The forest was quiet, almost too quiet because some of the more talkative and small spirits were quiet. It was normally a sign that a mortal being was in the forest or something spooked them. A few of the smaller forest spirits floated around me as I walked, they were like flies compared to me.
As I walked the damp foliage on the ground prevented me from making a sound because there was a light fog that rolled in after the sun went down. I didn’t dare go near the edge of the forest but I knew I had to so I could figure out what was disturbing the forest.

A demon protecting a forest isn’t what you would imagine right? Well no one thinks angels can be violent, and that’s because they cannot be violent. So they have to hire us to protect the forest without a second thought of harming someone if they do not listen. Of course, only a select few are allowed the job due to morals and how blood or death-driven they are. I’m one of the 20% that can think on their own and only one of the 10% that don’t have a high blood lust, so I can think logically.

When I got closer to the edge of the forest I spotted a group of teenagers. I let out a sigh, as I was still a good 800 yards away. I let out a terrible screech, seeing if that would drive them away. I watched as they all stood spooked. I got tired of waiting for their reaction to change and started walking closer toward them. I was no longer trying to hide my footsteps; every time my foot hit the ground, it echoed through the forest.

As the sun rises in the window of my bedroom, my alarm ringing off trying the best to wake me up. I looked up and shuts off the alarm before my little brother runs in and said " sis can't I come with you " I spoke softly " no brother I am going to hang out with my friends you can't come it is too dangerous " he groans and walks away sad before I looked down and shakes my head. I try my best to stay awake as it was hard to since waking up at 6 in the morning. I headed down stairs where my best friend was waiting for me, Lisa looks up as I was walking down tired and she smiles saying " your late girl " I yawn and said " sorry my alarm rang twice I guess " Lisa shakes her head and said " come on girl let's go "as Lisa heads to the door where her other three friends waited as I got to the door mother yells " stay safe I heared those woods are dangerous " Lisa rolls her eyes and we were all out the door and in to Lisa mother car heading to the woods.

By the time we got there is was 9am and I was hungry but Lisa told me we will eat in the woods like a picnic but i didn't think it was a great idea as they headed towards the walks talking and walks some of us giggles echo through the wood which we quite it down when it echo then when along giggling again before Lisa said " so is this so terrible " I sighed and replied " no I guess not it just that I don't know how safe these woods are you heard the rumors right " Lisa sighed and said " I'll protect you sister " I sighed as Lisa runs ahead of everyone before she stops in her tracks.

Everyone soon came to a stop when a noise came from the woods and Lisa said " uhh that was just the tree " Carla said " just the trees I don't...." I shakes in fear before hearing foot steps and steps in front of my friends and said " who is out there you don't scare me " as I try to sound like I wasn't scared but to be true I was, as Lisa try to think of something ro say Carla said " can we get out of here" I looks at her and said " and let this monster win I don't think so I friend " as I reassured her then turn back to the woods that stood in front of me and said " stay here ill be back " as I walk towards them to get a beet look at the place before turning and looking back at them, their eyes made me scared even more then what I was. As I took a deep breath and said to myself " I got to do this at least see if it is a prank from other people "

When i saw they hadn't moved I sped up my walk as it was obvious I was approaching at a faster rate. My footsteps got louder for them to hear, that was until I spotted one that separated from the group. I didn't understand considering most humans grouped. Unless they were being hunted but it wasn't my business, my only job was to drive them out of the forest.

I slowed my footsteps when they spotted me, I swayed my tail a bit as I approached them, flaring my claws. My spear was currently on my back so it was visible that I had a weapon. The wind began to howl, it seemed the spirits were helping me drive them out in a way as I got closer and closer towering over them. I glanced over at the other humans who were still a good distance away. I couldn't tell if they could see this human female or not.

My demonic voice was difficult to understand but I knew they got the idea. Unless she was about to faint. I stared at her, my eyes were visible through the helmet due to how close my head was to hers. I felt a slight warm breeze and quickly whipped around grabbing my spear. I drove it in the direction of where the warm air came and it pierced through one of the purest beings, an angel. Except this one was a guardian angel, even I was shocked at how I managed to kill a guardian angel so quickly. I was frozen in place as I stared at the angel dying on the end of my spear the sword they had in hand originally fell to the ground. I knew there was nothing I could do as they were being infected by the poison on my spear.

Hesitantly I pinned the spear down and ripped it out of the angel's chest and drove it into the angel's head. I paused, and hesitantly ripped the angel's wings off. I turned back to the humans, checking on them to see if they were still conscious after everything they just saw. Even though I was in shock and I knew that my boss would be coming soon, I knew I was in the right to kill the guardian angel by law but I had no clue what was going to happen to the human.

Clara watches with a slight shiver running down her spine as she hears the steps coming faster then normal, Lisa and the other saw the creature and they started backing up making Clara even more nervous as she look and saw the creature before hesitates for a answer or to run as she looks back and Lisa mouths " run " as most of her friends left her their but Lisa was trying to help at least. Clara heard his voice and said " what are you so sort of nightmare " as she ignored his mumble words to her since she didn't really understand him. Clara wasn't sure what to do now until she saw him murder a innocent some creature with wings she back up this time and said " you... mm..murder ..aaa .. " she was having a hard time finding the word to say

She really felt like she was going to faint as she try to calm down her breathing before Clara looks at him her vision blurry and she felt weak and was being to fall as she passes out. In her passes out dream, " daughter wake up daughter " her mother whispers before her mother said " it is not your fault that I am gone your dad needs you the most don't let this creature kill you " she wanted to speak to her but why couldn't she as she trys hard to open her mouth before memories of her dad came in " daughter help" step mother was in the corner of the kitchen scared before the dream went Blank and she lays there not moving a muscle

She slowly come back opening her eyes and looking around before saying " where am I " as she groan and looks around then said " how long have I been passed out " as she felt tired and had a big headache. Clara lays her head back down and closes her eyes in a dreamless sleep but she still moves around shaking and cold un sure what happen and where she was. She couldn't even look for Lisa or her other friends who took her to this place

The other humans ran off while the one seemed to be fighting with some inner-demons. She fell to the ground and black out after a bit, i stared at her not knowing what to do and soon enough my boss arrived.

I could hear the hooves of his horse and i could sense my replacement as I was going to be hearing a bunch of it. I wasn't going to be yelled at because my actions were justified, but I was going to have to say the code and prove I know I'm in the right.

Once he got there and dismounted his horse, I started up.

"Sir," I greeted him "The humans entered the forest and if the guardian angel belonged to this human then they should have redirected them before they walked into the forest. I was acting on self defense as I am doing the job I was assigned," I said and my Captain just looked at me nodded. I apparently said everything correctly, So I wouldn't be receiving punishment.

Due to protocol we had to take her back and I was let off work but required to stay until things were sorted out. One of the immortal humans that worked in hell was next to her bed. That way when she woke up she wouldn't have to deal with a demon and it could hopefully be sorted out calmly.

Unfortunately I was going to have to protect the human until they found a sufficient replacement for her guardian angel. Not many humans need a guardian angel so it only made me curious. But I didn't want to be the replacement either, I argued on it quite a bit. I got into a physically aggressive argument even. I won the physical argument but the person was a higher rank so it was worthless.

Just as another argument was about to start we heard her waking up and I realized my figure was showing through the window. I heard the Immortal human talking to her as I growled at the higher ranked officer and walked in despite being warned not to.

"You are in hell at the moment but you will return to the living world shortly and get to return back to normal. You have only been out for a couple hours.Would you like me to explain what happened?" The immortal explained just before I walked in. I didn't know if I was recognizable since I wasn't wearing my armor. I leaned against the wall, irritated as my tail swayed back and forth like a cat's tail when it is mad.

My eyes open up again when I heard someone talk I quickly got out of the bed and to a corner as i looked at the person then glare at the guy who entered the room before saying " leave me alone please I don't want to die " as I knew being here was different then being at home with my parents and friends but why did they need me to stay here I looked back at them and said " I just want to go home right now " before curling my legs towards my face and as I felt tears sting my eyes putting my head into my lap and trys the best to calm down at least for now as I was breathing in and out as slowly I could it was helping,

Clara looked around the room before crying even harder, I pulled myself closer to the wall as best I could as the fear over took me making my head hurt and in pain as I put my hands on my head and said " d...do you have..a ..uh bathroom I could ..uh use " as I was trying to figure things out but didn't really know what they wanted with her. I looked down then said " what do you want with me money cause my dad would give you anything our house even " as I knew I was lieing we were poor and had nothing except a mess up dumpy house but then something snapped inside my head the horse I have my horse I could give up

As i thinks about my horse I went back into my memories my mom and I had with that horse we had her as a baby foal and ever since I was 10 years old, playing and riding was my favorite thing to do as a child and horse riding is still one today but it not as fun as it was with mom. I smiled softly to the memories flowing through my mind forgetting where I was before snapping out of it and said " please would you just let me go I am nothing to guys " as I looked at the man at the standing in the room and trying to figure if he was the one that was out there before she passed out but I guess not really.

Back at home Lisa ran into the house screaming " a creature has Clara a creature has Clara " my brother said " you guys shouldn't have gone to those woods who knows if that creature would be kind enough to keep her alive " step mother said " son please do scare this poor child even more " Lisa groans and said " I am no child " father walks in and said " of course not but if you listened to your mother warning then we wouldn't be calling you a child "

I stared at the human, bored, I even rolled my eyes as they balled. She wouldn't stop crying and I was ready to walk out of the room. All I could think about was how much I didn't want to do this and I hoped her new guardian angel would be back soon. I may be able to tolerate emotional humans better than most demons but it doesn't mean I'm a professional.

"Uh, I guess I will translate for you since the demon language is just a jumbled version of the human language. You might pick up on it by the time you get a new guardian angel." The Immortal woman said with a nervous laugh.

"I'm going to put that off for a little and try and calm you down, don't worry you will be going home here in a couple hours. You will get to see your family, everything will be normal as we kinda removed your friend's memories of the incident. Not only that but there is a demon mimicking you and your habits in your house at the moment as we speak so your parents won't even know something happened. Now that, that is over... I'm going to quote what he said here 'No, we do not have bathrooms. Also, this is hell. The only things we care about in hell is power, us demons don't want your foolish mortal stuff.' it may be harsh but it is true. We don't have bathrooms here because it's kinda the end of the line for most beings. That and everything the demons have here is futuristic technology that you mortals won't get for another couple hundred years." She said pausing for a bit allowing the girl to process everything she said before continuing. "What is going to happen is that Phantom will be your guardian until you have been assigned a new guardian angel. he will be unable to harm you or anyone around you unless they are a threat to you." She motioned to me when she said my name and I rolled my eyes, looking away, I ignored the conversation.

My mind wandered, I realized I still had the angel wings in my bag of holding and my brain paused. I was still expressionless as my poker face seemed to have saved my tail. I would have to present them to Lucifer, I can't even trust the higher guards with them.

I happened to catch Lucifer at a good time because I found him when he didn't have any guards. I talked with him in a private location and turned in the wings. He caught wind of what happened and found out that the angel's wings were already missing when the body was retrieved by the other demons. He claimed that I would be rewarded and be on the list for a higher rank due to my honesty and not succumbing to my demon nature.

When I returned it seemed the human had calmed down a bit more but I didn't truly know. I wasn't in such an irritated mood anymore since I was praised by Lucifer. This scared the immortal woman it seemed

"Why are you more relaxed at the moment?" she said wearily

Clara kept quite as she heard them talk to each other she was scared but she calms down and got up moving to the bed again before saying “ I understand that I guess people who die doesn’t need a restroom “as she was looking down and said “ I wish I had a change of clothes but I guess you guys' down carry human clothes either” Clara got back up and said “ can’t I be alone in this room or do you guys have to watch me forever “ as she was not really like being around people who didn’t really liked her. She walked to the window and looked outside as she scans the area then said “how do you guys live here there is no flowers or even light here” as she looks back her eyes wondering up and down where Phantom was standing actually admiring him, how cute he actually looked before snapping her head away and mumbles to herself “stop it woman it not time to have a someone and from here” As Clara sat back down and then sighed before saying “I am tired and really want to take a nap if you guys down mind leaving thank you “ as she lays down and puts a blanket over her like she was about to fall asleep hoping they would leave the room at least she wanted to get out run.

Clara closes her eyes and yawns before pulling the blanket close to her head and goes into a dream sleep, (the dream) her mother calling “daughter come here me, and your dad got something for you” Clara yells “coming mom” as she headed downstairs to the living of their old farmhouse that they both had before mom died as Clara walks in mother smiles and said “I want to give this neckless it to keep use together” Clara takes the neckless and smiles before saying “thanks mother” as she put it around her neck and smiles then the dream changes to where her mother was pin half way against a tree and the guy standing on the side of the road crying a bit as Clara walks closer to the car with a police as she could see her mother still alive but couldn’t move since her bottom half of her was stuck before saying “ daughter I’ll want you to be safe and stay away from the woods it is a dangerous” Clara nods and said “ what is bad about those woods” mother coughs up blood and said “a lot of bad i can’t say but just stay away and you will never get hurt or killed just do it” Clara nods and said “ i will mom” as she grabs her hand and holds it.

Clara wakes up crying again before grabbing her neckless and said “ i miss you mom the stepmother is not like you I barely is able to go out to the horse you give me before you passed away” as she sniffs and looks at the wall then look at the window looks around before getting up and see if she could open the window as she manage to open the window and she climbs out before figuring how to get down before she notice a tree and grabs in then slides down and took off running fast as her legs can carry her, Clara guess this was the woods her mother warned her able and she didn’t listen to her. Clara through about things as she ran how was she able to get out of this where was she even heading, and would they be able to find her faster than she could run
