Probably. It's a good cult classic for me now. The netflix adaptation is a lot more tame, from my memory. i watched it when it first came out so years ago

Talen, in saying all that. I do think it is very strange that the film was sort of child targeted with its adverts/marketing. The author used to tell the stories to his kids so I think that's why, but again written/spoken word vs visuals I suppose
