Female

Juvenile

Eh, anything that will help the pack prosper.
Opinions on the pairings:
She’s neither here nor there on the idea of pairings. She’s gone her whole life knowing she wouldn’t have a choice, so why should she care in the first place? Not like she had a say in what happened. However, she may change her stance if she happens to be paired with some insufferable brat or an utter stick-in-the-mud.
Appearance:
Enigma is not exactly an outstanding wolf in terms of appearances, with some of the more basic wolf structures and average measurements evident across her form. Her height, for example, is that of merely twenty-nine inches at the shoulder, with her adult height being estimated to be only an inch more. In other words, a perfectly average specimen for her species. Her form is considered to be well built – fit durable, relatively thick fur that even some experienced fighters might find difficult to deal with. It is hard to “break past,” acting both as a sort of shield for both attacks and colder weather. The fur is the thickest around her shoulders and hind legs. A good quantity of muscle mass coats her body despite her somewhat sedentary lifestyle. A large portion of her muscular structures are confined with her shoulders, hips, and legs, leading to a sturdy and stable form. Though, they are mainly observed in areas with lighter fur coverage like her legs, making them a partially hidden weapon. All this combined leads to a defensive sort of combat style where simply she tanks the hits before hitting back just as hard.
The juvenile’s colorations are a rather “dull” sight to behold, consisting of grays, blacks, and dirty whites plus the added flavor of a few tans and rustic browns. A standard mix of colors for a wolf and not something that is eye-catching on the surface. Or, in her mind, in general. White makes up for the majority of her hair follicles, painting itself in rather large quantities around her shoulders, underbelly, and legs. The legs and underbelly, as one would expect, have been stained brown tint. A smaller but still prevalent patch of white resides on the underside of her neck, curling up to brush against the fur of her face. This patch forms an almost semi diamond-like shade. Two other smaller portions of white are that of her lower tail and a stripe running just behind her shoulders. A tanish white also runs around her shoulders, creaming a sort of semi circle shape directly behind them – right before that stripe of white. This same color is shown quite heavily along her upper neck with some sprinklings of it worming its way into the fur of her sides. That on her neck runs into the fur along the top of her head, mixing with the main color of said area – a dark gray. This shade of gray is the second most common color seen on the young wolf, growing particularly dark around her face. It can mostly be seen along her face, lower back, upper tail, and neck with her face having the heaviest layering of it due to the “mask” it creates. A small amount can be found along the upper-back of her ears as well. Just behind her shoulders, a rounded stripe of this gray effectively cuts off the tanish white from the actual white. The white following the stripe brushes up against the gray of her lower back. Another stripe rings around her neck, separating the white of that area from most other colors. It too appears to have an outline of a semi-diamond. In some portions of this gray, black hair follicles have managed to condense in a few select areas. For the most part, this likes to follow the line her spine takes along her lower back before fading out slightly along her tail. It reforms not a moment later, though, to cover the very tip of her tail. However, the most notable area of black is that on her face. The sides of her snout as well as the entirety of her lower jaw is covered in it, much unlike the usual lighter colors that happen to coat that area on other wolves. This color avoids the top part of her muzzle until it reaches her nose where it seems to extend backwards from it. The only noteworthy amount of brown on her pelt forms around her upper snout – where it mixes with the gray of the area – and the lower portion of her ears. But there is still more brown to be found, just not on her pelt. Her eyes are a bright and rich brown, akin to the color of earth. They, as the saying goes, are the windows to her soul – the only way to tell what she is truly feeling. But this has been proven to be a rather difficult task seeing as she constantly keeps them only half way open, unless full vision is otherwise needed.
The “dull” pelted female doesn’t have many things decorating her coat, aside from the standard dirt-based stains. With a lack of scars from her young age, the majority of her hide is merely adorned in fallen leaves and pine needles. These are often picked up from her naps, sticking to her like a fly to fly paper. Ridding herself of these articles is a chore of itself with no amount of shaking being enough to shoo them away. Help is often needed to completely get rid of them, but she generally doesn’t bother asking and lets whatever is left remain there. Though, leaves and needles are not the only things adding details to her pelt. While she may have very few, she is not completely void of any amount of scarring. She has some here and there across her form, but not many noticeable ones. A bite mark on her right shoulder is essentially as rough or jarring as it gets. Same goes for the simple notch on the outside of her left ear. Nothing outstanding but still a hint towards difficult life can be for a young wolf.
Enigma’s voice is exactly like her outward demeanor – laid-back and borderline lazy. Words are constantly drawn out as though she were constantly half asleep at all hours of the day. However, one will never hear the words become muddled together. Her speech pattern is slow and deliberate with well chosen words and puns. A lot of thought goes into the things she says as she says them in order to ensure that they are as close to “perfect” as possible as well as coherent. Her tone is one that is naturally cheerful sounding, but not the “peppy” kind of cheerful. The “friendly” kind of cheerful tone is what she leans into, something that pairs well with her slow and methodical way of talking. An approachable voice if you will. The added touch of constantly sounding drained or tired adds a good amount to this feel. The pitch of her voice is considered to be a “medium” one – leaning tenor but being still too alto to truly be considered as anything lower. A smidge of scratchiness can be picked with her voice which only grows more noticeable the more tired she is.

“I’m not exactly one to look on the brightside. I much prefer taking things in stride and deal with the outcome when it comes my way. Saves me the heartache after all.”
Enigma is a laid-back individual, not readily bothered by the minor annoyances and major roadblocks in life. Her demeanor is one of near constant relaxation, often fit with a lop-sided grin and lidded eyes – as though she had just woken up no matter the amount of time spent awake. An aura of stillness seems to all but permeate from her wherever she may roam, calming even some of the most rampant minds. Her outlook on life is neither optimistic, pessimistic, or even realistic. Although she may always present the more uplifting of outcomes, she rarely if ever believes her own words. To her, they are merely a means to pick up the spirit of another – not something that should be taken to heart. She simply takes life in stride with no set goal in mind, drifting in an endless sea of choices and happenstances too vast to accurately predict. She’d much rather address the problem when it arises than assume and prepare for something that will never occur. When such problems do come around, the she-wolf has shown to have a knack for keeping a level head about it all, remaining sensible during even some of the most unnerving times and dealing with it rationally. She does not fret and she does not overreact (if you can even count keeping the same expression and overall demeanor as a reaction). Instead, she remains her usual self all while working through what the next step to take should be.
This choice of taking life one step at a time has led many to believe the young female to be lazy which is admittedly not far from the truth. While she certainly values work and the effort put into it, she does heavily enjoy simply lounging around camp and doing nothing… perhaps a little too much. It is a peaceful activity in her mind, one that leads to a good amount of nap time and the sorting of thoughts or emotions. These actions typically take place in or around the current camp or den of the pack due to her more reclusive nature. A “homebody,” if you will, but a useful one at that. If need be, she will absolutely leave behind any nap that may have been looming on the horizon to help those who stayed behind – whether the task be babysitting the pups (a favorite of hers) or guarding the entrance. But, if something were to arise outside the camp and she were to be called to duty, she would push aside her desire to slack off or remain at “homebase” and help out.
For as “lazy” as this wolf presents herself as, she is incredibly observant – picking up on some of the most minute details that many others would have likely brushed off or skimmed over. This is most often done while “napping” or “staring off into space,” where those around her do not expect to be attentive to their actions or hear the whispers they string amongst themselves. It doesn’t take her long to notice things as well, having taken to memorizing patterns and general mannerisms of others. If something changes, she knows that something is up or wrong. She is pretty calculated when it comes to this knowledge and action as well, knowing precisely how and when to use any information she has gathered if the time arises for its unveiling. Naturally, no planning goes into this. She does it on a whim after assessing the general atmosphere and circumstances. It is rare for her to blatantly blurt out the knowledge she possesses, typically beating around the bush and pressuring the “offender” to confess so she doesn’t have to outright say it herself. Or to make her accusation and explanation all the more believable.
This juvenile’s manner of speaking is as mellow as her actions, filled to the brim with puns of all kinds and soft sarcastic remarks. Her words are almost never murmured with a cutting edge, aimed to uplift rather than cut down. There is no one particular time when such jokes are used, with the vast majority being said at any time of day in any sort of situation. Though, her puns have been known to ramp up during stressful or depressing situations. Sarcasm, however, is strictly reserved for close friends and is more infrequent than her puns. It may as well be her way of showing affection. But, despite her taste in quibbles and sarcasm, she has remained impeccably eloquent. With fluent words and well presented ideas or suggestions, she easily persuades others doing what she has in mind – if they are willing to listen.
Raw emotions are a thing seldom seen within this young gray-pelted wolf, hidden behind her usual grin and half closed eyes. An actor is what she is, falsifying every word and action exhibited when riled up. She, to others, remains unusually calm during the moments where she shouldn’t be, even before someone so level headed – continuing with her usual laid-back disposition that so many have come to expect. Push her around all you want, she isn’t going to budge from this reaction. Instead, she spins non-stop puns that are bound to get under one’s skin, naturally upbeat tone or no. She has also been observed faking certain actions like her aforementioned naps. Few can tell when she is and is not during what she appears to be, having not learned the signs that give her away – which there are very few of in the first place. This has led to her becoming difficult to read or interpret, leaving others unknowing to her true feelings on the matter and left to merely guess. Even those closest to her have a hard time grasping her underlying emotions or present focus. The only tell tale signs known are her expressive eyes, and the passive aggressive tone and remarks she utilizes from time to time. It takes a lot to get her to this point, but most know better than to get her to that point. It can be quite the frightening sight compared to her near constant cheerful expression.
For the most part, this enigmatic canine is considered to be an obedient member of the pack. She has no trouble at all listening to and carrying out orders and instructions tossed her way, setting aside any personal task or enjoyment to work through them the moment they are given to her. It could be something as simple as “come here” or something as convoluted as a certain, never-seen-before task. To her, it doesn’t matter what it is but rather that she gets it done. However, if any such order or general assignment were to clash against her morals, expect it to never come to fruition. She is a virtuous wolf, after all, holding herself to her own morals rather than any hierarchy that could be looming over her. No amount of threats or repercussions can cause her to go against them. Not even the prospect of being exiled, left to fend for herself, can shake her decision. If something goes against her morals, it will not have a place in her past.

- For as laid back and chill as she can be, Enigma most certainly has a mean streak. However, it is barely distinguishable from her usual self lest one looks her in the eyes. She won’t exactly do much during these times either, besides try and get under one’s skin one way or another.
