required to interact with him. Most of the time, he's in the throne room or roaming around the pack territories to make sure no one is having any secret meetings. He wasn't always like this, but after he discovered what his father did, his heart and mind has become isolated. Only trusting a few wolves, and barely sharing how he feels. This makes it hard to flirt with him as he'll shrug it off and walk away. Dragoslav is gullible when it comes to love as he doesn't prioritize it.

His main love is towards the battlefield, and the craving to make someone's life miserable. Mainly towards those he names as his enemies-looking at you, The Golden Sun. What he fails at flirting, he's an expert at making one's mood turn bitter. It all occurred when the previous emperor grew lazy and undesired in making the pack stronger. Dragoslav sees the true potential the pack can bring, so he volunteered to take over the pack. Known to be merciless towards those that dare try to stop him from his goal. He would forget about the ones he deems unhonorable. However, he would respect those that show true valor and bravery during battle. His father joked that he was born on a battlefield, though his joke could've held some truth.

Only a few dare to approach him, which is a wise thing to do. He has a time limit until he explodes in rage-might end up killing you in a fit of rage. Dragoslav is hot-headed and tends to snap at others who annoyed him too much. Mostly, when his plans either fail, or he doesn't get what he wants. Childish outbursts, others may think, but it goes deeper than that. Being born a bastard and working tirelessly as thrall, could drive one close to mentally snapping. Having little to no parental advice, he doesn't understand how to cope with extreme emotions and so resides in expressing anger. Those who he's close with can approach him. Funnily enough, only one wolf he's terrified of is one of those few.

+Expert when it comes to fighting as an ex-member of the royal guards.

-Has a hard time trusting others, making him paranoid a slight bit.
-Can get jealous if someone has something he wants. Distracting him thanks to his mind making plans on how to get it.

Affiliations:
Amaterasu: His childhood best friend that he awkwardly has a crush on. These two have a bond unlike any other, and the only wolf he truly fears. In his eyes, she's light to his darkness, but he won't admit that in person. Dragoslav isn't good at showing or receiving compliments, so he would accidentally insult her as an attempt at flirting. She doesn't seem offended by it, and truly understands what he's trying to do. Yes. She'll laugh at him and he'll snap at her, but that's what they've always done with each other. Amaterasu is the only wolf he'll begrudgingly accept when it comes to addressing him without using his title.
