Recently, a hoarding situation floated to the surface to animal rescuers. They managed to get every dog and puppy out of the overcrowded house though, this means the local shelter was overflowing with said canines but they still cared for them. Old and new dogs have to adapt to their new environment and wait to be adopted. Some are adopted right out of the gate which relieved the shelter a little but dogs still remained. Will they stay in the shelter for years or get adopted after a few days? |

The new dogs have finally arrived at the shelter have been moved into their new kennels, whether they're on their own or with another dog or two. But, all dogs in the shelter share an outdoor space together. They're allowed out during the day but must go back into their kennels before dinner time hits. The outside area connects all of the kennels and stretches out two acres on every side (except the front). Will the dogs get along or will they cause problems? The sun rises over the land, marking a few hours since the hoarding house was busted. |

A red-tan figure was resting on the kuranda bed that was in his kennel. The kennel seemed a bit drab in the early morning, the light only coming in through the gate that let him out into the yard. Unlike some of the dogs who displayed nervous and anxious tendencies and whined at the doors of their kennels, waiting to see if anyone would come for them, Brutus often just remained on his bed. He no longer showed interest in anyone who walked by his kennel or peered in at him. He didn't even both showing attention to anyone who wanted to meet him, but it bothered Brutus little anymore. He didn't mind his kennel of solitude, being too big and too tempermental to share it with anyone, and as long as he got fed and could go out now and then he didn't really care.
Lifting his head from where it rested, his body shortly followed as he meandered over to his water bowl. He lapped at it quietly, before turning to the door to his kennel and listening to the sounds of the building. There had been a lot of new dogs brought in, many of them wreaking of fear, so he was curious to what had happened. Shaking his head though, the male peeled away from the door and pushed himself out through the dog door that lead to the yard they all could share. His leisurely gait took him over to his favorite spot beneath a tree. It got just enough sun in the morning to warm his bones before it transitioned to shade and kept him cool throughout the day.
With a soft grunt the male laid down and yawned widely, his adjusting to the new light of the day. |

Ikaris|Male|3|AussiexGSD|New dog|M: Brutus (not directly), open The canine had sat in the corner of his kennel since he had arrived, ignoring the people that occasionally stood in front of the metal gate, not on purpose, he just couldn't hear them. He had his head turned away from the gate as he peered out into the yard. Ikaris hesitantly stepped out of the safety of his kennel, swiftly glancing around with his head and frame close to the ground in a slightly submissive way. The dog slowly walked away from the building, his body still low. He headed into the furthest corner of the field, green eyes squinting as he spotted another dog not too far away. Ikaris stared for awhile as he sat down on his haunches, tail neatly curling around himself |

Nessa and Pasily|f|2 and 5|German sheperd mix and Doberman mix|M: Ikaris Nessa layed in her kennel, shivering, still not quite undertsanding what was happening. She smelled fresh grass, something she hadnt smelled in a long time but she was too scared to wander right now. Just then she saaw a doberman looking dog enter her kennel. She heard some humans talking about kennel sharing but she hoped she was alone but sadly she wasnt. "Hi" she said plodding over to Nessa. "Im Pasily". Nessa stared at pasily's foot then showed her teeth. Pasily stoped in her tracks and turned around. Great, i have a bad room mate she thought to herself as she padded up to a random dog and said, "Hi, im Pasily". The dog had unique fur with one side being the pelt of an Australian Shepherd while the other being a German Shepherd’s. |

Ikaris|Male|3|AussiexGSD|New dog|M: Pasily, open Ikaris was alone, that he liked. But that was until a dog appeared out of nowhere in front of him. The canine backed up with a small growl in surprise, though he bumped into the fence that surrounded the yard. He couldn't hear what the dog had said, his ears being no use.
His frame had lowered to the ground in submission once again. He wasn't particularly trying to be aggressive towards the female as the growl was more of a fearful one. His ears were pinned against his crown, tail tucked between his legs as his growling stopped, being replaced with cautious sniffing but he didn't move from his spot against the fence. |

Pasily|f|5|Doberman mix| M: Ikaris Pasily jerked her head back as the dog surprised her with a fearful growl. He then backed into the fence and got into a submissive pose. Then two the exchanged sniff's and pasily sat down. "Im sorry, i didnt mean to scare you, i just like to talk". She then looked into the sky as a robin flew above the fence, landing on a tree outside the fence. Before the dog could answer she started to talk again as she watched the bird. "I love to watch birds, and hear them sing, their song is so beautful, Dont you think?" pasily glanced at the dog then watched the robin again. "One time i saw this really pretty bird from outside the window, it was so pretty i thought it was human food but then realised it was a bird. Have you had that happen before? Its so anoyying. One time"-Isabel kept mummbling to herself as he watched the robin. She would do this sometimes, just get talking to herself, forgetting all about the dog she was talking too. |

Ikaris|Male|3|AussiexGSD|New dog|M: Pasily, open Slowly, he laid down in the grass, gazing at the dog in front of him, trying to see what she was saying but all he got was talk about a bird. He was confused, that was for sure. Ikaris knew she said her name but he didn't pay attention as he was more occupied with him being scared. So, he just laid there, ears began to perk up again, his eyes still locked onto the other canine. He knew he could speak up but he didn't want to interrupt her rambling about birds, even if he was deaf, that doesn't mean he could be rude. The lupine's tail curled around himself once again. |

Pasily|f|5|Doberman mix| M: Ikaris After a while she stopped talking, remembering she was talking to a dog she didnt even know the name of. "So, whats your name?" she asked as she layed down like the dog had done. It took all her strengh not to start talking as she waited for the dog to reply. |
