------------------------------------------------------------------
The kingdom of Dimhaven is a place bustling with many different creatures from places far from itself. Laws were flexable, magic and the creatures that are here because of it populate the kingdom's walls. Plenty of schools for different skills and a large marketplace in in Dimhaven which made the kingdom a center-point for travelers. The kingdom was thriving under its rulers for generations! Until it wasn't. The neighboring kingdom of Knightbourne had broken it's oath and murdered Dimhaven's rulers. They took over and stripped the kingdom of laws allowing magic, including healing, magical creature transformations, and many other things that didn't allow people to sustain themselves anymore. To enforce these laws they warded the entire kingdom to completely suppress magic, and if anyone tried to reverse the wards would be stopped by trained guards armed with weapons. Even if you survived, you would be taken to the castle and disposed of.
Taking as many important belongings with you ask you could, you and a large group of people decided to escape the kingdom during a the fateful night. Few brought wagons, some their pets, others their weapons. It will take weeks of traveling through terrain filled with monsters and bandits alike to make it to a kingdom with similar law's to your former home. Are you prepared to survive the trip?

We start at the dead of night in Dimhaven, no guards alerted nor in sight. The plan was for the group to meet under the large tree south of the kingdom's walls, far enough away for the light of any torches to be as small as fireflies.
.
Micah Quinven | 25 | Werewolf | Mentions:
Micah has stayed awake the past few days preparing for this night. She dressed herself in loose brown pants and a long sleeved green shirt. She pulled a thick belt through her pants loop than slipped a leather vest over her shirt and wrapped her ankles and wrists with leather strips. She never wore shoes. Currently in her second form, she pulled her tail through the hole in her pants. She slid her two daggers through the sheathed on her belt and put her bag over her shoulder.

Her bag contained the basics, a few different clothing items, medical things like bandages, a few wanted posters for herself that she snagged off a wall a couple months ago, dried meats, and a few trinkets she hoped not to lose. She left her house, ears pointing around alertly. The silence was eerie. She climbed herself over the wall and made her way to the tree with no issues, lucky her.

Indra || 24 || Human || Mentions: Micah, Open

The cold air was crisp and biting in the dead of night, as his hands tightened on the reigns. The wagon was steadily treading along to the meeting location, the magic user's tired eyes narrowing as he peered out into the night. The dark countryside was empty, filled with flat plains and the dim shapes faded by darkness. What he was about to do was dangerous, and most certainly foolish but he could care less. A picture of calm, he simply fastened his cloak and held it tight whilst smoking a pipe.

He traveled abroad many times, seen what the lands had to offer. Despite its treachery, the journey ahead was of little concern to him. Though deeper circumstances than a bit of travel were what truly troubled him. The Kingdom of Knightbourne. His once home nation, they were the cause of this much needed journey... Turning the last safe haven people like him for thousands of miles into a pit of vipers. Indra was no idiot. Even if they left the sight of the Knightbourne, those who were more than Human would be hunted till the end of days. Disappear. That is what must be done... And that's what worried him, no one could truly hide from such an empire... From Knightbourne. They were monstrous in their tenacity, their desire to make those like him bleed.

It pained him to think of the Kingdom in such a manner, it once was his home and now... Indra closed his eyes, clearing his thoughts. Darkness engulfed him as his senses took the forefront. The night song humming with crickets and the breeze lightly swaying the tall grasses and trees. It was peaceful and eased nerves. He opened his eyes, as he felt a turn in the road. The tree was just ahead, and with a sigh, took one last pull from the pipe before removing it from his mouth. The wagon came to a still, as the Young Man stepped off, hitching it up to a nearby tree stump.

Already he could see one had made it to the meeting place, this desolate oak in the dark plain. Indra walked with a quiet and tempered stride until he was standing before the tree. It's leaves drooping down lowly like a vail keeping all branches hidden in a field of green. His right hand rose up to touch them, feeling the leaves between his fingers. His silver eyes observed the girl before him, one of the many going on the journey for asylum. She was small of built and yet still held the look of a predator. Her hair and eyes brown, with fangs and pronounced ears. A werecreature of some variety...

Indra made a noise to alert her of his presence, grunting into the closed fist of his left hand before cautiously waving at her in greeting. He wasn't sure what to say, nothing could be said in such a situation that hadn't been said before. Instead he pointed towards to a spot on the ground near the foot of the tree questioningly before speaking softly.

"Is this spot taken?", he asked the girl.

Micah had heard him approach and chose to ignore him until she heard him speak. She turned to him sharply, memorizing his face just in case. She made note of his silver eyes and the markings on his face, they'd make it easier to recognize him. After a second of thought, and a recollection of circumstances, she decided to at least try to be nice. She pulled her ears back slightly, "No, go ahead. We might be hear awhile." She spoke in her usual gruff tone as she looked towards the walls of her second home to flee.
.
She stood still, and she twisted her ears towards the kingdom's walls trying to hear if anyone else was on there way. She was nervous, if anyone got caught trying to leave there was no doubt in her mind that the guards would start flooding out of the castle.
"Have any trouble?" She asked, turning back to him.

Indra || 24 || Human || Mentions: Micah, Open

He nodded at her response to his question. He took note of her voice, as gruff as a grindstone and held a sharpness like a blade. He could internally feel his mental gears churning as it locked into memory. 'She sounds tough', he mentally concluded. Time would truly tell, but Indra wasn't a poor judge of character in most situations. Those days were behind him...

He sat down, back leaned against the tree as he once again pulled out his pipe. With a snap of his fingers he lit it once more, an electric spark setting the herbs within ablaze. He inhaled, his eyes roaming the night sky observing the stars. It was a moment of awkward silence, but he welcomed it nonetheless.

The girl broke the silence, her gruff voice neutral but there was the faintest bit to tension within. He exhaled, smoke leaving his lips as he mulled over her question.

"No. Just the usual", he replied easily. His face adopted a look of thought before speaking again. "On second thought... The guards did hassle me a bit over the wagon, said the axles weren't up to code. Whatever the hell that means. I am sure they just wanted to try and have an excuse to search the thing...", he said followed by an annoyed sigh.

"How about you, any trouble?", he asked.

She turned to him as soon as she smelt smoke, curiosity always getting the best of her. She had always been curios about magic, never being able to learn about it any more than how much it could it hurt when used as a weapon. She could never perform it herself, her parents always saying the ability was traded away generations ago. She didn't question it until she escaped to Dimhaven.
.
She wasn't surprised about the wagon, she scoffed. "I'd be surprised they even noticed the wagon had wheels. I left without running into a single one." She said, turning back to the walls. She felt like she had to keep looking. The sooner the others got here the sooner they can leave this prison of a kingdom.

Indra || 24 || Human || Mentions: Micah, Open

He 'hummed' in response to her jape about the guards. He internally frowned at the idea of Knightbourne soldiers being dumb. If Fate didn't play her tricks he would have been one of many of the very Warriors they were running from. Her words felt like almost like an insult even if they weren't aimed at him, not that she knew that.

Regardless, Indra over looked it with mirth.

She did have a point, the Knights who stopped him let him go rather easily after he cast an illusion upon them. It was a rather low leveled illusion which could have been stopped by anyone with proper mental fortitude. To be concise, those gate guards were weak, foolish people. He let out a small laugh.

Indra gazed back at the girl, taking another puff from his pipe. Her gaze never left the walls around the city, her eyes held this anxious gleam. He originally intended to gloss over the tense atmosphere, he too was nervous about tonight and the escape from Dimhaven, but she seemed to be ruled by her anxiety at the moment. Indra's eyes became soft for a moment before looking away from her, searching for a topic to distract her with.

"The sky is rather pleasant tonight. A New Moon, and yet bright enough to see the stars...", he said to no one in particular. "...Just wish it wasn't so damned cold".

Micah was oblivious to his past, had she known she'd almost insulted him, she would feel no different. After all, all she could feel towards the Knightbourne kingdom was anger and sorrow, and maybe a little, tiny bit of gratitude. Her seeing her cousin showing up, days before Dimhaven's capture, with wanted posters in tow she already had herself packing. She'd become so paranoid that she stayed in her house for a week after, fearful that she'd run into one of them while leaving. Dimhaven's fall was the final push for her to find somewhere else.
-
Her ears flattened to her head briskly. She almost tensed at the thought of her family finding her, just thinking about it made her miss half of what the dark-haired man was saying. She stuffed her feelings down and straightened up, she needed to focus. She hadn't even noticed how cold it was with anxiety plaguing her mind. 'Pathetic. If this were a job you'd be dead.' she chastised herself. She refocused her eyes towards the kingdom, choosing that what he said couldn't have been very important.

Leviathan Midas Somberg | 20 | Fairy/Incubus Demon | Mentions: Micah, Indra, Open

Leviathan tumbled from his bed with a lack of grace one would usually connect to being drunk out of his goddamn mind. This observation would sadly not be correct, the man was just very graceless when it came to the morning, like a toad frozen in ice. He greatly disliked the fact that the group he was travelling with decided to leave in the dead of night. He was half tempted to just sleep on and stay in the horrid place they called home. However, he knew he couldn’t. He had to leave if he were to survive, already the vampires were dying off, soon the other non-humans would probably be similarly affected.

He groaned and picked himself off the floor, practically peeling his face off the cold floor. He stood and stretched long and slow, bringing himself up to his full, intimidating, four foot nine height. It wasn’t all too difficult to guess that this man was a fairy, though other than his height he did almost look human, if not for his unnaturally green eyes. With the oppression they had become a bit less saturated, yet the color was still not one found on a human. The emerald hue was unmistakably a hereditary hint towards his fairy lineage. Though, the other part of his lineage was not visible. His small black horns had died and fallen off after the oppression began, removing any link to his demon blood, though the attractions inherited from the Incubus side was still there, enhancing his fairy beauty to something different, something more sensual.

Levi dressed quietly in his usual clothing, loose fabric pants that were cinched at his waist and ankles, a small brown leather vest overtop a loose white tunic. His bracelets he didn’t bother removing, they never came off. They were a reminder of a time when he had been free, when he had struck out from this god forsaken city to explore the world. Something had drawn him back, he wasn’t sure why, but he had returned here just before the oppression had began. It had been his doom. He got stuck here after the oppression began, unable to leave. Every day since then he regretted returning.

Levi plucked his bag off the end of the bed, he had pre-packed it with some extra layers if they went through a colder climate, some supplies, and of course a couple bottles of hard liquor. He had wrapped them in thick cloth to keep them from making any noise, he didn’t think the others would approve of his item, therefore he wouldn’t tell them.

Levi exited the boarding house he was staying in out the back. There was an enclosed porch with a few sets of tables and chairs. He perched himself on the railing and sat for a moment, listening. He could hear the crunching roll of a carriage a ways off, perhaps one of their group. He pushed off the railing and dropped to the road below, landing in a crouch to keep the weight off his heels. He stood and brushed himself off yawning as he tucked his hands into his deep pockets, casually strolling down the street.

He didn’t bother sneaking around this area, these roads and buildings made up the pit of the city, the worst of the worst lived here. Drunkards, scumbags, murderers, rapists, beggars, you name it. They all stayed in this part of town. Nobody bothered to keep the order down here, so there was no one to catch him. He continued his slow leisurely pace all the way up until he reached the wall of the city, he really didn’t care to be worried.

Levi followed the wall for a couple minutes until he found a barrel and a stack of boxes leaned up against it, he was too short to scale it without a boost. Stepping onto the barrel he reached up and placed his hands on the top of the boxes, heaving and pulling himself up. From there he could easily jump onto the top of the wall, which he did. The whole ordeal was far from graceful, with quite a bit of grunting and heaving, but he made it.

He glanced down the other side of the wall. Perhaps it hadn’t been in his best interest to get shit faced the other night, the hangover still lingered with him causing him to be far less agile than he usually was. He shrugged and glanced around in the areas beyond the wall, searching for the tree. He spotted it a ways down the wall. Great, he just had to pick the spot a million miles away. He sighed and dropped over the other side of the wall. Then he began walking.

After a good bit of walking Levi finally turned a curve in the wall and came abruptly upon the tree. He heaved a sigh of relief and swatted the branches out of his face, moving towards the trunk. He instantly spotted two people already there, and a wagon in the back. There was a girl she had a tail and ears, clearly a werewolf. There was also a man, perhaps a human, he had strange marking all over his face. Levi was quite intrigued by this odd human, he wanted to learn the reason for the runes.

“Ah, how sweet. I have a welcoming party. And here I thought I was the only one who liked to be timely.” He cupped his hands over his chin and looking as if he were amazed and thankful. The look quickly disappeared as he snickered and walked over squatted down a couple feet away from the two, feeling instant relief as he sat down, his legs crossed, and leaning back on his hands, inspecting the two travelers.

Micah watched as another man approached them at the tree. A rather short man, she had no doubts that he was a fairy. She was a little confused, at first glance his eyes were like those of a child. She took a double take and realized it was just the shape. She rolled her eyes at his words. 'This is going to be fun.' she thought sarcastically. At least someone else had shown up, hopefully the others will decide to show themselves soon. She insisted to herself that she would continue to stand, just incase any problems would surface.
