The weather currently is very humid and the sky is partly cloudy. The Alphas may make a speech to h their pack about what they should do if they see any opposing pack members while out on scouting. The tension between the two packs is still very high and the Alphas will do whatever is necessary to keep their pack safe. . Cleo | M | Lunar Pack | Beta Male Cleo's eyes flushed open as he looked around. He was happy that it wasn’t raining but it wasn’t entirely sunny. He looked around and saw some of his packmates, it was just another normal day and decided to do something, other than laze around. He got up and trotted over to the clearing, he made sure to stay on his pack's side of the field. He laid low as his eyes caught the attention of a rabbit, it was spring and life was blooming. This was a good time to get nice and fat before the food disappears. The hunting team wasn’t with him but a rabbit was easy enough to catch without them. He waited a good ten minutes before rushing after the rabbit, his claws digging into the dirt as he came to a sharp turn. Success. He lunged and made sure the rabbit was in his jaw, he shook the meat around violently. Blood splattered on the green grass as he shook it. He made sure to not eat it, as it was spring there was plenty of food but the food was divided into two. He carried the carcass back to the main area of his pack, he didn’t know exactly where to put it so he placed it near the alpha. He lowered his head in respect then sat down, he didn’t say anything as he was licking off the blood stains from his front paws. He didn’t expect the alphas to say anything. Mairea | Nightlock Pack | The Beta Female | Mentions: Lunar Pack [ind.], Mishka
An alabaster female sat alone, watching the border. There was an indiscernible expression upon her face - her eyes sharp, and vigilant as she watched the border with scrutinizing eyes. Her fur feeling heavy against the humid air, and she looked at the clouds as if they had offended her. They were good for nothing, she huffed inwardly, what use were clouds if they couldn't even prick of this humidity. She then turned back to the border, an eerie calm washing over her. She was like a big cat, waiting for foolish prey to stumble upon her lands - but it seems that her endeavors would be rather futile. " Filthy insects. " she muttered darkly, as she casted a haughty gaze at what was the side of the Lunar Pack Territory. " Hm, they should be worried about being purged from this area - then the clearing will finally be ours. The poor fools don't even know what's coming. " she hummed to herself as she arose from her position- gracefully shaking of any dust or dirt that dared to even think of staining her pure coat. Oh, what pitiful dolts were their enemies, and her pack for that matter, she thought as she walked back to the pack grounds. Surely by now Mishka would be up and giving the orders for the day, she confidently strode into camp. Her steps silent and delicate as she moved about - her eyes carefully watching the others as she entered, a silent challenge in her opinion, because who would dare stand in her way? Only a fool would, and she was quite ready for this day to start - it was such a dull morning already, maybe the rains would come and flood the Lunar Pack away? Now that was a thought that earned an inward giggle of malice. Such putrid thoughts, an inner voice chided, and she all but ignored said voice.
She casually walked up to the Alpha Female, a slight bow of respect - she did in honor to her superior, and she gave a small tilt off her head, " Good Morning, Mishka." She said with that soft, yet sweet voice of hers, " how are you this, rather humid morning?" She said with a soft chuckle, "if there is anything you need me to do or oversee and I'll be right on it." She said with a genuine tone of voice. You're so cruel to her to face such pleasantries, a voice hissed inwardly, a scolding from a more purer version of herself. Pish Posh, she chided her voice, I'm only playing the long game. And if a little flattery gets me somewhere - then so be it. She didn't let anything show on her face, only an attentiveness to the needs of Mishka, and in her own twisted way - she did care. Edited at May 10, 2023 11:04 AM by Spellbound

Mishka | Nightlock | Alpha Female Mentions: Mairea (dir.), Morpheus (ind.), Pack (ind.) . The humidity was enough to annoy the Alpha Female already. She rose to her paws, revealing her height in full, before exiting her den. Mishka's hues locked onto the pack. Most were just awakening while others seemed to be conversing while waiting for her to give orders. Mishka wasn't oblivious. She's heard the whispers before about not having an Alpha Male. Mishka personally didn't see the issue. She had been apart of this pack long enough to be able to run it by herself. After all, she's been the one to keep them protected. With the threats from the Lunar Pack, Mishka knows not to have her pack make irrational decisions. They have to be smart about it. The female took a seat in front of her den, trying to awaken herself fully in order to properly hand out missions. . That is when the Beta Female, Mairea, appeared in front of Mishka. Mairea deserved her position due to the fact that Mishka trusts her completely. Mairea has come a long way in the eyes of the Alpha. Mishka watched as Mairea paid her respects by bowing her head before speaking. "Goodmorning, Mairea. I am doing quite well, thank you for asking." Mishka said before pausing. The Beta was curious to know if there was anything she could do. Mishka thought for a moment before responding. "I would like for you to take the hunters on a run. Being as the full moon ceremony is tonight, we need food more than anything. If you don't mind." Mishka added. . The full moon ceremony was easily one of Mishka's favorite traditions. It was just something about the pack coming together and bonding under the moon that enlightened her. Mishka turned towards Mairea before speaking again. "And if you see Morpheus, I would like for you to relay a message. Or simply have him give me a visit. Whichever one you'd like." Mishka paused. "I would like for him to take the warriors on a patrol when you get back with the hunters. I would send them at the same time but that would leave the pack vulnerable so I need them here while you are gone." Mishka said and nodded to the Beta Female. "However, if you see anything out of the ordinary, report back to me. Immediately." Mishka said with almost a stern tone. She cannot afford to have any of her pack members injured by unwanted visitors. However, if Lunar Pack knows what's best for them, they would stay on their side of the territory. . Mishka had dismissed the Beta Female and began to walk around the pack territory. She walked with her head held high, seeing as some members' demeanor would change in her presence. Mishka was never the type of Alpha to scare her pack members into listening to her. Her biggest blessing is the pack itself. She hold a special place in her heart for all of them and so help anyone who tries to hurt them. Mishka flicked her tail as she watched the pack intently, making sure everyone was staying busy. Mishka wanted to get out all her patrols before the rain showers begin.

Aurea | Female | Nightlock Pack | Hunter | Chern
The slight, darkly coated dame stood with her ears pricked to the sky and her nose quivering in earnest. The elderly female gazed around the expansive forest with the keen bright eyes of a apprentice. She pushed off from the soggy ground underfoot and broke into an easy lope, her hunting stealth ensuring that she made little sound. This time to herself to hunt a little prey had been all that she had needed this morning. She wondered for a moment how many of the pack were awake. Honestly, stop worrying about the pack! That niggling voice in the back of headwas prominent now as she surveyed the landscape that flashed past as she continued to run.
Coming upon the river that lay to the east of the camp, she slowed her envigorating pace and once again searched for a hint of prey. Her senses alert, she padded down the rough slope towards the water, pausing to sniff a nearby bush. But alas, prey was not around this area today, and her tail drooped slightly with annoyance. Then just up ahead on the banks of the river, she spotted a dark coloured wolf bending down to take a drink. Her body stiffened, she could guess that he was a loner by the way that his stench filled her nostrils with unrecognition. She backed off a little and skirted around the edge of the forest, keeping in between the trees. Her instincts were telling her to move off and tell Mishka, but her curiousity couldn't resist. Loner wolves had always held a special place in her heart, and she wanted to get to know this male a bit more. She crossed the rocky river bank and came towards him from the side, so as not to scare him. "So, why are you out here on this bright morning?" The dame spoke loud enough for him to hear, but her tone was curious, not aggressive like she knew her packmates would have been to this male. Edited at May 10, 2023 05:23 PM by Astrolistic

Malumbra | F | Lunar Pack | Warrior | Cleo, Keefe, Ghost
Malumbra's golden gaze drifted across the wide grassy expanse before her, bathed in an eerie gray light as she sat at the edge of the dens. Her dark ears twitched slightly as she heard the shrill death scream of a rabbit. Someone had made a successful kill. A zephyr rustled her fur, bringing the scent of the Beta Male to her keen nostrils, and her posture relaxed slightly, tail curling around her paws. A few moments later he trotted into camp, and she glanced away from his gaze in submission as he moved past her. She wasn't one to cower before anyone in power, but she certainly would respect them. They hadn't gotten to where they were by just being there, and therefore they justly demanded submission. She turned her attention back to the pack's borders, but her ears remained fixated behind her, listening for the alphas commands for the morning. Edited at May 10, 2023 05:23 PM by Luna Tenebris

Aspen | Male | Nightlock Pack | Warrior | Mishka, Mairea (ind.)
Aspen awoke with a start, his pelt sweltering. The previous night had not been a good one. The nights had become warmer over the past few weeks, and his thick coat had yet to lose it's winter fluff. With worries on his mind and heat on his pelt, he had struggled to fall asleep. But eventually, tiredness had driven him to a restless slumber. As he thought of what the patrols of today would bring, he grinned and stretched, arching his back with pleasure and sighing as his muscles warmed up. In spite of the warm day, he actually felt quite stiff, and promised himself that he would ease into movement today, as the warriors could not afford to have injuries. He sat down outside his den and licked his chest free of debris from his nest. As he did so, he spotted Mishka walking around the camp, ovrseeing its member. As she came past, he averted his eyes and dipped his head, his heart speeding up a little. Then, once she was gone, he wondered what Mairea would have in store for the warriors today. His belly suddenly rumbled, and he immediately thought of his mother Aurea, who was a hunter for the pack. There better be some food here soon. He thought hungrily.

Nashka • Female • Nightlock Pack • Delta • M: Mishka, Mairea, Open! ~ The young Delta's claws dug into the ground as she stirred, yawning once she realized she couldn't go back to her peaceful sleep. Licking her muzzle Nashka opened her eyes and blinked slowly, the sun peering through the cracks in her den. Letting out a small growl the she-wolf stood and stretched. She shook herself and her head, attempting to become more awake and appear awake to the pack. "The universe really couldn't have let me sleep in a bit longer couldn't it?" Nashka mumbled to herself before standing up straight and walking out of the cool den. ~ The weather could have made the Delta gag, it was warm and humid, and not any better than the past few days. Having only just started shedding her winter coat things had been very hot for the young female. Nashka had to have been seeing the river at least 8 times a day, and it was annoying and embarrassing having to go up to your Alpha and ask to go out for water. Though Nashka was sure that everyone in the pack and Mishka were having the same difficulties. ~ Nashka had only walked a few paces before she spotted the other wolves exiting their dens. She watched them carefully as they wandered about the pack's den space. Seeing the Beta female walking up to the packs Alpha, Nashka decided it would be good to find out what she should be doing for the day. The Delta was never a fan of "bowing" or lowering her head to other wolves, but Mishka was her Alpha, really the only exception to that personal rule. ~ Bowing her head before she spoke, "Good morning Alpha," she said walking up to the tall female wolf. "Anything needed of me?". The young female's tail wagged ever so slightly, she looked up to Mishka, her stance proud-looking. Edited at May 11, 2023 08:54 PM by Plant Mother

Chernobog ✧ Male ✧ N/A ✧ Loner Mentions: Nightlock Pack (ind.) and open A dark-coated male sat peacefully on a hill, his gaze fixated on the horizon, examining the plains for any potential prey that could be sulking about. With a heavy hum in his throat, the male rises to his paws, taking steps forward to wander through the tall grass. He uses his chest to force a path, leaving a trail behind him. The blades of grass brushed his upper legs, tugging at his coat, making his body flinch to get rid of the itchy feeling. His ears pushed forward, picking up the sound of something rustling in the undergrowth. Chern crouched low, going into a stalking position, and crept forward. His massive frame made him the worst at stealth, his steps quite loud and easily detectable. The only concern on his mind is if whatever is hiding in the vegetation could hear his paw steps. He inches closer, centimeters away from the source. Chern wiggles his haunches, about to leap until the noise stops, then gets replaced by its loud rusting as it runs away. He grunts, upset by its decision to flee, and bolts after the fleeing animal. He lifted his body partially up, and his legs outstretched to a run while his eyes concentrated on the grass parting to track its location. The sudden course change made the wolf grumble, guessing it could be a smaller animal, like a rabbit or squirrel. If it were those two, it would be wise to stop the hunt, as there's no way he can catch up to such fast creatures. His best bet was to stop the chase and preserve his stamina for something else. So he did, purposely slowing down to allow the critter to run free. He watched it go, huffing as he regained the lost air that left his lungs. Chern watched it go with brief anger before moving opposite away from it, sneezing as pollen entered his nose. His mouth felt dry, craving for water and food. From what he recalls, there was a river nearby. The only thing he needs to do is locate it again. That shouldn't be too hard. Right? Chern trots off in a random direction, dutifully following his instincts. It took some time, but he managed to find the running water. When his eyes met the clear liquid, he rushed to the shore and crouched down, greedily lapping the water with his tongue. He pulls back, curling up in a ball beside the river, letting out a sneeze before relaxing.

Sage | Female | Nightlock | Lead Warrior | Mentions: Open~ The female was up from the crack of dawn and how could she not be? Tonight was the full moon recital and there was a lot needed to be done before the night began. Some would need to hunt and others would need to do an extensive patrol of the territory, something she couldn't wait for. As much as she'd prefer it if she went on her own she knew that wasn't going to happen. Sage would do anything asked of her, even if that meant joining the hunting party. Which she knew wasn't going to happen. Hunting was definitely not her forte, she wasn't agile and quick like some of her other pack members and preferred to use her brute strength for things. With being lead warrior she hoped to be the one leading the patrol but she knew there was a chance that wouldn't be the case, after all there were still other wolves that were higher up than her. That thought alone made the brute of a female frustrated, adjusting herself to rest her head on top of her paws. Sage had always wanted more for herself in a pack with her last one being such a disaster. As much as she cared for the other members she tried to keep to herself for the most part, afraid that if she got too close to anyone that they would just be ripped away from her again. Just as her brother and the rest of her former pack had been. With a huff, Sage pulled herself up to her thoughts. Sitting around and doing nothing was starting to make her agitated or more so it was bringing thoughts into her mind that she didn't want there. Being on the constant go kept them at bay and that's the way she liked it to be. Shaking off her pelt to loosen any debris that happened to attach to it, Sage looked around camp. Others were starting to get up and for that she was grateful. Lazing about was nowhere close to being on her bucket list anytime soon and she decided it was time to actually do something useful. Bowing down onto her front legs, Sage stretched herself out to rid any of the tension in her muscles. She wasn't quite sure what was going to be asked for her and the anticipation was eating its way through her. Her eyes searched over camp, setting on each of the members that were up. If she had it her way everyone would already be heading out and doing what they were supposed to but it wasn't her say and she respected that for the most part. Despite her desires she was still a loyal wolf, she just had higher visions for the future than some of the others. Catching her gaze onto the alpha female, she watched as her beta female spoke with her with another pack member coming over shortly afterwards. There was always a part of Sage that admired their leader, the way she did it without the need of an alpha male was an admirable quality in her eyes. Walking around the edge of camp to stretch her legs, Sage waited for something to be asked for her rather than going up and bothering the alpha female. She was sure she would be told once something was needed for her, no matter how impatient she was.
