In her moments of silence, Isadora had convinced herself that she couldn't be feeling anything. After all, he was still the same Xevon, right? The one with the ego as grand as the castle they lived in? The one who'd given her hell all those years... For some reason it was hard to force herself to think that of him. He seemed different.
Then again, he was quite the actor. Who's to say his actions hadn't been an act all day?
As Isadora approached the carriage, a servant took her trunk for her, putting it away in the storage area. Her expression had turned to that same, stone cold one she typically held. She had a lot on her mind, including mixed emotions. She truly didn't know how to feel.

Xevon glanced back at Isadora with his hands on his hips. He spotted the cold expression first and gave her a slightly teasing grin in return. "Mmh, already starting the journey off well, I see." His grandfather put one hand on his face, sighing heavily. He had come to see them off and now he was regretting it in the first place. But yet, here they were. "Please try to not kill each other," he grumbled quietly. "Then we will both have problems." "Yeah, yeah," Xevon waved one hand, giving Isadora a much more subtle wink. "I'm sure we'll return unscathed, with honor and on a--with a shield."

Isadora rolled her eyes, a summer of a smirk making its way to her face. "Well you gave me time alone so I remember what peace was like," she teased, sassily putting her hands on her lips. His grandfather's words threatened her to smile, but she resisted, enjoying the stress the pair gave him.
Isadors hadn't missed the wink, light blush biting at her ears as she crossed her arms. "I can't make such promises," she jested, returning the subtle wink before shaking her head. "I'm sure everything will be fine though," she sighed, a more serious tone returning to her voice.

Xevon grinned sharply in return as she mentioned the idea of peace. What a blessing, who knew?! But likewise, his smug smile drifted over his lips as his grandfather grumbled about the pair. "Everything will be fine," he confirmed, following her tone. "Well poke fun, we'll argue but in the face of it, we will do what is needed to be done." Xevon could almost promise that. He could and would promise it. "No matter what." "Don't you make that--" Xevon opened the door for Isadora, tipping his head. "Ladies first," he mused with a low smile. Perhaps everyone was right... recklessness was hereditary.

Isadora smiled cheekily, nodding in agreement to his words. They would do what had to be done, but the pit in her stomach told her that she hoped drastic measures wouldn't have to be taken. As Xevon opened the door for her, she swooned dramatically with a smile, "Why thank you, my dear!" She then stepped up into the carriage, sliding into the soft, cloth seat. While it wasn't very large, the carriage was indeed comfortable. As she waited for Xevon to join her, she looked out the window of the carriage, her smile faltering slightly. Her nerves were returning in small waves, but she fought not to let it show.

Xevon dipped his head lightly, his eyes glittering. Drastic measures may be made, he was prepared to make them whatever they were. As long as he was the only one involved. Xevon was prepared to offer himself no matter what. No matter what happened. Her? Now she was off the hook. She had responsibilities back home. He had no doubt she could rule both kingdoms with ease. Plenty of suitors and such. He was just that reckless playboy with a pretty face. "Prepared to see the continent?" Xevon gave her a cheeky smile as he hopped up into the carriage.

Isadora wasn't sure she'd let Xevon do something that would jeopardize his life- No, she wouldn't let him. She couldn't do this alone. She couldn't bear to make the travel back knowing that Xevon wouldn't be joining her. They had a duty. His life wasn't something to just throw away... Isadora smiled lightly, nodding to his question. "Nervous to be away from home, but yeah, I'm actually looking forward to this," she admitted, her hands resting lightly in her lap. "Y'know, now that my dad isn't here to shelter me," she joked, a playful grin finding its way to her face.

"Mmh hmm," Xevon chuckled, leaning back in his seat with his hands up above his head. His eyes flicked out the window. "Overbearing parents are a bit of a struggle. I mean, it's nice that they mean well, but then you never learn." He mused slowly. His eyes flicked back towards her. "Now that you're out of the sheltering eye of your dad, what's the first thing you're going to do?" Xevon grinned, mischievous and sly. "Money isn't an hinderance anyways."

Isadora twisted a curl around her finger, a soft hum exiting her lips as she thought over his words. Her father did mean well, but she was so under prepared for everything. She was headed straight into unknown territory without the slightest knowledge of how these things work. All she could do was go with her gut and trust Xevon to help her make the right decision.
"Hmpf. I don't even know," she laughed, her eyes flickering to Xevon. "I never exactly left the castle, so I don't even know what there is to get into. Perhaps I need you teach me the way of the world," she told him, sighing dramatically. Behind her cold gaze was a glimmer of excitement and anticipation to experience new things.

Xevon chuckled and looked back toward Isadora for a long moment, tilting his head back and forth before rubbing his forehead. But at her question, his eyebrows raised upward. Him? Teach her? "well--" he chuckled, rubbing his forehead. "What applies to me is probably not exactly what you'll want to apply to you. I'm sure you have some hobbies and stuff?" The prince lowered his arms to cross over his chest. "Books and stuff, right? I dunno, I don't really pay attention that much. Since... Y'know..." he waved one hand to the vague gesture to the past and their past.
