Plot
The Bull Creek Pack has been living in their territory for generations. They are known as a very religious and ritualistic pack with a strict hierarchy. Even though it's odd and and kind of scary, it's why they survive . They have some of the hardiest and strongest wolves among the pack. They are a healthy and well revered pack among others. The pack is known to survive the toughest conditions, and that's evident with the latest harsh winter. Most of the pack survived however few were lost. The thoughts of Winter loom over them, however the season is Spring has arrived and with it , it brings many new opportunities. The wolves may begin to raise young again and challenge for rankings and some wolves may even be due for a promotion.

However the most exciting and dangerous part of Spring is the annual Trials where the juveniles between 1-2 must being to prove their worth for the pack. They have two attempts, when they are one they can attempt the trial for the first time and if the pass then they are assigned a rank, and they may try again at 2 if the don't pass. Those who don't pass are cast out of the pack or if they were close to passing, they are ranked as an Omega and must climb their way to the top.

This years Sigma's are proving to be especially talented, will you pass or will you be left within the dust?

Territory
Densite

The densite is nestled into a large mountain which is bordered by a coniferous forest to the North of it, a wetlands to the East, a Plains to the South, and a Desert to the West.

The Alpha's Den

The one of the larger dens within the cavern system. This den is where both Alphas lay their head to rest and where they hold meetings with the Beta and Delta. This den can house at least 12 wolves at a time within it. It has a large crack within it where the light seeps in at the earling morning and illuminates the cave. The cave also has a curious rock formation that appears to be like two little "thrones". This is where the Alphas sit when meeting or taking reports, it's even a bit elevated a nice bit. To the south wall of the den is a large ledge where a pile of rabbit, deer, and other anime hides are laid together as a sort of bedding where they sleep. On the west wall is a opening where they can step out onto a large ledge and over look the territory, it even has protective stagmites around it to prevent one from falling off. This wall is usually hidden by snow during the Winter. Outside the den is a large circular area where you can see the entrance to the Beta and Delta Den, and a large corrider leading to the other regions within the mountain.

The Beta Den

This den is diagonal to right side of the Alpha's Den and horizontal to the Delta Den. This den isn't as large as the Alpha's den since there can only be up to one Beta at a time. However, family members of the Beta whether it be siblings, mate, parents, and children may reside in this den with them. The den can support up to 5 wolves resting within it. This den has a deep center within in where curiously a pit of sand is, no one knows how it got there but that's where it is. This den also has a curious rock formation that can double as a mini "throne" for said wolf to meet with others and take complaints of other wolces. On the south wall of the den there is a small descent into what could be called a "basement" the Beta may use it as they please, and it can easily be blocked of by a boulder. On the west wall they have a small growth of pyrenean buttercups, mountain harebells, and fireweeds, the scent perfumes the cave and gives it a lovely aroma.

The Delta Den

This den is diagonal to the left side of the Alpha Den and horizontal to the Beta Den. Much like the Beta Den, it isn't as large since there is only one Delta at a time. Also again, family members and mates may reside in this den with the Delta. This den is similar in size to the Beta, being able to support up to 5 wolves residing within it. This den is more of an open den with a large clear wall to the east side of it, and a long and rocky trail that leads down into the forest. This exit is not usually used as it is hazardous and is usually blocked off. It's quite annoying at times, especially when a random mountain goat decides to pop in the den, or during the winter when mounds of snow block the lighting. In the center of the den is a deep pit where many animal skins lay, this is where the Delta usually sleeps. The Delta doesn't have a fancy "throne" but the have a rock they can prop themselves on to sit.

The Sentinal's Den

Once you leave the long corrider from the area of high ranking wolves, you'll find the dens of the middle ranking wolves. The den of the Sentinals can hold exactly 4 wolves, and possibly have wiggle room for some guests. Their are four large and smooth ledges at the corner of each den that have animal skins for the Sentinals to rest on. They have a large pit in the middle with dirt that has some beautiful naupuka flowers growing within the soil. They also have a large area where they keep "waste" usually carcasses eaten. This den also has dim lighting.

The Apothecary and Resource Watcher's Den

Once you past the Sentinal Den you go down a deep descent to a cavern. It's quite a beautiful cavern, you can see vast amounts of glow worms, and a pool where the glow worms leave their excriment, but it's actually pretty luminescent poo, just don't try and get into it. Once you mast the cavern area you will find the largest den within the mountain. This den can hold up to 25 wolves at a time. Why were they given the largest den? They need it just in case a wolf needs to stay down for observation or be quarintined, and to treat multiple wolves at once and not have a crowded area. The first section of the den acually has grass and dirt, and a opening where the sun seeps in to give the plants life, and even a nice source of water. This is the Herb/Agriculture room where the herbs are grown [even if they're not in season] and stored. The next section is a large and warm cave area, it is not damp and stuffy, but quite inviting, this is where sick wolves rest and are treated. The walls are lined with soft pelts and moss for them to sleep on, and there is a narrow area that leads down into an area where a medium sized lava pit is, this is what heats the room above, and in the summer they open a small area to let snow it to chill the space and keep above rooms chill. The last area are the Sleeping Quarters where like the Sentinals there are four corners in this large area where the Apothecary and the apprentices sleep along with the Resource Watcher. They have a large water source in the middle that has an assortment of mountain herbs growin around it. Overall, it's quite a lovely den.

Head Warrior and Warriors Den

Once you go back up the entrace from the Den of the Apothecary and the Resource Watcher you have to walk down a large rocky hall, and turn a corner before going to the connected living area of the Head Warriors, Warriors and the Hunters and Sigmas. Once you walk in you are met by a wall and then to the right is the den for the Warriors and the Head Warriors. And to the left is the other den that will be explained later. When you do to the den for the Head Warrior and Warriors you'll find a large rectangular shape area that holds up to 12 wolves, and there are specific areas fro the wolves to sleep with what can be described as a carpet of grass along the middle of the area. And farther in the back is the area reserved for the Head Warrior. In that den it has a large ledge where the Head Warrior sleeps and then a small elevation where they give orders for the Warriors and talks about training. This den also has many "rug" like carcasses.

Huters and Sigma's Den

Again, you are at the crossroads, if you turn left you find the dens for the Hunters and Sigmas. The hunter den has a similar shape to the Warrior's den with the rectangular shape, but instead of the grass they place hunted carcasses of animals as prizes in the center. Also the larger you bed with caracsses mean the better hunter you are. They have skull mounts to decorate the area as well and small sporatic flower and herbal growth. This area can also hold 12 wolves. In the back is a large circular area that holds up to 10 Sigmas, this are has lots of carcasses to decorate it along with a large pool of water in the middle that deep enough to swim in. And the circular corners has ledges seperated by rock walls that each Sigma has a large ledge to sleep on.

The Nursery

This den is where all pups are sent under the watch of an appointed wolf. This den has a large center, where the sleepy pups pile up when resting, and the center is full of moss, feathers, and soft furs and carcasses for them to rest on. This den has quite a large and spacious area for the pups to run around in and a small pool of water for them to splash in for amusement. Pups are allowed "field trips" to go peek in other dens, tag along with other members for a little bit and go outside the den to play for a while. Newborn pups are keept further back, where the area is the darkest and best spot, since newborns are blind, and there are 4 areas for mothers with pups to watch their pups play and chat with each other if they desired. It can also be a daycare for the pups who live in den with parents like the children of the Alpha, Beta, and Delta along with sometimes Warriors and Hunters.

The Omega's Area

This is the deepest and darkest part of the mountain. This place has no sense of comfort. The rocks are jagged and sharp, with a sparse tattered pelt that most fight over to sleep on. Not to mention it's cold and damp in this area. The area holds up to 6 Omegas at a time but there is no sense of privacy, and a wolf is assigned every morning to wake the Omegas up early to begin their duties of cleaning dens, running errands, and changing beddings for wolves.

The Hunting and Training Grounds

White Powder Mountains

This large mountain is what the wolves call home. It's a dangerous and perilous place but it's home for them. It is a large dormant volcanic mountain. The structure is sturdy and not seeming to be going anywhere anytime soon. This area is prone to avalanches and blizzards so one has to be careful. The mountain turns quite a beautiful green during the summer and spring months. And yes this mountain was a dormant volcano but the volcanic action ceased and died off. All that remains of it is the Lava Pits within the mountain. There is a large lake on the mountain as well it's Crystal Lake because of how it shines.

Forest of Ëoe

This large coniferous forest borders the North of the White Powder Mountains. The forest is a large expanse that could be described as a taiga that is part of a connecting Delta that is the Winding Whistle Wetlands which dumps off into the Sea of Orish. You can find most wolves hunting here considering the closeness to the Den. This is where the Trials all start. In the middle of the forest is a large clearing where the light pours in so splendidly- this is the site where the Sigma's duke it out under careful watch. It's known as Okame's Clearing. A little than 4 miles away from this clearing is the Salmon River, this river leads down to the White Rush Rapids which turn into the Rainbow Falls which then spills into the Winding Whistle Wetlands.

Important Land Markers

- Okame's Clearing

- Salmon River and parts of White Rush Rapids

White Rush Rapids

This is the section of the Salmon River that is very dangerous. It's is noted because of its strong and deadly currents, one can easily die her if they aren't strong enough to swim against the currents. This is where the swimming portion of the Trials take place. The young wolf is expected to swim against the currents and find a way to the bank before they reach the Rainbow Falls. No wolf is allowed to interfere so if they go over the falls then it's a wrap for that wolf, unless they miraculously survive and at that point they'll be disqualified.

Ranks Explained

High Ranks

The Alphas

The Alphas are the highest ranking members of the wolf pack as they hold absolute control over their pack members. They are responsible for leading the pack on hunts, establishing pack territory and its safety, accepting strangers into the pack or driving errant wolves out of the pack. They are responsible for keeping the pack in order and in control and will take many precautions to see that the pack is not disturbed. Each pack member is considered family but respect is still presistant. They are always the first to eat from a kill, gets the biggest portions and choicest cuts of food. They tell the pack what to do, where to go, and how to work without questions from their members. Keeping things at a strict basis is their way of showing their care and concern for the pack-mates.They also choose their most trusted companions to become their Betas. They demand respect and are in the position to punish or banish those who do not show it. Their command can not be disobeyed without consequences.

The Beta

The Beta rank is the second highest ranking wolf in the pack just below the Alphas. The Beta wolf is essentially the second-in-command of the wolf pack and beyond this most significant point, this wolf again is only second to the Alpha themselves. When the Alpha's are absence (which for reason can be surveying areas, choosing new territory, editing sites, etc), it is the Beta's job to make sure the pack is organized and under control. Any problems that occur in the pack, the Betas report to the Alphas and allow them to take control. When the Alphas are away for an extended period of time, these wolves are the next in authority and demand the same respect and control from their packmates.

The Delta

This wolf is the third most dominant wolf within the pack just below the Beta and Alpha. This wolf is what is known as the third-in-command, this wolf deals with the internal affairs of the pack. They make sure no quarrels are breaking out and everything is in order. They report their findings directly to the Alpha. This wolf also supervises sparring matches and training sessions of the younger members . They assess and make sure all wolves designated to oversee this training is in the right state of mind and competent to do so. This wolf also has authority over those below them and can instruct them to do various tasks. They are to be respected unless you want to face punishment from them.

Middle Class Ranks

Sentinals

These four wolves are highly respected within the pack. They are the wolves who constantly guard the territory with seemingly no rest in between. They are highly disciplined and well received among their peers, they are the ones who patrol constantly and keep the pack safe at night. These wolves are fierce fighters and have been hand selected to this role since they were pups and underwent tremendous training for this role, it is not one easily replaceable or challenged for. These wolves are to be shown respect and honor because they have permission to punish anyone who dares to disrespect or distract them from their duties. Romance is also forbidden for these wolves as it can make their lives ones targets, so they may not have mates or pups.

The Apothecary and their Apprentice

This wolf is the medic of the pack. They have vast herbal knowledge and know how to treat illnesses. This wolf makes sure the pack stays and remains healthy, they are the first line of defense when disease breaks out within the pack and the make sure it is dealt with swiftly and is eradicated. These wolves also help with nursing mothers and pregnant females, they make sure pups are growing correctly and that the female is doing alright. This wolf is very busy so you can constantly see them gathering in season herbs and keeping stock and storage of said herbs. This wolf also trains a young pup that they deem is worthy of being the next apothecary, possibly they train even two so the pack will have more skilled medics. These wolves are forbidden to have mates and pups as it would be a distraction from their duties.

Head Warrior

This wolf is a skilled and talented fighter within the pack. This wolf is the one who trains other warriors and sometimes the hunter, after all hunters need strength and power to hunt as well. They make sure wolves are in shape and fit, they also would be the one to lead the warriors into battle as they also can double as the War General. This wolf is to be respected and not challenged as they have achieved this rank for a certain reason.

Resource Watcher

This wolf is charged with the tedious task of making sure all recourses for the pack is in working order. They make sure water sources are safe, food is edible, and dens are safe and in working order. They inspect dens for cracks and crevices , along with making sure no threats are visible. They clear dens of pests and such things, they also may advise in moving of territories and such things. They take count of the kill pile and stock piles for winters. This wolf also keeps track of the expecting females, pups , and how many are within the pack. They make sure no one is hoarding food and everyone gets something to eat. This wolf was also possibly a former Apothecary or Apprentice to one after all they know what diseased meat and how tainted water should look. They also may even work closely with the Apothecary on cases like those.

Normal Rankings

Warrior

The fighters of the pack. These are highly skilled and trained wolves. Usually bulkier and suited for battle, however some cases of nimble and vicious fighters are heard of.

Hunter

These wolves hunt for the pack. They are more so medium sized wolves, to give them the extra edge on speed and strength. However larger or smaller wolves are hunters as well as they are helpful with taking down larger prey.

Scout

These wolves range from smaller to medium sided wolves you will never see bulky wolves in this profession, after all these wolves need to be swift . These wolves are used to find herds to hunt or track down intruders. They are the trackers and sometimes even used as spies.

Lower Ranked

Sigmas

These are the juveniles between 1-2 years of age that have not been assigned a rank as of yet. They are placed here until they have completed their Trial and are chosen for a specific ranking. They aren't necessarily mistreated , but don't have much say within the pack. They are expected to help wherever they can whether it be hunting, scouting, or even tagging along with warriors. They are also training in sparring, hunting and tracking to see where they will be placed and to prepare them for the Trials.

The Novussan

Novussan is a shortening of the latin phrase "novus sanguis" which means "new blood". Self explanatory. The youth and life of the pack, must be taught in the ways and traditions of said Pack. Each one will be assigned a mentor once they are of age. They are expected to be well treated and trained, the actions of a pup can bring punishment upon the parents.

The Lowest Of the Low

Omegas

The lowest of the low. No one is to treat these wolves with kindness - they have done something to obtain this rank - whether it be offend a higher up or be a traitor. They are examples and warning for the Pack - this is what happens when you're not loyal. They may not speak unless spoken to - and they must advert eye contant when they speak to you. They are to sleep outside and not within the Densite. NO one is to show them kindness or mercy - they may not asssociate with any other wolf - other than the fellow Omegas. These wolves are the ones who watch the pups whenever the parents or mentor cannot, and they clean the dens.

Pack Laws
1: Obey your superiors and all mannerisms
2: Never question the Alphas
3: Do not wander off without permission or orders to do so
4: No hunting without permission. Hunts will be organized daily and possibly multiple times, so just be patient and not greedy. For that matter no hoarding food especially in winter.
4: Nouvassan are to be protected at all costs
5: You may not have pups without permission. You must seek approval from the Alphas, after all new pups = new mouths to feed.
6: Infidelity upon mates is a shameful thing
7: Be a productive member of the pack
8: Never shame your family
Pack Mannerisms
- Alpha's are to be referred to as "High Lord" and "High Lady" you may not speak their name so casually. And one must bow in their presence until they have told you to rise, and you are also to avert eye-contact until they say you may raise them. The children of the Alpha are to be referred to with "Your Grace" , "Your Majesty" and as " Young High Lady" or "Young High Lord" when pups and "High Lord or Lady" when they are Sigmas. Never walk directly in front of the Alphas, only the Beta has the privilege of walking directly beside them. The Delta may walk beside them but a little ways back out of respect.
- The Beta is to be referred to as the "Duke" or "Duchess" depending on gender. You must bow and avert eye contact in their presence. The family of the Beta are be referred to as Noble Lords and Ladies. The mate of the Beta is the "Duke" if he's male and "Duchess" if she's female. The children of the Betas are the Little Noble Lady or Lord and Gracious Noble Lady or Honorable Noble Lord when they are Sigmas
- The Delta is to be referred to as the "Viscount" or "Viscount" depending on gender. You must avert eye contact and bow. The family of the Delta are to be referred to as the Lords and Ladies. The mate of the Delta is called "Viscount" if male or "Viscountess" if female. The children are referred to as Little Lady or Lord when young and as a Sigma Lady or Lord.
- Sentinals are to be referred to as "Baron" or "Baroness" depending on gender. You must bow in there presence and avert eye contact. Immediate family have no special titles and since they are forbidden for children neither do their children. However on the rare case they have children, they are to be referred to as Little Lady or Lord.
- The Head Warrior is to be referred as "Count" or "Countess" depending on gender. You must give a sip of your head in their presence, no averting eye contact needed. Also calling them "General" or "Commander" will work, this is usually used by other Warriors. The mate of the Head Warrior is known as "Count" or "Countess" depending on gender. The children are to be referred as "Little Lady" or "Little Lord" when pups and "Venurable Lady" or "Honorable Lord" when Sigmas.
- Apothecary is to be referred to as the "Marquis" or "Marquess" depending on gender. Immediate family has no special title. However, the apprentices of this wolf is to be called "Second High Lady or Lord" or "High Apprentice" and must be bowed at along with the Apothecary. The apprentices are highly respected and if they achieve great things they will possibly be called "High Marquis or Marquess" when older
- Omegas are to eat last. They are to be seen - but never heard. They keep their head down, and eyes down in the presense of others, only speak when spoken to, and can never refuse Orders. They may not fight back whenever they're being punished by someone. Omegas may not have mates nor pups. They are the weakest link, and some are traitors or untrustworthy so we don't need more of these wolves sullying the pack.
- Omegas have a Warrior designated to watch over them to make sure they aren't breaking rules. Omegas have a curfew , they also may never leave camp unless they have been ordered to. And even then they must be back before the curfew.
- Depending on the offense of the Omega, they may have to change their name as to not disgrace their Ancestors. They must pray daily for forgiveness for being sinful. This is the only designated time they may talk freely without being punished.

Pack Tradition

The Trials

The Trials is a three stage event that occurs during spring. This is one of the major events of spring. This is where the Sigma's prove their training has been put to good use. This is the trail that deems them worthy of the pack . It's a rather cruel and gruesome trial but it's a way to weed out the week and unfit.

Hunting Competition
The first of the 4 rounds of the competition. All upcoming members are set out for a whole day to hunt among the woodland. Any wolf that brings back atleast 5 peices of prey, are moved to the next round. Another Pack member is sent with the wolf to make sure they don't cheat and bring back an already deceased carcass or steal one from their other competitors.

Speed Competition
The second of the 4 rounds. All upcoming members are sent to the far end of the woodland, where they are to race to the other end of the woodland. Two pack wolves, chosen by the alphas, chase the competing wolves, tackling any that begin to slow. Any wolf that makes it to the end without being tackled, advances to the next round.

Swimming Competition
The third round of the competitions. The lasting wolves are thrown into the rapids of White Rush, where they are forced to battle the currents, and swim to safety. Any wolf that fails this challenge will either perish or, on rare occasions, survive the waterfall drop and are disqualified.

The Battles
This is the final round. All upcoming members are brought to the arena, a clearing in the center of the woodland, free of trees and underbrush. All of the competitors are set against each other in a great battle, not killing each other, but wounding each other to be the last one standing. The first 3 wolves to be knocked down are disqualified, while all others are accepted into the pack.
Rituals
Welcoming Ritual
Every full moon their will be a gathering between all the members. They will meet beneath the Hearty Spruce. Loners or Rogues join if they past a certain test the leader gives. These wolves may not join at any other time, and no one can be unable to take the test. If they pass they will touch noses with everyone in the pack to establish their rank.

Death Ritual
Every time a wolf dies , they will hold a ritual called the "Midnight Ritual." All wolves stay up untill midnight, even pups, to watch the spirits rise, as Lovota pack spirits only rise at midnight.

Heaven Ritual
When a wolf does good (saving a pup from death, risking their life for a packmate, ETC) Lovota pack will hold the "Heaven ritual." Where the wolf is blessed by the Alpha. They touch noses, and wolves who are said to have this ritual go to heaven. This ritual can be reversed by two hell rituals. The wolf may be promoted.

Hell Ritual
When a wold does bad (Kill a pup, treachery, ETC) Lovota pack will hold the "Hell Ritual." Where the wolf is scarred by the Alpha. Wolves who are said to hold this ritual go to hell. This ritual can be reversed by two heaven rituals. The wolf may be demoted.

Marriage Ritual
When two wolves agree to be mates (Only male and female), Lovota pack holds a Marriage ritual. The two wolves will stand on the twined rocks, touch noses, and lick each others cheeks to justify their marriage. Only after this can they have pups. They cannot divorce and both wolves will no longer be able to have a diffrent mate.

Apprentice Ritual
This is one of the most common occurrences. When a pup (or more) is a year old, they will go through the apprentice ritual. A wolf from the hunter and a wolf from the fighter group will be picked to mentor the wolf. One will mentor them in hunting, and the other in fighting. This is chosen by the Alpha.

Senior Ritual
When a wolf hits 12 years old, they will go through the senor ritual. The wolf will no longer be able to hunt or fight, but they are treated with great respect (almost as much respect as the beta) for serving their pack long and well. They will be one of the most fed wolves in the pack

Feeding Ritual
This one occurs most often. Every day when the sun is setting, they gather around the food in a circle and tilt their head up to the sky silently. The Alpha gives a chant and blessed their food, then they all eat.

Full Moon Ritual
Every full moon the wolves with gather around in a circle and howl. This is the most commonly known ritual to every wolf, even loners know to howl to the moon. After that they travel to the hearty spruce for the Welcoming Ritual

Anitiation Ritual
When an apprentice pasts a test, they will be given the Anitiation Ritual. The mentors will step up and touch bases with them, along with the Alpha, and according to the test the Alpha will select them to be eather a hunter or fighter. If they are good at nothing and daily the test, they will become an Omega.

Rules
All of Eve's Rules apply obviously
1 : Be active . Please don't join up just to leave - I would like this RP to last for a while. I expect posts 1-2 a week , and if you need to take a break or be inactive please inform be beforehand via PM or Discussion. Inactivity will lead to your character being removed from the RP.
2 : No OP or Mary Sue, Weeping Willow's , Gary's or any characters of the like.
3 : This is a Semi-Literate to Literate RP. I expect at least 200+ words per post. Put the missing number somewhere in your form, hidden. Also, I required a detailed and well-written appearance and description for your character. This includes proper grammar rules and any form not following these requirements will be declined.
4: No OOC problems. Hate the character but not the player - any instances of unbecoming behavior will not be tolerated, and mods will be contacted if needed.
5: Reservations last for 48 hours and you may only reserve two roles at a time. The reservation doesn't start until you actually post and begin working on the forms. You will be allowed to have 2 - 12 hour extensions if needed to complete a form, otherwise the spot will be open for someone else.
7: I as the owner of the RP reserve the right to accept and decline forms as I see fit. I will not tolerate rude behavior towards me just because you got declined - if you do get decline , try and work on your form and maybe it'll get accepted due to the corrections. Put, thunderbird in other. I hope to RP with many new faces - so come on, I don't bite.
8 : I will make a 4 character limit , however as the RP progresses characters will die - so I suggest having 2 characters to start. You can also only reserve 2 characters at a time.
9: I will allow photos for your characters - make sure they are properly credited and follow all of the WP regulations or this rule will be redacted.
10: This RP is not a heavy romance RP and their may be some hints of it so I'll get this out the way - no romances between your own character [the exception is if the character has a deceased lover or one that'll die later on.] Also, you are allowed to have your characters be siblings, cousins, and etc.
11 : Don't be the character constantly disrespecting the superiors and higher ups - it can be fun but it's also annoying. After all why do you want your character to constantly get in trouble.
12 : Any questions are to be asked via PMs - I don't want this thread clogged up.
13 : I understand that backstories are fun and giving characters angst and tragedy makes them spicy, but come on - not every single character needs a sob story, but also please don't anyways make your characters have the best or perfect life. But also be creative with this.
14 : Make sure to read everything !
15 : Have fun ;)
