[IMAGE REMOVED: hotlinking] Guide to the Explore Terrains Hello! This guide is going to be all about each terrain once you unlock all of the enemies and prey available for it, with several samples for different amounts of predators. Simply put, I’ll note all of the income made in a specific level from what you can kill. This is very RNG based, so your results are not going to be the same, but this is hopefully going to be a decent way for you to decide what terrain to explore next! Content - Forest lv. 50+
- Swamp lv. 19+
- Jungle lv. 23+
- Desert lv. 19+
- Mountains lv. 21+
- Tundra lv. 11+
- Conclusion
- Final Note
Also, credits at the end... for all the dividers I use. Please check that before editing my posts again mods. Disclaimers! ⤷ I am going to use some rather limited sample sizes for Swamp, Desert and Mountains, due to me not exploring them a lot and having to get them to level 19 and being hardly above 21 accordingly. So, these are not going to be super accurate as to what your income might be once you get to higher levels. If, in the future, I will explore more in those terrains, I will add updated data according to the level. ⤷ The income you get from the levels stated prior (other than Forest lv. 50) is vastly different to the one you will get when you advance in levels. So, terrains like Desert and Tundra are a pain to navigate through early, but end up making you a lot of money. Please keep that in mind when exploring these terrains yourself. ⤷The best way to get a good profit from explore is by maxing out your wolves, or just certain attributes (Luck, Resolve, Agility, Battle, Stealth) if you're not interested in others. This way, you can even double the amount you make per level! So, please, just take these at face value, because they're only going to be the guaranteed mushrooms you make from these levels, not the luck-based RNG ones. | | Edited at June 10, 2022 01:53 AM by Vennenum

1. Forest lv. 50+ [IMAGE REMOVED: nonstock, no credits, hotlinking] First thing’s first, let’s see what income you are likely to get at level 50 forest. The replay I have received has 42 predators. First play-through of forest level 50: Predators: 42 Expenses: 20 Chinese pottery (400 mushrooms), 12 Health Potions (120 mushrooms) for a total of 36 Health Potions (adding to the ones I already had). If I run out of Health Potions, the expenses will be 360 mushrooms. Prey Encountered: -3 squirrels (0 fled): 1 mushroom each -11 deer (2 fled): 5 mushrooms each -8 ant eaters (0 fled): 2 mushrooms each -2 armadillos (0 fled): 2 mushrooms each -3 skunks (0 fled): 3 mushrooms each -1 chipmunk (0 fled): 3 mushrooms each Enemies Encountered: -10 mountain lions (4 fled): 15 mushrooms each -9 wolverines (0 fled): 7 mushrooms each -5 coyotes (0 fled): 10 mushrooms each -8 bobcats (1 fled): 13 mushrooms each -1 boar (0 fled): 6 mushrooms each -3 red foxes (1 fled): 5 mushrooms each -6 badgers (0 fled): 3 mushrooms each Total Income: 433 mushrooms Total Expenses: 400 mushrooms (Chinese Pottery) + 60 mushrooms (Health Potions)= 460 mushrooms Profit: -27 mushrooms On first glance, this was not worth it. However, my luck must’ve been bad. So, I will try again another day; just not now. This was concluded on Spring 1. [IMAGE REMOVED: nonstock, no credits, hotlinking] | First play-through of higher level Forest: Predators: 47 Expenses: 20 Chinese pottery (400 mushrooms) + 5 Health Potions (50 mushrooms) Prey Encountered: -2 raccoons (0 fled): 4 mushrooms each -6 deer (2 fled): 5 mushrooms each -7 hedgehogs (0 fled): 1 mushroom each -2 woodchucks (0 fled): 5 mushrooms each -7 rabbits (1 fled): 2 mushrooms each -7 pheasants (0 fled): 3 mushrooms each -3 chipmunks (0 fled): 3 mushrooms each -13 beavers (3 fled): 3 mushrooms each -8 armadillos (0 fled): 16 mush -5 turkeys (0 fled): 3 mushrooms each -2 ant eaters (0 fled): 4 mushrooms each Enemies Encountered: -6 red fox (0 fled): 5 mushrooms each -11 boars (0 fled): 6 mushrooms each -17 badgers (2 fled): 3 mushrooms each -4 coyotes (1 fled): 10 mushrooms each -9 mountain lions (1 fled): 15 mushrooms each Total Income: 447 mushrooms Total Expenses: 400 mushrooms + 50 mushrooms= 450 mushrooms Profit: -3 mushrooms This time around, the profit was almost 0. Mind you, this is only taking into account the battle earnings of each level, not including luck and events. Every terrain has its own quirks, so only take this face level if you're looking for a maximum profit. :) Credit for this data: Purpleowl31 (#276140) Go give them some love! ^^ [IMAGE REMOVED: nonstock, no credits, hotlinking] | Edited at December 1, 2021 12:50 AM by Vennenum

2. Swamp lv. 19+ Swamp level 30 Enemies 51 20 Chinese pottery - 400 15 health potions - 150 Predator 7 jaguars (3 fled) - 40 mush 3 caimans (2 fled) - 10 mush 8 snapping turtles (2 flee) - 18 mush 18 water moccasins (1 fled) - 85 mush 7 black panthers (4 fled) - 30 mush 4 rattlesnakes (0 fled) - 12 mush 10 sandhill cranes (3 fled) - 35 mush 2 copperheads (0 fled) - 6 mush 2 black bear (1 fled) - 25 mush Prey 4 otters (2 fled) - 10 mush 5 rice rats (0 fled) - 5 mush 7 rheas (2 fled) - 50 mush 8 tapirs (2 fled) - 18 mush 9 wood ducks (2 fled) - 14 mush 5 bullfrog (0 fled) - 5 mush 4 nutria (0 fled) - 12 mush 1 capybara (0 fled) - 2 mush Total Income: 377 mushrooms Total Expenses: 550 mushrooms Total Profit: -173 mushrooms As expected, Swamp has really horrible profits (excluding mythical creatures ex.: Rougarou, Eve, because those aren't guaranteed and are simply luck), but it can save you mushrooms on health potions (Blue Jay Feathers), or you can sell them for some of the mushrooms you spent back! | | Edited at December 4, 2021 10:48 AM by Camille

6. Tundra lv. 11+ Finally, it's time for Tundra. Let's replay level 11 3 times, then replay level 51 and after, my current level. First replay of level 11: Predators: 88 Expenses: 400 mushrooms (20 Chinese pottery), started with 30 Health Potions Prey Encountered: -2 arctic hares (0 fled): 2 mushrooms each -4 rock ptarmigan (0 fled): 1 mushroom each -10 reindeer (1 fled): 5 mushrooms each -5 snowshoe hares (0 fled): 2 mushrooms each -6 caribou (0 fled): 7 mushrooms each -1 moose (0 fled): 10 mushrooms each -2 ground squirrels (0 fled): 1 mushroom each Enemies Encountered: -12 ermine (0 fled): 2 mushrooms each -18 arctic foxes (0 fled): 5 mushrooms each -21 red foxes (0 fled): 5 mushrooms each -20 polar bears (7 fled): 25 mushrooms each -9 grizzly bears (7 fled): 25 mushrooms each -8 wolverines (0 fled): 7 mushrooms each +4 arctic foxes from failing to chase them off (+20 mushrooms) Total Income: 787 mushrooms Total Expenses: 400 mushrooms + 450 mushrooms= 850 mushrooms Profit: -93 mushrooms Overall, this is a good terrain for the FMC, but making profits when you’re low on mushrooms? Maybe not. It’s still my favorite terrain, but if you’re low level in Tundra, I’d reconsider. However, I do have to add that I had to use excessive Health Potions due to Drekis. This event isn't the greatest for trying this out, but the next 3 months are all going to have events also, so what's the point in waiting? | | Edited at November 15, 2021 02:05 PM by Camille

7. Conclusion Here, I will compare the results I got to each other. First, I will do it between the same terrain, then I will compare the terrains together. Basically, this will be a "Too Long; Didn't Read" for everyone. Part 1: Forest Level 50 vs Level 60 Level 50: 1st try: -27 mushrooms 2nd try: 3rd try: Level 60: 1st try: 2nd try: 3rd try: Edited at November 14, 2021 12:35 PM by Camille

Credits To make this easier to read, I will be incorporating dividers. Here are the credits for them: Feel free to help out with this! If you are a higher level than I am in any of the following: Forest (currently 51, aiming for 60), Swamp (currently 5, aiming for 30), Desert (currently 8, aiming for 30) or Mountains (currently 23, aiming for 35), and would like to help out, PM me the results of your replay of level 50 Forest, level 19 Swamp and Desert, and level 21 Mountains, or your results in the highest level you have on them(please state). I will add them to this guide and credit you! :) Contributors: Purpleowl31 (#276140) Go show these people some love! Without them, this guide would've been delayed a lot. :) [IMAGE REMOVED: hotlinking.] Edited at June 10, 2022 01:53 AM by Vennenum
