I will do it sometimes to get one wolf higher than another, rather than buying items to reduce dom. Not the most effective, but saves me a bit of mush. I'm not focused on high dom though, just pack happiness.

It can add some if you have a lot of new wolves, but take away if you already gave your wolves points. Just check your dom and check what it will be and all will be well :)

Hello. In this guide I'll be showing you how to create and train a good battle wolf.

To start off; you should always start out with a heavyweight pup with *preferably* good vitals on spring 1. To do this, you can breed for a hw hero on fall 3, or simply search for one in sales chat or on the trading post.
(reminder, a heavyweight wolf is anywhere from 130lbs to 150lbs.)

If you don't know how to check if a wolf is heavyweight; see to this guide ;;
https://wolfplaygame.com/forums.php?f=29&t=119

It helps for your wolf to have good or excellent affinity with your pack; since their health will regenerate faster if they like the other wolves.

Once you've got your pup, you can begin to CP train it. I recommend buying bronze figurines to do this, on top of your daily cp, but you can use just the cp you get daily too.

There's no exact order to fill out the stats in that works best; but here's my preferred order ;;

- Battle
- Resolve
- Stealth
- Agility
- Luck
- Empathy
- Perception
- Wisdom

After those are filled; you can stop, or keep going and fill out whatever others you'd like.
( You should aim to finish training your wolf in CP; or get close by the time it turns 2 years old )

----

Now, time for the actual BE training.
In advance; if you have the mush, I'd recommend buying around 400 explore moves from barter. (20 Chinese Pottery) just so you can keep exploring without having to wait for the cool down time. You can always go with 100 (5 pottery) for starters, but seeing as 400 moves is how many it'll take to clear one level; I always go with that.
Also; stock up on health potions. Maybe 10, to start. Wolves without much BE will get hit far more often.

Make sure your wolf is fed and watered before you head to explore. If you have a big explore team; with four or more high BE wolves; I recommend only bringing one of them along, or putting them all on defense moves unless it's a big predator your training wolf couldn't defeat alone.

If you're on a higher forest level; like 10 or something, I'd recommend going to Forest Level 2 and replaying the level. It tends to be rich in predators and prey and will give you profit, but also lots of opportunity to raise your wolf's battle experience. You can also go to any other territory, but stay on low levels like 1-3. Higher levels tend to have less predators and are definitely more difficult.

Now is the time where you explore throughout the tiles. If you come across a predator and your newly developed battle wolf gets below 30 health; now would be the time to break out that other battle wolf, or to heal your trainee and keep going.
That's basically it; really. Explore as much as you can each day and soon your wolf will be at 100+ BE ^^

Wolves gain a new offensive or defensive move every 25 BE they earn; here's a list of the moves they can get.
I'd suggest aiming to get your battle wolf to 500+ BE
