I was told it was fine to put these here so, here we go.
This should mostly contain lore for The Perfect Lie RP. Feel free to post if we need more lore written up, and even if you're not part of the RP if you want to know something that isn't here feel free to suggest it! ^^
Rhaine is a super welcoming place for anyone new. It’s the kind of town that seems perfect when you visit for the first, second, or even third time. Everything feels friendly, peaceful, and picture-perfect, almost like it’s too good to be true. If you’re just visiting, you might feel like this is the kind of place where you’d want to settle down. But if you live there, it’s just regular life. Sure, it’s calm and happy most of the time, but like anywhere else, it has moments of loneliness and isolation. The town has a cozy, homey vibe with a lot of decorations everywhere. Holidays feel extra special here, with lights and displays that make everything magical, especially at Christmas.

The town is well cared for, with a mix of houses—some fancy mansions and some smaller, simpler homes. Some of the houses look older, but that’s just to make it seem like the town has been around for a long time. Most homes are two-story buildings with two or three bedrooms, and there are more mansions on Main Street, where the “important” people live. The workers of the experiment, like teachers and doctors, live closer to their jobs, while the experiments themselves are spread around the middle of town. The outer neighborhood is quieter, with smaller houses where most of the kids live.

The Town Square is at the very center of Rhaine, with roads curving around it and paths connecting it to everything else. It’s a big, open space where people come to shop, hang out, and enjoy town events. In the summer, vendors set up booths here, and the atmosphere feels lively and cheerful. Across the street is The Park, a perfect spot for picnics, hanging out, or taking your partner on a cute date. The park is beautiful all year round but especially during Christmas when the lights cover the trees. There’s also a big forest nearby that people are allowed to explore, adding to the natural charm of the town.

The school is huge and covers all grades, from kindergarten to grade 12, though the high school section was only recently added. Younger kids can go to daycare run by licensed workers. There’s a hospital near the school, and it’s well-staffed for such a small town. Everything in Rhaine runs smoothly, almost like clockwork. Schedules are normal, with adults going to work, kids going to school, and weekends feeling like weekends. There’s nothing obviously strange about the town, but visitors sometimes notice odd little things. Maybe the seasons feel off, like winter coming late or summer lasting too long. Weather predictions can be wrong, too, like a sunny day turning cloudy, but everyone brushes it off like it’s no big deal.

Farley Road leads out of town toward the city, about one or two hours away. It’s surrounded by farmland, but the land is strangely empty, with no farmers or houses in sight. The road feels lonely and quiet, making it a favorite spot for angsty teenagers who like to mope around at dusk. The graveyard is far from town, almost near the city, and most people don’t bother going there.

To everyone living in Rhaine, this is just normal life. Parents go to work, kids go to school, and nobody questions the friendly atmosphere or how neat and organized everything is. But visitors often feel like something’s a little off, even if they can’t quite say what. The workers of the experiment are always kind and polite, maybe a little too much, but nothing seems unnatural. If you pay close enough attention, though, you might catch someone acting just a little too perfect or slipping up in a way that doesn’t feel real. Still, there’s no obvious pattern, no big clue that gives anything away. Everything seems fine. It’s just a nice little town, right?

The park is a pretty big deal for the town. For such a small place, it’s actually really decent. Right in the middle, there’s a giant lake shaped a bit like a lopsided liver. It’s a favorite spot, especially at Christmas, because it freezes over and becomes the perfect place for ice skating. Around the park, there are tons of big, beautiful trees—white ash, black cherry, red oak, and Norway maple. They’re everywhere, giving the park this calm, shaded vibe, especially in summer.

On the east side of the park, there’s a spot where the trees form this natural canopy, like a leafy ceiling. Beneath it, there’s a flat stone floor that’s used as a dance floor. People love it because the trees filter the sunlight just right, making it feel magical. They even brought in the stones just to make it better for all the little town events.

The town square is more like a big circle than a square, but that’s just how it is. It’s where most of the action happens, especially in summer and spring. You’ll find a bunch of cafes around here, and this is where vendors from the city set up shop. It’s easily the most social spot in Rhaine when the weather’s nice. People gather, hang out, grab coffee, or just enjoy the atmosphere.

The forest is huge, practically surrounding the whole town except for where it meets the farmland. There are tons of trails leading into it from all over town, so it’s super easy to get lost in exploring. If you head south from the town square, you’ll find some really beautiful watery spots. There are these little ponds with greenish-blue water, some in full sunlight and others hidden in the shade. There’s about four or five of them, and they’re perfect for water creatures like nymphs or anyone who loves a quiet, magical vibe.

Further south, there’s a larger lake. Most people wouldn’t go in it—it looks kind of intimidating—but for mermaids and sirens, it’s the dream. The water’s calm, with jagged rocks scattered around, making it feel both eerie and beautiful.

Over on the eastern side of the forest, there are a lot of old, abandoned buildings. Some are broken down, covered in vines, or just forgotten. These buildings are super tall, making them perfect for creatures that love being above the treetops, perched high up where they can watch everything.

Everywhere else in the forest? That’s the best for just running wild and free. It’s open and untamed, perfect for anyone who wants to feel alive.
