Character sheet 1:
Name:
Riven King
Age:
23
Gender:
Male
Magic type:
Lightning
Skill(s):
Riven is an adept dragon rider and fighter, but he's much better at defence than offense. Although trained in fighting, it is not his favorite. Riven is much more skilled with woodworking and crafting. He's extremely handy and can fix just about anything. If it's a craft, he's probably dabbled in it. Blacksmith, wood whittling and carving, cooking (he's actually a really good cook, surprisingly.) He's handy with an axe or a pickaxe, strong arms and shoulders aid him in collecting the materials he needs. Riven is also, decent, with his magic. Not the best but he can conjure a few flashy things.
Appearance:
Riven is rather striking, standing tall, close to 5'11. He has a rather athletic build, due to his various work he did as an apprentice carpenter in his home village. He's composed and collected, with a very straight posture and often expressionless face. With a carved jawline, high cheebones, plump lips, peircing eyes, and straight eyebrows, he looks almost like every generic male depicted on a fantasy romance novel. He has dusty brown hair that often just does whatever it wants, and bright, almost white-blue eyes. Probably a characteristic from his lightning magic.
Riven usually prefers darker colors for his attire, often sticking to a combination of deep blues and blacks that best compliment his complexion. He also always wear a necklace of a wolf tooth that was gifted to him as a child, but he doesn't talk much about it. He does have one scar that rakes down his back, resembling a large claw mark.
Personality:
Riven can be seen as a stereotypical "bad boy" in a way. Although not that cliche. He is a smooth talker, often being able to woo anyone he sets his eyes on. He can be very much deemed as a playboy. Not taking things too seriously and really only worried about having fun. He is rather private about his personal life though. He might know just about everyone, but he does not consider everyone a friend. Anyone he actually thinks is a friend has gained a protective and loyal ally. Riven is headstrong, determined, and willing to do anything for what he thinks is right. He's also got a rather natural charm and charisma that come in handy when needing to get anywhere with a person.
Dragon Sheet:
Name:
Aetherion
Age:
4 years
Size:
Aetherion is large dragon, measuring around 15 feet from talon to head, and around 50 feet long, most of that is tail length though. He has a massive wingspan, but the wings themself are not huge. Just a long span. He is bulkier than most lightning dragons variations, mirroring his rider's strength in a sense. But still slender looking.
Gender:
Male
Dragon Type:
Lightning
Appearance:
Aetherion's scales shimmer like polished silver, with iridescent hues of electric blue and deep purple flickering across his body, reflecting the ever-changing nature of a thunderstorm. His eyes are a striking, glowing yellow, reminiscent of a lightning strike, piercing through the darkness with an intense, unyielding gaze.
His wings are vast and powerful, each membrane infused with streaks of bright blue, giving the impression of lightning bolts coursing through them.
Aetherion's crest is adorned with sharp, metallic spikes that run down his neck and along his spine, each one gleaming like forged steel. These spikes occasionally discharge small arcs of electricity, especially when he is agitated or excited.
His claws are as dark as storm clouds, tipped with gleaming silver talons capable of slicing through the toughest armor. His tail is long and whip-like.
Despite his fearsome looks, Aetherion moves with a fluid grace, his movements reminiscent of the swift and unpredictable nature of lightning.
Personality:
Aetherion and Riven are a perfect match. Both being very calm and collected in their composure, and Aetherion gets along with most dragons. Mirroring his rider's "people skills" in a way. Aetherion is a rather lazy dragon though. Preferring to lounge around near his rider until something catches his attention, but he usually does not pay attention to much.
He loves his rider though, even if he doesn't make a huge spectacle about being protective of him, he's more protective of a meal that Riven would make him. He's a proud dragon, and could be seen as arrogant, but he follows his rider like a begrudging puppy. Not happy to not be sleeping, but at least he's promised food.
Other:
Aetherion, like most lightning dragons, has an advantage in storms. He can fly with ease in a storm, and his powers, and Riven's, are even more excitable during a storm.
Aetherion des not produce a flame, more of a white, almost electrical style blast. Able to produce short zaps instead of a continuous flame. It's powerful and can cause damage, but it just chars on impact rather than a big flaming spectacle.

Character sheet 1:
Name:
Valentina 'Val' Woods
Age:
21
Gender:
female
Magic type:
fire
Skill(s):
Val is agile and fast, good at strategy but not so much in strength if she went up against someone. She loves being a dragon rider and learning how to control her magic but also loves painting in her spare time and is actually quite good at it. She worked with her mother as a seamstress and has very nimble fingers, which helped her learn how to pick locks later on, something her father taught her.
Appearance:
Val is quite pretty with straight auburn hair, that sometimes looks red in the sunlight and tumbles down to her mid-back, freckles across her lightly tanned face, rosy cheeks, light hazel eyes and the 'perfect' smile. She's average height at around 5'5 with a rather small build yet she is strong. Her eyes seem to watch everything, almost as if reading your thoughts when she is talking to you. She can keep her face absolutely normal when lying to somebody but can and will definitely express her emotions, usually with the way she looks at you. One stare from her is enough.
Val usually wears green or blue clothes. Everywhere she goes, Val wears a silver charm bracelet from her grandmother.
Personality:
Val is fierce and headstrong despite her princess looks. She hates it when some prince in shining armour tries to come and save her but sometimes she can be too stubborn, refusing help and getting into a bad situation. Val isn't afraid to say what's on her mind which can make her seem rude at first but she isn't stupid - she won't start a fight for no reason. Her fiery personality is partly from her magic. If she warms up to you, Val is a trustworthy friend. She can be funny and caring if you get past her outer shell.
Other:
~
Dragon:
Name:
Pheonix
Age:
3 years
Gender:
Female
Dragon type:
Fire
Size:
Phoenix is close to 12 feet from tail to nose and still has a bit of growing left to do. Fire dragons are generally quite big and bulky and Phoenix is no exception. She stands at about 8 feet tall at her shoulder.
Appearance:
Phoenix's scales are deep red with varying shades of gold, burnt ornage and yellow, as if her scales are trying to resemble a fire, sometimes making her look like she's ablaze, though, when she stands in direct sunlight. Her large wings stretch to around 5 metres out. Phoenix's eyes are a strikingly bright green, contrasting with her red scales, and they seem to glow, pulsing with uncontrolled power of her fire. Phoenix has a golden mane of sorts made of feathery-fur. Her long tail curls around her like a snake. Small puffs of smoke occasionally blow up from her nostrils when she's impatient, angry or annoyed.
Despite her massive body, Phoenix is a great flier and can practice complex manoeuvres in the air. She is also good at fighting as she is already very strong.
Personality:
Phoenix is curious about everything. From her lovable and charming personality to her sense of humour, fierceness and loyalty, she is an amazing partner. For Val at least. Their bright and bold personalities match though they do occasionally clash.
She does not deal well with intruders or rude people, being very impulsive, and can do stupid things sometimes. Phoenix is a quick and eager learner but also impatient and hates anything she thinks is boring. Which is most things.

Name:
Seraph Velkyn
Age:
21
Gender:
Female
Magic type:
Poison
Skill(s):
Seraph is very skilled with small blades, particularly daggers and throwing knives. She has been practicing since she was young and can hit her target with a flick of her fingers. Seraph was taken in by a retired sellsword. Or, assassin, rather. Although they had to keep their life a secret since they were employed by the previous king who used them to take out unwanted opposition. During her time as his apprentice she learned about different types of herbs and plants, potions, and of course, poisons. Seraph has a natural sneakiness to her, which often aids in her conquest to find trouble. She's a fantastic escape artist, able to slip through the hardest to get out of places. She's not physically the strongest fighter, but her speed and agility aid her in a fight.
Appearance:
Seraph can be described as pretty. She's on the smaller side, standing at merely 5'2. She's curvy in the hips, but still slender and small, good for slipping out of places. She has a rather plain complexion, not pale and not tan. With a faint array of freckles across the bridge of her nose and top parts of her cheeks. Her face has a soft shape, with not a sharp jawline and high cheekbones give it a very soft feminine look. Her lips are full, with a bottom-type pouty look. Her nose has a unique shape, appearing slightly upturned from the front, but with a rather prominent bridge, giving it a rather German-esque type nose. Her eyes are round, but slightly downturned.
Her hair is ash blonde in color, and cropped about midway between her chin and shoulders. It is usually just kept in a wavy heap that frames her face in fun curls. Her eyes are a jade green color, perfectly complimenting her complexion.
Seraph usually tends to be drawn towards red colors for her attire. Bright red, almost like aposematic coloring. Although she does have a black cloak she wears when she is being sneaky.
Personality:
Seraph has a nose for trouble and often finds it. It's a wonder how she manages to do so well regarding her performance for classes because she never seems to take anything seriously and always up for some fun. She loves exploring and often has a tendency to just disappear without letting anyone know. Her ability to sneak around only helps her with that.
She does lack people skills. Often finding it hard to relate with other people and she never quite figured out how to appropiately interact with people due to her isolation for so long. Most other riders at the academy would describe her as "That weird girl that always smells of plants." As she could normally be seen tending to and taking care of various plants in the area. She has an element of "wildness and unpredictable" nature that most think is best to stay away from.
Despite her unique nature, Seraph is still loyal to a fault. It can be hard to figure out her intentions because half the time, she doesn't even know what they are. She's a good ally to have on your side, especially if you need someone who can sneak and get information for you.
Dragon Sheet:
Name:
Whiplash
Age:
3 years
Size:
Whiplash is a slender dragon, rather snake-like in her body build. She is shorter, closer to 10 feet from talon to head, but a long and slender body. Reaching close to 40 feet in length. Her wings are not massive, still look fitting on her body, but a smaller wingspan than most. She's not suited for long distances, but rather quick speeds and tight turns like in a canopy.
Gender:
Female
Dragon Type:
Venom
Appearance:
Her scales are a vivid, aposematic red, warning all who see her of the lethal venom she possesses. This vibrant coloring, with subtle patterns of deeper crimson and hints of black, helps her stand out as a creature not to be trifled with.
Her head is narrow and sleek, with a pair of large, mesmerizing purple eyes that glow with an intelligent, almost mischievous light. These eyes can see clearly in the darkest of conditions, allowing her to navigate and hunt with precision.
Whiplash’s mouth is filled with sharp teeth, but it is her long, retractable fangs that command the most attention. These fangs, reminiscent of a snake's, can inject venom or spit it with deadly accuracy, hitting targets from a distance with a potent toxin.
Her body is covered in smooth, interlocking scales that shimmer like polished armor, each one a testament to her agility and strength. Whiplash's movements are fluid and sinuous, enabling her to coil and strike with breathtaking speed. Her long, whip-like tail is both a weapon and a tool, capable of delivering powerful blows or aiding in her balance and maneuverability.
Whiplash's wings are large yet elegant, with membranes that are almost translucent, tinted with shades of red that match her scales. When unfurled, they allow her to glide silently through the air, and when folded, they lie close against her body, minimizing her silhouette and enhancing her stealth.
Personality:
Despite her and her rider's deadly nature, they both share a love of play. Which is rather uncharacteristic for Venom-type dragons, who prefer sticking to the shadows. Whiplash loves to be just as mischevious as her rider, often aiding her in her trouble finding excursions. Her playful personality makes her appear like a less formidable dragon, especially in comparison to fire-types and lighning-types, which are normally famed for their battle-worthiness. But she is still a loyal dragon to her rider, willing to risk tooth and nail for her. Mirroring Seraph's own wild and unpredictable nature.
Other:
Whiplash cannot produce a flame, due to the tendency of venom-type dragons to hang out in dense vegetation, but her venom is a hazard to most living things. Acting like an acid when it makes contact with organic matter.

Name:
Thorn Hallow
Age:
23
Gender:
male
Magic type:
dark/shadow
Skill(s):
Thorn is pretty handy with tools and likes to create things out of wood but now makes things out of shadows. His parents were herbalists but Thorn was never interested in thst kind of thing.
Appearance:
Thorn is tall, standing at 6'1. He's lean but muscular with a sort of wiry strength. His dark brown, almost black, curly hair is always tousled which gives him a slightly rugged look. His deep green eyes are flecked with gold and gleam with an intensity that makes it seem as if he's reading you, learning your true intentions. Piercing and observant, it can sometimes give him an intimidating look. He has sharp, defined cheekbones and a strong jawline. His skin is mostly unblemished except for a few faint scars from past adventures. His complexion is just lighter than an olive tone. Thorn prefers darker clothes. He carries an obsidian stone pendant around with him in one of his pockets, a family heirloom that is supposed to provide good luck, and various tools like blades and pick locks.
Personality:
Thorn is a very quiet and mysterious person, keeping his life to himself. He will know who everyone one is but prefers to observe them rather than interact with his fellow classmates. This can make him seem intimidating. Thorn is actually quite the daydreamer and can slip into a whole other world during a particularly boring lesson. He's surprisingly a goofball beneath his hardened shell and fiercely protective if you can earn his trust and loyalty. He's very cut off from other people because of past experiences. Thorn is very resourceful and smart, able to find a solution or think of an idea in difficult situations but is absolutely terrible in social situations. He finds it hard to talk to others and relate to them. Sometimes he prefers it that way because people don't have a reason to stick around and talk. Sometimes he just feels very left out and lonely

Dragon:
Name:
Obsidian
Age:
4 years
Size:
Obsidian is large with a wingspan of 50 feet, and is almost 40 feet long from tail to head. He stands at around 20 feet tall at his shoulder. With a long, sleek body, he is built for speed, agility and power.
Gender:
male
Dragon type:
Dark/shadow
Appearance:
His scales are a polished jet black and reflect little light, giving him an almost void-like appearance. He almost seems to absorb the light in from around him and blend into the dark, shadowy backgrounds. His ember eyes glow with a flaming red-orange hue that contrasts with his dark body. His massive leathery wings look slightly translucent when stretched out. The membrane is smoky grey with black lines. They make no sound when flying. His talons are long and dangerous, able to cut into almost anything. Along his back are spines and ridges.
Personality:
Obsidian matches his rider perfectly, being just as mysterious and protective as Thorn yet sometimes unpredictable. He's intelligent and just as loyal, willing to do anything for Thorn. Obsidian is very sneaky which usually lands him into trouble when he is actually a very sensible dragon. He's one of those 'older brother' sorts and looks after some of the younger, more mischievous dragons but Obsidian does have a childish side to him that he only shows to Thorn.
Other:
He breathes out a dark great mist which makes the enemy see illusions. His other powers are shadow manipulation and creating small shadow creatures although not for long as he is still learning how to control his power

START OF RP:
The morning light was bright and welcoming. The sun barely beginning to peek up over the horizon. A slight fog hanging in the air, a reminsce of wintery morning, not quite ready to release its hold on spring yet. A motion stirred in the large forest on the island. Part of the island had been cleared to make room for the academy, but the rest was left mostly untamed. Dense vegetation, unknown plants and flowers and wildlife made it a rather uninviting place. To most at least.
"Watch it Whiplash!" a female's voice was whipped away by the wind as she ducked her head to avoid being decapitated. The bright red dragon only snorting a laugh in response. The pair were weaving and dipping in between the trunks, under and over branches, and rolling through leafy openings. The rider stood up in the stirrups, muscles tightening with tension.
"Okay...Whiplash, just like we practiced." The rider hummed, barely audible but her dragon heard her. In one swift motion, the rider was launching herself in a flying leap from the back of the serptentine dragon. Whiplash ducking through a hollowed log that was empty on both ends. Her narrow wingspan tucking in close for a tight slip.
As soon as they departed, the duo reunited on the other side, just outside of the forest with the academy being basked in the sunrise. Rider and dragon let out a triumphant roar with the success of their manouver, although Seraph did land a little lopsided and had to scramble back in the saddle, but who cares, it's not like anybody saw.
Seraph offered her dragon a pat on the neck, using her legs to apply slight pressure to the saddle, Whiplash surged forward. Jolting Seraph out of her seat oncemore and the ash blonde was tossed into the dragon's neck. Seraph scrambling to grab a hold of something as the red dragon gargled a laugh and bolted off towards the academy. Classes would be starting soon.
------------------------------------------------------------
"Aetherion... Really dude? C'mon." The male rider stood in front of the large icy iridescent dragon. A rather annoyed look on his face.
"We don't have time for this. Class is starting soon." He attempted another shove on the lightning dragon's haunches. Aetherion only swatted him away with his tail and grumbled a snort to show his displeasure.
Riven huffed as he pushed the dragon's tail away. They hadn't even made it out of the stables yet and of course their first class today was aerial manuevers with Professor Stormchaser.
Before he could even do anything else, he was practically knocked off his feet by a gust of wind as one of the dragon riders came barreling in, the rider releasing a breathless laugh as she was slung from the dragon's back as it halted to a stop and ducked his head.
Seraph tumbled into a roll and jumped to her feet. "HA! Not on your best day!" she stuck her tongue out at the dragon, only to be landing on her butt the next moment when the snake-like dragon slung her tail under Seraph's feet. The vivid red dragon shaking out her scales and beginning to preen her wings like she was totally innocent. Seraph scrambling back to her feet as she glared at the dragon before bounding off out of the stables and towards the giant academy. Whiplash close behind in pursuit of her rider.
Riven looked back at Aetherion. "See? Even the poison duo is up." he huffed before just stomping off to head out of the stable. A loud thud signified the dragon finally rolled himself off his small rock ledge he was on. Pushing himself to his feet and padding after his rider. Tail slithering on the ground as the sleepy dragon attempted to wake up. Even his wings weren't folded in properly and also dragged the ground in a rather pitiful fashion.
Riven threw a small glance back at the lightning dragon, only to roll his eyes once he saw the sight. "You look pitiful." he shook his head, Hoping everyone else had already went to class, or were going to a different class so they wouldn't have to see Aetherion acting like a spoiled puppy. His brain flashed to the pretty redhead he'd been trying to talk to for the last few weeks, Valentina. Everytime he did try to talk to her, either Professor Stormweaver or Stormchaser was there to interrupt him, or they were busy and having to head off towards their own training regiment. Please for the love of everything, do not let her see Aetherion look like this. Lightning dragons are supposed to be quick and powerful. Aetherion was more like an arrogant male lion. Happy to lay around and act like he was a king. Fitting that's his rider's last name.
As Riven walked across the ground, the rider and the red dragon had just reached the door to allow themselves inside. A flash of something caught his eye. Turning his head to see the groundskeeper, Cedric Mossroot, and the librarian, Elysia Scrollkeeper apparantly arguing? Scrollkeeper was holding a tiny metal object, that's what kept flashing, and Mossroot looked like he'd seen a ghost as he frantically shook his head.
Odd.... Riven pondered to himself as he let him and Aetherion in the door. Let's get these classes over so he might have some free time!

The gentle breeze swept past Val's face, refreshingly cool. She was just outside the dragon stables. Hopefully Phoenix wouldn't be in a mood like she usually was after being left at the academy during the summer holidays. As she neared the massive stables, she noticed on of her classmates walking out with their dragon. Lightning dragons were amazing creatures but this one looked half asleep. She glanced over at his rider, what was his name again? Rider - River - no it's...Riven!
She gave him a small wave and went into the stables. She spotted Phoenix, bright red, peeking over the door. "Hey Phoenix." The fire dragon eyed Val for a moment, tilting her head. Val held her breath, hopeful. Then Phoenix snorted a puff of smoke and turned her back to her rider. Val sighed. "Come on Phoenix. Please, let's just go. I can't be late."
Phoenix looked over her shoulder and shook her head very slightly. No. You left me. Again.
"You know I can't take you home. There's not enough space for a dragon like you. Besides, you're...uh-" what could she say to make the situation better? "You're too amazing for them! You might make all the weak humans blind." Val turned pink, looking around to see if anyone was watching this embarrassing moment. Phew, no one was around. She faced Phoenix again.
Hmmm...Okay. It's true, humans are very weak and I am amazing. Let us go now. You're making us late.
Phoenix promptly got to her feet and shook her head, ruffling her golden mane of feathers. The fire dragon walked out of her stall and headed to the exit. Val smiled as she ran over to catch up. Luckily Phoenix's ego was as big as ever.

Thorn patted the giant jet black dragon on the snout. "Let's head back to the academy. Lessons should be starting soon and just our luck we have Professor Stormchaser." Obsidian blinked slowly in understanding. Thorn smiled at how well his dragon understood him, glad that he got Obsidian as his partner. He took a few steps and looked back to see that Obsidian wasn't following him. Instead he was staring across the field. Thorn squinted to see what he was seeing. Two figures stood in the distance and it seemed like they were - fighting?
No. Arguing. Very suspicious. A low growl rose from Obsidian's jaws. Thorn put his hand on his dragon's side. "It is pretty suspicious. Maybe we can find something after class during break. But if we don't get to our lesson on time we won't have a break."
Obsidian's growl faded into the empty surroundings as he turned back to the academy.
Yes, let's go.

Right before Riven slipped into the door, he caught the hazel eyes of Valentina. Icy blue locked with light hazel, Riven's cheeks flushed hot and tried to shove himself and his dragon inside the door as quickly as he could. Mentally cursing the dragon the entire time which only resulted in Aetherion growling a few curses back at him.
Once they were safely in the hallway Riven exhaled, running a hand through his hair. How'd he get in a mess like this? Riven was the type to flirt with whoever entertained him then go on about his business. He hadn't even realized he'd starting have a small crush on Valentina until he realized that he kept trying to find excuses to talk to her. They'd had a few classes together, but only since last term. He'd been at the academy for four years, and her only three, and riders' didn't start taking more advanced classes until after their second year, but the few classes he did have with her, he always admired her and her dragon's bond. They were a formiddable pair and very admirable. With a scoff he shook his head. What the h*ll was he doing?
Aetherion snorted a fishy breath behind Riven's head, trying to pull his rider from his thoughts. Riven offered an affectionate hand on the pale dragon's snout before they turned through another opened archway. A large opening to the grounds was revealed. Master Stormchaser taught advanced flying, after Master Windrider's introductory courses for two years, they upgraded to Master Stormchaser's class. Riven also had to take Master Stormweaver's class since Aetherion was a lightning dragon.
A few of the other students were here already, including the bright red venemous dragon and her blonde rider from earlier. Sarah? Or something...whatever her name was.
Seraph... Aetherion's voice rumbled in Riven's head. The dragon finally seemed to be waking up a little bit. Riven scowled at the dragon for a moment before finding a comfortable spot on the grassy lawn for class to start. Odd that Master Stormchaser wasn't here yet. He was always impatiently waiting on his class.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Seraph and Whiplash sat away from everybody else. Well, more everybody sat away from them. A trained poison expert and a dragon that spits venom was a little discerning to some people apparantly. Many deemed her untrustworthy since she was trained by an ex personal hitman for the king. The previous king wasn't exactly a good king, the land had been ripped apart from war for many, many years until the king was finally overthrown and peace was allowed to come to the land. The King tried to bring the end of the dragon riders, many other riders dying out in the Great War but once the king was overthrown, it was revealed he stashed decades worth of dragon eggs in his kingdom that he'd been stealing as he found them hidden accross the land. Thanks to that, the academy was able to be started up and dragon riders were taught to bring peace like they originally were supposed to. War was only a last resort, but a war with dragons, only resulted in the death of dragons.
Seraph didn't pay them much mind though. She was used to odd looks and whisperings of her. Whiplash hissed at a student that was staring at her one time so that only seemed to fuel their whisper factory.
The pair sat in the grass, Seraph sitting criss cross and her serpentine dragon coiled around her. Like a mother python sitting on a clutch of eggs. The two were affectionately poking and prodding the other. Whiplash pushing against her with her nose and Seraph pushing her back. It's a good thing this pair wasn't too worried about making friends, they kept each other plenty occupied.
---------------------------------------------
As the class began to idle in, finally, Master Stormchaser hustled in. Hoping his student's wouldn't have noticed his tardiness. He was always very punctual. Usually already waiting for his students by his podium and organizing his syllabus for the day. The professor was about middle aged, but still an attractive man and would definitely have been a looker back in his prime. He had many-a-stories to tell about his adventures as well. "Good morning class! I hope everyone has been practicing because today I want us to finally piece together all the manuevers we've been working on!"
He reached the front of his podium, but his normal dark complexion seemed pale, like he'd also seen a ghost. Cedric Mossroot wore the same grim expression. What happened this morning that had the staff so shaken up?

Val was disappointed her first lesson was with Professor Dragonsoul. She wasn't necessarily a bad teacher but sometimes Val couldn't understand what she was saying when she started talking about "internal harmony" and who knows what. Besides, Val would much rather have the rush of wind in her hair and adrenaline racing through her veins as Phoenix flew in and out of the clouds. Val finally got to Field 3, one of the many fields used for outdoor lessons. She settled down onto the grass which was, thankfully, not wet. Phoenix settled beside her, curling her tail around her rider. A bored look on her face. This is useless. We are already such good friends, we don't need to come here. An excited look crossed Phoenix's face. I know! Let's go to Stormy's lesson!
Val stifled a giggle. She could never hold back a laugh when her lovable fire dragon gave nicknames to all the teachers. "Phoenix, we can't go to Professor Stormchaser's lesson."
Stormy will always welcome me into his class. But okay, I suppose I can stay here if you do.
Pheonix rested her head on her talons. A few minutes passed and Professor Dragonsoul still hadn't turned up. Sure, she was late sometimes but they were now 15 minutes into the lesson. It was even more surprising when she finally arrived, all flustered and announced that today's lesson would be used to just...talk? "Bonding will fellow classmates is just as important as bonding with your dragons." She clapped her hands together, forced a smile and then started pacing when everyone was occupied. Val chatted with a few people but she couldn't deny that the professor was acting pretty suspicious, especially when she dismissed the class 5 minutes early. Val frowned, wanting to find out more. Phoenix kept nudging her and with a sigh, Val followed her dragon away from the lesson.
--------------------------------------------------
Thorn was confused when Professor Stormchaser wasn't waiting for them as usual. He was probably the most punctual teacher he knew. Thorn looked up at Obsidian. "Anything strange?" he muttered.
Professor was late. Perhaps something happened? Obsidian looked down at him with his burning amber eyes.
Thorn rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I had that part figured out. It's more like, what happened?"
Obsidian suggested something to Thorn, which made him laugh. Team up with someone? Everyone preferred to stay away from him, maybe because dark magic was considered unlucky to some, maybe he was just a very unlikeable person. At least he could relate in some way to Seraph. Not that she minded.
And even if he did team up with someone to investigate, who would be smart enough or even willing to talk to him? Seraph was pretty smart but too irresponsible. Riven was... honestly Thorn wasn't sure. He didn't know much about him even though they had being going to at least half of the same lessons for some time. In the end, after lots of debating with Obsidian, Thorn decided to do it on his own. With his dragon obviously.
