Donatus Academy of Incantation, also known commonly as Donai, is a school with quite the reputation. Originally built as a way to separate potentially dangerous magical folk from the others, it has evolved over time. Over the course of it's history, Donatus has gained quite a bit of prestige, some powerful legacy families, and a way of making problems disapear. That was, until now. In an era of unrest, the midst of one civil rights crisis, tensions rising between magical and nonmagical users, and the looming threat of their entire world changing, staff and student body alike are restless about what the future holds.

1. Follow all of Eve's rules here as well as forum rules here. Those cover the very basics about forum RPs in general. 👍

2. Pm me with questions, I don't bite! This can be about the plot, want to make a special character, legacies, etc!

3. If you get declined but really want to rp, pm me! I can work with you on what needs fixed and how to meet requirements, especially if you're a newer member. <3

4. As this is a school-based rp, with minors, please be mindful that romance is not the priority. School crushes are fine and dandy, but keep it in check. 👍

5. Once the discussion and roleplay thread are made I do expect activity. Life happens though, so if anything comes up feel free to pm and we'll work from there.

6. No single sentence posts. This is semiliterate, so people need something to work with.

7. Mark forms as a WIP, and pm or comment when finished please!

8. We are lgbtq+ friendly here, even if this specific plot and setting may make it difficult.

9. There is a two character max.

10. Characters must be humans with a singular magical power, or a nonhuman if you pm me. You can go to these links if you want inspiration or a more in depth reference to types of nonhumans or magic.
This is completely optional though, I don't want to stifle creativity.

11. Reservations will last 24 hrs with a 24 hr extension.

Academy Code of Conduct

Donatus Academy prides itself on the core beliefs of giving students the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. The following summary of the Academy Student Code of Conduct is to ensure the positive learning experience for all students.

1. Lower Academy students may not leave campus.
Upper Academy may leave with dorm parent permission.
6th-7th years may live off campus.

2. It is expected that students wear clothing appropriate for the dress code.

3. Students have the right to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

4. Skirmishes are not permitted within the hallways or during class hours. However, we encourage students to use problem solving skills and magic alike when resolving a dispute. Maiming and/or fatal injuries are prohitibited.

5. Be curteous and respectful to staff and fellow students alike.

6. Students are permitted four excused absences per year. Skipping classes is unacceptable and will see consequences.

7. Respect individual dorm house rules.

8. Breakfast is available from 6:00 am to 11:00 am.
Lunch period is between 11:15 am to 1:15 pm.
Dinner is served promptly at 7:00 pm.
Dorms are checked at 10:00 pm.
Lights must be out by 10:15 pm.

9. Detention is every Saturday from 12:00 am to 1:00 pm.

10. Remember, you are representing Donatus both on and outside of campus. The outmost respectful behaviour is expected during school sanctioned events and trips.

Uniform & Dress Code

Donatus Academy has both Casual and Formal days. Students are expected to have at least one tie, blazer, and button up or knit vest for Formal days.

Students may wear any combination of button up shirt, accesories, and dress pants, shorts, skirt, or jumper on casual days. Shoes are only required for students without claws or hooves.

Here at Donatus we recognise the unique needs of our nonhuman students. Please contact Barnabas Wright in admissions to submit a formal approval for a dress code accomidation for your student.

Escape artistry - Frankie has the uncanny and passive power to be practically untouchable. He has a habit of using this to show off though, egging people on to try locking him up somewhere to no avail.
His cousins swear one day it'll get him into trouble.

Frankie at 16

Frankie has warm toned darker skin, with freckles scattered across the bridge of his nose and down his arms. He has short dark brown hair in kinky ringlets, and the telltale golden Demonicaux eyes.

He has yet to hit any substaintial growth spurts, looking like your average, if a bit lanky, teenage boy. He tries to stick to more cuasual uniforms when possible, having a particular affinity to flared pants and patterned short sleeve button shirts.

✩ Personality ✩

Frankie is not the best at interacting with his fellow students. Like the majority of the Demonicaux children he grew up on the family manor and is still navigating around relationships outside of his immediate family, often coming across awkward. He is hopelessly naive, not recognising some other students may want to be his friend due to his namesake alone. Despite this he seems to be growing out of his shell, and hopefully this year will only imrpove things.

While not being great at small talk or one on one interactions, he is a natural performer. He may even gain a reputation for himself outside of his family with his tricks and infectious smile. He has a display of being overly extroverted, obnoxiously so even. This does have a bit on an impact on his grades. While he may be excellent at entertaining a class, his teachers do not find his distractions or lack of focus all that fun.
When he's around his family it's like a switch flips, where he's trying to fit their mold of success, as it's a stressful legacy to try and live up to.

Frankie's childhood was igsignificant by Demonicaux standards. Raised by his aunts and uncles and grandfather alongside his cousins, had his power test at four, knew he was going to be attending Donatus.
The most interesting thing to happen to him, unfortunately, was he ended up with a power not seen in the family before and his ideas for how to use it vary greatly from his grandfather's. Frankie just sees the fun and whimsy within being able to escape silly traps and tricks. His grandfather, however, sees a power that can be abused to escape fights and conflicts - especially as tensions grow amongst those with and without magic.
